잉크젯 입력 파형의 파라미터와 토출 속도의 관계 (Relationship between Ink Jetting Speed and Inkjet input Waveform Parameters)

  • Inkjet printing makes use of ink droplets to form required patterns on a substrate. In order for the inkjet technology to produce reliable patterning tools, the jetting performance needs be controlled precisely. For controlling ink jetting performance, input waveform should be properly designed. In the past, the research was focused on designing dwell time of the input waveform for controlling jetting speed. However, the jetting performance is also closely related to rising and falling time. In this study, the effect of the rising and falling time on droplet speed will be investigated by measuring the droplet speed. In this study, the power OP amp (PA98A) was used in order to drive piezo inkjet head by amplifying the waveform generated from arbitrary function generator. The experimental results show that change of rising and falling time in the waveform not only affect the droplet speed but also optimal dwell time.

Effects of the Velocity Waveform of the Physiological Flow on the Hemodynamics in the Bifurcated Tube

  • The periodicity of the physiological flow has been the major interest of analytic research in this field up to now Among the mechanical forces stimulating the biochemical reaction of endothelial cells on the wall, the wall shear stresses show the strongest effect to the biochemical product. The objective of present study is to find the effects of velocity waveform on the wall shear stresses and pressure distribution along the artery and to present some correlation of the velocity waveform with the clinical observations. In order to investigate the complex flow phenomena in the bifurcated tube, constitutive equations, which are suitable to describe the rheological properties of the non-Newtonian fluids, are determined, and pulsatile momemtum equations are solved by the finite volume prediction. The results show that pressure and wall shear stresses are related to the velocity waveform of the physiological flow and the blood viscosity. And the variational tendency of the wall shear stresses along the flow direction is very similar to the applied sinusoidal and physiological velocity waveforms, but the stress values are quite different depending on the local region. Under the sinusoidal velocity waveform, a Newtonian fluid and blood show big differences in velocity. pressure, and wall shear stress as a function of time, but the differences under the physiological velocity waveform are negligibly small.

가솔린엔진의 전자제어 센서파형 측정을 통한 점화2차 파형 분석에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Secondary Waveform Analysis according to Measure of Electronic Control Waveform)

  • The test was done on cars travelling at speeds of 20km/h, 60km/h and 100km/h, the performance testing mode for chassis dynamometer. In this test, the secondary waveform were measured, including those using faulty MAP sensors, oxygen sensors and spark plugs. The results from these measurements and their analysis of secondary waveform can be summarized as follows: 1) The secondary waveform measured from the faulty oxygen sensor showed a lot of noise around peak voltage and in the rising and falling sections during spark line which means that the air fuel mixture was non-homogeneous. 2) The secondary waveform from the faulty MAP sensor showed the worst shape compared to other sensors, including variation of spark line, state of air-fuel mixture and velocity of flame front. 3) The spark line time of secondary waveform using a faulty spark plug displayed the shortest and smallest energy spark line, which means that a misfire occurred.

CRDI 디젤엔진의 피에조 인젝터 불량에 따른 파형 분석에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Waveform Analysis According to Troubles of Piezo Injector of CRDI Diesel Engine)

  • This paper investigates the relationship of voltage and current waveform between normal piezo injector and deterioration abnormal piezo injector. The experimental methods using Pico oscilloscope and GDS scan tool are employed to measure current and voltage waveform and fuel pressure of piezo injector. The experiment is carried out during no-load condition. A summary of the important results are as follows. 1) In case of normal injector, the fluctuation of duration time of piezo injector was linearly and regularly decreased with increasing engine speed, but the that of deterioration piezo injector was irregularly decreased with increasing engine speed. 2) In main injection, the peak value of the current waveform of abnormal injector was larger than that of normal injector, the duration time of deteriorated abnormal injector was less than that of normal injector at 800rpm and 1500rpm, but the duration time of deteriorated abnormal injector was larger than that of normal injector at 2000rpm and 3000rpm. This irregularity appears to be caused by the deterioration of the injector.

Microstructural Study of Creep-Fatigue Crack Propagation for Sn-3.0Ag-0.5Cu Lead-Free Solder

  • Crack propagation mechanisms of Sn-3.0Ag-0.5Cu solder were studied in strain controlled push-pull creepfatigue conditions using the fast-fast (pp) and the slow-fast (cp) strain waveforms at 313 K. Transgranular cracking was found in the pp strain waveform which led to the cycle-dominant crack propagation and intergranular cracking in the cp strain waveform that led to the time-dominant crack propagation. The time-dominant crack propagation rate was faster than the cycle-dominant crack propagation rate when compared with J-integral range which resulted from the creep damage at the crack tip in the cp strain waveform. Clear recrystallization around the crack was found in the pp and the cp strain waveforms, but the recrystallized grain size in the cp strain waveform was smaller than that in the pp strain waveform. The cycle-dominant crack propagated in the normal direction to the specimen axis macroscopically, but the time-dominant crack propagated in the shear direction which was discussed in relation with shear micro cracks formed at the crack tip.

