This research aims to investigate the relationship between safety climate and safety perception and safety behavior. Safety perception of the relationship is considered to have a mediating effect. Previous literature has tended to regard safety perception as an independent variable at the same level as the safety climate, which can be said to depend on behavioralism to approach the causal relationship to an one-way perspective. The survey was administrated through full- service carries in Korea such as Korean Air and Asiana Airlines, and low-cost carriers such as JeJu air, Jin air, and Air Pusan. It can identify a mediator of safety perception between safety climate and safety behavior. There are significant indirect effects of each value, which means mediators values of safety perception of safety climate variables and safety behavior. The study highlights that airlines should focus on the importance of their psychological aspects to strengthen the safety behavior of flight attendants and the value of organizational efforts to mature safety perceptions, suggesting some implications of theoretical and practical aspects.
Companies are increasingly performing corporate social responsibility (CSR) as part of their strategic plans, but the effect of CSR activities on short-term financial performance is disputed. Researchers have found ambiguous relationships through mediating factors, but few studies have investigated internal stakeholders in this context and the firm characteristics that moderate these relationships. This study uses a competitive mediating model that examines job satisfaction as a mediator in the relationship between CSR and short-term financial performance for Korean companies. For the analysis, data from 195 companies covering 2014 to 2017 were collected and analyzed via panel regression. The findings indicate that CSR activities had a negative effect on short-term financial performance but a positive effect on job satisfaction; however, the larger the firm, the smaller the positive effect of CSR activities. Moreover, job satisfaction positively affects short-term financial performance, and this relationship is stronger in service firms.

This study aims to examine factors influencing the intention to continue using the metaverse, focusing on the impact of social norms. Specifically, direct and indirect effects of technical characteristics (perceive quality, interactivity, perceived playfulness), user characteristics (self-efficacy, personal innovativeness), and social influence factors (descriptive norm, injunctive norm, subjective norm) on continuous use intention were examined. The role of perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness as a mediator was also examined. An online survey was conducted with 165 college students attending universities in two large cities in South Korea who had used the metaverse. As a result, perceived playfulness, descriptive norm, and perceived usefulness directly influenced continuous use intention. Perceived playfulness, interactivity, and subjective norm influenced continuous use intention indirectly through perceived usefulness. This study theoretically extends the Technology Acceptance Model by specifying social influence in metaverse contexts. Practical implications are provided in terms of marketing strategy for the metaverse industry to continue to grow and develop.
The study aimed to analyze jay-customer behavior's impact on service industry employees' job stress to understand the importance of personnel management. Additionally, it aimed to identify strategies for managing job stress by examining perceived organizational support's moderating effects. The results show that the subdimensions of jay-customer behavior (i.e., verbal aggression, physical aggression, and sexual harassment) positively influenced employees' job stress. Second, job stress acts as a mediator between customer verbal and physical aggression and customer orientation, but not between customer sexual harassment and customer orientation. Third, organizational support had a moderating effect on the association between customer verbal aggression and job stress. This study demonstrates how jay-customer behavior negatively affects employees and threatens their well-being. It not only enriches the research on jay-customer behavior but also provides implications for service companies toward developing internal marketing strategies for enhancing employee happiness and fostering customer orientation.

This research studies NPCs applied by Generative Pre-trained Transformer (GPT) Technology. This study set three independent variables as characteristics of the NPCs applied GPT. User immersion is set as a mediator variable, while user game satisfaction and loyalty are chosen as dependent variables. The Stimulus-Organism-Response (SOR) theory is employed to study user attitude changes, and immersion is examined through the Flow Theory. The study found that interactions between NPCs and users directly and indirectly influence user satisfaction and loyalty. This suggests that NPCs capable of providing users with desired information, rather than merely following predetermined protocols, can enhance the user's affinity for the game. Furthermore, the intelligence and human-likeness of NPCs were found to indirectly influence satisfaction and loyalty through immersion. These findings underscore the importance of GPT-applied NPCs in the gaming industry, with potential implications for the future development and enhancement of such NPCs within games.
Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the proper wavelengths for safe levels of light-emitting diode (LED) irradiation with bactericidal and photobiomodulation effects in vitro. Methods: Cell viability tests of fibroblasts and osteoblasts after LED irradiation at 470, 525, 590, 630, and 850 nm were performed using the thiazolyl blue tetrazolium bromide assay. The bactericidal effect of 470-nm LED irradiation was analyzed with Streptococcus gordonii, Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans, Fusobacterium nucleatum, Porphyromonas gingivalis, and Tannerella forsythia. Levels of nitric oxide, a proinflammatory mediator, were measured to identify the anti-inflammatory effect of LED irradiation on lipopolysaccharide-stimulated inflammation in RAW 264.7 macrophages. Results: LED irradiation at wavelengths of 470, 525, 590, 630, and 850 nm showed no cytotoxic effect on fibroblasts and osteoblasts. LED irradiation at 630 and 850 nm led to fibroblast proliferation compared to no LED irradiation. LED irradiation at 470 nm resulted in bactericidal effects on S. gordonii, A. actinomycetemcomitans, F. nucleatum, P. gingivalis, and T. forsythia. Lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced RAW 264.7 inflammation was reduced by irradiation with 525-nm LED before LPS treatment and irradiation with 630-nm LED after LPS treatment; however, the effects were limited. Conclusions: LED irradiation at 470 nm showed bactericidal effects, while LED irradiation at 525 and 630 nm showed preventive and treatment effects on LPS-induced RAW 264.7 inflammation. The application of LED irradiation has potential as an adjuvant in periodontal therapy, although further investigations should be performed in vivo.
This study was conducted to explore the mediation effects of irrational belief on the relationship between game addiction and anger behavior. For this study, 431 middle school boys in Chungcheong areas were included in the analysis. The results showed that game addiction was positively correlated with direct anger-out, rumination, diffusion as well as irrational belief. The boys at high risk of game addiction showed higher mean scores on irrational belief, direct anger-out, rumination: and diffusion than other students. Irrational belief (mediator) partially mediated the influence of the boys' game addiction (independent variable) on direct anger-out, rumination, and diffusion (dependent variable). Finally, limitations of this study and suggestions for future study were discussed.
In the field of osteoporosis, there has been growing interest in anabolic agents that enhance bone formation. The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of NNMBS 246 osteoblastic differentiation with associated signaling pathways. NNMBS 246 markedly increased alkaline phosphatase (ALP) activity and calcium nodule formation. Stimulation with NNMBS 246 not only increased the differentiation markers (ALP, OPN, OCN) level and transcription markers (RUNX2, Osterix) mRNA expression but also upregulated the ECM molecules and OPG mRNA expression. Treatments of NNMBS 246 downregulated MMPs (MMP-1, MMP-2, MMP-9), but RANKL mRNA expression. Furthermore, NNMBS 246 activated osteoblastic differentiation markers and formed calcium nodules in human periodontal ligament cells (hPDLCs) and cementoblast cells. NNMBS 246 induced phosphorylation of MAPKs, Akt, nuclear p65 and IkB-${\alpha}$. BMP-2/Smad and ${\beta}$-catenin signaling pathways were activated by NNMBS 246. Sirtinol (SIRT1 inhibitor) inhibited NNMBS 246-induced osteoblastic differentiation markers mRNA expression. These results suggested that NNMBS 246 has the potential to enhance osteoblastogenesis probably through the activation of BMP/Smad and ${\beta}$-catenin signal pathways, and SIRT1 plays as critical mediator in bone anabolic effect of NNMBS 246.
Purpose: This study was to determine the mediator or moderator role of social support in the relationship between stress and depression among family caregivers of older adults with dementia. Method: Sixty nine family caregivers were randomly selected from health care centers in P city and a face-to-face interview was conducted using questionnaires from January to May of 2002. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, and hierarchical multiple regression using SPSS program. Result: Family caregivers of older adults with higher dependency in ADLs and higher problematic behaviors, provided care to the older adults for a longer period of time, and perceived less social support reported higher depression. Social support showed mediating effects between stress and depression, while did not show moderating effects. Elderly dependency on ADLs and caregiving duration decreased perceived social support and decreased social support increased depression. Conclusion: To increase family and social support to the caregivers of more functionally impaired elderly, family education to increase emotional support and physical assistance to the caregivers and broader and flexible application of social support such as increasing accessibility to the elderly daycare service with lower price may prove beneficial.
Purpose: This study the mediating effects of marital intimacy the relationship between depression and marital satisfaction of infertile women. Methods: 165 infertile women visiting a hospital in Gyeonggi-do and Busan, Korea from January 2016 to April 2016. The data was analyzed the SPSS WIN 22.0 program. Results: Depression, marital satisfaction, and marital intimacy averaged $1.51{\pm}.32$ (range of scale 0~3), $3.50{\pm}.56$ (range of scale 1~5), and $3.74{\pm}.65$ (range of scale 1~5), respectively. Depression had a negative correlation with marital satisfaction (r=-.361, p<.001) and marital intimacy(r=-.183, p<.001). Marital intimacy also had a positive correlation with marital satisfaction (r=.637, p<.001). Marital intimacy partial mediating effects between depression and marital satisfaction (${\beta}=.591$, p<.001). Conclusion: the intimacy of couple can alleviate the causal consequences that lead to a decrease in the marital satisfaction due to depression. Therefore, healthcare providers for infertile women should screen depressed women and help support infertile women from negative values for marriage depression. In addition, it is necessary to include interventions for maintaining and enhancing the intimacy of couples during infertility treatment.
