  • Recently, the development of the information-communications industry has created a new paradigm of the ubiquitous and the smart environments. An USN is a typical technology for constructing a ubiquitous environments. But the USN technologies applied in practice have a lot of problems and to solve these problems that this study was to build a test bed. For the creation of the needs of USN technology, we suggest a method and service of monitoring of road hazards combining the USN and the Geographic Information System(GIS). We conduct making the USN equipment relevant provisions surveys, making installation guidelines, construction system and real-time testing. This study is capable of the management of public facilities, real-time monitoring of accident and the environment data and is expected to be expanded to a 3D facility management combineded with BIM in the future.

The functions of CIMS include production planing, material requirement planning, work order generation, process control, quality control, shipping planning, warehouse and inventory management and material cost accounting.[1] In this paper focuses on the automatic warehouse control and inventory management by developing the information system as well as the Internet-based integration. The system overview is divided into three parts, the mechanical system, the computer and developed software to control and manage the information and the communication system. The mechanical system consists of the warehouse machine and forklift mobile robot controlled by programmable logic controller (PLC). The computer works on many functions such as control station interfaces with PLC, managing database and inventory, and Internet server to broadcast the inventory database to users via World Wide Web and monitoring the operation on web camera. Our scheme the inventory database can be checked easily anywhere and anytime when the users connect to the Internet. In this article, the lead-time and inventory level can be reduced therefore the holding cost and operating time is also decreased.

  • A design framework to employ the multidisciplinary design optimization technologies on a computer system has been developed and is named as the Extensible Multidisciplinary Design Integration and Optimization System (EMDIOS). The framework can not only effectively solve complex system design problems but also conveniently handle MDO problems. Since the EMDIOS exploits both state-of-the-art of computing capabilities and sophisticated optimization techniques, it can overcome many scalability and complexity problems. It can make users who are not even familiar with the optimization technology use EMDIOS easily to solve their design problems. The client of EMDIOS provides a front end for engineers to communicate the EMDIOS engine and the server controls and manages various resources luck as scheduler, analysis codes, and user interfaces. EMDIOS client supports data monitoring, design problem definition, request for analyses and other user tasks. Three main components of the EMDIOS are the Engineering Design Object Model which is a basic idea to construct EMDIOS, EMDIOS Language (EMDIO-L) which is a script language representing design problems, and visual modeling tools which can help engineers define design problems using graphical user interface. Several example problems are solved and EMDIOS has shown various capabilities such as ease of use, process integration, and optimization monitoring.

  • In this paper, to increase the maintenance efficiency of the urban railway train control system and to build a standard data system, we collect as much as possible structured, unstructured, and semi-structured data, and collect data by sensing and monitoring the system status and system status and monitoring. pre-process function data(Identification, purification, integration, transformation) through effective data classification and maintenance activities business classification system was studied. The purpose of this is to define the data matrix model by considering the relationship with the data generated and managed in the O&M stage of the train control system operated by the urban railway together with the WBS model, and to reflect and utilize it in practice.

  • Recent Class requirements and IMO recommendations concerning Hull Strength Monitoring (HSM) have prompted an increasing number of shipowner to adopt monitoring systems on bulk carriers and tanker. Such systems are designed to give warning when stress levels and the frequency and magnitude of ship motions approach levels which require corrective action. When fitted these systems provide enhanced operational safety and efficiency. This paper describes a development beyond the standard BMT HSM system through the integration of stress, motion and radar-based sea state monitoring with powerful, on-board, artificial intelligence (AI) tools. The latter utilises conceptual clustering techniques as an aid to pattern recognition in stress, fatigue. motion and sea state data clusters. This, in turn, provides additional operational guidance for ship's staff. Feedback from applications of the standard BMT HSM and extended HSM systems on board the British Steel Bulk Shipping fleet is described.

  • In recent years, by utilizing the greatest strengths of process mining, the various research activities have been actively progressed to use auditing work of business organization. On the other hand, there is insufficient research on systematic and efficient analysis of massive data generated under big data environment using process mining, and proactive monitoring of risk management from audit side, which is one of important management activities of corporate organization. In this study, we intend to realize Hadoop-based internal audit integrated real-time monitoring system in order to detect the abnormal symptoms in prevent accidents in advance. Through the integrated real-time monitoring system for purchasing audit, we intend to realize strengthen the delivery management of purchasing materials ordered, reduce cost of purchase, manage competitive companies, prevent fraud, comply with regulations, and adhere to internal control accounting system. As a result, we can provide information that can be immediately executed due to enhanced purchase audit integrated real-time monitoring by analyzing data efficiently using process mining via Hadoop-based systems. From an integrated viewpoint, it is possible to manage the business status, by processing a large amount of work at a high speed faster than the continuous monitoring, the effectiveness of the quality improvement of the purchase audit and the innovation of the purchase process appears.

  • Laser welding application for car body manufacturing has many advantages in the stiffness and the lightness of vehicle, the productivity of assembly line, and the degree of freedom in design. This presentation will express the innovation of car body manufacturing including parameter optimization, process modeling, and system integration. In this application the investment for systems was cut down dramatically by real time switching over the laser path between two welding stations. Points of technical discussion are as follows: optimization of parameters such as laser power, robot speed and trajectory, compact and useful design of jig & fixture to assure welding quality for 3 sheet-layer zinc-coated steel, system integration between 4kW Nd:YAG laser device and the other systems, on-line real time welding quality monitoring system, perfect safety standards for high power laser, minimization of consumption costs such as arc lamp, protective glass for optic, etc. Laser welding has found a place on Hyundai's production plant in conjunction with the startup of mass production of new sports car, and this production system is the result of a collaboration of its engineers. Outer side sheets are joined to inner side sheets by 122 stitch welds totally. And the length is about 2.4meter.

  • The integration of photovoltaic (PV) energy sources into DC grid has gained considerable attention because of its enhanced conversion efficiency with reduced number of power conversion stages. During the integration process, a local control unit is normally included with every power conversion stage of the PV source to accomplish the process of maximum power point tracking. A centralized monitoring and supervisory control unit is required for monitoring, power management, and protection of the entire system. Therefore, we propose a field-programmable gate array (FPGA) based centralized control unit that integrates all local controllers with the centralized monitoring unit. The main focus of this study is on the process of integrating many local control units into a single central unit. In this paper, we present design and optimization procedures for the hardware implementation of FPGA architecture. Furthermore, we propose a transient analysis and control design methodology with consideration of the nonlinear characteristics of the PV source. Hardware experiment results verify the efficiency of the central control unit and controller design.
