  • Morphemes are most primitive units in a language that lose their original meaning when segmented into smaller parts. In Korean, a sentence is a sequence of eojeols (words) separated by spaces. Each eojeol comprises one or more morphemes. Korean morphological analysis (KMA) is to divide eojeols in a given Korean sentence into morpheme units. It also includes assigning appropriate part-of-speech(POS) tags to the resulting morphemes. KMA is one of the most important tasks in Korean natural language processing (NLP). Improving the performance of KMA is closely related to increasing performance of Korean NLP tasks. Recent research on KMA has begun to adopt the approach of machine translation (MT) models. MT is to convert a sequence (sentence) of units of one domain into a sequence (sentence) of units of another domain. Neural machine translation (NMT) stands for the approaches of MT that exploit neural network models. From a perspective of MT, KMA is to transform an input sequence of units belonging to the eojeol domain into a sequence of units in the morpheme domain. In this paper, we propose a deep learning model for KMA. The backbone of our model is based on the BERT-fused model which was shown to achieve high performance on NMT. The BERT-fused model utilizes Transformer, a representative model employed by NMT, and BERT which is a language representation model that has enabled a significant advance in NLP. The experimental results show that our model achieves 98.24 F1-Score.

  • The aim of the present study is to explore the possibility of utilizing loess and fly ash as well as activated carbon for the adsorptive removal of PCBs in transformer oil. Here, we investigated the effect of various factors such as temperature (5, 25, 55), contact time (30 min-3 day) and adsorbent does (1, 2.5, 5, 10 g) in detail. It was found that PCBs adsorption rate from transformer oil by activated carbon is more favored than loess at the equilibrium time of 60 minutes. The equilibrium data for both activated carbon and loess is fitted well to the Freundlich isotherm model. The rate constant and activation energy of PCBs adsorption in transformer oil on each adsorbent was analyzed by fitting a kinetic model at 5, 25 and $55^{\circ}C$. From the thermodynamic parameters, the PCBs adsorption process for transformer oil/activated carbon and loess system is spontaneous and endothermic in nature.

  • A conventional linear accelerator system requires a flat-topped pulse with less than ${\pm}$ 0.5% ripple to meet the beam energy spread requirements and to improve pulse efficiency of RF systems. A pulse transformer is one of main determinants on the output pulse voltage shape. The pulse transformer was investigated and analyzed with the pulse response characteristics using a simplified equivalent circuit model. The damping factor ${\sigma}$ must be >0.86 to limit the overshoot to less than 0.5% during the flat-top phase. The low leakage inductance and distributed capacitance are often limiting factors to obtain a fast rise time. These parameters are largely controlled by the physical geometry and winding configuration of the transformer. A rise time can be improved by reducing the number of turns, but it produces larger pulse droop and requires a larger core size. By tradeoffs among these parameters, the high-voltage pulse transformer with a pulse width of 10 ${\mu}s$, a rise time of 0.84 ${\mu}s$, and a pulse droop of 2.9% has been designed and fabricated to drive a klystron which has an output voltage of 284 kV, 30-MW peak and 60-kW average RF output power. This paper describes design optimization of a high-voltage pulse transformer for high-power pulsed applications. The experimental results were analyzed and compared with the design. The design and optimal tuning parameter of the system was identified using the model simulation.

  • It is necessary to eliminate the broad band noise whose frequency is in the range of several kHz to tens MHz generated from the AC power line to supply the power to electrical and electronic equipments. Because this kind of noise could damage or malfunction such equipments. To suppress those noises, some conventional devices such as a filter or surge suppressor have been used. However, they can not be isolated from the common-mode noise widely spreaded in all power line, which results in poor common-mode rejection performance. In this paper, we proposed a design method of shielded isolation transformer and a jumped circuit analysis model for shielded isolation transformer applicable to filtering common-mode noise as well as normal-mode noise. The analysis model has been verified as a suitable one for shielded isolation transformer through comparison of the simulation with experiment. In addition, it has been shown that the reduction performance for conducted noise of prototype 3 kVA shielded isolation transformer is superior to a unshielded isolation transformer.

  • This paper presents a dynamic model of 2-D magnetostriction in electrical steel sheet (ESS) under rotating flux magnetization conditions and its implementation in finite element method (FEM). For an arbitrary waveform of magnetic flux density (B), the corresponding magnetostriction waveform can be predicted by the model. In order to apply the model to FEM easily, the model is based on trilinear interpolation method. As an example, the model is applied to a three-phase transformer constructed by highly grain-oriented electrical steel sheets and the numerical results by the magnetostriction model are discussed.

  • This paper presented the characteristic of Heat-transfer on the winding composed with Epoxy-resin in a 50 kVA cast-resin dry type transformer The resin cast transformer is used widely in supplying electricity systems. However, to know the thermal characteristics of that is very useful in designing, manufacturing, and maintaining, there is no pertinent method to calculate this. In this paper, Based on the results of the physical characteristics and the simulation by commercial software using FEM method, we established the Prototype Model for this. According to that Model, an analysis on a variation of the hottest spot temperature was discussed as a function of thermal conductivity for the individual windings composed with Epoxy-resin. The thermal conductivity of the individual windings with reference to upper way was discussed.

  • In this paper, the iron loss of a amorphous transformer is calculated by the specific iron loss curve, after calculating flux densities in core using magnetic equivalent circuit method and FEM. In iron loss analysis using FEM, lamination model of amorphous transformer is transformed into anisotropy model, and it is known that the result is almost equal compared with the result of analysis using magnetic equivalent circuit method.

  • The analysis of the thin lamination model of the wound core type transformer by FEM requires many region division and much calculationg time, and it has difficulty in calculation by modem computer. A new method which is simulated by a solid but anisotropic block with the magnetic permeabilities in the orthogonal dimension, is selected to account for the presence of the lamination.[1] Based on this equivalent anisotropic block model, we analyze the iron loss of the wound core type transformer by FEM, and compare the simulation results with the experimental results.
