The main purpose of this study is to investigate the performance of the proposed hybrid teaching-learning based optimization algorithm on the optimum design of reinforced concrete (RC) cantilever retaining walls. For this purpose, three different design examples are optimized with 100 independent runs considering continuous and discrete variables. In order to determine the algorithm performance, the optimization results were compared with the outcomes of the nine powerful meta-heuristic algorithms applied to this problem, previously: the big bang-big crunch (BB-BC), the biogeography based optimization (BBO), the flower pollination (FPA), the grey wolf optimization (GWO), the harmony search (HS), the particle swarm optimization (PSO), the teaching-learning based optimization (TLBO), the jaya (JA), and Rao-3 algorithms. Moreover, Rao-1 and Rao-2 algorithms are applied to this design problem for the first time. The objective function is defined as minimizing the total material and labor costs including concrete, steel, and formwork per unit length of the cantilever retaining walls subjected to the requirements of the American Concrete Institute (ACI 318-05). Furthermore, the effects of peak ground acceleration value on minimum total cost is investigated using various stem height, surcharge loads, and backfill slope angle. Finally, the most robust results were obtained by HTLBO with 50 populations. Consequently the optimization results show that, depending on the increase in PGA value, the optimum cost of RC cantilever retaining walls increases smoothly with the stem height but increases rapidly with the surcharge loads and backfill slope angle.
This study examines the trend of research on food and culture in papers published in the Journal of The Korean Society of Food Culture from 1986 to 2020. The journals published a total of 329 papers, which we classified into 5 main categories and 13 middle categories. Of these, 204 articles were on "Korean traditional food culture." In order to investigate the composition and characteristics of instructional objectives in a teaching-learning material for gifted elementary students in science, 217 instructional objectives across 13 themes in 4 areas of 'energy','materials', 'life' and 'earth' were analyzed by Bloom's revised taxonomy of educational objectives. Four types of factual, conceptual, procedural and meta-cognitive knowledge in knowledge dimension were all comprised in the objectives. Conceptual knowledge was primary constituent of the objectives and the proportion of factual knowledge was the least. On the other hand, all 6 categories of 'remember', 'understand', 'apply', 'analyze', 'evaluate' and 'create' in cognitive process dimension were also comprised in the objectives. The category of 'understand' was primary constituent and that of 'remember' was the least one. While conceptual knowledge in knowledge dimension was primary constituent of the objectives in 'energy', 'materials' and 'earth' areas, procedural knowledge was the most objectives in 'life' area. The least type of knowledge was factual knowledge in all 4 areas. In cognitive process dimension, the category of 'understand' was primary constituent and that of 'remember' was the least one in all 4 areas. In conclusion, it was showed that the instructional objectives in the teaching-learning material reflected the characteristics of educational objectives for gifted students in science.
This research aims to integrate study results through a meta-analysis of previous studies on the variables related with social support for female marriage immigrants. Based on the results, this study established the foundation of an integrated social support system for female marriage immigrants which considers both the functional perspective and structural perspective of social support, and suggested plans for an efficient support system. All social support was positively associated with female marriage immigrants marriage life, child-rearing behavior and attitude, reduction of stress and depression and psychological stability. In relation to the effect size of each variable related with all social support, the marriage variable had the biggest relationship with it, followed by the parenting variable, the psychological variable and the stress variable in that order. With reference to the relationship with related variables according to the sub-domain of social support, from the structural perspective, spousale support showed a high relationship with the marriage variable and the stress variable. It was also especially, very highly related with the marriage variable. In addition, a married woman's family support and expert support had an intermediate relationship with the marriage variable, and the husband's family support and friend support had a low relationship with it. From the functional perspective, material support had a very high relationship with the marriage variable, whereas it had a low relationship with the stress variable and the psychological variable. Emotional support was also highly related with marriage variable, but showed an intermediate or low relationship with the psychological variable and the stress variable. On the other hand, informational support displayed an intermediate relationship with the stress variable and the psychological variable, and a high relationship with the marriage variable. Lastly, evaluative support had a high relationship with the marriage variable and the psychological variable. Based on these results, this study proposed plans for an integrated social support system as follows. First, education ought to be provided for the spouses, and support for marital adjustment should be offered. Second, there plans should be made for continuous bonding with the family of origin, and support should be given to address changes in awareness of the relationship with the husband's parents. Third, it is required to revitalize the local community and self-help groups, and provide the female marriage immigrants with opportunities to participate in social activities.

