재생에너지 발전 확대에 따른 전력계통한계가격의 변화 (The Impact of Renewable Energy Generation on the Level and Volatility of Electricity Price: The Case of Korea)

  • 이 논문은 우리나라의 재생에너지 발전이 전력계통한계가격(System Marginal Price: SMP)에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 분석한다. 2016~2020년 시간별 데이터를 사용하여 일일 평균, 피크 시간대, 피크 외 시간대의 SMP에 대해 ARX-GARCHX 모형으로 추정한 결과 총부하, 가스도입가격과 태양광 및 풍력 발전이 중요 결정요인으로 작용하고 있고, 특히 태양광 및 풍력 발전이 증가함에 따라 SMP는 하락하는 급전순위효과(merit order effect)가 존재하는 것을 확인하였다. 특히, 태양광 발전량의 1% 증가는 SMP 수준을 0.005%가량 하락시킬 뿐만 아니라 변동성을 증가시키는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 재생에너지 발전이 증가함에 따라 SMP가 하락하여 기존 발전소의 수익성 감소와 재생에너지 투자 감소로 이어질 수 있음을 시사하고, 신재생에너지 보조금이 소매 부분 전기요금에 부담을 가중하더라도 계통한계가격이 낮아져서 이를 상쇄할 수 있음을 의미한다.

Characterization and Gas-sensing Performance of Spray Pyrolysed In2O3 Thin Films: Substrate Temperature Effect

  • Spray pyrolysis method was applied for the preparation of indium oxide ($In_2O_3$) thin films, by varying the substrate temperature range from 400-$600^{\circ}C$. All the samples were characterized at room temperature by using X-Ray diffraction, Scanning electron microscopy, Atomic Force Microscopy, Hall Effect and UV-Visible spectrophotometry. The optimal substrate temperature required for obtaining films of high crystallographic quality was $575^{\circ}C$. By comparing optical transmittance and electrical conductivity it was observed that the best figure of merit for these films was achieved for the same temperature and electrical resistivity was in the order of ${\rho}=1.47{\times}10^{-1}[{\Omega}cm]$. Gas sensing measurements of the films in ethanol showed enhancement with surface roughness and sheet resistance.

  • Microstructure of polycrystalline Lead Telluride was controlled by the change of sintering conditions. Three properties which determine the thermoelectric figure of merit of the material were measured in the temperature range of 300-650K in order to investigate the effect of each sintering condition on the thermoelectric efficiency. Based on the observed experimental results, defect structure is concluded to be more important than microstructure though both can be controlled by processing variables.

  • For commercial applications, MEA development must be optimized in order to achieve high performance and low cost. There are many factors that affect the performance of MEA. Especially, the optimization of the method for preparing catalyst layer has great effect on the performance of MEA. Various methods have been used to prepare the catalyst layer of MEA. Among them, spraying method has a merit in that catalysis lay can be prepared with very flexible changes in catalyst layer as well as in the solvent composition of catalyst ink. In addition, in order to reduce the time required for manufacturing catalyst layer, an effort has been made to change the nozzle size and injection pressure of spray system. Further, the operation condition of spray system was changed in various ways in an effort to prepare optimum catalyst layer of MEA. Having optimized the operation condition of spraying system, comprehensive and diverse experiments were carried out concerning various factors that affect the performance of MEA. The present research report describes the results of more sub-categorized and more detailed experiments about the important factors (Nafion$^{(R)}$ ionomer, Relative humidity) which have been shown in previous experiments to exert greater effect on the performance of MEA.

부분적인 feed forward 제어 알고리즘을 사용한 고차 PMD 보상에 대한 연구 (Higher-order PMD compensator using partially feed forward algorithm)

  • 본 논문에서는 고차 편광모드분산(PMD: polarization-mode dispersion)을 효과적으로 보상하기 위한 방법으로, DOP (degree of polarization)를 1차 PMD 보상을 위한 피드백 신호와 고차 PMD 보상을 위한 feed forward 신호로 사용하는 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 1차 보상이 끝난 후의 DOP값이 남아있는 고차 PMD의 정도를 나타내는 척도로써 인식하여 고차 PMD를 보상하는 시스템이 되겠다. 이러한 시스템은 고차 보상기의 자유도를 1차 보상기의 자유도로 제한하기 때문에 안정적이고 비교적 간단하게 구성할 수 있다는 장점이 있다. 제안된 알고리즘의 성능을 분석하기 위하여 10Gbps NRZ시스템의 전송 모의 실험을 수행하였으며, 그 결과 시스템 다운 시간인 outage probability가 약 세 배 가량 감소되는 것을 확인하였다.

