대학신입생의 정서표현성과 발표불안 관계에서 긍정적사고의 매개효과 (Positive Thinking as a Mediator of the Relationship between Emotional Expressivity and Public Speaking Anxiety of University Freshmen's)

  • 본 연구는 대학신입생의 정서표현성과 발표불안의 관계에서 긍정적사고의 매개효과를 탐색하는 서술적 조사연구이다. 본 연구의 대상자는 광주광역시 일개대학의 신입생 146명을 편의추출하였다. 자료분석은 SPSS WIN 23.0 version을 이용하여 Baron과 Kenny의 3단계 매개효과 검증절차와 Sobel test를 이용하였다. 정서표현성과 발표불안에서 긍정적사고의 매개효과가 있는지 살펴본 결과 2단계에서는 정서표현성이 발표불안에 유의한 영향을 미쳤으며, 3단계에서는 정서표현이 발표불안에 통계적으로 유의하지 않았고 긍정사고는 발표불안에 통계적으로 유의하였다. 따라서 긍정적사고는 정서표현성과 발표불안의 관계를 완전매개하였다. 매개효과의 유의성은 Sobel test를 이용하여 검증한 결과 유의하였다(z=-4.57, p<.001). 대학신입생의 발표불안을 감소시키기 위해서는 긍정적사고를 증진할 수 있는 중재 프로그램 개발이 필요하다.

사회활동과 성공적 노화의 관계에서 노화불안의 매개효과와 사회적지지의 조절효과 (In the Relationship between Social Activities and Successful Aging Mediating Effect of Aging Anxiety and Moderating Effect of Social Support)

  • 본 연구는 사회활동과 성공적 노화의 관계에서 노화불안의 매개효과와 노화불안과 성공적 노화의 관계에서 사회적지지의 조절효과를 분석하여 사회활동을 통한 성공적 노화 방안을 모색하기 위함이다. 조사대상은 경기도 거주 만60세 이상 고령자이며 총513명이 설문에 참여했고 이 중 450부를 분석에 사용했다. 분석은 회귀분석을 활용한 매개효과 및 조절효과 검증을 사용하였다. 분석결과, 사회활동은 노화불안을 낮추고 성공적 노화 향상에 도움이 되며, 노화불안은 사회활동과 성공적 노화의 관계에서 매개효과를 보이고, 노화불안과 성공적 노화의 관계에서 사회적지지의 조절효과를 확인했다. 이를 바탕으로, 사회활동 제공기관들은 사회활동 프로그램을 다양화하되 노화불안 완화 효과를 거둘 수 있도록 사업 체계를 개편하고, 참여자끼리 상호지지 체계를 구성하여 사회활동을 통한 성공적 노화가 더욱 효과를 거둘 수 있도록 관리될 필요가 있음을 제안하였다.

학령기 아동의 애착안정성, 사회불안 및 우울의 관계: 자기유능감의 매개 효과 (Relationship of Attachment Security, to Social Anxiety, and Depression in School-aged Children: The Mediating Effect of Self Competency)

  • Purpose: This descriptive correlational study was designed to examine the relationship of attachment security to social anxiety and depression. In addition, the mediating effect of self competency in relation to attachment security and the other variables was investigated. Methods: Data were collected from 194 students in grade 5 or 6, and descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficient, and hierachical multiple regression were used with SPSS/PC 12.0 program to analyze the data. The instruments used were Kerns, Klepac and Cole's Security Scale, La Greca & Stones' Revised Social Anxiety Scales for children (SASC-R), Cho and Lee's Korean form of Kovacs' children's Depression Inventory (CDI) and Harter' Self-perception Profile for Children. Results: There were significantly negative effects between attachment security and the variables, social anxiety and depression. Also, self competency was negatively correlated with social anxiety and depression. Self competency had a significant mediating effect on the relation of social anxiety and depression to attachment security. Conclusion: For the effective management and prevention of social anxiety and depression in school-aged children, programs including strategies to increase self competency should be developed. These programs can increase self competency which has a mediator role between attachment security and the other variables (social anxiety and depression).

