Estimation of Small Area Proportions Based on Logistic Mixed Model

  • We consider a logistic model with random effects as the superpopulation for estimating the small area pro-portions. The best linear unbiased predictor under linear mired model is popular in small area estimation. We use this type of estimator under logistic mixed motel for the small area proportions, on which the estimation of mean squared error is also discussed. Two kinds of estimation methods, the parametric bootstrap and the linear approximation will be compared through a Monte Carlo study in the respects of the normality assumption on the random effects distribution and also the magnitude of sample sizes on the approximation.

도심복합시설의 공간용도구성 특성에 관한 연구 (Study on the Space Composition Characteristics in the Urban Complex Building)

  • The city means not only a geographical area as a role of the spatial boundary, but also a socio-economic place to communicate with each area. It requires various functions to get the income and economic-activities. But city has a limitation of a available land to provide the required functions and a sufficient space to supply the urban activity. Therefore, the development trend of city has not been to spread to the horizontal area any more and considered the vertical area. In addition, various functions put into a massive building because many people want to solve the daily requirements without spending time and cost in outer area. In this paper, it aimed at classifying the mixed-use building into function, circulation, relation according to the public and private space and the building shape to provide the design information such as land area, functional complex, accessibility, etc.. The classification of the mixed-use buildings is divided into four areas. The data are collected with foreign countries in Japan, Europe and US. Results of the study are as follows; First, the commercial function is mainly centered with other functions. Second, after studied the development scale, accessibility, building form, the commercial and residential area overwhelmly share at the total area.

  • This study has been given careful consideration to an induction of the mixed-use districts for the efficiency of Land Use, the rational plot planning and the mixture/complex among the functions in order to complement the zoning plan with the primary purpose to purify the usage of landscape. Furthermore, it is aimed to indicate the implementations through the medium of the in-depth analysis about the cardinal factors such as the standards on the regional location, building size and building uses in the case of designating the Mixed-use districts.Abstract This study has been examined by the aspect of scope for securing the adequacy of Site Division Restriction, Floor Area Ratio, Building Coverage Ratio and Outdoor Area Ratio in the "Mixed-Use Districts" and especially, by the medium of the in-depth analysis about the actual condition of building and outdoor space scales. It has been deduced the scale standards by using the simulation and correlation analysis among the factors of those buildings and outdoor spaces. Moreover, it has been applied the analysis method of using the building scale, especially, the latter has analyzed the total 1,656 different types classified by 3 patterns of Plottage and Building Coverage Ratio, 9 patterns of the factor change on Outdoor Area Ratio and 8 different patterns of road width.

도심 근무자의 도심주거 선호성향 (Preference for Urban Residence of People working in the CBD Area)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the preferences for urban residence. Data was collected from the people who are working in the CBD area. The results of this study are as following; 1) The 40.3% of people working in CBD area prefer living in the CBD area. It contains 5.6% of people who are working in the CBD area. It can be interpreted that there are some potential residential preference in the CBA area. 2) People who prefer living in the CBD area are shown that they have been working in the CBD area for a long time with their living status of the middle class and their ages over 50. 3) The favorable area for CBD workers is located within 10 minutes by bus or within working distance. 4) Their favorable housing types are respectively apartments, mixed, and single housing. It means that they prefer the mixed functioning type of housing to the apartment. It tells that it is necessary to develop the new types of housing.

식물공장에서 적색, 청색, 백색 및 원적색 LED 처리에 따른 고추냉이의 생육반응 (Effects of Red, Blue, White, and Far-red LED Source on Growth Responses of Wasabia japonica Seedlings in Plant Factory)

  • 본 연구는 식물공장용 LED 챔버 시스템에서 고추냉이의 생육반응에 미치는 LED 광원 및 광질의 영향을 알아보기 위해 적색, 청색, 백색 그리고 원적색광의 단일 및 혼합처리, 적색광과 청색광의 비율 그리고 duty비 등을 다양하게 처리하여 수행하였다. 고추냉이의 생육반응은 적색 + 청색 혼합광에서 가장 높았고, 단일광 조건에서는 청색광보다 적색광 하에서 식물체 생물량이 높았다. 고추냉이의 식물체 생물량과 분얼수는 적색과 청색광의 비율이 1:1인 조건에서 가장 높았다. 적색과 청색광을 혼합하여 처리 시 고추냉이의 생육반응은 duty비가 100%일 때 높은 반면, 적색과 청색광에 백색광을 첨가하여 처리 하였을 때는 duty비가 가장 낮은 97%에서 높았다. 엽면적과 잎건중량은 적색광에서 가장 높은 반면, 비엽면적은 청색광에서 가장 높았다. 적색과 청색 혼합광에서 엽면적과 잎건중량은 적색광의 비율이 높거나, duty비가 낮을수록 증가하였고, 백색광을 첨가한 조건에서는 duty비가 높을수록 증가했다. 이상의 결과를 종합해보면, 고추냉이는 단일광을 처리하는 것보다 적색과 청색광을 혼합하여 처리해 주거나, 청색광보다 적색광의 비율을 더 높여주는 것이 고추냉이의 생육 및 품질을 향상시켜 줄것으로 판단된다.

