Contents of phytochemicals in citron (Citrus junos Sieb. ex Tanaka) seeds and their effects on antioxidant activities were investigated. Methanol extract of defatted citron seeds contained the highest amounts of total polyphenols followed by 70% ethanol and water extracts. Neohesperidin was the most predominant citrus flavanones in these extracts. The highest amounts of limonoids were found in methanol extract, and this extract was the most efficient in scavenging both DPPH and ABTS radicals. All 3 extracts also exhibited good antioxidant activities against attack of linoleate free radicals on $\beta$-carotene. When methanol extract was sequentially fractionated into ether, ethyl acetate, n-butanol, and water fractions, butanol fraction contained the highest amounts of polyphenols otherwise most of limonoids were concentrated in ethyl acetate fraction. A positive relationship between radical scavenging activities and total polyphenol contents in fractions was observed while antioxidant activity on $\beta$-carotene seemed more related with contents of limonoids and other hydrophobic polyphenols.
The linear regression method was used to model the relationship among a set of perceptions regarding to the importance of physical exercise and the perceived value of physical exercise (as a leisure activity) for aging baby boomers. In terms of a pilot study, we developed two alternative models tested at two different convenience samples. The first sample consisted of 82 aging baby boomers aged 55.65 (sample 1) and the second one consisted of 458 citizens aged 18.45 (sample 2). Through this research approach, we intended to lead to a better understanding of perceived value of physical exercise in the sporting goods marketing context for aging baby boomers. We addressed the core research themes of our study using a convenience survey. Data was collected by means of face to face interviews during the seven week period. The research results showed that the "model 2" better predicts perceived value of physical exercise as a leisure activity for aging baby boomers. We believe that the final findings of our research try can recognize the differences in buying behaviors between aging baby boomers and other target markets and advance marketers of sporting goods strategic tries regarding to consumer strategy management at a store level.
The overall focus of this study was to identify marketing and promotion strategies that can maintain and enhance environmentally friendly farm and organic production and processing activities. This is particularly important as the volume of environmentally friendly farm and organic produce that is generally available is increasing, and significant players, such as Organic Marketing Initiatives(OMI) and conventional marketing co-operatives, are becoming involved in the market. The rapid increase in production of environmentally friendly farm products and organic food is creating new and more complex challenges for marketing, from vegetable box schemes large co-operatives supplying the precise quality and volume required by supermarkets. A possible strategy for many farmers is to co-operate in regionally or nationally operating marketing initiatives. The main objective of any public relations(PR) activity should to enhance publicity and to improve an OMIs image. No promotion, no perception of OMI performance.
Purpose - The purpose of this study is to investigate the types and forms of various marketing activities actually used in pharmaceutical companies and to empirically analyze the impact of these marketing activities on sales. Design/methodology/approach - This study categorize five years' worth of marketing activity data from a foreign pharmaceutical company 'A' which operates in South Korea into five categories. Multiple regression analysis and interaction effects are employed for data analysis. Findings - First, CRM calls, Detail calls, GP, and Web events have a positive impact on sales, but SoV does not show significant differences. Second, in the comparison between HQ1 and HQ2 based on patent ownership, Detail calls and Web events had a stronger impact on sales in HQ2, where the patent period is still in effect, compared to HQ1. However, SoV showed no difference between HQ1 and HQ2. Research implications or Originality - First, Detail Calls are more effective for drugs with active patents, while CRM Calls work better for drugs with expired patents. This emphasizes the need to customize call strategies based on patent status. Second, the significant impact of Web Events on sales in HQ2 compared to HQ1 suggests that online information access is crucial, indicating that customer receptivity varies based on product nature. Third, these insights, derived from data analysis, call for a shift in pharmaceutical marketing analysis methods away from traditional approaches. Finally, this study holds significance as one of the first empirical analyses using actual marketing data from pharmaceutical companies in South Korea.

