액막류의 MHF 점에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on Minimum Heat Flux Point of Liquid Film Flow)

  • The minimum heat flux conditions are experimentally investigated for the subcooled liquid film flow on the horizontal plate. The experimental results show that the minimum heat flux point temperature becomes higher with the increase of the velocity and the subcooling of the liquid film flow. However, the effect of distance from the leading edge of the heat transfer plate on the minimum heat flux is almost negligible. Also, the experimental results show that the propagation velocity of wetting front increase with increasing the velocity and the subcooling of the liquid film flow.

선형, 쌍곡선과 Beta 함수를 이용한 상추의 주요 온도 비교 (Comparison of Cardinal Temperatures of Lettuce Using Bilinear, Parabolic, and Beta Distribution Functions)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 선형, 쌍곡선, 베타 함수를 이용하여 상추의 주요 온도를 예측하기 위함이다. 상추 종자를 항온 생육상에서 발아시켰다. 온도처리는 $10^{\circ}C$, $14^{\circ}C$, $16^{\circ}C$, $20^{\circ}C$, $24^{\circ}C$, $28^{\circ}C$$32^{\circ}C$였다. 100개의 종자를 9cm 페트리디쉬에 필터페이퍼 2장을 깔고 4반복 실시하였다. 유근이 1mm 나왔을 때를 발아로 하였다. 시간에 따른 발아율은 로지스틱 함수로 계산하였다. 최저, 최적, 최고 온도는 50% 발아한 시점의 역수를 온도에 따른 함수로 표기하여 나타내었다. 선형 함수의 경우, 최저, 최적, 최고 온도는 각각 $7.9^{\circ}C$, $23.3^{\circ}C$, $28.0^{\circ}C$였으며, 쌍곡선 함수의 경우, 최저, 최적, 최고 온도는 각각 $9.7^{\circ}C$, $19.5^{\circ}C$, $29.4^{\circ}C$였으며, 베타 함수인 경우, 최저, 최적, 최고 온도는 각각 $3.7^{\circ}C$, $20.7^{\circ}C$, $32.0^{\circ}C$였다. 최저, 최적, 최고 온도 범위는 각각 $3.7{\sim}7.9^{\circ}C$, $19.5{\sim}23.3^{\circ}C$, $28.0{\sim}32.0^{\circ}C$이었다.

  • 농업을 비롯한 산업활동을 효율적으로 수행하기 위해서는 전문 기상정보의 활용이 필수적이다. 영농활동에 있어서 의사지원시스템의 핵심으로 떠오르고 있는 작물 생장모형은 부단히 변화하는 대기환경에 대한 공간정보를 요구하기 때문에, 모형의 실용화를 위해서는 기상 관측밀도가 낮은 광범위한 작물 생육지역을 대상으로 일별 기상요소에 대한 공간분포를 추정해야 한다. 이러한 취지에서 본 연구는 미관측 지점을 포함하는 우리 나라 전국을 대상으로 작물모형의 구동에 필요한 최소 기상요소들 중에서 일 최고 및 일 최저기온의 공간적인 분포를 추정하고 그 추정 정도를 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 이해 먼저 58개 지점의 23년간 실측 기온자료로부터 지형기후학적 방법에 의하여 격자단위의 월별 기온평년값을 추정하고, 조화해석법에 의하여 일별값으로 변환하였다. 66개 기상청 관측소에서 수집된 임의 날짜의 최고/최저기온값과 관측소 해당 격자점의 평년값간 편차를 구한 다음, 미관측 격자점을 포함하는 한반도 전역의 기온편차를 거리역산가중법에 의하여 내삽.추정하였다. 각 격자점의 최종적인 기온 추정값은 기온 평년값에 이 편차를 더함으로써 얻었다. 얻어진 온도 분포는 위성자료로부터 추정한 지표온도분포 양상과 크게 다르지 않았다. 300여개의 자동기상관측 장비들로부터 수집된 자료와 비교한 결과, 추정오차는 $1.5^{\circ}C$~2.5$^{\circ}C$였다.

Autoignition of Urethane Foam to be Used as the Insulator of the Household Refrigerator

  • This study was performed by measuring the minimum ignition temperature of polyurethane form recovered from the recycling process of the end-of-life home appliances. The critical ignition temperature of polyurethane form was lower as the size of the sample vessel was increased, and that of polyurethane form using cyclopentane as the forming agent was relatively lower than the polyurethane form using CFC and the combustion of cyclopentane-polyurethane form occurred fiercely. It is considered that the recycling process of end-of-life home appliances using cyclopentane-polyurethane form as the insulator would require a special fire and dust explosion prevention measures since there exists a high potential hazard of fire and dust explosion during crushing and storage processes.

