Hybrid 가드채널이 있는 이동통신시스템이 성능 평가 (Performance Analysis of a Cellular Mobile Communication System with Hybrid Guard Channels)

  • We analyze a voice/data integrated traffic model of the cellular mobile communication system with hybrid guard channels for voice and handoff calls. In a multi-service integrated wireless environment, quality of service guarantee is crucial for smooth transportation of real time information. Real time voice traffic requires a guaranteed upper bounded on both delay and packet error rate, whereas data traffic does not. Voice traffic has high transmission priority over data packets. Thus one of the important problems is the design of admission control schemes which can efficiently accommodate the differential quality of service requirements. In this paper, a hybrid guard channel scheme is considered in which arriving calls are assigned channels as long as the number of busy channels in the cell is below a predetermined first threshold. When the number of busy channels reaches the first threshold, new originating data calls are queued in the infinite data buffer. Then reaches second threshold, only handoff calls are assigned the remaining channels and new originating voice calls are blocked. We evaluate the system by a two-dimensional Markov chain approach and generating function method and obtain performance measures included blocking probability and forced termination probability.

이동통신망에서 이동기준 위치등록의 개선 및 성능분석 (A Modification and Performance Analysis of Movement-Based Registration in Mobile Communication Network)

  • An efficient location management for mobile stations plays an important role in mobile communication network. This paper studies a movement-based registration(MBR) method with a selective paging scheme. In the movement-based registration method, a mobile station performs a location registration when the number of cell boundary crossings since the last registration equals to the given movement threshold. In the selective paging scheme, the network first partitions the location area of the called mobile station into a number of subareas and then pages each subarea one after another until the MS is found. To reduce the paging and registration load, we propose a modified MBR(MMBR) method in the aspect of minimization of signaling traffic on radio channels. First, we propose a new establishment of the paging area to reduce the paging load on radio channels and then analyze its effects. Next, we propose the MMBR to reduce the registration load. Numerical results show that our proposed movement-based registration provides the better performance compared with the conventional method.

  • 브로드 캐스트(Broadcast)는 하나 또는 여러 개의 채널을 이용해서 다수의 이동 단말기들이 빈번하게 필요로 하는 데이타를 효과적으로 전송하기 위한 방법 중에 하나이다. 이동 단말기의 배터리 소모량을 최소화하기 위해서, 브로드캐스트 되는 데이타를 위한 접근시간을 최소화하는 것이 가장 중요한 문제로 대두되었다. 이런 관점에서 브로드캐스트 되는 데이타에 인덱스를 제공함으로써 데이타 접근시간을 최소화하는데 초점을 맞춘 연구들이 수행되어 왔다. 이 논문에서는 멀티채널(Multi Channels) 환경에서의 효과적인 브로드캐스트(Broadcast)를 위한 인덱스 할당 방법에 대해 연구하였다. 지금까지 제안된 방법들은 브로드캐스트 되는 데이타와 인덱스의 크기가 같아야 한다는 가정을 필요로 하거나 사용되는 인덱스 트리의 깊이와 같은 수의 채널이 주어지지 않을 경우 본래의 성능을 보이지 못하는 단점을 가지고 있다. 앞에서 언급한 두 가지 문제점은 브로드캐스트 데이타에 대해서 평균 접근시간의 증가를 초래하게 된다. 이러한 문제점을 극복하기 위하여 본 논문에서는, 채널을 데이타와 인덱스 채널로 분리한 후, 빈도수가 높은 데이타와 해당 데이타에 대한 트리 구조 인덱스를 보다 많이 브로드캐스트 함으로써 브로드캐스트 데이타에 대한 평균 접근 시간을 최소화하는 방법을 제안한다. 본 논문에서는 제안하는 방법의 실험적 및 이론적인 성능 분석을 이와 비슷한 다른 방법들과 비교함으로써 수행한다. 제시한 방안의 성능 분석은 현존하는 다른 방법과 비교해서 브로드캐스트 데이타에 대해서 현저한 평균 접근 시간 감소를 보여준다.

  • 최근 이동통신 네트워크에서 채널의 수요는 폭발적으로 증가하고 있다. 그렇지만 수요에 맞는 충분한 채널을 제공하기는 힘든 것이 현실이다. 이러한 수요를 충족시키기 위하여는 채널들을 간섭 현상이 없도록 재사용 함으로써 효율적으로 이용할 수 있도록 각 셀의 수요에 맞게 최적으로 할당하는 것이 요구된다. 본 논문의 목적은 이동통신 서비스 지역에 따라 채널 수요에 대한 변화가 불확실하고, 시간에 따라 변화가 심한 이동통신 네트워크에서 각 셀이 채널을 필요로 할 때 필요한 채널 수만큼을 동적으로 빠른 시간에 최적 할당하는 것이다. 이 목적을 달성하기 위하여 휴리스틱 알고리즘(Heuristic Algerian)을 사용하여 채널간의 간섭 정도를 최소화하는 동적 채널 할당방법을 개발하였다.

  • Mobile robots include control modules for autonomous obstacle avoidance and navigation. They are range modules to detect and avoid obstacles. motor control modules to operate two wheels. and encoder modules for localization. There is needed an appropriate controller for each modules. In this paper. a control system. including 18 channels for Sonar sensors. 4 channels for PWM modules. and 4 channels for encoder modules. is proposed using TMS320C32 DSP adopted with CAN. The board communicates with other modules by CAN. so that mobile robots can perform several tasks in real time. So we can realize on autonomous mobile robot with basic functions such as obstacle avoidance by using the developed controller. Especially. this controller has 100 msec scan time for 16 sonar sensors and can detect closer objects comparing with standard sonar sensors.