항공기 낙뢰 시험을 위한 Component A 축소 파형 도식화 방법 (A Method of Plotting Component A Scaled Waveform for Aircraft Lightning Test)

  • 낙뢰는 짧은 시간 동안 다량의 에너지를 항공기에 전달하여 치명적인 결과를 초래할 수 있다. 특히 낙뢰는 고온의 열과 전류를 동반하여 항공기 표면 손상과 내부 전자장비에 영향을 미쳐 비행의 안전에 심각한 영향을 미칠 수 있다. 이를 분석하기 위한 낙뢰 시험에는 미항공우주원고서 SAE ARP 5412B에 규정된 최대전류 200kA인 Component A 파형이 사용된다. 하지만 실제 낙뢰 크기는 대부분 35kA 내외로 발생하며 전기체 대상으로 하는 낙뢰 간접 시험에서 내부 전자장비 손상 예방을 위해 파형을 축소하여 시험을 진행한다. 본 연구에서는 기존 Component A 축소 파형을 도식화하는 방법을 알아보고 그 한계를 분석하였다. 나아가 항공기 낙뢰 Component A 파형의 보정계수를 조절하는 방식의 신규 축소 파형 도식 방법을 제안한다. 마지막으로 전자기 해석 소프트웨어 EMA3D를 활용하여 EC-155B 헬리콥터 내부 케이블 하네스의 파형 감소비에 따른 내부 유도 전류 크기 감소비를 비교하였다.

Improvement of Maneuvering Feeling of Human-Mechanical Cooperative System and Its Application to Electric Power Steering System

  • In human-mechanical cooperative systems, a significant issue is to improve the control performance and the maneuvering feeling of human operation. However, since it is not easy to evaluate the feeling of operators numerically, control engineers design controllers only through experience. Thus, in this paper, a new evaluation method for control performance of human-mechanical cooperative system is proposed based on the reserge waveform. Various distortions of waveform represent deteriorations of control performance and maneuvering feeling. In some cases, since there is a tradeoff between the control performance and the maneuvering feeling, it is difficult to compensate for both of them by usual feedback controllers. To overcome this situation, the two degrees of freedom control system is applied to human-mechanical cooperative system. Some numerical simulation results for an electric power steering system are shown to confirm the effectiveness of proposed control design method.

혈압 파형 재현을 위한 인공 대동맥 기반 모의 순환계 로봇 (Mock Circulatory Robot with Artificial Aorta for Reproduction of Blood Pressure Waveform)

  • As the importance of cardiovascular health is highlighted, research on its correlation with blood pressure, the most important indicator, is being actively conducted. Therefore, extensive clinical data is essential, but the measurement of the central arterial blood pressure waveform must be performed invasively within the artery, so the quantity and quality are limited. This study suggested a mock circulatory robot and artificial aorta to reproduce the blood pressure waveform generated by the overlap of forward and reflected waves. The artificial aorta was fabricated with biomimetic silicone to mimic the physiological structure and vascular stiffness of the human. A pressurizing chamber was implemented to prevent distortion of the blood pressure waveform due to the strain-softening of biomimetic silicone. The reproduced central arterial blood pressure waveforms have similar magnitude, shape, and propagation characteristics to humans. In addition, changes in blood pressure waveform due to aging were also reproduced by replacing an artificial aorta with various stiffness. It can be expanded to construct a biosignal database and health sensor testing platform, a core technology for cardiovascular health-related research.

잉크젯 파형과 잉크 액적 체적의 관계 실험적 분석 (Experimental Study on the Relationship between Ink Droplet Volume and Inkjet Waveform)

  • Recently, inkjet technology has emerged as one of the most powerful tools for patterning electronics devices, such as large area display applications, RFID, PCB patterning, etc. By using the Inkjet technology, the droplet speed as well as the size can be controlled precisely. In this paper, the relationship between waveform and droplet size will be investigated by means of experiment. Also the relationship between inkjet speed and droplet size will be discussed. It was shown from experimental results that ink droplet size from the nozzle diameter of $50{\mu}m$ can be varied from 37 to $58{\mu}m$ by modifying the inkjet waveform when the speed of the droplet is 1m/sec. Finally, experimental results indicate that small drops are more difficult to generate than large drops since the jetting conditions for making small drops are sensitively affected by the dwell time variation.

파형 및 주파수해석에 근거한 굽힘 압전 복합재료 작동기 손상모드의 비파괴적 평가 (Nondestructive Evaluation of Damage Modes in a Bending Piezoelectric Composite Actuator Based on Waveform and Frequency Analyses)

  • In this study, various damage modes in bending unimorph piezoelectric composite actuators with a thin sandwiched PZT plate during bending fracture tests have been evaluated by monitoring acoustic emission (AE) signals in terms of waveform and peak frequency as well as AE parameters. Three kinds of actuator specimens consisting of woven fabric fiber skin layers and a PZT ceramic core layer are loaded with a roller and an AE activity from the specimen is monitored during the entire loading using an AE transducer mounted on the specimen. AE characteristics from a monolithic PZT ceramic with a thickness of $250{\mu}m$ are examined first in order to distinguish different AE signals from various possible damage modes in piezoelectric composite actuators. Post-failure observations and stress analyses in the respective layers of the specimens are conducted to identify particular features in the acoustic emission signal that correspond to specific types of damage modes. As a result, the signal classification based on waveform and peak frequency analyses successfully describes the failure process of the bending piezoelectric composite actuator exhibiting diverse failure mechanisms. Furthermore, it is elucidated that when the PZT ceramic embedded actuators are loaded mechanical bending loads, the failure process of actuator specimens with different lay-up configurations is almost same irrespective of their lay-up configurations.