The outer tie rod is one of the part of steering system, the optimization process was executed to find the lightweight design. The inner tie rod was considered in the optimum design of an outer tie rod. it could be closer to the test condition than in the case of considering outer tie rod only. The aluminum forging material was considered as a weight reduction proposal. The target of optimization was the shape of the minimum weight to resist at the load of buckling. RSM and Kriging interpolation method were applied as a optimization method to consider the nonlinear shape optimization problem. Then, 16.3%, 16.6% of weight reduction was obtained from the result comparing with that of the initial model. The results of meta model optimization was compared with that of finite element method. The error values of buckling load estimation were 2.6%, 2.04%. and those of weight estimation were 0.17%, 0.13%. Therefore, it seemed that the result of Kriging model could be obtained closer to optimum value than that of RSM model.
Various periodontal barrier membranes used in many clinical and experimental fields, and many recent studies of membranes have reported good results. To improve clinical results, selection of barrier membranes is an important factor. So, we need not only to evaluate various barrier mem-branes, but also to understand the property of barrier membranes appropriate to defect characteristics. For this purpose, this study reviewed available literature, evaluated comparable experimental models, and compared various barrier membranes. From above mentioned methods, the following conclusions are deduced. 1. In i-wall periodontal defect models, new bone formation showed a consistent result, almost 30% of the defect size. New cementum formations measured mostly 40% of the defect size, but showed more variations than new bone formations. This seems to be resulted form difference in experimental methods, so standardization in experimental methods is needed for future studies. 2. Application PLGA barrier membrane to periodontal defect demonstrated improved healing in new bone and new cementum. 3. There was a minimal periodontal regeneration with calcium sulfate barrier membrane only. But, there was better healing pattern in combination of calcium sulfate membrane with bone graft material, such as DFDBA, 4. There was no significant difference between the experimental group that used chitosan mem-brane only and the control group. But, in combination with bone graft material for space maintanence, periodontal regeneration was improved. Overall, Space maintenance is a critical factor for Guided tissue regeneration using barrier membranes. Also, a barrier membrane itself that has difficulty in maintaining space, achieved better result when used with graft material.

It is very interesting and important in the academic point of view and in practical use the hydrogen-induced phase separation(HIPS) which appears during hydrogen heat treatment. Since hydrogen can be removed very fast by pumping it out the hydrogen-induced new lattice phase which can not be obtained without hydrogen can be preserved as meta-stable state. In this study it has been investigated whether the HIPS appear in Pd-Al, Pd-Co, Pd-Cr, Pd-Ti, Pd-V and Pd-Zr alloys and discussed thermodynamic representation of the HIPS. The Pd alloys were arc-melted under argon atmosphere and remelted 4 or 5 times for homogenization. The alloys were annealed at 600$^{\circ}C$ under vacuum for 24 hrs and then subjected to pressure-composition isotherm measurements at 100$^{\circ}C$. The hydrogen heat treatment(HHT) of samples was carried out at 600$^{\circ}C$ under hydrogen pressure of 70 bar for 6 days and PC isotherms at 100$^{\circ}C$ were measured. By comparing the PC isotherms measured before and after HHT, occurrence of phase separation was determined. The experimental results showed that the HIPS appeared only in Pd-0.05Co alloy. For Pd-Co alloys with various composition the PC isotherms were measured. By adopting Park-Flanagan model for ternary thermodynamics the Gibbs free energy change for Pd-Co-H solid solution was calculated and subsequently with this the HIPS in Pd-Co alloy was explained fairly.

The object of this research is to produce alkali activated fly ash-cement using low calcium fly ash as substitute for portland cement. The experimental program included activation of fly ash by a strong base(NaOH) at different concentration, temperature, and liquid-to-fly ash ratios. To achieve for higher compressive strength of the hardened product, sodium meta silicate is added to the alkaline solution. From the factors considered on strength development, the ratio of liquid/fly ash, the activator concentration and temperature always result to be significative factors. The optimization studied show that the alkaline solution concentration of $NaOH(210g)+Na_2SiO_3{\cdot}9H_2O(30g)+H_2O=1L$ at $50^{\circ}C$ produces the best alkali activation effect for the low calcium fly ash. SEM and XRD patterns showed that the components of alkali-activated fly ash consist mainly of mullite, quartz and amorphous aluminosilicate.

In this paper, various spiral zeroth-order resonators are proposed for wireless power transmission. Since a zerothorder resonance(ZOR) mode of meta-material transmission lines has the characteristic of an infinite wavelength, its frequency is independent of physical length. Also, to obtain high transmission efficiencies high-Q resonators and strong coupling coefficient between coupled resonators are required. Therefore, the resonators consist of spiral inductor and lumped capacitor to use the ZOR mode and they are optimized via parametric study and circuit analysis for a high-Q resonator design. The optimized resonators are simulated and compared with a conventional spiral resonator and one of them was fabricated and measured. The fabricated one has a dimension of $20cm{\times}20cm{\times}8cm$($0.009{\lambda}_0{\times}0.009_{\lambda}_0{\times}0.004{\lambda}_0$) and the transmission efficiency of 80 % is measured at 13.56 MHz at transmitted distance of 40 cm.

This paper introduces a ring hybrid coupler using shunt capacitors, high impedance lines and CRLH-TLs (Composite Right/Left-Handed Transmission Lines) with size reduction and bandwidth enhancement. The reduced method of line length uses to combine a short length high impedance line and shunt capacitors. Also, there is combined CRLH meta-material so as to obtain wide bandwidth of transmission line using nonlinear phase characteristic of CRLH-TL that consists of series capacitors and shunt inductors. The implemented ring hybrid coupler shows a novel design with compact size that is smaller than 10% and bandwidth is larger than 60% of conventional ring hybrid coupler.