우울과 불안 증상이 자살에 미치는 영향에서의 울분의 매개효과 (A Mediating Effect of Embitterment on the Effects of Anxiety & Depressive Symptoms on Suicide in Patients with Depressive and Anxiety Disorders)

  • Objective : Previous studies have shown that depression, anxiety and embitterment are highly related to suicide. This study aims to investigate the mediating effect of embitterment between depression, anxiety and suicide. Methods : A total of 174 participants with depressive and anxiety disorders were evaluated with STAI-S, STAI-T, PHQ-9, PTED scale, SSI and suicide attempt history. A mediation analysis using bootstrapping was utilized in order to estimate the indirect effects of depression and anxiety on suicide through embitterment. Results : Embitterment significantly mediated the relationship between depression and suicidal ideation [b=0.291, 95% CI(0.18, 0.40)], and also it mediated the relationship between depression and suicide attempt [b=0.066, 95% CI(0.02, 0.16)]. Although a direct effect of anxiety on suicide attempt was not significant, but embitterment significantly mediated the relationship between anxiety and suicide attempt Conclusion : This suggests that embitterment may be a significant important factor to consider in the relationship between depression, anxiety and suicide. Understanding the mediating role of embitterment on suicide may helpful to prevent suicide.

일반청소년과 학교폭력 가해청소년의 불안이 폭력행동에 미치는 영향에 대한 분노표현양식의 매개효과 (Mediating Effects of Anger Expression Types for Anxiety on the Violent Behaviors of Adolescent School Violence Offenders and General Adolescents)

  • The purpose of this study is to validate the mediating effects of anger expression types for anxiety on the violent behaviors of adolescent school violence offenders. For the purpose of this study, 114 adolescent school violence offenders and 178 general youths were selected. Through the structural equation model, the mediating effects of anger expression types that are manifested in the path of violent acts of adolescent school violence offenders and general youths are verified. The major findings of this study are as follows. First, for both groups, the same path of violent behavior through anger-in and anger-out was followed: youths repress anger when they have higher anxiety, and when too much anger is repressed, anger-out increases, which results in more violent behaviors. Second, the level of anxiety of adolescent school violence offenders has direct effect on the responsive violent behaviors while the level of anxiety of general youths does not have direct effect on violent behaviors. Third, although the anxiety of adolescent school violence offenders may increase violent behaviors through the paths of acting-in and acting-out, violent behaviors can be reduced by reducing anger-out. Therefore, to reduce the violent behaviors of adolescent school violence offenders, intervention is needed for those who repress their anger due to anxiety; professional education is also required for adolescent school violence offenders to help them control their anger.

대학생 집단에서의 불안증상 차원과 아동기 외상 종류의 특이 관련성 및 회복탄력성의 매개효과 (Specific Relationships Between Anxiety Symptom Dimensions and Types of Childhood Trauma and Mediating Effects of Resilience in a Sample of College Students)

  • Objective : Childhood trauma is a risk factor for and resilience is a protective factor against later affective symptoms. The current study aimed to explore the relation between childhood trauma and anxiety symptoms and the mediating effect of resilience in a sample of college students. Methods : Data from 238 subjects who completed the Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI), the Childhood Trauma Questionnaire (CTQ) and the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC) were analyzed. Predictors for BAI score and factor analyzed anxiety symptom dimensions were examined using regression models. Path analytic models were applied to test the mediating effect of the CD-RICS score on BAI score. Results : The CTQ score was significantly associated with the BAI score and the mediating effect of CD-RISC was significant as well. The cognitive dimension of anxiety was related to emotional abuse while the somatic dimension of anxiety to physical neglect. The CD-RISC score did not mediate those relations between anxiety dimensions and individual types of childhood trauma. Conclusion : Our data suggest that childhood trauma contributes to adult anxiety symptoms. There may be specific relations between types of childhood trauma and anxiety symptoms dimensions.

일개 전자제품 제조업 근로자에서 교대근무와 불안증상: 비타민 D와 수면의 질의 매개효과 (Shift Work and Anxiety Symptoms at an Electronic Manufacture Company: The mediating effect of vitamin D and sleep quality)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to compare vitamin D levels, sleep quality, and anxiety symptoms between shift workers and daytime workers and analyze the mediating effect of vitamin D and sleep quality between shift work and anxiety symptoms. Methods: The subjects of the study were 6744 people who received a medical examination while working for an electronics manufacturing company in 2016. We evaluated their shift work, vitamin D levels, sleep quality, and anxiety symptoms with blood samples and questionnaires. Chi-square test, t-test and path statistical analysis were performed. Results: The shift workers had significantly higher symptoms of anxiety than the day workers, significantly lower levels of vitamin D in the blood, and significantly poorer quality of sleep. The results of the pathway analysis confirmed that blood vitamin D and sleep quality had a mediating effect between shift work and anxiety symptoms. Conclusions: Shift workers should be constantly paying attention to mental health effects such as anxiety symptoms. Shift workers should also be alerted of the risk of vitamin D deficiency, encouraged about sun exposure and vitamin D intake, and required to undergo training and counseling on sleep hygiene.