고온평판의 분무냉각특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Spray Cooling Characteristics of hot Flat Plates)

  • In order to study heat transfer characteristics of spray cooling for the purpose of uniform and soft cooling of high temperature surface a series of experiments for a hot horizontal copper flat plate was performed by downflow spray water using flat spray nozzle. Cooling curves were mea-sured under the various experimental conditions of flow rates and temperatures of cooling water Surface temperature surface heat fluxes and heat transfer coefficients of horizontal upward-facing flat surface were calculated with cooling curves measured at each radial positions near the cooling surface by TDMA method. Generally heat transfer characteristics for spray cooling is simi-lar to boiling phenomenon of pool boiling. The minimum heat flux(MHF) appear at the surface temperature of about ${\Delta}Tsat=250^{\circ}C$ and the critical heat flux(CHF) appear at about ${\Delta}Tsat=250^{\circ}C$.

저어널베어링의 압력 및 온도분포에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Pressure and Temperature Distribution in a Plain Journal Bearing)

  • The effects of journal speed and bearing load on pressure distribution and the temperature distribution of bearing surface are investigated experimentally. The journal bearing which has 219.94mm diameter, length-to-diameter ratio of L/D=0.8 and clearance ratio of 0.004 is used. Journal has a built-in pressure transducer for the measurement of pressure distribution in the mid plane of bearing. Bearing surface temperatures are measured at 60 points. The bearing load is varied from 300 N to 5900 N and journal speed from 300 rpm to 2500 rpm. As the load is increased under constant speed, the location of maximum pressure moves to the site of minimum film thickness, and maximum pressure and absolute value of minimum pressure are increased. The temperature distribution in vicinity of oil inlet shows that heated lubricant's carry-over exists around the oil inlet.

비목나무의 서울 지방 생육 가능성에 관한 연구 (A study on the growth potential of lindera erythrocarpa makino in Seoul regions)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the environmental factors of habitat of Lindera erythrocarpa and to test seedling growth of the plant transplanted in a field of Sung Kyun Kwan Univ. in Suwon, Kyungkido. The results were as follows ; 1. The wild lindera erythrocarpa was growing in Mt. Kwan whose January average temperature was -3.4$^{\circ}C$, and minimum average temperature was -14.8$^{\circ}C$ in January. It was also growing in Mt. Suri whose daily minimum temperature is 3.4$^{\circ}C$ lower than that of Seoul. Therefore, there was no problem for Lindera erythrocarpa to grow in Seoul regions in terms of winter coldness. 2. The growth of seedlings of Lindera erythrocarpa transplanted in a field of Sung Kyun Kwan Univ. in Suwon, Kyunkido in 1990 showed that average height of the tree was 1.64m, average diameter of root was 2.44cm, and that average width of crown was 1m. Therefore, there was no problem for Lindera erythrocarpa to grow under winter coldness in Suwon area.

공간기후모형을 이용한 농업기상정보 생산 (Visualization of Local Climates Based on Geospatial Climatology)

  • The spatial resolution of local weather and climate information for agronomic practices exceeds the current weather service scale. To supplement the insufficient spatial resolution of official forecasts and observations, gridded climate data are frequently generated. Most ecological models can be run using gridded climate data to produce ecosystem responses at landscape scales. In this lecture, state of the art techniques derived from geospatial climatology, which can generate gridded climate data by spatially interpolating point observations at synoptic weather stations, will be introduced. Removal of the urban effects embedded in the interpolated surfaces of daily minimum temperature, incorporation of local geographic potential for cold air accumulation into the minimum temperature interpolation scheme, and solar irradiance correction for daytime hourly temperature estimation are presented. Some experiences obtained from their application to real landscapes will be described.

Dependence of superconductivity on the crystallinity of Nb films on Si wafers

  • Among elemental metals, niobium (Nb) has the highest superconducting transition temperature (Tc) at ambient pressure. Thus, Nb films have been used in superconducting electronics and radio frequency cavity applications. In this study, the depositional factors determining the crystallinity and Tc of Nb films were investigated. An Nb film grown at a sputtering temperature of 240℃ exhibited the maximum crystallinity of Nb and the minimum crystallinity of niobium oxide. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy confirmed a maximum atomic percent of niobium and a minimum atomic percent of oxygen. A sputtering power of 210 W and a sputtering time of 50 min were the optimal conditions for Nb deposition, and the Tc of the optimized film (9.08 K) was close to that of bulk Nb (9.25 K). Transmission electron microscopy images of the thick film directly confirmed the removal of the typical in-plane compressive strain in the (110) plane caused by residual stress.

  • Radial, tilting-pad proceeding bearings are applied in high speed rotating machines operating at stable small and mean loads and the peripheral speeds of proceeding reaching 150 m/s. The operation of bearing can be determined by static characteristics including the oil film pressure, temperature and viscosity distributions, minimum oil film thickness, load capacity, power loss, oil flow. The operation of 5-lobe tilted-pad proceeding bearing has been introduced at the assumption of adiabatic oil film. The oil film pressure, temperature and viscosity distributions habe received by iterative solution of the Reynolds', energy and viscosity equations. The resulting oil film force, minimum oil film thickness, power loss. oil flow, maximum oil film pressure, maximum temperature were computed for different sets of bearing geometric parameters as: bearing length to diameter ratio, pad angular length and width as well as pad relative clearance.
