유비쿼터스 환경에서의 상황인지 기반 디바이스 협업 시스템 (A Context-Based Device Collaboration System in Ubiquitous Environments)

  • 유비쿼터스 환경은 보이지 않는 수많은 장치들과 소프트웨어들이 서로 연결되어 각각의 사용자들에게 편리한 서비스를 제공한다. 이러한 서비스를 제공 받기 위해서는 사용자와 서비스간의 매개체 역할을 하는 모바일 단말기가 필요하다. 하지만 리소스가 제한적인 모바일 단말기의 특성상 다양한 기능을 이용할 수는 없다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 상황인지 기반의 실시간 디바이스 협업 시스템을 개발하여 주변의 다양한 디바이스 리소스를 실시간으로 공유함으로써 모바일 단말기의 제한적인 리소스 문제를 해결하는 상환인지 기반의 디바이스 협업 시스템을 제안한다. 제안된 시스템의 특징은 변화하는 사용자의 선호도 및 리소스 정보를 동적으로 재구성하여 상황에 맞는 맞춤형 디바이스 리소스의 공유가 가능하다는 점이다.

  • Although deep learning-based visual image recognition technology has evolved rapidly, most of the commonly used methods focus solely on recognition accuracy. However, the demand for low latency and low power consuming image recognition with an acceptable accuracy is rising for practical applications in edge devices. For example, most Internet of Things (IoT) devices have a low computing power requiring more pragmatic use of these technologies; in addition, drones or smartphones have limited battery capacity again requiring practical applications that take this into consideration. Furthermore, some people do not prefer that central servers process their private images, as is required by high performance serverbased recognition technologies. To address these demands, the object and scene recognition technologies for mobile/embedded devices that enable optimized neural networks to operate in mobile and embedded environments are gaining attention. In this report, we briefly summarize the recent trends and issues of object and scene recognition technologies for mobile and embedded devices.

Development of an Application for Mobile Devices to Analyze Data Set by a Self-Organizing Map : A Case Study on Saga Prefectural Sightseeing Information

  • In the preceding studies, an analysis of Saga Prefectural sightseeing information by a Self-Organizing Map (SOM) has been tried. And recent development on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) will help us to access any results via the mobile devices easily. This is why the mobile devices, e.g., smartphones and tablet computers, have an operating system installed, and we can improve their functions by downloading any applications on the Web. Then, in order to realize this basic idea, development of an application for the mobile devices is investigated through some computer simulations on the standard desktop PC in this paper. As a result, it is found that i) a developed feature map is useful to identify some candidate topics, ii) a touchscreen is suitable to show the feature map, and iii) arrangement of the feature map can be modified based on our interests. Then, it is concluded that the proposed idea seems to be applicable, even though further consideration is required to brush it up.

Use of Mobile Devices in the Performance of Group Decision-Making under Contextual Pressure

  • Mobile technology appears promising as a method to promote group performance in circumstances dependent on time, but not member proximity. However, the success of mobile technology in group decision-making situations has not yet been proven. This paper aims to see how mobile technology affects the performance of group decision-making tasks that should be resolved urgently and/or sources of idea are disconnected with on-line network. Laboratory experiment was used to investigate the effects of mobile factors on group decision-making. The results from the experiment supported the proposition that pressures of time and location play a significant role in the assessment of group decision performance measures. We found that the adoption of mobile technology to group decision-making procedures might be competitive when group decision-making tasks are urgent and sources of idea are disconnected with on-line network, even though mobile technology is not a panacea on which to depend when designing group decision-making.

  • A novel plug and play system for a mobile device has been proposed and demonstrated to provide an easy inter-operation between the mobile device and external modules. It supports an automatic installation and execution of the device drivers stored in the external modules into the mobile devices when the external module is connected to the mobile device. It also enables an automatic removal of the derivers when the external module is disconnected from the mobile device, which makes the user use the resource of the mobile devices more efficiently.

Development of a Hybrid Recognition System Using Biometrics to Manage Smart Devices based on Internet of Things

  • In this paper, we propose a hybrid-recognition system to obtain the state information and control the Internet of Things (IoT) based smart devices using two recognitions. First, we use a facial recognition for checking the owner of the mobile devices, i.e., smartphones, tablet PCs, and so on, and obtaining the state information of the IoT based smart devices, i.e., smart cars, smart appliance, and so on, and then we use a fingerprint recognition to control them. Further, in the conventional system, the message of the state and control information between the mobile devices and smart devices is only exchanged through the cellar mobile network. Thus, we also propose a direct communication to reduce the total transmission time. In addition, we develop a testbed of the proposed system using smartphones, desktop computers, and Arduino vehicle as one of the smart devices. We evaluate the total transmission time between the conventional and direct communications and show that the direct communication with the proposed system has better performance.

