In the past, the mention of "international arbitration" would have brought to mind only commercial arbitration. However, the frequency of investment treaty arbitration has seen remarkable grow thanks to the rise of globalization and the spread of multi-national corporations. Reflecting on the current state of the world, this paper introduces the meaning, characteristics, and differences between commercial arbitration and investment treaty arbitration in the context of procedural considerations. To this end, this paper examines some major procedural differences among the said types of arbitration, by dividing commercial arbitration into institutional arbitration and ad hoc arbitration, and dividing investment treaty arbitration into ICSID arbitration and UNCITRAL Rules arbitration.

This study discusses a fuel injector test bench containing a mechanical type fuel supply system for heavy duty diesel engine. The main focus of this study was to evaluate the design stability of the test bench, which basically measures the injector durability of a multi-hole heavy duty injector by using pure diesel as a test fuel. In this experiment, diesel spray was controlled by a specially designed control box and all the experiments were carried out to measure e.g. fuel injection pressure and fuel injection quantity to understand the injection status which is interlinked with the stability factor of total test bench design. Also, the durability test was performed to understand the heavy duty operation lastingness of the designed system and the flow rate of the installed distributor pump in the fuel supply system of this studying test bench was compared with LO-1 and LO-2 pump. The results of the above mention tests revealed that the injector test bench design and control system can serve the purpose for heavy duty injector.

From surface flow visualization on a MIRA notchback reference model using oil flow technique, the topology of the singular points of the skin friction lines are delineated. Separation and reattachment lines at the front screen, at the A-pillar, at the C-pillar and on the rear side of the car including the trunk have been identified. It is worth to mention that two vortices emerging from the top of the trunk coil in the opposite direction as that vortices starting from the C-pillar edge. The positions of the singular points and the separation and reattachment lines and the foci of the vortices provide a sensitive database for validation of CFD-codes

CNC technology is used in various industrial fields, whose best example is the product part. The technology has been applied to machine tools such as automatic lathes and machining centers, etc. Recently, CNC technology has been applied not only to industrial parts but also to consumer part such as dental prosthesis and 3D face carving machine. In this paper, we introduce the application of the CNC technology to the 3D face carving machine, which the public has been not familiar with yet. It enables general users to control the machine and get the product with ease. We also mention examples of the application of the technology to the related fields and the way open CNC technology is used in controlling the calving machine.

It is undeniable that teachers play the principal roles in education. This is why education and professional development of teachers are so important. Some of recent works have made this fact clearer. In America, in particular, many reports and research papers have recently been published on these problems. In this paper, we first introduce briefly the current system of education, employment, and professional development of mathematics teachers in Korea. And then we mention a research project on education of mathematics teachers. The final report of the project contains some suggestions for curriculums of the department for education of mathematics teachers. We describe one example of extended syllabus which implements those suggestions. The example is on Modern Algebra I.

In this paper, a three-fingered anthropomorphic robot hand, called SKK Robot Hand 1, is presented. By employing a two-DOF joint mechanism, called Double Active Universal Joint (abbreviated as DAUJ from now on) as its metacarpal joint, the hand makes it possible to mimic humanlike motions. We begin with addressing the motivation of the design and mention how the anthropomorphic feature of a human is realized in the design of SKK Hand I Also, the mechanism of the hand is explained in detail, and advantages in its modular design are discussed. The proposed hand is developed for use as a testbed for dextrous manipulation. It is expected to resolve the increasing demand for robotic applications in unstructured environments. We describe its hardware construction as well as the controller structure including the preliminary results of experiments.

As the accuracy of manufactured goods needed high-accuracy processing has made the efficiency of NC and measurment technology develop, the innovation of machine tools has influence the development of the semi-conductor and optical technology. We can mention that a traction role of the acceleration for the development like that depends on the development of the measurement technics - Stylus instrument method, STM, SEM, Laser interferometer method - which are used for measuring the movement accuracy of machine tools. The movement error factors in movement accuracy are expressed as yaw, roll, and pitch etc. Machining center has 21 movement error factors including of 3 axies joint errors because that has 3 axies and has been measured as the standard of the unloaded condition until now inspite of getting static, dynamic, and servo-gain errors in the case of expending the error range. Therefore, this study tries to measure position accuracy according to loading on the X-Y table of the machining center.

In this paper, I explore the semantic interpretation of the English present perfect by arguing that the perfect is analogous to modals in its interpretation. The perfect produces several different readings, i.e., the resultative and the current relevant reading, to mention a few. Despite this, the meaning of the perfect remains invariable in sentences where it occurs. Instead, the semantic variability of the perfect is due to the nature of the conversational background. This indicates that just as modals are context-dependent, so is the perfect, which inspires a modal-based approach to the semantics of the perfect. By incorporating such an approach into its semantic analysis, we can present a unified account of the different meanings of the perfect.
