플럭스 코어드 와이어의 불화물 종류에 따른 용접금속 산소량의 변화 (Effects of Fluorides in the Flux Cored Wire on the Oxygen Content of Weld Metal)

  • Various fluorides, i.e., CaF2, Na3AlF6, K2SiF6, MnF3, MgF2, were added to the flux cored wire, and their effects on the oxygen content of the weld metal were investigated. The investigation showed that the oxygen content of weld metal was not influenced by the type of metallic elements in the fluoride; rather, it was influenced by the stability of the arc during welding. While the wire containing MgF2 showed the most stable arc and the least amount of oxygen in the weld metal, the wire containing MnF3 showed the least stable arc and the greatest amount of oxygen. Since the deoxidation of the weld metal was not affected by the deoxidation elements, such as Ca and Mg, it was possible to predict the oxygen content of the weld metal by the equilibrium Si-Mn deoxidation thermodynamic model.

  • In this paper, an all-metal domestic induction heating (IH) system that can quickly identify ferromagnetic and non-ferromagnetic pots considering temperature changes in the working coil is designed. Load modeling is performed after analyzing the parameters of the pot material and the central misalignment of the working coil. To improve the performance and stability of the all-metal IH cooking heater, a power curve-fitting model is used to design a control system that quickly responds to load parameter fluctuations. In addition, a power control algorithm is established to compensate for the reference value by reflecting the increase in working coil temperature during heating of the non-ferromagnetic pot. The validity of the proposed control algorithm for the all-metal IH is verified by experiments using a 3.2 kW all-metal IH cooking heater.

  • An integrated gold microdisk electrode was constructed and modified with metal-porphyrin or metal-phthalocyanines for NO determination in biological media. Microanalysis of NO using square wave anodic stripping voltammetry in $1\;{\times}\;10^{-2}$ M $HClO_4$ was optimal when the accumulation potential was 0.1 V, frequency 100 Hz, and the scan rate was 200 mV/s. When the electrode was modified with metal-porphyrin or metal-phthalocyanines, the anodic peak currents of NO increased due to the catalytic oxidation of NO. In case of Fe(II)-phthalocyanine modified electrode, the peak currents remarkably increased and the sensitivity was high. The calibration curve had good linearity in the range from $3.6\;{\times}\;10^{-5}$ M to $7.2\;{\times}\;10^{-7}$ M, and the detection limit was $5.7\;{\times}\;10^{-7}$ M. For the structural stability and increased sensitivity, Fe(II)-phthalocyanine modified gold microdisk electrode coated with Nafion was applied to determination of NO released from cultured macrophase.

  • 리튬 금속 기반 전극의 높은 용량에도 불구하고, 제어가 어려운 덴드라이트 성장은 낮은 쿨롱 효율, 안전 문제를 야기해, 리튬금속 배터리의 상용화를 제한한다. 본 연구에서는 압전 복합체인 BaTiO3/PVDF (BTO@PVDF) 기반 보호층을 리튬금속에 코팅, 덴드라이트에 의한 부피팽창으로 발생한 변형을 분극을 이용하여, 리튬 금속 전극의 안정성 및 성능을 향상하고자 한다. 이를 통해, 균일한 리튬이온의 증착이 가능해졌으며, BTO@PVDF 전극은 100 사이클 동안 약 98.1% 이상의 쿨롱 효율을 나타내었다. 또한, CV를 통해 향상된 리튬이온의 확산계수(DLi+) 증가를 보였으며, 본 연구에서 제시된 전략은 리튬 금속 전극의 성능 향상에 새로운 길을 나타내준다.

  • 양성자교환막연료전지에서 사용할 탄화수소계 전해질 막 (술폰산화 폴리아릴렌에테르설폰)의 산화안정성을 향상시키기 위하여 세륨이온이 도입된 전해질 복합막을 제조하였다. 세륨이온의 함유 농도에 따른 산화안정성의 변화를 관찰하였고, 함수율 및 수소이온전도도에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. ICP 분석을 통해 세륨이온의 함침여부를 검증하였고, NMR 피크의 화학적 이동으로 금속이온과 술폰산 그룹과의 배위여부를 확인하였다. 세륨이온의 함량이 증가함에 따라 이온전도도 및 함수율은 감소하였으나, 산화안정성은 향상되었다. 특히, 과산화수소폭로 가속화장치를 이용하여, 기존의 펜톤산화실험에 비해 실제 연료전지운전과 매우 유사한 조건에서 전해질 막의 산화안정성을 평가하였다.

Copigmentation에 의한 유색미 안토시아닌의 안정화 효과 (Effect of Copigmentation on the Stability of Anthocyanins from a Korean Pigmented Rice Variety)

  • Copigment로서 tannic aicd, caffeic acid, chlorogenic acid를 선택하여 유색미 안토시아닌의 색변화 특성 및 온도, 금속이온, 빛에 대한 안정성 변화를 조사하였다. 안토시아닌과 copigment 농도(M)비율을 1:1, 1:5, 1:10, 1:20과 1:40으로 조정하여 copigmentation 효과를 조사한 결과, copigments농도가 높을수록 농색화 효과가 높았으며, tannic acid를 첨가한 실험군이 가장 높은 농색화 효과를 나타내었다. $25^{\circ}C$에서 21일간 저장시에도 tannic acid의 농색화 효과는 지속적으로 유지되어 대조군에 비해 높은 안정성을 보여주었다. 고온에서는 copigment 첨가군의 반감기가 대조군의 반감기보다 감소하여 열에 대하여 오히려 더 불안정한 것으로 나타났다. Tannic acid와 금속이온을 함께 첨가한 경우에는 금속이온에 의한 농색화와 함께 copigment에 의한 농색화도 동시에 일어나 안정화 효과가 높아졌다. Copigmentation에 의하여 빛에 의한 안토시아닌의 분해속도가 크게 감소하여 빛에 대한 안정화 효과가 관찰되었다.