저면적 Mixed-radix MDC FFT 프로세서를 위한 효율적인 스케줄링 기법 (Efficient Scheduling Schemes for Low-Area Mixed-radix MDC FFT Processor)

  • 본 논문에서는 고속 데이터 전송을 위해 orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) 시스템에 적용 가능한 고속 fast Fourier transform (FFT) 프로세서를 제안하였다. 제안하는 FFT 프로제서는 높은 처리율을 만족하기 위해 mixed-radix 알고리즘과 8개의 병렬 경로를 가지는 multipath delay commutator (MDC) 파이프라인 구조를 채택하였다. 하드웨어 복잡도를 줄이기 위해서 새로운 스케줄링 기법들을 적용하여 twiddle factor 연산을 위한 read-only memories (ROM)의 크기를 줄이는 구조와 복소 상수 곱셈기의 수를 줄이는 구조를 제안한다. 제안하는 구조는 지연 소자와 연산 사이클의 증가 없이 하드웨어 복잡도를 줄일 수 있다. 또한, IEEE 802.11 ac/ad와 같은 고속 OFDM 시스템을 위해 64/128/256/512-포인트 FFT 연산이 가능하다. 제안하는 FFT 프로세서는 Verilog-HDL로 모델링하여 Samsung 65nm 공정 라이브러리로 합성하여 0.36mm2의 면적과 330MHz의 동작 주파수에서 2.64 GSample/s를 보이고 있다.

서울${\cdot}$경기와 강원지역의 잡곡밥의 섭취실태 및 만족도에 대한 조사 (A Survey on the Consumption and Satisfaction Degree of the Cooked Rice Mixed with Multi-Grain in Seoul${\cdot}$Kyeonggi and Kangwon Area)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the consumption and perception on the effect of cooked rice mixed with multi-grain (CR-MG). Reason for like and dislike, intake frequency and variables related with the satisfaction of CR-MG were also investigated. The data for the analysis was collected from 315 adults who were residing at Seoul${\cdot}$Kyeonggi and Kangwon area and analyzed by the SPSS 11.0 program. The result showed that 84.8% of the respondents consumed CR-MG, showing significant difference by gender and occupation (p<0.05). It also revealed that they consumed it knowing their effect, showing significant difference by all general characteristics except for resident area and BMI, respectively. Kind of multi-grain (MG) mixed with cooked rice was high in the order of SoRiTae (80.1%) > brown rice (73.4%) > black rice (72.7%) > waxy rice (61.0%), respectively. As for the mixing type of MG, 61.4% of the respondents preferred non-mixed product rather than pre-mixed product. 2 or 3 kinds were preferred numbers of MG mixed with rice, showing significant difference by age (p<0.001) and marital status(p<0.05), respectively. 59.9% of the respondents answered 'high nutritive value more than polished rice' as the major reason for like, whereas 31.3% answered 'greatly rough more than polished rice' as that for dislike, respectively. By the use of multiple regression analysis, it revealed that health was the most significant variable which affect the satisfaction of CR-MG. From these results, it was suggested that in view of the high consumption and intention to continue the intake of CR-MG, following studies should be conducted to improve the preference of CR-MG.

Geographically weighted kernel logistic regression for small area proportion estimation

  • In this paper we deal with the small area estimation for the case that the response variables take binary values. The mixed effects models have been extensively studied for the small area estimation, which treats the spatial effects as random effects. However, when the spatial information of each area is given specifically as coordinates it is popular to use the geographically weighted logistic regression to incorporate the spatial information by assuming that the regression parameters vary spatially across areas. In this paper, relaxing the linearity assumption and propose a geographically weighted kernel logistic regression for estimating small area proportions by using basic principle of kernel machine. Numerical studies have been carried out to compare the performance of proposed method with other methods in estimating small area proportion.

초고층 주상복합 아파트 단위평면의 공간구성에 관한 조사연구 (A Study on Spatial Composition of the Reusing Unit in High-rise Mixed-Use Condominium)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the characteristics of unit plans in the high-rise mixed-use condominium and to provide the data fur architectural planning and design. The tools of statistical analysis are frequency, percentage, mean, cross-tab, and correlation. The results of this study are as fellows; The most frequently found shape of unit is a deformed polygon. The common rooms in housing units are dressing room, powder room, offset-kitchen, family room, passage, hallway, and foyer. The specially prepared spaces are wash room, home bar, independent porch, and garden. As to room size and area ratio in a dwelling unit, those of living room are biggest and highest irrespective of unit size. As the floor area of unit increases, does the size of each room and space but the area ratio of each room decreases. This research is made to develop an Apartment Information System. This integrated information system is to be designed to provide residents of high-rise mixed-use condominiums with convenient, economical, and safe life.
