At the center of the repeating evolution of IT industry, there is mobile computing in the ubiquitous environment, and the increasing usage of smart phones contribute more to its growth. P corporation co-developed with Google and implemented smart work system called SWP for the purpose of 'communication and collaboration with co-workers' beyond the general goal of increasing productivity and comfort of employees. The primary objective of this study is to objectively analyze the influence of the effect factor from end user's perspective and user satisfaction on SWP usage, intention for continuous usage and individual performance. To accomplish this research purpose, this study established research models and hypothesis by collective review about information system success models, and tested the research hypotheses using the structural equation modeling technique by data collected from 320 SWP system users of P corporation. Variations for system satisfaction evaluation standard are 1)SW system usage 2) intention for continuous usage 3) individual performance, effect variations are 1) social factors 2) technical factors 3) combination of social and technical factors. Therefore, this study is about influence factors on success of SWP system and how the factors impact the outcome. The test results of this research model is summarized as follows. Firstly, system user's satisfaction had positive impact on all three; SWP system usage, intention for continuous usage and individual performance. Secondly, social factor 'SWP control system' and technical factor 'information quality' and 'system quality' had positive impact on SWP system user satisfaction, while social factor 'shared value' and technical factor 'service quality' did not have significant effect on user satisfaction. Shared value however, had interactive effect with 'information quality' and 'service quality'. This study is expected to contribute to spread of academic research on smart work system by suggesting a model that can show important factors for corporation while explaining the successful implementation of SWP and its continuous usage.

A differential codebook using M-ary phase shift keying (M-PSK) constellation as its codeword elements, is proposed for Long term evolution (LTE), LTE-Advanced (LTE-A), and/or WiMAX systems. Due to the temporal correlation of the adjacent channel, the consecutive precoding matrices are likely to be similar. This approach quantize only the differential information of the channel instead of the whole channel subspace, which virtually increase the codebook size to realize more accurate quantization of the channel. Especially, the proposed codebook has the same properties of LTE release-8 codebook that is, constant modulus, complexity reduction, and nested property. The mobile station can be designed by using a less expensive non-linear amplifier utilizing the constant modulus property. Computer simulations show that the capacity of the proposed codebook performs better than LTE release-8 codebook with the same amount of feedback information.

Due to the recent development of mobile wireless telecommunication, RRHs(Remote Radio Heads) are widely being utilized to expand the cell coverage. Wire-link, an existing connection between DU(Digital Unit) and RRH through fiber cables, is considered to have limitations in relation to cost for a wide range of applications. This paper focuses on replacing the wire-link by wireless transmission using millimeter-wave, and implementing cellular network system through RRH from a remote location. After an influence element analysis on millimeter-wave wireless link transmissions, a comparative analysis between wireless link and an existing fiber link method will be made by utilizing currently commercialized LTE(Long Term Evolution), to prove the compatibility of millimeter-wave wireless link RRH method in replacing fiber link method without a significant decline in data transmission performance.

The Long Term Evolution (LTE) system is already able to provide a background of variety services for mobile users with multimedia services such as audio, video, and data. In fact, the High Speed Packet Access plus (HSPA+) solution can greatly enhance bit rates on down-link. However, the supporting for multimedia applications with different QoS (Quality of Service) requirements is not devised yet. Hence, in this paper we propose an effective packet scheduling algorithm based on Proportional Fairness (PF) scheduling algorithms for the LTE. In this proposed packet scheduling scheme, we optimized instantaneous user data rates and the traffic class weight which prioritize user's packets. Finally, we evaluated and showed the performance of the proposed scheduling algorithm through simulations of multimedia traffics being transmitted to users over LTE links in a multi-cell environment.