  • 모바일 네트워크 환경은 언제 어디서나 네트워크를 사용하는 모바일 서비스를 편리하게 사용할 수 있도록 해준다. 그러나 모바일 단말기의 제약과 기존 무선 네트워크 환경의 보안 문제로 인하여 많은 보안 취약점을 가지고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 국내 모바일 표준 플랫폼인 WIPI에 세션키와 공개키를 조합함으로서 최소한의 암/복호화 연산을 수행하는 방식으로 PKI 서비스 구조를 제안하였다. 제안된 국내 표준 암호 알고리즘 기반의 안전한 인증 시스템은 모바일 네트워크 보안에 더욱 견고함을 더하여 줄 것이고, 향후 KISTI의 모바일 학술정보 콘텐츠 제공에 있어 안전한 서비스를 제공할 것이다.

  • Mobile Health (M-Health) system is a recent term for medical and public health practice supported by mobile devices, such as mobile phones, PDAs, and other wireless devices. Mobile Health system has been successfully establishing at few general hospital in Korea. However, to use diverse devices manufactured by various company cause inoperability, and lack of security disappoints customers often. Although the outstanding health environment, most of hospitals are unavailable to share electronic patient records due to lack of standard protocol to handle the interoperability each other. Health Level 7 (HL7) is the best solution for the problem. In this paper, we will analyse a current M-Health service in terms of security and mobile device, and suggest iPhone for the best device against hospital environment. Also, for keep confidentiality of health information and patient privacy, enhanced security mechanism is introduced. As a consequence, interoperable standard, and most appropriate device for supporting staffs and M-Health performance, and enhanced securirty mechanism will be integrated in order to propose improved M-health model.

TGC 분석을 통한 모바일 기반 상지 재활 프로그램의 유용성 평가 (Usability Evaluation of Mobile based Upper Extremity Rehabilitation Program Through TGC Analysis)

  • In this study, Theta Gamma Coupling (TGC) analysis was carried out after performing simple and repeated upper limb exercise and comparative experiment to observe changes in the motor cortex of the brain through TGC and to see if mobile rehabilitation therapy is actually effective. As a result, exercise using mobile devices showed higher TGC values in motor cortex as compared with simple repeat upper limb exercise. In addition, paired t-test using SPSS showed statistically significant difference between exercise using mobile devices and simple repeat exercise at P3(t=3.390, df(degree of freedom)=12, p value=0.005). Exercise using mobile devices is effective for rehabilitation because it increases the Theta-Gamma Coupling and activates the motor cortex. Also, since the mobile game contents required the subject to detailed athletic ability adjustment with immersion in the task, it may be thought that brain activation is stronger than simple rehabilitation.

홈 네트워크 환경에서 다중 도메인을 지원하는 공유키 및 공개키 기반의 이동 에이전트 인증 기법 (Shared Key and Public Key based Mobile Agent Authentication Scheme supporting Multiple Domain in Home Network Environments)

  • 홈 네트워크 환경은 컴퓨터 시스템, 디지털 가전, 이동 단말과 같은 디지털 홈 디바이스들을 연결한 네트워크 환경으로 정의된다. 이러한 홈 네트워크 환경에는 홈 네트워크 디바이스들을 모니터링하고 제어하기 위한 수많은 지역 및 원격 상호작용이 발생할 것이며 홈 게이트웨이는 이러한 환경에서 통신 병목 지점이 될 것이다. 컴퓨팅 디바이스들간을 스스로 이동하면서 사용자를 대신하여 작업을 수행할 수 있는 이동 에이전트를 홈 네트워크 환경에 적용함으로 써 홈 네트워크 환경에서 발생하는 원격 상호 작용 및 네트워크 트래픽을 줄일 수 있다. 이동 에이전트 인증은 이동 에이전트 개념을 홈 네트워크 환경에 적용하기 위해 먼저 해결되어야 할 문제로서, 홈 네트워크 디바이스 및 자원에 대한 권한 부여 및 접근 제어의 전제가 되는 기술이다. 기존의 이동 에이전트 시스템들은 낮은 컴퓨팅 능력을 갖고 있는 디지털 디바이스로 구성된 홈 네트워크 환경에 적절하지 않은 공개키 기반 인증 기법을 주로 적용한다. 본 논문에서는 단일 홈 도메인을 위한 공유키 기반 이동 에이전트 인증 기법을 제안하고 이를 공개키 기반 인증 기법을 이용하여 다중 도메인 환경으로 확장시킨다. 본 제안 기법은 공유키 암호화 기법을 이동 에이전트의 도메인 내부 인증에 적용함으로써 공개키 암호화 기법을 이용하는 인증에 비하여 가벼운 연산만으로 인증을 수행한다.
