  • As one of the four basic technologies of IOT (Internet of Things), M2M technology whose advance could influence on the technology of Internet of Things has a rapid development. Mobile Payment is one of the most widespread applications in M2M. Due to applying wireless network in Mobile Payment, the security issues based on wireless network have to be solved. The technologies applied in solutions generally include two sorts, encryption mechanism and authentication mechanism, the focus in this paper is the authentication mechanism of Mobile Payment. In this paper, we consider that there are four vital things in the authentication mechanism of Mobile Payment: two-way authentication, re-authentication, roaming authentication and inside authentication. Two-way authentication is to make the mobile device and the center system trust each other, and two-way authentication is the foundation of the other three. Re-authentication is to re-establish the active communication after the mobile subscriber changes his point of attachment to the network. Inside authentication is to prevent the attacker from obtaining the privacy via attacking the mobile device if the attacker captures the mobile device. Roaming authentication is to prove the mobile subscriber's legitimate identity to the foreign agency when he roams into a foreign place, and roaming authentication can be regarded as the integration of the above three. After making a simulation of our proposed authentication mechanism and analyzing the existed schemes, we summarize that the authentication mechanism based on the mentioned above in this paper and the encryption mechanism establish the integrate security framework of Mobile Payment together. This makes the parties of Mobile Payment apply the services which Mobile Payment provides credibly.

  • A Mobile Ad Hoc Network is a system of wireless mobiles nodes that dynamically self-organized in arbitrary and temporary network topologies allowing people and devices to inter-network without any preexisting communication infrastructure. Taking into account its nature and challenges and security issues, we present current security solution and analyse the scheme for protecting attacks.

  • In this paper, we analyze the performance of the virtual cell system[1] for the transmission of IP datagrams in mobile computer communications. A virtual cell consistsof a group of physical cells shose base stationsl are implemented b recote bridges and interconnected via high speed datagram packet switched networks. Host mobility is supported at the data link layer using the distributed hierachical location information of mobile hosts. Given mobility and communication ptems among physical cells, the problem of deploying virtual cells is equivalent to the optimization cost for the entire system where interclster communication is more expesive than intracluster communication[2]. Once an iptimal partitionof disjoint clusters is obtained, we deploy the virtual cell system according to the topology of the optimal partition such that each virtual cell correspods to a cluser. To analyze the performance of the virtual cell system, we adopt a BCMP open multipel class queueing network model. In addition to mobility and communication patterns, among physical cells, the topology of the virtual cell system is used to determine service transition probabilities of the queueing network model. With various system parameters, we conduct interesting sensitivity analyses to determine network design tradeoffs. The first application of the proposed model is to determine an adequate network bandwidth for base station networking such that the networks would not become an bottleneck. We also evaluate the network vlilization and system response time due to various types of messages. For instance, when the mobile hosts begin moving fast, the migration rate will be increased. This results of the performance analysis provide a good evidence in demonsratc the sysem effciency under different assumptions of mobility and communication patterns.

  • In heterogeneous wireless networks supporting multi-access services, selecting the best network from among the possible heterogeneous connections and providing seamless service during handover for a higher Quality of Services (QoSs) is a big challenge. Thus, we need an intelligent vertical handover (VHO) decision using suitable network parameters. In the conventional VHOs, various network parameters (i.e., signal strength, bandwidth, dropping probability, monetary cost of service, and power consumption) have been used to measure network status and select the preferred network. Because of various parameter features defined in each wireless/mobile network, the parameter conversion between different networks is required for a handover decision. Therefore, the handover process is highly complex and the selection of parameters is always an issue. In this paper, we present how to maximize network utilization as more than one target network exists during VHO. Also, we show how network parameters can be imbedded into IEEE 802.21-based signaling procedures to provide seamless connectivity during a handover. The network simulation showed that QoS-effective target network selection could be achieved by choosing the suitable parameters from Layers 1 and 2 in each candidate network.

  • In this paper, we examine the method of articulation test which is effective in evaluating the speech quality in mobile communication. The korean monosyllable lists for articulation test are developed based upon the frequency of occurrence of korean monosyllables used under natural environment. The monosyllable articulation lists are recorded through the public switch telecommunication network(PSTN) and mobile telecommunication system. The recorded lists are presented to the listeners through the headphone in order to deep the listening conditions equal. It is showen that the articulation lists perform well under different signal-to-noise ratios and the restriction of some frequency ranges. Some articulation scores obtained within the PSTN and between the mobile communication system and PSTN are presented.

  • The data delivery confirmation method of MIL-STD-188-220C, which is a tactical wireless mobile Ad-Hoc communication protocol, is that a source node requires the end-to-end ack from all destination nodes and the data-link ack from 1-hop neighboring destination nodes and relaying nodes, regardless of the hop distance from a source node to destination nodes. This method has the problem to degrade the whole communication network performance because of excessive data traffic due to the duplicate use of end-to-end ack and data-link ack, and the collision among end-to-end acks on the wireless network in the case of confirming a data delivery within an 1-hop distance. In order to solve this problem, this paper has proposed the method to perform the data delivery confirmation with the improvement of communication network performance through the data traffic reduction by achieving the reliable data delivery confirmation requiring the only data-link ack within an 1-hop distance. The effects of the proposed method are analyzed in the two aspects of the data delivery confirmation delay time and the data delivery confirmation success ratio.

  • Recently, due to the development of the mobile communication system and communication technology, a communication paradigm changes from human-to-human(H2H) communication to machine-to-human(M2H) and machine-to-machine(M2M) communication. The machine means a device with networking capabilities Also, if M2M services will be activated, we can expect that many M2M devices connect to mobile communication networks, which leads to the lack of M2M identifier to identify a M2M device in mobile communication system. Therefore, this paper proposes the group identifier based M2M identification scheme to identify many M2M devices in mobile communication based M2M service network. In the future, the proposed M2M identification scheme can be utilized as a way to solve the shortage problem of M2M identifier.

  • The intrusion detection system is one of the active fields of research in wireless networks. Intrusion detection in wireless mobile Ad hoc network is challenging because the network topologies are dynamic, lack centralization and are vulnerable to attacks. Detection of malicious nodes in an open ad-hoc network in which participating nodes do not have previous security association has to face number of challenges which is described in this paper. This paper is about determining the malicious nodes under critical conditions in the mobile ad-hoc network and deals with security and vulnerabilities issues which results in the better performance and detection of the intrusion.

  • With the appearance of wireless spectrum crisis in traditional cellular network, device-to-device (D2D) communication has been regarded as a promising solution to ease heavy traffic burden by enabling precise content delivery among mobile users. However, due to the channel sharing, the interference between D2D and cellular users can affect the transmission rate and narrow the throughput in the network. In this paper, we firstly present a weighted interference minimization cluster formation model involving both social attribute and physical closeness. The weighted-interference, which is evaluated under the susceptible-infected(SI) model, is utilized to gather user in social and physical proximity. Then, we address the cluster formation problem via spectrum clustering with iterative operation. Finally, we propose the stable matching theory algorithm in order to maximize rate oriented to accomplish the one-to-one resource allocation. Numerical results show that our proposed scheme acquires quite well clustering effect and increases the accumulative transmission rate compared with the other two advanced schemes.
