북한이탈주민의 가족이주 특성과 유형 (Family Migration Characteristics and Types of North Korean Defectors)

  • Objectives: This study explores the characteristics of family migration for North Korean defectors and classifies family migration by examining who initiated the migration and who followed. Method: We analyzed the family migration using detailed stories from fifty-five North Korean defectors who were interviewed between 2005 and 2011. Results: We found that 43 out of 55 cases were family migration and the remaining 12 cases were single person migration. We also found several characteristics typical of migration. First, family migration followed the process of step migration, which indicated a serial migration in numbers. Second, migration relied heavily on informal social networks. Finally, the process of earlier migration by North Koreans was incidental and unexpected; however, unexpectedness has diminished in recent migration. Looking at who initiated the migration, the most common type was 'mother-initiated' cases (14 cases) followed by 'child-initiated' cases (10 cases). The third most common type was 'mother-child accompanied' cases (7 cases). The migration process was various; however the most common type was when a married woman initiated the family migration process. This is most likely because married women have the responsibility to support families in the informal economy of North Korea. According to the range of family migrated, the most common type was 'nuclear-family only' cases (22 cases) followed by 'maternal extended family migration' cases (12 cases). Conclusions: The findings of this study provide information on the family dynamics of North Korean defectors.

  • This study develops a model of migration decision-making process, with identifying macrolevel and microlevel factors affecting the process. The model includes some sequential stages : to be dissatisfied with current residential area, intend to move, collect information about alternative destinations, select destination, decide to move, and make actual migration. The macrolevel factors included in the model are environmental, socioeconomic, cultural, and demographic characteristics of the current residence and alternative destinations. The microlevel factors are psychological, socioeconomic, and demographic characteristics of the individual. The effects of the macrolevel and microlevel factors on each stage of migration decision-making process are identified from the previous studies on migration. This study has both theoretical and practical implications. The theoretical contribution will be in the area of integrating the ecological and the individual level perspectives of migration by identifying the macrolevel and microlevel effects on migration decision-making process. This study also has implications for theoretical frameworks guiding empirical analysis of migration behavior of the individuals, and for policies aimed at redistributing population.

Continuous Migration Container System for Upgrading Object

  • During system resource improvement process that based on Object-Oriented technology could be affect to the continuous system performance if lack appropriate management and control objects mechanism. This paper proposes a methodology to support continuous system performance and its stability. The adoption is based on Java Container Framework and Collections Framework for object collection. Also includes Software Engineering, Object Migration and Multiple Class Loaders mechanism accommodate to construct Continuous Migration Container (CMC). CMC is a runtime environment provides interfaces for management and control to support upgrading object process. Upgrade object methodology of CMC can be divided into two phase are object equivalence checking and object migration process. Object equivalence checking include object behavior verification and functional conformance verification before object migration process. In addition, CMC use Multiple Class Loaders mechanism to support reload effected classes instead of state transfer in migration process while upgrading object. These operations are crucial for system stability and enhancement efficiency.

  • 가상머신 마이그레이션 과정에서 무단 접근, 데이터 변조 등의 보안 위협이 발생할 수 있다. 특히, 가상머신 마이그레이션은 사용자의 주요 데이터 및 중요 인프라 정보를 전송해야하기 때문에 해당 보안 위협이 발생할 경우 다른 클라우드 서비스에 비교적 위험성이 높다. 이러한 이유로 최근 가상머신 마이그레이션을 위한 동적인증의 필요성이 제기되고 있다. 이에 따라, 본 논문은 기존의 가상머신 마이그레이션을 위한 인증 기법의 취약점을 개선하기 위해 OTP 기반의 동적인증 프레임워크를 제안한다. 이는 가상머신 마이그레이션 요청 모듈 및 동작 모듈로 구성된다. 요청 모듈에서는 사용자가 마이그레이션 요청 시 OTP 기반의 사용자의 인증 과정 및 데이터 센터로의 마이그레이션 요청 과정을 포함한다. 동작 모듈에서는 SPEKE을 이용한 데이터 센터 간 안전한 키 교환 과정과 데이터 센터와 물리 서버 간 TOTP 기반의 상호인증 과정을 포함한다.

  • Numerous proposals for extending the relational data model as well as conceptual and object-oriented data models have been suggested. However, there has been relatively less research in the area of defining segmented storage structure and data migration strategies for temporal data. This paper presents the segmented storage structure in order to increment search performance and the two data migration strategies for segmented storage structure. this paper presents the two data migration strategies : the migration strategy by Time granularity, the migration strategy by LST-GET. In the migration strategy by Time Granularity, the dividing time point to assign the entity versions to the past segment, the current segment, and future segment is defined and the searching and moving process for data validity at a granularity level are described. In the migration strategy by LST-GET, we describe the process how to compute the value of dividing criterion. searching and moving processes are described for migration on the future segment and the current segment and entity versions 새 assign on each segment are defined. We simulate the search performance of the segmented storage structure in order to compare it with conventional storage structure in relational database system. And extensive simulation studies are performed in order to compare the search performance of the migration strategies with the segmented storage structure.