Findings - First, the more the number of CEO and the younger the CEO, the more employee welfare and training expenditures of internal marketing. The age of the CEO had a negative effect on all external marketing activities. The CEO number had a negative effect on sales promotion and advertising expenditures, but a positive effect on entertainment expenditure of external marketing. Second, as a effect of marketing activities on management performance, the welfare and training expenditures of internal marketing and entertainment expenditure of external marketing had a positive effect but sales promotion expenditure of external marketing had a negative effect on management performance. It is said that the focus of managing venture business is currently moving from technology competition to management competition. By the way, the software venture business(SVB) has some weak points in its structural composition and itematization and no professional personnel in other several sections except technology development section. In addition, such basic functions as technology and R & D, finance and accounting, marketing required to the management of business are concentrated on only one man, its representative director. Therefore, this study aims to provide the basic data useful to the establishment of governmental policy in information and communication, to the rearing of the SVB by a local government related to the software, and to the administration of SVB by investigating the actual conditions. This study attempts to examine the literature on venture business and software industry, and its management with a questionnaire about the actual conditions of managing the SVB. The questionnaire is given to 527 local enterprises belonging to the Software Industry Association and to 171 enterprises in the Software Center. This study compromises the characteristics of the SVB, the actual conditions of its technology and R & D, finance and accounting, and marketing. The characteristics of the SVB are classified into categories such as the stage of its growth(the stage of its seed and start-up, the stage of tis development and growth, the stage of its stability and maturity) and the main business(the system integration, the software development for contract, the package software development service, the software-related service). Additionally, the study attempts to analyze positively the actual condition of its management after classified by the areas of business profile, its general management, its technology development, its finance and accounting, and its marketing The result of this study is found that the SVB has a lot of troubles in part of marketing and finance & accounting activity as well as general management. The SVB realizes the importance of the technology development rather than that of management activity including marketing activity. So we expect this study can assist the SVB to establish the business guidelines for own management plans.
Cause-related Marketing (CrM) has become an increasingly popular marketing approach over the past two decades. However, neither researchers nor organizations fully understand the determinants of a successful CrM partnership. This research fills this gap. Specifically, we employ the schema theory to explore circumstances in which the CrM alliance cannot achieve a success. We use a theoretical modeling approach to report that, when consumers' typicality-based cognitive process is assumed, the CrM activity with the partners' more-discrepant attribute profile cannot be evaluated favorably, but the attribute-level uncertainty about the CrM alliance is less likely to feedback to the two partners. Furthermore, we argue that, under the schema-plus-tag model, consumers may not like the CrM program with a similar attribute profile. Therefore, this CrM approach may fail. To our knowledge, we are the first to apply the schema theory to explain how a CrM alliance can achieve a success.

As a result, among five factors of sense, emotions, perception, behavior, and relationship, only action and relationship influence competence, good feelings, activity, sophistication among five factors of competence, good feelings, activity, sophistication and strength. Therefore, future research should include the comparison of brand personality dimensions and the development of criteria for brand personality.
This study aims to examine the effects of message framing of restaurant menus on customers' perceptions (trust and immersion) and their willingness to pay a premium price. The contents of messages focused on a hypothetical restaurant's cause-marketing activity. Four types of message framing were created: The first two types were varied by the presence and absence of the information about the current cause-marketing outcome, and the second two types were varied by positive and negative framing. The results showed that respondents in general had trust in cause-marketing messages and immersion of cause-marketing message by negative framing lead to positive influence of willingness to pay. Furthermore it had a significant effect on willingness to pay depending on cause-marketing message type and negative message framed messages showed an intention to willingness to pay a premium price. This study compared the difference in messages by type as an extension of the studies of cause-marketing messages in the past. The results of this study will be used for establishing effective marketing strategies for today's foodservice companies and serve as objective data for setting differentiated prices under the circumstance where the importance of companies' social responsibilities is growing.
