The aim of this study is to develop economical High-Strength and High-Quality Concrete, and to assure quality control of Concrete in the field. For this purpose, Five types of Mixing Methods are examined and the relationship between slump loss and slump recovery by transport is studied. As a result, workability and strength are dependent on the Mixing Method, although the Mixing proportions are same, Also, adding admixture in the field is proposed as an alternative to consider the relationship between slump loss and slump recovery.
This study is focusing on mixing the foamed concrete incorporated by waste expanded polystyrene(W-EPS), investigating the physical properties and offering a proper quality control method to the field engineers. Two types of W-EPS (type A and type B) were studied. Type A (B) had globular (crushed) shape and diameter of 3-5 (1-2) mm. The results show that the flow was suddenly reduced with increasing mixing quantity of two types, but it satisfies KS F 4039 until 60 % of mixing rate. In general, the absorption rate was suddenly reduced with increased mixing quantity of two types especially, in type A. Apparent specific gravity was 0.36∼0.53 and reduced with increasing mixing quantify of type A. But it increased in case of type B. Compressive strength and heat conduction rate increased with mixing with W-EPS than non-mixing W-EPS but reduced with mixing too much W-EPS. Based ong the results, it is believed that mixing with W-EPS can improve the recycle of industrial wastes and produce the high quality foamed concrete.
This study was executed to examine the effects of polypropylene fiber length and process variables of the composites made from wood fiber and nonwood fiber mixed formulations. As a nonwood fiber the polypropylene with 3 denier thickness of tow condition was selected and cut into each length of 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0 and 2.5cm to mix with wood fiber. And also western hemlock wood fiber for medium density fiberboard was prepared. First, to decide an adequate polypropylene mixing fiber length, the composites of 1.0g/$cm^3$ density were made from 10% polypropylene fiber by each of five lengths and 90% western hemlock fiber mixed formulations. Thereafter as the experiments of process variable, the composites applied with adequate polypropylene fiber length(1.5cm) were made from 4 density levels (0.6, 0.8, 1.0, 1.2g/$cm^3$). 3 mixed formulations of wood fiber to polypropylene fiber(95 : 5, 90 : 10, 85 : 15), and 3 mat moisture contents(5, 10, 20%). According to the results and discussions it was concluded as follows ; The physical and mechanical properties were shown improved tendency. as polypropylene fiber length was increased in the range from 0.5 to 1.5cm, but shown decreasing tendency from 2.0 to 2.5 cm. Accordingly, it was shown that polypropylene fiber length is limited to 1.5cm or less length in mixing wood fiber and polypropylene fiber by turbulent air mixing process. As the densities of wood fiber-polypropylene fiber composites were increased, the physical and mechanical properties were clearly improved. Also they were shown significantly increasement statistically between densities respectively. In the mixed formulations, physical and mechanical properties were shown only slightly improvement, as they changed from 95 : 5 to 85 : 15 in wood fiber to polypropylene fiber. Despite of increasement of mat moisture content, mechanical properties were not improved significantly but physical properties were improved somewhat in wood fiber-polypropylene fiber composites.

ZnO thin films were synthesized on Si substrates by MOCVD using diethyl zinc as a precursor. Effects of $O_2$/DEZ gas mixing ratio on the growth rate, surface morphology, preferred orientation, and electrical properties of the ZnO thin films were investigated with SEM, XRD, and Hall measurement. The surface reflectance variations of ZnO thin films were analyzed using laser-photometer apparatus. As the $O_2$/DEZ mixing ratio increased, growth rate and $I_{(002)}/I_{(101)}$ in XRD of ZnO thin films decreased, and the crystal structure was changed from columnar to planar structure. All ZnO films deposited at various CVD conditions exhibited c-axis (002) plane preferred orientation. The electrical properties of ZnO thin films mainly depended on the carrier mobility.

