다중 쓰레드 기법을 미용한 AGV의 PC기반 분산제어 시스템 (PC Based Distributed Control System of AGV with Multi-Thread Method)

  • With the recent progress in flexible manufacturing systems (FMS) in industry, increasing attention has been given to Automatic Guided Vehicle (AGV) systems. An AGV is a self-powered unit for transporting materials between stations without needing to be controlled by an operator. Such a system has several sensors to recognize the external state, and it is designed to travel between stations automatically without external assistance. To manage each device automatically in real time it requires a distributed controller with a main computer as the host, as well as a number of micro-controllers. In this study, an AGV system with dual motor drive was constructed. A Pentium 4 personal computer was set up as the main host for the distributed control, and this communicated with other micro-controllers in the management of the motor. The speed of each motor was also controlled by a micro-controller.

  • In this paper to cope with the reduction of products life-cycle as the variety of products along with the various demands of consumers, a virtual simulator is developed to make the changeover of manufacturing line efficient to embody a virtual simulation similar to a real manufacturing line. The developed virtual simulator can design a layout of a factory and make the time scheduling. Every factory has one simulator so that one product can be manufactured in the factories to use them as virtual factories. We suggest a scheme that heightens the ability to the diversity of manufacturing models by making the information of manufacturing lines and products models to be shared. The developed system embodies a virtual manufacturing line on the simulation using various manipulators and work cells as manufacturing components. we develop a virtual simulator system on Window 98/NT environment of Microsoft, operating system using of the greater part of PC user. Window program have a merit making GUI environment that programmer can use without the expert knowledge about hardware. A suer with the simulator can utilize an interface that makes one to manage the separate task process for each manufacturing module, change operator components and work cells, and easily teach tasks of each task module.

  • It is necessary to construct an effective regional information system in facing the incoming information intensive society. Many local government in Korea began to recognize a need for constructing a GIS(Geographic Information System) and they are planning to construct GIS´s to improve their administrative efficiency. However, ti requires high-priced hardware, software, and an experienced operator to sue a GIS effectively. The purpose of this study is to develop the GIS program which can be sued with ease by common users. By developing a GIS functioned program using a coordinate recognition module by application of geo-spatial data, and a digital map which is already made, this program can be used efficiently only by only inputting attributes without high-priced hardware and software, and can be utilized easily to every purposes of work with geo-spatial data and attributes. MapObjects, mapping and GIS component, was employed to use geo-spatial data, and Access 97 from Microsoft to manage and attributes database. Visual Basic, objected-oriented language, was used to develop an application program. Results of this study were applied to constructing the Information system of Kanwon National University. This program could be used for various purposed by common users without additional hardware and software.

  • A new RF control system of Pohang Accelerator Laboratory (PAL) storage ring is a subsystem upgraded PAL control system, which is based upon Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System (EPICS). There are 5 control components, Low Level RF System (LRS), Klystron System, Circulator System, Cavity System, Local Cooling Water System (LCW) at the storage ring of PAL. The new RF control system for the storage ring has been under development for one years, first versions of individual VME (Versa Module Europa) Input/output modules under construction and system integration begun. In this system, VMEbus-based hardware is widely used for front-end controllers (FDS), Input/output controller (IOC). A number of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and SUN workstations are also used for Operator Interfaces (OPI) in the control system. This paper describes the development VME I/O module to the new control system and how the design of this new system.

A Basic Study on Development of a Tracking Module for ARPA system for Use on High Dynamic Warships

  • The maritime industry is expanding at an alarming rate hence there is a perpetual need to improve situation awareness in the maritime environment using new and emerging technology. Tracking is one of the numerous ways of enhancing situation awareness by providing information that may be useful to the operator. The tracking module designed herein comprises determining existing states of high dynamic target warship, state prediction and state compensation due to random noise. This is achieved by first analyzing the process of tracking followed by design of a tracking algorithm that uses ${\alpha}-{\beta}-{\gamma}$ tracking filter under a random noise. The algorithm involves initializing the state parameters which include position, velocity, acceleration and the course. This is then followed by state prediction at each time interval. A weighted difference of the observed and predicted state values at the $n^{th}$ observation is added to the predicted state to obtain the smoothed (filtered) state. This estimation is subsequently employed to determine the predicted state in the next radar scan. The filtering coefficients ${\alpha}$, ${\beta}$ and ${\gamma}$ are determined from a pre-determined value of the damping parameter, ${\xi}$. The smoothed, predicted and the observed positions are used to compute the twice distance root mean square (2drms) error as a measure of the ability of the tracking module to manage the noise to acceptable levels.

