The present study is to develop the rearing method of Gryllotalpa orientalis. In total 429 of G. orientalis were collected from the field rearing cage ($25m^2$) in 2012. Its sex ratio was 1: 1.15(Female : Male). Survival rate of the mole crickets was 94.4~86.1% with the artificial diets formulated for the present study. Successful oviposition rate was 20, 20 and 80% for one, two and three pairs of adult crickets, respectively, from the indoor rearing. The mean number of hatchlings was $11.8{\pm}21.7$, $15.7{\pm}26.4$ and $25.8{\pm}38.8$, and the mean number of dead hatchlings 1.2, 1.7 and 1.2. The mortality of nymphs on horticultural soil and clay sand mixed with ocher was 18.3 and 10.0%, respectively. The mortality of nymphs in circular and rectangular cages was, respectively, 60 and 40%.

경기도 화성군 소재 한국인삼연초연구소 경작시험장 내에서 1990년과 1992년에 땅강아지(Gryllotalpa africana)의 주음성을 조사하였다. 웅성충은 지표 밑 굴의 입구로부터 유인음을 냈은데 강도는 입구 15 cm 위에서 77~80 dB 이었다. 녹음된 웅충 유인음이 직경 1.4m의 funnel중앙에 설치된 2개의 horn speaker에 의해 105~110 dB 로 증폭하여 야외에서 방사되었을 때 비상 성충이 일몰 후 약 30분부터 1.5시간 동안 유인되었다. 유인성충들 중, 14.3~16.7%는 funnel안에, 65.7~74.7%는 발음원으로부터 2 m 이내에 지면에 착지하였다. 자충률은 66.7~74.3%였는데, 이는 야외 개최군의 성비에 기인하는 것으로 보였다. funnel 안과 그 중심에서 2m 이내의 거리에 착지하는 성층수는 blacklight trap에 유인된 성층수보다 다소 많은 경향을 보였다.

본고는 십성당 엄흔의 시세계를 살펴보는 데 목적을 두었다. 본고가 특히 주목한 점은 엄흔의 현실인식과 이를 바탕으로 지향한 삶의 태도이다. 엄흔은 당대의 현실을 부정(不正)한 것으로 인식하였다. 이는 훈구파에 의해 독점되는 세계로서 시비곡직(是非曲直)을 가리느라 시끄러운 세상, 풍랑 이는 바다, '풍상(風霜)'과 '루의(?蟻)' '구탁조(求啄鳥)' 등에 의해 오동나무가 말라 죽은 태평스럽지 못한 세상이었다. 엄흔은 이러한 부정(不正)의 현실 속에서 고사(高士)와 같이 명철보신하는 출처(出處)를 택하지 않았다. 그가 지향한 삶의 태도는 부정(不正)의 현실을 외면하지 않고 그러한 현실 속에서 자신의 재능을 갖추고 세한(歲寒)의 절조를 지키며 세상을 구제하는 것이었다. 엄흔이 구름이 모이면 사라지고 구름이 걷히면 나타나는 달을 비판하고 세한에도 푸르름을 잃지 않는 경초(勁草)(굳세고 질긴 풀)와 푸르름과 하늘을 찌를 우뚝함을 갖춘 정원의 소나무(정송(庭松))를 찬미한 것은, 바로 경초(勁草)와 정송(庭松)과 같은 삶을 살아가겠다는 엄흔의 삶의 지향이었던 것이다.

Peroxiredoxins are a family of antioxidant proteins ubiquitously found in all living organisms. A type of peroxidase enzyme, named thioredoxin peroxidase (TPx), that reduces $H_2O$$_2$ with the use of electrons from thioredoxin and contains two essential cysteines was identified in a wide variety of organisms ranging from prokaryotes to mammals. TPx homologs, termed peroxiredoxin (Prx), have also been identified and include several proteins, designated 1-Cys Prx, that contain only one conserved cysteine. (omitted)