The mediating effects of post-pandemic health promotion behaviors in the relationship between anxiety and quality of life in young adults in South Korea: a cross-sectional study

  • Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the mediating effects of health promotion behavior (HPB) in the relationship between anxiety and quality of life (QoL) in young adults living in the post-pandemic era. Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive online survey design was utilized. Data on anxiety, QoL, HPB, and demographic characteristics were collected from 213 adults aged 19-35 years in Korea via an online survey in January 2024. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 27.0 and PROCESS MACRO 4.2 software. Results: Strong correlations were observed among anxiety, QoL, and post-pandemic HPB (PP-HPB) in young adults, and anxiety and PP-HPB were identified as significant predictors of QoL. The total effect of anxiety on QoL was significant (B = -1.40, bootstrapped SE = 0.10), with both the direct effect (B = -0.70, bootstrapped SE = 0.09) and the indirect effect (B = -0.70, bootstrapped SE = 0.11) being significant. This suggests that PP-HPB partially mediated the relationship between anxiety and QoL. Conclusion: This study highlights the importance of strengthening HPB with consideration of life changes since the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic to improve QoL among young adults with anxiety.

청소년의 내현적 자기애가 학교생활적응에 미치는 영향: 사회불안과 학업적 자기효능감의 매개효과 (The Relationship Between Covert Narcissism and School Life Adaptation in Adolescents : The Mediating Effects of Social Anxiety and Academic Self-Efficacy)

  • 본 연구는 청소년의 내현적 자기애 성향과 학교생활적응의 관계에서 사회불안과 학업적 자기효능감의 매개효과를 검증하기 위해 수행되었다. 연구 대상자는 중 고등학교에 재학 중인 청소년 423명이었다. 연구결과, 첫째, 내현적 자기애 성향은 학교생활적응과 유의한 부적상관이(r=-.51, p<.01) 있었으며 내현적 자기애는 사회불안과 유의한 정적상관이(r=.70, p<.01), 학업적 자기효능감과는 유의한 부적상관이(r=-.39, p<.01) 있었다. 사회불안은 학교생활적응과 유의한 부적상관이(r=-.50, p<.01), 학업적 자기효능감은 학교생활적응과 유의한 정적상관이(r=.63, p<.01) 있었으며 사회불안은 학업적 자기효능감과 유의한 부적상관이(r=-.51, p<.01) 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 사회불안과 학업적 자기효능감의 매개효과를 검증한 결과, 학업적 자기효능감이 내현적 자기애와 학교생활적응의 관계에서 매개효과를 가졌으며(${\beta}=.41$, p<.001) 사회불안은 학교생활적응에 매개효과를 가지지 않는 것으로 나타났다(${\beta}=-.05$, p<.001). 본 연구 결과는 내현적 자기애 성향의 청소년이 학교생활적응에 어려움을 겪는 경우 학업적 자기효능감, 특히 자기조절 효능감과 자신감을 높여주는 것이 학교생활적응에 도움을 줄 수 있음을 시사한다.

대학생의 애착과 주관적 안녕감과의 관계: 대인관계 매개효과를 중심으로 (A Study on the Relationship between Attachment and Subjective Well-Being: Focusing on Mediating Effects of Interpersonal Relationship)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the mediating effect of interpersonal relationship on the relationship between attachment and subjective well-being of university students. We conducted a survey on 336 university students in Andong-si and Cheongju-si. The data were analyzed by Pearson's productive correlation, hierarchical regression analysis and Sobel test. The results were as follows: First, affective well-being made an effect by avoidant attachment and anxiety attachment, and was more affected by interpersonal relationship than anxiety attachment including mediating variable of interpersonal relationship. Second, there was a significant effect in cognitive well-being only by anxiety attachment. Including mediating variables of interpersonal relationship, cognitive well-being affected by interpersonal relationship only. Third, interpersonal relationship mediated partially the relationship between attachment and affective well-being, and perfectly between attachment and cognitive well-being.