  • 다양한 생산 설비에 따른 설비정보를 MES 등의 생산시스템에 효율적으로 제공하기 위해 설비 정보 수집 시스템은 생산현장의 설비 및 공정특성을 고려한 다양한 설비 인터페이스에 따른 정보 수집이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 생산현장의 다양한 생산 설비의 정보를 수집하기 위해 설비 인터페이스를 통한 설비정보 수집 방법을 제안한다. PLC 기반의 인터페이스, Sensor 기반의 I/O 인터페이스, 작업자 Key-In 에 의한 인터페이스 등 다양한 설비 인터페이스를 통해 생산 현장의 정보를 1 차 수집할 수 있다. 데이터 수집 시스템은 H/W Communication Module 과 Operator Key-In Module을 이용하여 설비 인터페이스를 통해 수집되는 설비 정보를 2 차 가공하며, 데이터 파서(Data Parser)를 통해 수집 정보의 유연성을 높일 수 있다.

EDMFEN: Edge detection-based multi-scale feature enhancement Network for low-light image enhancement

  • To improve the brightness of images and reveal hidden information in dark areas is the main objective of low-light image enhancement (LLIE). LLIE methods based on deep learning show good performance. However, there are some limitations to these methods, such as the complex network model requires highly configurable environments, and deficient enhancement of edge details leads to blurring of the target content. Single-scale feature extraction results in the insufficient recovery of the hidden content of the enhanced images. This paper proposed an edge detection-based multi-scale feature enhancement network for LLIE (EDMFEN). To reduce the loss of edge details in the enhanced images, an edge extraction module consisting of a Sobel operator is introduced to obtain edge information by computing gradients of images. In addition, a multi-scale feature enhancement module (MSFEM) consisting of multi-scale feature extraction block (MSFEB) and a spatial attention mechanism is proposed to thoroughly recover the hidden content of the enhanced images and obtain richer features. Since the fused features may contain some useless information, the MSFEB is introduced so as to obtain the image features with different perceptual fields. To use the multi-scale features more effectively, a spatial attention mechanism module is used to retain the key features and improve the model performance after fusing multi-scale features. Experimental results on two datasets and five baseline datasets show that EDMFEN has good performance when compared with the stateof-the-art LLIE methods.

T-MERGE 연산자에 기반한 분산 토픽맵의 자동 통합 (Automatic Merging of Distributed Topic Maps based on T-MERGE Operator)

  • 온톨로지 통합은 두 소스 온톨로지들을 통합하여 하나의 새로운 온톨로지를 생성하는 과정으로서 시맨틱 웹, 데이타 통합, 지식관리시스템 등 여러 온톨로지 응용 시스템에서 중요하게 다루는 연구주제이다. 그러나 과거의 연구들은 대부분 두 소스 온톨로지들 사이에 의미적으로 대응되는 공통 요소를 효과적으로 찾기 위한 온톨로지 매칭 기법에 집중되어 있으며 매핑 요소들을 통합하는 과정에서 발생하는 문제를 정의하고 해결하는 방법에 대해서는 간과하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 매칭 프로세스에 의해 주어진 매핑 결과에 기반하여 두 소스 온톨로지들을 통합해 나가는 상세한 통합 프로세스를 정의하고 매핑 요소들 사이에 존재하는 통합 충돌의 유형에 대한 분류 체계 및 충돌을 탐지하고 해결하기 위한 기법을 제안한다. 또한 충돌의 탐지 및 해결을 포함하여 통합 과정을 캡슐화하는 T-MERGE 연산자와 통합 과정의 기록과 오류 복구를 위한 MergeLog를 설계 및 구현한다. 제안하는 통합 모듈의 성능을 보이기 위해 동, 서양 철학 온톨로지들과 야후 및 네이버 백과사전의 일부를 온톨로지로 구현하여 실험 데이타로 활용하였으며 그 결과 전문가의 수작업에 의한 온톨로지 통합과 동일한 결과를 적은 시간과 노력으로 얻을 수 있음을 보인다.

A Study On the Design Of Fuzzy Controller for the Steam Temperature Process in the Coal Fired Power Plant

  • In this paper, we proposed the method to design fuzzy controller using the experience of the operating expert and experimental numeric data for the robust control about the noise and disturbance instead of the traditional PID controller for the main steam temperature control of the thermal power plant. The temperature of main steam temperature process has to be controlled uniformly for the stable electric power output. The process has the problem of the hunting for the cases of various disturbances. In that case, the manual action of the operator happened to be introduced in some cases. We adopted the TSK (Takagi-Sugeno-Kang) model as the fuzzy controller and designed the fuzzy rules using the informations extracted directly from the real plant and various operating condition to solve the above problems and to apply practically. We implemented the real fuzzy controller as the Function Block module in the DCS(Distributed Control System) and evaluated the feasibility through the experiment81 results of the simulation.

Development of an Operator Aid System For The Nuclear Plant Severe Accident Training and Management

  • Recently KAERI has developed the severe accident management guidance to establish Korea standard severe accident management system. On the other hand the PC-based severe accident training simulator SATS has been developed, and the MELCOR code is used as the simulation engine. SATS graphically displays and simulates the severe accidents with interactive user commands. The control capability of SATS could make a severe accident training course more interesting and effective. In this paper the development and functions of the electrical hypertext guidance module HyperKAMG and the SATS-HyperKAMG linkage system for the severe accident management are described.