Epoxy resin is a polar thermosetting polymer that is widely employed in different branches of industry and everyday life, due to their stable physical and chemical properties. Of all the polymer materials currently being used in the electrical insulation industry, epoxy resin is the most widely used kind, chosen as the base polymer material in the present study. Composites were prepared according to the mixing ratio (MS: MA, 1: 9, 3: 7, 5: 5, 7: 3, 9: 1)of mixture for Heterogeneous Minerals(Micro Silica:MS, Micro Alumina:MA) (MS+MA). We have investigated for AC electrical insulation breakdown characteristics and the dielectric properties (permittivity, dielectric loss, and conductivity) with frequency changes. The electrical AC insulation breakdown performance was improved with the increase of the mixing ratio of MS according to heterogeneous mineral material mixture(MS+MA). As Dielectric properties, the dielectric constant and dielectric loss increased with decreasing frequency and decreased with increasing MS content ratio of heterogeneous mineral mixture. Tensile strength and flexural strength according to the mixing ratio (MS + MA) of epoxy / heterogeneous mineral mixture were studied by mechanical properties. The performance of mechanical tensile and flexural strength was significantly improved as the fill contents ratio of MS increased.
This study aimed to develop reference materials (RMs) that are chemically stable and can simulate the flow characteristics of cement paste. To this end, the candidate components of RMs were selected considering the currently required properties of RMs. Limestone, slag, silica, and kaolin were selected as substitutes for cement, while glycerol and corn syrup were selected as matrix fluids. Moreover, distilled water was used for mixing. To select the combinations of materials that meet all the required properties of RMs, flow characteristics were first analyzed. The results revealed that silica and kaolin exhibited bilateral nonlinearity. When an analysis was conducted over time, slag exhibited chemical reactions, including strength development. Moreover, fungi were observed in all mixtures with corn syrup. On the other hand, the combination of limestone, glycerol, and water exhibited a performance that met all the required properties of RMs. Thus, limestone, glycerol, and water were selected as the components of the RMs. When the influence of each component of the RMs on flow characteristics was analyzed, it was found that limestone affects the yield value, while the ratio of water and glycerol affects the plastic viscosity. Based on this, it was possible to select the mixing ratios for the RMs that can simulate the flow characteristics of cement paste under each mixing ratio. This relationship was established as an equation, which was verified under various mixing ratios. Finally, when the flow characteristics were analyzed under various temperature conditions, cement paste and the RMs exhibited similar tendencies in terms of flow characteristics. This indicated that the combinations of the selected materials could be used as RMs that can simulate the flow characteristics of cement paste with constant quality under various mixing ratio conditions and construction environment conditions.
In this study, the strength properties of NHL based mortar with blending basalt fiber were investigated. In the first step, it was evaluated that physical properties of NHL based mortar according to mixing method of four types of basalt fiber and then mixing method of one type was selected. As a result of assessment, it showed that the physical properties with mixing method of dry blending were better than that of wet blending and mixing method that basalt fiber pre-mixed with NHL for 5 min in a blender was selected and water and aggregate were finally added. Secondly, the investigation of blending fiber length on the compressive and flexural strength for basalt fiber reinforced NHL based mortars was carried out. The compressive strength was decreased with adding fiber, and the flexural strength was increased more than plain mortar. In the case of adding 6 mm fiber, the compressive and flexural strength were improved more than that of others.

The bleeding of concrete is defined as a kind of separation of materials. The durability of concrete, as well as the quality caused by the bleeding. Therefore, This study is intended to find influence of cement and mixing time factor on the bleeding of concrete. We want to know two factors that determine the change, to provide it to our customers. According to the results, The bleeding ratio increase by the increase of mixing time factor. At the 90 second of mixing time, the amount of bleeding differ greatly from cement properties. This paper presents an experimental study on bleeding ratio, slump and compressive strength properties with three days. In addition, the mixing time is inversely related slump loss ratio, the initial value of the compressive strength is only affected by the mixing time. As a result, the bleeding of concrete was obtained that their characteristics depends on the cement and mixing time factor, also in the future, to derive optimum mixing time for a variety of review is necessary.
SBR latex, polyurethane latex and epoxy latex were mixed with polyvinyl acetate emulsion in 0~15% (wt.%). For the mixtures, the viscous properties were examined. The viscosity was influenced by the dispersed phase and the chain structures of polymer, and decreased with the rising of temperatures. The viscosity was increased with mixing of epoxy latex, but decreased with addition of SBR latex or polyurethane latex. Thixotropic index was influenced on the size of micelle and hydrogen bond. The thixotropic index was increased with mixing of epoxy latex or polyurethane latex within 5%, but keep up equality over that. The thixotropic index was decreased with mixing of SBR latex within 5%, but keep up equality over that. The relative viscosity were influenced on the activity of molecule and the interference of dispersed phases, was increased with the rising of temperatures. The relative viscosity was decreased with mixing of epoxy latex, but increased with mixing of SBR latex or polyurethane latex.
