The rapid development and distribution of information communication industry facilitates the changes of hospital administration, introducing EMR(Electronic Medical Record) instead of paper-based medical record in the medical field. The developed countries such as U.S. have established EMR system after in the middle of 1970s because the primary advantages of EMR is to store and handle vast amounts of records efficiently and increase the quality of health care. Most of health organizations in Korea also apply medical record system to their administration. As the result, they have accomplished a scientific administration system through the use of medical record to handle a variety of patient's information including patient's confidentiality and privacy such as family history, social status, income level, and so on. However, access to and the misuse of EMR causes illegal infringement of patient's information and finally it becomes a very serious medical issue. Potential leakage and misuse of records may seriously infringe patient's privacy rights. In this respect, the related agencies in the public and private sector have been making efforts to prevent patient's records leakages. Especially, the revision bill of Medical Law in 2002 establishes the ways on the security and standards of electronic records. However, it does not provide the proper guidelines which is applied to the rapid changes of the medical environment. One of the most priorities in the hospital administration is the production and maintenance of an accurate medical records fulfilled by medical recorders. Therefore, it is very important for health care providers to hire ethical-based medical recorders. But, unfortunately most of hospitals overlook the importance of their roles. All parts including government, physician and patient must have more concerns on the problems related to EMR. Therefore, this study aims to propose the proper ways to resolve the problems coming from EMR.
Basic summary of the medical administration : Due to Qing dynasty being the last of the dynastic era, it revealed overall extreme political traits in politics, economy, phenomenon, and cultural aspects. Few emperors of the early Qing dynasty adopted appeasement policy that mitigated ironies to a certain extent and showed growth in various business related fields. Even the medical administration had freshness during that period. United medical administrative system was generally formed, chicken pox was effectively prevented, shamanistic treatment was banned, medical journals were complied by the government, medical relief was more intensely done. However, actions on restoring Ming dynasty and against Qing dynasty as well as the reform power grew against Qing government threatening it. The drastically grown forces from the western region dan1aged Qing dynasty that the governors had to adopt despotic measures in politics, economy and culture. Social chaos began to arise, economy stagnated and weakened that the medical field also dwindled to the point where it could not be restored to the original point. The era of Qing dynasty was the period that had scientific culture at its fast growing pace, but for Chinese medicine, by contrary, due to autocracy and other factors, was faced with barriers in the medical development.

In this study, the initial in vivo pharmacokinetic changes according to the routes of drug administration were investigated using bioimaging techniques. The purpose of this study was to quantify the degree of distribution of each major organ in normal mice over time by acquiring Positron Emission Tomography/Computed Tomography images while administering routes F-18 fluorodeoxyglucose such as intravenous, intraperitoneal and per oral, a representative diagnostic radiopharmaceutical. Dynamic Positron Emission Tomography images were acquired for 90 minutes after drug administration. Radioactivity uptake was calculated for major organs using the PMOD program. In the case of intravenous administration, it was confirmed that it spread quickly and evenly to major organs. Compared to intravenous administration, intraperitoneal administration was about three times more absorbed and distributed in the liver and intestine, and it was showed that the amount excreted through the bladder was more than twice. In the case of oral administration, most stayed in the stomach, and it was showed that it spread slowly throughout the body. In comparison with intravenous administration, it was presented that the distribution of kidneys was more than 9 times and the distribution of bladder was 66% lower. Since there is a difference in the initial in vivo distribution and excretion of each administration method, we confirmed that the determination of the administration route is important for in vivo imaging evaluation of new drug candidates.
Gastritis is the most common disease among Korean. The demand for the development of gastritis drugs has been increasing. Currently, however, there is no guideline available for the clinical evaluation of gastritis drugs worldwide. As a consequence, domestic and international pharmaceutical companies make errors in the drug development processes, and it becomes difficult for them to establish the scientific validity and objectivity of newly developed drugs. The objective of this study was to develop the Guideline for Clinical Trials Evaluation of Gastritis which can be used in improving the quality and consistency of clinical trials. First, we collected and reviewed the clinical trials on gastritis drugs that were available from Japan Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency and Korea Food and Drug Administration (KFDA), and investigated the recent research trends on clinical trials of gastritis drugs. Reviewers from KFDA and National Institute of Food and Drug Safety Evaluation and scientific experts from the pharmaceutical industries developed the guidelines through regularly scheduled meetings. Opinions and consultation from academic fields and industry experts were also obtained. This project will provide the clinical trial practitioners, investigator and reviewers the scientific and rational guidelines for performance and evaluation of clinical trials for gastritis drugs. Furthermore, we hope this guideline contributes to establishing the national competitiveness, improving the quality of clinical trial, and encouraging researches on drug development for gastritis.
This research seeks opinions and development plan in forceful measures of qualifying examinations analyzing awareness of people in charge of medical tour about the qualifying examination system of international medical tour coordinator. The result of research shows the relatively positive awareness towards the qualifying examination and its system of international medical tour coordinator. Regarding the examination subjects, score about the necessity of subject where medical professionalism is considered marked high(4.01). About whether they would take the test or not, there was careful difference in the awareness of examination system(0.019) and operation method(0.004.). For the qualifying examination to be settled and thus to reinforce the professionalism, it is considered essential to have improvement in the problems of treatment towards acquisitors of certificate and awareness of field regarding the certificate, and review of supplementary subject aimed at the reinforcement of medical professionalism in terms of examination subjects.

