승용차 스티어링 칼럼 시스템의 진동해석과 승차감 개선에 관한 연구 (A study on the vibration analysis of automobile steering system and improvement of ride comfort)

  • In this paper, in order to analyze dynamic characteristics of automobile steering system consisting of many components, natural frequencies and transfer functions of each component and total system are found on FFT by experiments. Then, the data are transmitted to commercial package program, CADA-PC. By analyzing the data, the mode shape of each natural frequency and damping values are obtained. Also, the function of rubber coupling in column and telescoping effects on system are considered. C.A.E commercial program are used to compare with the results of experiments. For finite element modeling, I-DEAS is used. Data processing and post processing are operated on NASTRAN and XL, respectively. The ball-bearing and the linkage of shaft with column are modeled by spring elements. Stiffness is modified from the results of experiments. The results of those show close agreement. In the mode shape of total system, wheel mode is dominant at lower frequency while the column mode is main mode at higher . The role of rubber coupling in vibration isolation is clear on mode shape. Telescoping function makes natural frequency of column changed.

  • A modeling method for the vibration analysis of rotating cantilever plastes with stiffeners is presented. The equations of motion for the plates aer derived and trnasformed into a dimensionless form. A mass density Dirac's delta function is used to idealize the stiffener mathematically. The effects of stiffeners on the model characteristics of the plate are investigated, and mode shape variations due to some parameter variation are exhibited. It is found that veering phenomena occur between some loci and associated mode shapes change significantly during the veering phenomena.

  • The main obstacle to high track density in HDD is the structural resonances of the suspension. The most critical mode is sway mode and second torsion mode, when a data is read and written. It is common fact that the effect of two modes is smaller when a thickness is bulky. But the stiffness of suspension is smaller, the slider can follow a disk better. Because these two fact are reciprocal, a compromise is needed. So we investigated another method to improve band width without changing of the thickness of suspension but with changing of the shape. In this paper, we use two method - Sensitivity analysis and SIP using ADS. And we obtained the optimized value close to target value.

Enhanced least square complex frequency method for operational modal analysis of noisy data

  • Operational modal analysis is being widely used in aerospace, mechanical and civil engineering. Common research fields include optimal design and rehabilitation under dynamic loads, structural health monitoring, modification and control of dynamic response and analytical model updating. In many practical cases, influence of noise contamination in the recorded data makes it difficult to identify the modal parameters accurately. In this paper, an improved frequency domain method called Enhanced Least Square Complex Frequency (eLSCF) is developed to extract modal parameters from noisy recorded data. The proposed method makes the use of pre-defined approximate mode shape vectors to refine the cross-power spectral density matrix and extract fundamental frequency for the mode of interest. The efficiency of the proposed method is illustrated using an example five story shear frame loaded by random excitation and different noise signals.

고가사다리차의 알루미늄 붐 형상의 최적설계에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Optimal Design for Aluminum Boom Shape in High Ladder Vehicles)

  • An Optimal shape design of the boom system in high ladder vehicles is performed using 3-D finite element method (FEM). Results of structural analyses providing displacements, stresses are implemented for the optimum shape design. Lanzcos algorithm is used for the modal analysis in order to find natural frequencies. The optimal shape including cross sectional thickness and length of the boom system is controlled by the subproblem method besed on displacement and Von Mises stress. It is found that a plenty of materials can be saved by using shape design optimization in high ladder vehicles. It is also found that the natural frequency is increased until 6th mode and maintained similarly or decreased after 6th mode.

  • This paper described the dynamic characteristics of 20-story apartment buildings from the results of full-scale measurements and analysis. The natural frequencies and mode shapes are quantified by measuring and analyzing ambient vibrations of the structure and compared with the results from dynamic analysis. Comparison with computed mode shapes and frequencies shows good agreement with the experimental results. It proved that it is important to estimate coupling beam and soil parameters through a comparison of the measured results with calculated results.

  • The Operational Deflection Shape designates the motion pattern by which a structure vibrates under a specific operating condition. Modal Analysis is usually tested under test bench, but Operational Deflection Shape can be measured directly under real operating condition. It provide useful information for trouble-shooting and aid understanding and evaluation of the absolute dynamic behaviour of a machine or component. In this paper, It is analysed Excavator Upper Frame using Operating Deflection Shape.

  • 본 연구는 정현형 주름과 마름모형 주름 형상의 전단좌굴 특성을 비교, 분석하는 것이 목적이다. 이를 위해서 동일한 길이의 마름모꼴 주름과 정현파주름을 해석대상모델로 채택하였으며, 선형좌굴해석을 통한 전단좌굴특성과 이론식에 의한 특성을 분석하였다. 일반적으로 주름강판의 전단좌굴 형태는 국부좌굴, 전체좌굴 및 두 좌굴에 의한 연성좌굴로 분류된다. 그러나 마름모꼴주름과는 달리 정현파주름형상은 평평한 면이 없기 때문에 전단좌굴의 양상에 대한 경향이 달라진다. 특히 국부좌굴과 전체좌굴의 경계에서 나타나는 전단응력변화와 양상은 주름형태에 의해 차이가 난다. 분석 결과에서 볼 때, 제형 (마름모꼴)의 경우는 이론식내의 전체좌굴과 국부좌굴의 경계에서 연성좌굴모드가 발생했다. 그러나 정현파형의 경우 전체좌굴이 발생하는 구간에서 연성좌굴모드가 발생하는 양상을 보였다. 또한 국부좌굴 구간에는 제형형상이 그리고 전체좌굴 구간에서는 정현파형상이 전단좌굴에 저항하는데 유리하게 작용하였다.

스퍼기어와 헬리컬기어의 동적 특성 비교 (Comparison of Dynamic Characteristics of Spur Gears and Helical Gears)

  • This work dealt with dynamic characteristics of spur gear and helical gear system to understand the gear vibration and noise. To find out dynamic characteristics in the gear system, a finite element model and an analytic model for the gear system were used. Using the models, the natural frequency and mode-shape characteristics of spur gears and helical gears were calculated. Two models show that natural frequencies of helical gears were lower than those of spur gears. Mode-shape characteristics of gear pairs by analytical model and some issues of finite element modeling were also discussed. Impact test was used to validate the finite element model.

언커플 시스템의 모우드 분석 연구 (Mode Analysis of Uncoupled System)

  • In this study, a mode analysis of uncoupled system was discussed using FRF. The eigen-mode range of FRF analysis is consistent with conventional FFT in spectrum. Also, the numerical response of second order uncoupled system was obtained using the Runge-Kutta Gill method. The displacement, velocity and acceleration response were calculated after numerical analysis and its response was used for the calculation of FRF for uncoupled system. Using the separated and mixed response of 1st and 2nd mode in example, its FRF was analysed for the prediction of the uncoupled systems and its mode shape was calculated by solving the eigen problem.
