Methods: The participants were 318 out-of-school adolescents, with data taken from the 5th out-of-school youth panel survey (2017). The data were analyzed using hierarchical multiple linear regression with the IBM SPSS statistics 24.0 program. In addition, bootstrapping was used to verify the mediating effects. Results: Stigma was positively correlated with depression and self-esteem and ego-resiliency were negatively correlated with depression respectively. Also, self-esteem and ego-resiliency had a partial mediating effect on the relationship between social stigma and depression. Conclusion: The findings indicate that self-esteem and ego-resiliency are important factors related to depression in out-of-school adolescents. It is also expected that self-esteem and ego-resiliency can further decrease depression in out-of-school adolescents.

  • Due to the awareness for the importance of social capital, many researches have investigated that social capital contributes to the successful implementation of product innovation. Although most researchers tried to model the effect of social capital on product innovation as a linear relation, we consider it too simplistic and fuzzy because knowledge utilization which ultimately leads to product innovation should exist in the relationship between social capital and product innovation. Using 107 survey data, this study found there is a partial mediating effect of knowledge utilization on the link between structure aspect of social capital and product innovation (i.e., new product development and improvement in existing products). Next, this study reported knowledge utilization does act as a perfect mediating variable on the link between awareness aspect of social capital and improvement of existing products, but act as a partial mediating variable on the link between awareness aspect of social capital and new product development. Finally, this study found that knowledge utilization does not act as a mediating variable on the link between relation aspect of social capita and product innovation.

  • The relationship between corporate board attributes and dividend payout is already established yet mediating role of leverage in not been examined in Malaysian market. Therefore, this study aims to examine the mediating effect of financial leverage on the relationship between corporate board attributes and the dividend pay-out policy. A sample of 203 non-financial firms listed on the BURSA Malaysia between 2005 and 2018 were analysed using SmartPLS 3.0. The findings show that there is a partial mediating effect of financial leverage on the relationship between board members age, board diversity and dividend pay-out policy. Financial leverage also mediates the relationship between number of women on board, CEO-duality and dividend pay-out policy. However, financial leverage doesn't mediate the relationship between board size and dividend pay-out policy. This study offers insights to policy-makers to develop a better corporate governance as well as a guidance to firms in the construction and implementation of their corporate governance policies in relation to financial leverage. This study also shed light on the influence of efficient corporate board attributes on dividend pay-out policy and financial leverage for firm growth. This study concludes that corporate board attributes impact capital structure and thus, firms may change its payout policy.

Results - Three hypotheses regarding relationships between customer participation, psychological ownership, and customer loyalty were supported at the significance level of 0.001. The hypothesis regarding a mediating role of psychological ownership between customer participation and customer loyalty was supported by Sobel test. Conclusions - Customer participation positively affects psychological ownership and customer loyalty. Psychological ownership positively affects customer loyalty. Psychological ownership plays a mediating role in the relationship between customer ownership and loyalty. This study contributes to finding the missing link between customer participation and customer loyalty. The research model can be applied to various retail services. Some implications for academics and practitioners were suggested.

Methods: The subjects of the study were 174 nurses who had worked in a pediatric ward in a university hospital, general hospital, or children's hospital. Data were collected from June 20, 2016 to August 10, 2016 and analysed using descriptive statistics, the t-test, analysis of variance, the Pearson correlation coefficient, and three-step mediated regression analysis in SPSS version 22.0 for Windows. Results: The nurse-parent partnership had significant effects on clinical decision-making and job satisfaction, with an explanatory power of 19% and 26%, respectively. The nurse-parent partnership had a partial mediating effect on the relationship between clinical decision-making and job satisfaction (Sobel test: Z=4.31, p<.001). Conclusion: The nurse-parent partnership had a partial mediating effect on the relationship between clinical decision-making and job satisfaction among pediatric nurses. Therefore, in order to improve the job satisfaction of pediatric nurses, it is necessary to develop effective educational programs and strategies to address their clinical decision-making and their experiences of the nurse-parent partnership.

Negative emotion had indirect effects on depression through emotional venting via IM and positive emotion. Both emotional venting via IM and positive emotion had dual mediating effects in the influence of negative emotion on depression. Conclusion: These results suggest that it is important to manage negative emotion to prevent depression. Also, this study confirmed that emotional venting via IM is a powerful factor influencing emotional recovery.