$(Pb, La)TiO_3$ 세라믹스의 소결 거동 및 유전.초전 특성 (Sintering Behavior, Dielectric and Pyroelectric Properties of $(Pb, La)TiO_3$ Ceramics)

  • The sintering behavior of La-modified PbTiO3 ceramics was investigated in order to improve the poor sinterability of PbTiO3. Addition of La improved the sinterability. It was confirmed that this improvement was due to the decrease in tetragonality ratio c/a of crystal lattice. The variations of dielectric constant and pyroelectric coefficient were measured with temperature. It was observed that with the increase of La content, Curie temperature decreased and dielectric constant at room temperature increased. La-modified PbTiO3 ceramics had smaller pyroelectric figure of merits than those of pyroelectric materials in use. The effects of grain size on dielectric and pyroelectric properties were also investigated. The change of grain size had effect on maximum dielectric constant and pyroelectric coefficient, but is had little effect on pyroelectric figure of merit at room temperature. The closer examination near ferro-paraelectric phase transition temperature revealed that the behavior of phase transition approached a more relaxor character with the increase of La content and the decrease of grain size.

  • The important merit of Bi-2212/Ag wire is to apply cable as round wire state. Bi-2212 high Tc superconducting wires were fabricated in order to apply Rutherford cable near the future. Various Ag ratio from 0.22 to 0.42 of Ag tubes for PID (powder-In-Tube) process were used to investigate the workability and to prevent breakage of filaments during drawing. In order to find proper heat treatment condition, we investigated micro-structure of Bi-2212/Ag wires by using differential thermal analysis, XRD and SEM. The effect of atmosphere on the peritectic decomposition temperature of precursor was investigated. The shape of grain was observed by SEM to investigate Bi-2212 phase formation in filaments. The higher of Ag ratio of mono filament had the higher critical current density, Jc. The wire with 0.42 of Ag ratio showed 7,886 A/cm2 of Jc at 77K.

수직흡수기의 열 및 물질전달 촉진 (Enhancement of Heat and Mass Transfer for a Vertical Type Absorber)

  • Absorption systems require a heat source for working but they have a great merit in that relatively low-temperature and low-quality types of thermal energy such as solar heat and exhaust heat can be effectively utilized as heat source. However details research related to absorbers which have a great effect on performances has been rarely done and thus there has been a strong hope for positive developments to improve their efficiencies. This paper describes absorption experiments made with different inside tube diameters and shapes. The purpose of this study is to acquire basic knowledge about heat and mass transfer in a falling film type absorber with vertical inner tubes. Heat and mass transfer were measured for water vapor absorption into a water/LiBr solution flowing down an absorber of vertical inner tubes. As a result absorption acceleration tube compares bare tube and heat transfer improved by order of insert spring tube corrugated tube grooved tube. And the acceleration that is good provided in inserting spring tube for both sides of heat and mass transfer.

확대 영상의 윤각선 보간 알고리즘 비교 (Interpolation Algorithm Comparison for Contour of Magnified Image)

  • When a input image is extensively magnified on the computer system, it is almost impossible to replicate the original shape because of mismatched coordinates system. In order to resolve the problem, the shape of the magnified image has been reconfigured using the bilinear interpolation method, low pass special filtering interpolation method and B-spline interpolation method, Ferguson curve interpolation method based on the CAD/CAM curve interpolation algorithm. The computer simulation main result was that. Nearest neighbor interpolation method is simple in making the interpolation program but it is not capable to distinguish the original shape. Bilinear interpolation method has the merit to make the magnified shape smooth and soft but calculation time is longer than the other method. Low pass spatial filtering method and B-spline interpolation method has an effect to immerge the intense of the magnified shape but it is also difficult to distinguish the original shape. Ferguson curve interpolation method has sharping shape than B-spline interpolation method.

풍력발전이 SMP에 미치는 영향 (An Analysis of the Impact of Wind Power Generation on SMP)

  • 제4차 전력수급기본계획(2008-2022)과 제3차 신 재생에너지 기술개발 및 이용.보급계획에 의거하여 전력산업기반기금을 통해 우선 구매되는 풍력발전이 계통한계가격(SMP, System Marginal Price)에 미치는 영향을 점검하였다. 제4차 전력수급기본계획(2008-2022)에서 향후의 전원설비건설계획과 전력수요를 참고하고, 제3차 신 재생에너지 기술개발 및 이용 보급계획에 의거, 풍력발전보급계획을 반영하였다. 발전변동비의 변화는 미래의 화석연료변동에 따를 것으로 보아 명목상승률 3%, 6%, 그리고 8%의 경우를 검토하였다. 현재는 풍력발전용량이 전체발전용량에 비해 미미해서 SMP에 큰 변화를 가져다주지 못하고 있지만 2014년에는 SMP가 결정되는 구간이 LNG발전기에서 유연탄발전기로 옮겨감에 따라 SMP차이가 최대 20.02[\/KWh](발전 비용 명목 상승률8%)에 달하다가 2020년에는 다시 0[\/KWh](발전비용 명목상승률8%)으로 줄어드는 것으로 분석되었다.