Multiple antenna techniques employed in fourth generation mobile communication systems are affected on their performance mostly by transmission environments and antenna configurations. The performance of the indoor LTE(Long-term Evolution) MIMO(multiple input multiple output) has been rigorously evaluated with considering various diversity transmission schemes and propagation conditions in the paper. Specifically, MAC TP(medium access control throughput) and LTE system parameters related to the MIMO technique are analyzed for several indoor propagation conditions. The performance comparison between multiple antenna diversity mode and single antenna mode has been derived as well. The results performed in the paper give the guideline on antenna configurations of polarization diversity in LTE 2×2 MIMO for various indoor channel environments, and possibly are exploited by network operators and antenna manufacturers.

In this paper, we propose a cost-effective location and service management scheme in LTE (Long Term Evolution) networks, which a per-user service proxy is created to serve as a gateway between the mobile user and all client-server applications engaged by the mobile user. The service proxy is always co-located with the mobile user's location database such that whenever the MU's location database moves during a location hand-off, a service hand-off also ensues to co-locate the service proxy with the location database. This allows the proxy to know the location of the mobile user all the time to reduce the network communication cost for service delivery. We analyze four integrated location and service management schemes. Our results show that the centralized scheme performs the best when the mobile user's SMR (service to mobility ratio) is low and ${\upsilon}$(session to mobility ratio) is high, while the fully distributed scheme performs the best when both SMR and ${\upsilon}$ are high. In all other conditions, the dynamic anchor scheme is the best except when the service context transfer cost is high under which the static anchor scheme performs the best. Through analytical results, we demonstrate that different users with vastly different mobility and service patterns should adopt different integrated location and service management methods to optimize system performance.

Due to the evolution of wireless communications technology, Long Term Evolution (LTE), which is a $4^{th}$ generation mobile communications system, has been adopted as a railway communications system. This LTE Railway (LTE-R) system is composed of various elemental functions, which are largely categorized into public safety and wireless communications for train control. Research on the public safety functions of railway communications have their roots in TRS based national public safety communication systems, and research on wireless communications functions for train control have their roots GSM-R, which is utilized by the ETCS in Europe. Based on these circumstances, this paper first analyzes the requirements for developing public safety technology in LTE-R, and compares those requirements with the functions of public safety LTE (PS-LTE), which is being deployed for the first time in the world by the South Korean government. Based on an analysis of the common and specific functions of LTE-R and PS-LTE, we conclude that there is little problem in integrating LTE-R and PS-LTE from the perspective of functionality. Second, this paper provides a comparison of the LTE-R requirements for the Quality of Service (QoS) with those of GSM-R utilized by the ETCS. This offers a guideline to allow LTE-R to be applied to a 500km/h train control system.
Effective construction safety management systems are desperately required for reducing damage caused by increasing safety accidents in construction sites. Safety accidents in construction sites can effectively protect if proactive measures are taken to prevent unauthorized worker access the expected hazardous area. In this study, we have developed a IoT(Internet of Things)-based dangerous zone alarming system for safety management in construction sites, which can be operated at low cost in large-scale sites as well as small and medium-sized construction sites. The development system utilizes a Zigbee-based beacon technology and cellular mobile communication technology to detect when authorized workers, unauthorized field workers or outsiders approaches hazardous zones. If somebody approaches the dangerous zones the system notifies immediately to the safety manager with a danger warning signal. It is expected that this system can effectively prevent safety accidents when applied to construction sites.
In the fifth generation (5G) networks, the mobile services require much faster connections than in the fourth generation (4G) mobile networks. Recently, as one of the promising 5G technologies, non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) has been drawing attention. In NOMA, the users share the frequency and time, so that the more users can be served simultaneously. NOMA has several superiorites over orthogonal multiple access (OMA) of long term evolution (LTE), such as higher system capacity and low transmission latency. In this paper, we investigate impact of channel estimation errors on successive interference cancellation (SIC) performance of NOMA. First, the closed-form expression of the bit-error rate (BER) with channel estimation errors is derived, And then the BER with channel estimation errors is compared to that with the perfect channel estimation. In addition, the signal-to-noise (SNR) loss due to channel estimation errors is analyzed.