  • 다양한 원료유로부터 바이오디젤을 효율적으로 생산할 수 있는 고체촉매 개발을 위한 연구가 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 다양한 고체촉매 중 금속산화물계 촉매와 이온교환수지 촉매가 특히 유망한 것으로 평가되고 있다. 금속 산화물계 촉매의 경우 고체 촉매의 활성을 높이기 위해 반응 활성이 높은 촉매성분과 지지체의 탐색 및 촉매 성분을 지지체에 안정적으로 담지할 수 있는 기술이 주로 연구되고 있다. 특히 금속 산화물 촉매는 열적 안정성이 우수하여 고온이 요구되는 폐유지의 전이에스테르화- 에스테르화 동시 반응 시스템에서 활용성이 높을 것으로 평가된다. 이온교환수지 촉매는 반응 온도가 제한되므로 유리지방산의 에스테르화 반응 연구에 주로 적용되고 있다. 두 가지 고체촉매 모두 상용화 공정에 적용을 위해서는 보다 많은 연구가 진행되어야 한다. 특히 고체 촉매의 재사용에 따른 활성 저하 문제 해결이 주 과제가 될 것으로 보인다.

치환기를 가진 질소-산소(N2O2)계 네 자리 리간드의 합성과 중금속(II)이온 착화합물의 안정도상수 결정 (Syntheses of Tetradentate Nitrogen-Oxygen(N2O2)) Ligands with Substituents and the Determination of Stability Constants of Their Heavy(II) Metal Complexes)

  • Novel $N_2O_2$ tetradentate ligands, H-3BPD and H-2BPD were synthesized. Hydrochloric acid salts of Br-3BPD, Cl-3BPD, Br-2BPD and Cl-2BPD having Br and Cl substituents at the $para$ position of the phenol hydroxyl group, were synthesized. The ligands were characterized by C. H. N atomic analysis, $^1H$ NMR, $^{13}C$ NMR, UV-visible, and mass spectra. The proton dissociation constants ($logK_n{^H}$) of the phenol hydroxyl group and secondary amine of the synthesized $N_2O_2$ ligands were shown by four step wise values. The orders of the calculated overall proton dissociation constants ($log{\beta}_p$) were Br-3BPD < Cl-3BPD < H-3BPD in case of 3BPD and Br-2BPD < Cl-2BPD < H-2BPD in case of 2BPD respectively. The order agreed well with that of $para$ Hammett substituent constants(${\delta}_p$). The stability constants($logK_{ML}$) of the complexes between the synthesized ligands and transition metal(II) ions agreed with the order of $log{\beta}_p$ of the ligands. The order of the $logK_{ML}$ value of the each transition metal (II) ion was Co(II) < Ni(II) < Cu(II) > Zn(II) > Cd(II) > Pb(II), which agreed well with that of Iriving-Williams series.

태양열 집열기에 사용될 선택흡수막의 성능 평가 (Performance Evaluation of Selective Coatings for Solar Thermal Collectors)

  • Metal-metal oxide (M-M oxide) cermet solar selective coatings with a double cermet layer film structure were deposited on the Al-deposited glass substrate by using a directed current (DC) magnetron sputtering technology. M oxide (CrO and ZrO) was used as the ceramic component in the cermets, and Cr and Zr used as the metallic components. In addition, black Cr (Cr-$Cr_2O_3$ cermet) solar selective coatings were deposited on the Ni-plated Cu substrate by using a electroplating method for comparison. The thermal stability tests were carried out for performance evaluation of solar coatings. Reflectance measurements were used to evaluate both solar absorptance(${\alpha}$) and thermal emittance (${\epsilon}$) of the solar coatings before and after thermal testing by using a spectrometer. Optical properties of optimized cermet solar coatings were ${\alpha}{\simeq}0.94-0.96$ and ${\epsilon}{\simeq}0.1$ ($100^{\circ}C$). The results of thermal stability test of M-M oxide solar coatings showed that the Cr-CrO cermet solar selective coatings were more stable than the Zr-ZrO cermet selective coatings at temperature of both $400^{\circ}C$ in air and $450^{\circ}C$ in vacuum. The black Cr solar selective coatings were degraded in air at temperature of $400^{\circ}C$. The main optical degradation modes of these coatings were diffusion of metal atoms, and oxidation.

원추형 금속 기판의 팁 각도에 따른 탄소 나노튜브 이미터의 전계방출 특성 (Field-emission characteristics of carbon nanotube emitters in terms of tip angles of conical-type metal substrates)

  • A tip-type carbon nanotube(CNT)-based field emitter was studied to consider it as electron source for micro-focused x-ray tube. The CNT was grown directly on a metal (tungsten) substrate by using an inductively coupled plasma-chemical vapor deposition (ICP-CVD) method. Prior to CNT growth, the metal substrate was etched to have various tip angles from $10^{\circ}$ to $180^{\circ}C$ (flat-type). The morphologies and microstructures of all the grown CNTs were analyzed via field-emission SEM. Furthermore, the effects of substrate tip-angles on the emission properties of CNT-based field emitters were characterized to estimate the maximum current density, the turn-on voltage, and the spatial distribution of electron beams. Prolonged long-term stability testing of the CNT emitters was also performed. All the experiment results obtained from this study indicated why a tip-type CNT emitter, compared with a flat-type CNT emitter, would be more desirable for a micro-focused x-ray system, in terms of the emission current level, the focused beam area, and the emission stability.