Migration of THO & Np in a Fractured Granite Core at Deep Underground Laboratory

  • Migration experiments of THO and 237Np have performed through a sampled granite core in Chemlab2 probe at the Aspo hard Rock laboratory. The elution curves of THO were analysed to determine hydraulic properties such as the extent of dispersion effect according to flow rates. The retardation phenomena of the solutes were observed and described with elution curves and migration plumes. After migration test, the rock core was opened, and the remaining radioactivities on the rock fracture surfaces were measured. The transport process was simulated with a two-dimensional channel model. The mass transport process was described with three types of basic processes ; advection, sorption and matrix diffusion. By the combination of these processes, effects of each process on transport were described in terms of elution curves and migration plumes. By comparing the simulation results to the experimental one, it was possible to analyse the retardation effect quantitatively.

Migration Strategies for Temporal Data based on Time-Segmented Storage Structure

  • Research interests on temporal data have been almost focused on data models. There has been relatively less research in the area of temporal data management. In this paper, we propose two data migration strategies based on time-segmented storage structure: the migration strategy by Time Granularity, the migration strategy by LST-GET. We describe the criterion for data migration and moving process. We simulated the performance of the migration strategy by Time Granularity in order to compare it with non-segmentation method. We compared and analyzed two data migration strategies for temporal data.

  • Migrim(Migration enhanced Grid Middleware)은 임베디드 단말과 다중 서버들 간의 통신 미들웨어이다. 기존의 통신 미들웨어는 단말이 서버의 자원 상태를 알지 못하기 때문에, 특정 서버에 부하가 집중될 경우에도 그 서버로 계속 요청을 보내는 문제가 있다. 또한 단말은 서버가 가진 정보를 알 수 없기 때문에, 트랜잭션 처리 결과에 대한 정확도를 보장하기 어렵다. 병목현상과 응답 정확도 문제 해결을 위해, 본 논문에서는 Migrim에 적용한 커넥션 이전과 트랜잭션 이전 기법을 제안한다. 커넥션을 다른 서버로 위임하는 과정인 커넥션 이전을 통해 전체 서버에 부하를 균등하게 분산시킬 수 있고, 트랜잭션 처리를 다른 서버로 위임하는 과정인 트랜잭션 이전을 통해 응답의 정확도를 높일 수 있다.

  • 이동 에이전트가 연속적으로 다근 노드로 이주될 때 총 작업수행 시간은 방문해야할 순서에 따라 변경될 수 있다. 효율적인 이주 알고리즘은 초기 상태에서 목적 상태로 수행되기 위해 최소한 수행 시간을 제공하는 수행 순서를 의미하며, 이동 에이전트의 효율적인 이주 알고리즘을 통해 개발자가 원하는 작업의 총 수행 시간을 최소화시킬 수 있다. 기존의 대표적인 이동 에이전트인 Aglets, Voyager, Odyssey 등은 이주할 때 네트워크 상태와 이주할 노드의 상태를 고려하지 못함으로써 효율적인 이주를 보장할 수 없다. 본 논문은 이동 에이전트에서 효율적인 이주를 위해 AMIS를 제안한다. AMIS는 이동 에이전트의 총 이주 시간을 최소화하며, 안전하고 견고한 이주를 위해 최단 수행 순서를 제공한다.

  • Recently, there is a growing tendency that fine-pitch electronic devices are increased due to higher density and very large scale integration. Finer pitch printed circuit board(PCB) is to be decrease insulation resistance between circuit patterns and electrical components, which will induce to electrical short in electronic circuit by electrochemical migration when it exposes to long term in high temperature and high humidity. In this research, the effect of soldering flux acting as an electrical carrier between conductors on electrochemical migration was investigated. The PCB pad was coated with OSP finish. Sn3.0Ag0.5Cu solder paste was printed on the PCB circuit and then the coupon was treated by reflow process. Thereby, specimen for ion migration test was fabricated. Electrochemical migration test was conducted under the condition of DC 48 V, $85^{\circ}C$, and 85 % relative humidity. Their life time could be increased about 22% by means of removal of flux. The fundamentals and mechanism of electrochemical migration was discussed depending on the existence of flux residues after reflow process.
