A Case of Soyangin Double Primary Cancer Patient with Adverse Reactions induced by Contrast Media (조영제로 과민성 발진이 유발된 소양인 암환자 치험 1례)

  • Objectives Adverse reactions can becaused by contrast media used in computed tomography. The aim of this study was to report the improvement of allergic response caused by contrast media after treatment with Modified Hyeongbangpaedok-san, histamine antagonists and steroids. Methods We retrospectively reviewed the medical records. The patient's subjective symptoms such as rash and pruritus were evaluated by the range of rash and numeric rating scale(NPS). Results All symptoms showed nearly complete remission with continued Korean traditional medical treatment. Conclusions A female patient had been injected with contrast media for Computed tomography(CT) evaluation of lung cancer. Rash and pruritus appeared 1 day after injection. We prescribed Modified Hyeongbangpaedok-san. Patients were treated with both Korean medicine and Western medicine. Consequently, the symtoms were improved significantly after combination treatment of Korean medicine and Western medicine.

  • Ionic liquids (ILs) are the ionic salts pertaining to liquid-state at lower temperature than $100^{\circ}C$. ILs have attracted attention as new media because of their peculiar chemical, physical or electrical properties such as low volatility, nonflammability, liquid-phase stability at high temperature, high ability in solvating organic, inorganic or polymeric materials, and high ionic conductivity. Since the properties can be modified by assembling the pair using various anions and cations, ILs are often called designer solvents. In addition, ILs have been expected as new green media to replace the volatile organic solvents, which have been widely used in chemical, energy, material, and electronic industries, as well as to enhance the reaction activity and selectivity. In this review paper, the structures, properties, applications, and technology trend of ILS are introduced.

A Comparative Study for Grinding Media Behavior and DEM Simulation at Actual Grinding Zone on a Traditional Ball Mill (매체형 전동밀의 실제 분쇄장에서 분쇄매체의 거동과 DEM 시뮬레이션의 비교연구)

  • This study was performed the real motion and DEM simulation of ball motion using three different types of grinding media with different size and materials in media formation for optimization of process conditions in a traditional ball mill (media ball mill). In the simulation, the rotational speed of the mill, the material of the medium, the velocity of the medium, and the coefficient of friction between the media and the wall of pot were fixed into the actual experimental conditions. The motion of various kinds of grinding media was quantitatively measured by setting the grinding zone defined in the present study on the photographs taken and the snapshot images analyzed in the simulation. In addition, we observed the quantitatively measured value and the changed morphology of the sample and examined the correlation. Therefore, it is suggested to optimize the grinding media which has the greatest influence on the grinding zone under specific experimental conditions.

  • Virtual Reality simulation enables immersive 3D experience of a Virtual Environment. A simulation-based VE can be used to map real world phenomena into virtual experience. This research studies on the use of Newton's physics law to demonstrate the effects of forces upon object's falling movement, and their effects towards other fallible objects. A reconfigurable simulation enables users to reconfigure the parameters of the objects involved in the simulation, so that they can see different effects from the different configurations, such as force magnitude and distance between objects. This concept is suitable for a classroom learning of physics law. Preliminary implementation is done on a PC with a joystick for 4DOF movement. The graphics is implemented by SGI OpenGL Performer. A middleware called NAVERLib that consists of Performer's modules for easy XML-based configuration is used for management of visualization, network and devices connection, and where the engine of this domino simulation is attached.

  • IEEE 802.15.3 is wireless Medium Access Control(MAC) and Physical Layer(PHY) specification for high rate WPAN (Wireless Personal Area Network). IEEE 802.15.3 MAC Layer provides Qos with three kinds of acknowledgements; No acknowledgement, Immediate acknowledgement, and Delayed acknowledgement. This paper presents how to improve QoS with new acknowledgement method called Delayed Negative acknowledgement. This paper describes the method of using Delayed Negative acknowledgement and presents the calculation of QoS improvement by using Delayed Negative acknowledgement.

  • 정보 가전 분야에 있어서 급속한 기술 발전으로 인해 하루가 다르게 새로운 기능이 추가됨에 따라 임베디드 시스템 소프트웨어의 크기 및 복잡도 또한 함께 증가하고 있고 이를 개발하고 유지보수 하는데 있어서도 막대한 비용과 노력이 요구된다. 이를 해결하기 위한 방안으로 소프트웨어의 재사용성을 높이기 위한 노력이 이어지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 프로세스 방식 기반의 OS를 적용한 소프트웨어를 스레드 방식의 OS 기반의 소프트웨어로 전환하여 임베디드 시스템을 구현하였으며 소프트웨어 방법론으로는 스레드 방식의 OS 기반 소프트웨어에 수정된 DARTS(Design Approach to Real- Time Systems) 방법론을 적용하여 시스템을 구현하였다. 이 구현된 시스템에서 재사용성을 측정하여 표로 제시하며 그 측정 결과를 분석하였다. 그리고 스레드 방식의 OS 기반 소프트웨어에 수정된 DARTS 방법론을 적응하여 코드만 재사용이 아니라 설계방법도 재사용이 가능함을 CE 제품에 보이고자 한다.

  • CE 제품에 리얼타임 OS를 도입하면서, 제품의 조건을 만족시키기 위한 기술에 대해 많은 연구가 진행되고 있다. 특히, CE 제품에 있어서 중요한 이슈인 부팅 시간은 펌웨어수준과 비교했을 때 코드사이즈나 OS 초기화 과정 때문에 다소 느려지는 경향을 보이고 있다. 본 논문은 이러한 CE 제품의 부팅 시간에 초점을 맞추고 리얼타임 OS 적용시의 부팅 시간을 개선하였다. 구현에 사용된 ARM920T Core는 32-비트 RISC 구조이며, 각 16KB의 인스트럭션 Cache와 데이터 Cache, 그리고 MMU(Memory Management Unit)로 구성되어 있으며, 리얼타임 OS는 선점형 방식의 커널로 구성된 OS를 사용하였다.

Tangible Cooperation in Shared Virtual Environment

  • Recent advanced technologies enable multiple users to share the virtual environment and work together as they are collocated. Additional sensory information such as haptic could improve the cooperation. In this paper, we propose a server-client architecture with multi-rate haptic control to support a tangible cooperation. Using our approach, the system is able to maintain a consistent simulation state across multiple users as well as to provide a highfidelity stable haptic interaction. To verify our approach, we have developed an experimental application and tested the cooperation among multiple users. The results confirm that our system is able to provide coherency among clients as well as haptic transparency.

  • 본 논문에서는 텔레비전 수신기에서 채널 변경에 따른 음량 자동 보정 방법에 대해서 기술하고자 한다. 지금까지 텔레비전 수상기에서는 사용자가 방송 채널을 전환하는 경우 각 방송 채널마다 음량 레벨이 조금씩 다르다는 것을 느끼게 된다. 그러므로 이러한 채널 변경에 따른 음량 변화를 조정하기 위해 청취자가 리모컨으로 볼률을 조절하는 불편함을 줄이기 위해 자동으로 음량 변화를 보정하는 것이 요구된다. 본 논문은 채널 변경에 따른 음량 변화와 Dynamic Range 가 너무 큰 오디오 신호에 대해 자동으로 음량을 보정함으로써 청취자가 볼륨을 조절하는 불편함을 줄이는 자동 음량 보정 알고리즘을 제안하였다.