Background: The purpose of this study was to explore the relationship between the local extinction index and total medical service utilization. Methods: A fixed effects model in panel analysis was performed for the 228 administrative districts in Korea. The statistical yearbook on the usage of medical services by region and Korean Statistical Information Service data were used from 2010 to 2019 for analysis. Medical service utilization was represented by the number of visits day, the number of inpatient days, and medical charges. Control variables were selected by using an Anderson model. The local extinction index was calculated using resident registration population data. Results: Descriptive statistics showed that the number of areas at risk of extinction increased from 61 to 95 for the study years. In addition, the number of visits, the number of inpatient days, and medical charges all increased during the study years. After controlling for variables affecting medical service utilization and doing a panel fixed effects model, the result suggested that a one-step increase in the local extinction index was significantly associated with a 12.29% decrease in medical charges of inpatients, a 7.33% decrease in medical charge of outpatient, a 5.21% decrease in the number of inpatient day, and a 5.54% decrease in the number of visits day. Conclusion: This study showed that the higher the region's extinction risks, the higher the region's total medical service utilization. The results of this study suggested that there was a disparity in medical service utilization between areas at risk of extinction and areas not at risk of extinction, so measures should be taken to address this disparity.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to assess the clinical application of a bar code medication administration and blood transfusion system and to identify its effects from the aspect of patient safety and nurse satisfaction in a tertiary hospital. Methods: The system in this study was PDA with bar code reading capability and wireless networking function. The logs created during application of the system and administration error reports were analyzed. For nurses' satisfaction with the system, data were collected from 337 nurses using the instrument developed by Otieno et al. and analyzed using descriptive statistics. Results: The system application rate was 98.8%, and the main failure cases in the system application included bar code or network related factors. When the system was applied, 0.02% of errors were prevented. The nurses were satisfied with the system from the aspect of patient safety, however relatively less satisfied with the system from the aspect of work efficiency. Conclusion: The results of the study indicate the usefulness for patient safety of applying the bar code medication administration and blood transfusion system to clinical practice. However technological improvements including bar code and network communication are necessary to ensure higher work efficiency in nursing practice.
The medical industry is rapidly evolving into a combination of artificial intelligence (AI) and ICT technology, such as mobile health, wireless medical, telemedicine and precision medical care. Medical artificial intelligence can be diagnosed and treated, and autonomous surgical robots can be operated. For smart medical services, data such as medical information and personal medical information are needed. AI is being developed to integrate with companies such as Google, Facebook, IBM and others in the health care field. Telemedicine services are also becoming available. However, security issues of medical information for smart medical industry are becoming important. It can have a devastating impact on life through hacking of medical devices through vulnerable areas. Research on medical information is proceeding on the necessity of privacy and privacy protection. However, there is a lack of research on the practical measures for protecting medical information and the seriousness of security threats. Therefore, in this study, we want to confirm the research trend by collecting data related to medical information in recent 5 years. In this study, smart medical related papers from 2014 to 2018 were collected using smart medical topics, and the medical information papers were rearranged based on this. Research trend analysis uses topic modeling technique for topic information. The result constructs topic network based on relation of topics and grasps main trend through topic.

Based on the basic ideology of health care, this study realized the seriousness of annual unmet medical need and conducted a study to confirm the relationship between the subjective perception of regional healthcare environment and unmet medical needs. The independent variable was classified into attitude 'satisfaction' and 'unsatisfaction' toward regional healthcare, and the dependent variable was classified as whether unmet medical needs occurred annually. Based on previous studies, the control variables were selected as demographic and socioeconomic characteristics that can affect the occurrence of unmet medical care annually and characteristics related to health behavior. Descriptive statistics were conducted for each variable on the extracted sample, and multivariate survey logistic regression analysis was conducted to confirm the association between variables. As a result, more unmet medical needs occurred annually than those who were satisfied with the medical services in the area where they lived. In addition, more unmet medical need occurred annually in "unsatisfied" households compared to households "satisfied" with local medical services. In residential areas, women live in "metropolis" and "rural areas" compared to "urban," women live in men, lower education levels, and poor subjective health levels, and less satisfied with local medical services. As such, the impact of environmental factors in the community on the use of health and medical services is one of the major areas of interest in the field of health science, such as health policy and social dynamics. Therefore, hospitals in each region need to make efforts in terms of hospital management to increase the overall satisfaction of medical services in the region by continuously monitoring the attitude of residents to achieve universal health security, and policymakers should also be interested and propose new policies.