Adaptive Formulation of the Transition Matrix of Markovian Mobile Communication Channels

  • This study models mobile communication channels as a discrete finite Markovian process, and Markovian jump linear system having parallel Kalman filter type is applied. What is newly proposed in this paper is an equation for obtaining the transition matrix according to sampling time by using a weighted Gaussian sum approximation and its simple calculation process. Experiments show that the proposed method has superior performance and reuires computation compared to the existing MJLS using the ransition matrix given by a statistical method or from priori information.

  • Today, digital shoppers express increasingly complex buying behavior. They can use multiple channels for shopping and also they can switch from one to another channel almost effortlessly, in the result of engaging in omnichannel shopping behavior. A few years ago, consumers were using brick and mortar stores to make their purchases. However, nowadays, they possess different digital devices (mobile and/or desktop) to search for different alternatives and to make a better shopping choice. These devices (mobile and desktop) are different and offer unique benefits to consumers. However, there has been very little research that has treated mobile and desktop devices separately. Perhaps this study is the pioneer when it comes to investigating the effect of regulatory focus (prevention vs. promotion) and chronotype (morning and evening person) on a sample of university students using desktop and mobile channels for their shopping. The findings from a sample of 312 digital consumers (mobile and/or desktop) confirmed that the desktop channel provides a greater fit for morning-type respondents and that the mobile channel offers better value for evening-type respondents in e-retail. Furthermore, promotion-focused shoppers favor the mobile channel, and prevention-focused shoppers favor the desktop channel. The new insights and contributions of this study provide a better understanding of digital consumers to help sellers to develop a more effective e-retail strategy.

모바일 고객센터 품질요인이 고객 만족과 신뢰 그리고 고객충성도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Mobile Customer Center's Quality Factors on Customer Satisfaction, Trust and Loyalty)

  • The mobile customer center is one of major customer service channels to gain company's competitive advantage, to establish new correlations between customers and service value, and to respond quickly to customer needs. This study attempted to investigate the effect of mobile customer center's quality on customer satisfaction, trust, and loyalty. For this purpose, we divided quality factors of mobile customer center into mobile service quality and content quality, and then empirically analyzed their impact on customer satisfaction, customer trust, and loyalty. The research result showed mobile service quality and content quality having significant association with customer satisfaction and trust. Moreover, customer satisfaction and trust were closely related to customer loyalty. However, there was no significant difference in the factors affecting customer satisfaction and trust according to the levels of personal innovativeness. It is hoped that this study provides academic foundations for further research on mobile customer center and serves as a useful guideline for operating customer service channels successfully.

Shopping Satisfaction in Mobile Distribution Channels: Focusing on Prudent Shopping Behavior

  • Purpose: The aim of this study is to explore the psychological characteristics of users in mobile distribution channels (MDC) during mobile shopping. Research design, data and methodology: A conceptual framework based on shopping satisfaction theory was developed, leading to the proposal of a research model to examine the relationships between emotional control (EC), emotional practice (EP), prudential buying tendency (PBT), prudential buying urge (PBU), prudential buying behavior (PBB), and mobile shopping satisfaction (MSS) in MDC. To validate the research model, 125 survey responses were collected from mobile shoppers, and the relationships among EC, EP, PBT, PBU, PBB, and MSS were analyzed using the PLS structural equation model. Results: The empirical analysis revealed that EC did not have a significant impact on PBT, while EP had a significant effect on PBT. Moreover, PBT was found to influence both PBU and PBB, with PBU significantly affecting PBB. Finally, the study found that PBB significantly influences MSS. Conclusions: This study elucidates the relationships among EC, EP, PBT, PBU, PBB, and MSS, providing valuable insights for enhancing consumer shopping satisfaction in MDC. Practically, the study suggests various strategies for personalized and differentiated mobile customer management. Theoretically, it contributes to the field by stimulating further research on prudent purchasing behavior in mobile commerce.

IMT-Advanced 시스템의 시변 채널에서의 MMSE 기반 등화 성능 분석 (Performance Analysis of MMSE-Based Equalization of IMT-Advanced System in Time-Varing Channels)

  • 초고속 무선 인터넷 서비스에 대한 사용자의 요구가 증대되면서 차세대 이동통신의 표준화 및 연구 개발이 계속되고 있다. 4세대 이동통신인 IMT-Advanced 시스템은 정지 상태에서 1 Gbps, 이동 상태에서 100 Mbps의 전송 속도를 제공해야 하며 최대 350 km/h의 이동 중에도 안정적인 수신 성능을 보장해야만 한다. 한편, 이동 속도가 증가함에 따라 도플러 편이 역시 증가하게 되고 이로 인해 부반송파간 간섭이 증대되어 궁극적으로 수신 성능의 저하를 야기하게 된다. 이에, 이 논문에서는 IMT-Advanced 시스템의 무선접속규격을 준용하는 채널 환경에서 수신기의 등화 기법에 따른 수신 성능을 평가하고 분석한다. 이동속도와 부호율을 변경하면서 수행한 컴퓨터 모의실험에 따르면 MMSE 기반의 등화 기법을 적용하여 수신할 경우 단일 탭 등화 기법을 적용할 경우보다 시변 채널에 의한 성능 저하를 대폭 완화시킬 수 있음을 고찰할 수 있다.
