Mesh screen modeling and liquid propellant discharge simulation of surface tension tank were performed using commercial CFD software Flow-3d. $350{\times}2600$, $400{\times}3000$ and $510{\times}3600$ DTW mesh screen were modeled using macroscopic porous media model. Porosity, capillary pressure, and drag coefficient were assigned for each mesh screen model, and bubble point simulations were performed. The mesh screen model was validated with the experimental data. Based on the screen modeling, liquid propellant discharge simulation from PMD tank was performed. NTO was assigned as the liquid propellant, and void was set to flow into the tank inlet to achieve an initial volume flow rate of liquid propellant in $3{\times}10^{-3}g$ acceleration condition. The intial flow pressure drop through the mesh screen was approximately 270 Pa, and the pressure drop increased with time. Liquid propellant discharge was sustained until the flow pressure drop reached approximately 630 Pa, which was near the estimated bubble point value of the screen model.
There are a lot errors and little accuracy when calculating the grounding resistance with the transposition methods in the equivalent surface of hemisphere electrode. Therefore we should calculate the grounding resistance by using the mesh factor. In this paper, we would estimated the grounding value of mesh electrode with water tank model & estimation method using the reduced scale ratio of mesh electrode based on the theory of model electrode & proportional factor according to the reduced scale ratio. And also we have confirmed the accuracy of the empirical formula of model electrode by using by regression analysis.

Given the widespread use of the Finite Element Method in strength analysis, automatic mesh generation is an important component in the computer-aided design of parts and assemblies. For a given resolution of geometric accuracy, the purpose of mesh generators is to discretize the continuous model of a part within this error limit. Sticking to this condition often produces many small elements around small features in spite that these regions are usually of little interest and computer resources are thus wasted. Therefore, it is desirable to selectively suppress small features from the model before discretization. This can be achieved by low-pass filtering a CAD model. A spatial function of one dimension higher than the model of interest is represented using the Fourier basis functions and the region where the function yields a value greater than a prescribed value is considered as the extent of a shape. Subsequently, the spatial function is low-pass filtered, yielding a shape without the small features. As an undesirable effect to this operation, all sharp corners are rounded. Preservation of sharp corners is important since stress concentrations might occur there. This is why the LPF (low-pass filtered) model can not be directly used. Instead, the distances of the boundary elements of the original shape from the LPF model are calculated and those that are far from the LPF model are identified and removed. It is shown that the number of mesh elements generated on the simplified model is much less than that of the original model.
A regularization method based on the Duvaut-Lions viscoplastic scheme for plastic-damage and continuum damage models, which provides mesh-independent and well-posed solutions in nonlinear earthquake analysis of concrete dams, is presented. A plastic-damage model regularized using the proposed rate-dependent viscosity method and its original rate-independent version are used for the earthquake damage analysis of a concrete dam to analyze the effect of the regualarization and mesh. The computational analysis shows that the regularized plastic-damage model gives well-posed solutions regardless mesh size and arrangement, while the rate-independent counterpart produces mesh-dependent ill-posed results.
In this study, we conducted resistance and propulsion performance test of ship composed of the Resistance Test, Propeller Open Water Test and Self Propulsion Test using the CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics). We used commercial RANS(Reynolds Averaged Navier Stokes equation) solver, as a calculating tool. The unstructured grids were used in a bow and stern of ship, having complex shape, for a convenience of generating grids, and the structured grids were adopted in a central hull and rest of hull having a relatively simple shape which is called hybrid grid method. In addition, The sliding mesh method was adopted to rotate a propeller directly in the Propeller Open Water and Self Propulsion Test. The Resistance Test and Self Propulsion Test were calculated using Volume of Fluid (VOF) model and considering a free surface. And all The three cases were applied realizable k-epsilon model as the turbulence model. The results of calculations were verified for the suitability of calculations by comparing MOERI's EFD results.
This study was carried out to estimate the moisture sorption characteristics and prediction model of anchovy powders with different particle size as above 80 mesh, 80-60 mesh and 40-60 mesh. The equilibrium moisture content had higher values at lower storage temperatures, and higher water activity. The monolayer moisture content calculated using the GAB equation showed a higher level of significance than that of BET equation. The estimated monolayer moisture content was 0.024-0.052 g $H_2O/g$ dry solid. The absorption enthalpy was calculated with different particle size and various water activities. It showed that the absorption energy was decreased with increasing water activity but no difference was found on particle size increasement. The fitness of the isotherm curve was shown to be in the order of Khun, Halsey, Caurie and Oswin model. The prediction model equations for the moisture content were established by ln(time), water activity, and temperature, respectively. The model equation will be helpful for future work on drying and storage of anchovy powder.

In this paper, we propose a blind watermarking algorithm of 3d mesh model using spherical parameterization. Spherical parameterization is a useful method which is applicable to 3D data processing. Especially, orthogonal coordinate can not analyse the feature of the vertex coordination of the 3D mesh model, but this is possible to analyse and process. In this paper, the centroid center of the 3D model was set to the origin of the spherical coordinate, the orthogonal coordinate system was transformed to the spherical coordinate system, and then the spherical parameterization was applied. The watermark was embedded via addition/modification of the vertex after the feature analysis of the geometrical information and topological information. This algorithm is robust against to the typical geometrical attacks such as translation, scaling and rotation. It is also robust to the mesh reordering, file format change, mesh simplification, and smoothing. In this case, the this algorithm can extract the watermark information about $90{\sim}98%$ from the attacked model. This means it can be applicable to the game, virtual reality and rapid prototyping fields.

This paper presents a new paradigm for 3-axis tool path generation based on an incomplete 2-manifold mesh model, namely, an inexact polyhedron. When geometric data is transferred from one system to another system and tessellated for tool path generation, the model does not have any topological data between meshes and facets. In contrast to the existing polyhedral machining approach, the proposed method generates tool paths from an incomplete 2-manifold mesh model. In order to generate gouge-free tool paths, CL-meshes are generated by offsetting boundary edges, boundary vertices, and facets. The CL-meshes are sliced by machining planes and the calculated intersections are sorted, trimmed, and linked. The grid method is used to reduce the computing time when range searching problems arise. The method is fully implemented and verified by machining an incomplete 2-manifold mesh model.

This paper proposes a robustness watermarking for 3D mesh model based on projection onto convex sets (POCS). After designing the convex sets for robustness and invisibility among some requirements for watermarking system, a 3D-mesh model is projected alternatively onto two constraints convex sets until the convergence condition is satisfied. The robustness convex set are designed for embedding the watermark into the distance distribution of the vertices to robust against the attacks, such as mesh simplification, cropping, rotation, translation, scaling, and vertex randomization. The invisibility convex set are designed for the embedded watermark to be invisible. The decision values and index that the watermark was embedded with are used to extract the watermark without the original model. Experimental results verify that the watermarked mesh model has invisibility and robustness against the attacks, such as translation, scaling, mesh simplification, cropping, and vertex randomization.
