서울시 아파트 가격에 대한 대기질의 영향 - 헤도닉 가격기법을 이용하여 - (An Effect of Air Quality on the Apartment Prices in Seoul: Using Hedonic Price Method)

  • Based on the hedonic pricing method, this paper investigates the effect of air quality on the apartment price in Seoul. The empirical results show that both the structural variables such as years of construction, heating system, and size of apartment complex and accessability variables such as distances to subway station and parks provide statistically significant effects on the price of apartment, Especially, the dendity of sulfurous acid gas ($SO_2$) and ozone ($O_3$) in the air, indicating air quality, negatively affect the price of apartment, This implies that as the condition of air quality to become worse, apartment price decreases, Therefore, when the degree of aversion of apartment residents against the air pollution affects the formation of apartment's market price, the MWPT(Marginal Willingness to Pay) in order to improve the air quality 10% has been estimated as 36,000~39,000Won per month.

한국 탄소배출권시장 가격결정체계의 학습효과 연구 (Learning-by-doing Effect on Price Determination System in Korea's Emission Trading Scheme)

  • 2015년 1월부터 시행된 시장기반 온실가스감축수단인 한국 탄소배출권시장의 가격결정체계와 2차 이행연도로의 진행과정에서 발생하는 학습효과에 대하여 고찰한다. 분석결과, 1차와 2차 이행연도 간에 차이점이 존재하는 것으로 추정되었다. 장내요인의 경우, 2차 이행연도에서는 1차 이행연도에서 추정되지 않았던 KCU와 KOC 가격 거래량 변수가 유의하게 추정되었다. 또한, 대내외 경제상황 변수의 경우, 1차 이행연도에서는 모든 변수들이 유의하지 않았으나, 2차 이행연도에서는 금리, 환율, 주가변수에서 통계적 유의성이 확보되었다. 이는, 1차에서 2차 이행연도로 진행하면서 시장운영자인 정부와 시장참여자인 기업들이 1차 이행연도에서의 경험과 지식을 바탕으로 2차 이행연도에서의 배출권 관련 의사결정을 보다 효율화하는 학습효과에 기인한다. 한편, 중점분석대상인 KAU15와 KAU16 가격에 대하여 공통적으로 유의미한 설명변수로는 각 배출권의 이행연도 이듬해 2월과 3월의 명세서 작성 및 제출에 대한 제도이항변수가 존재하였다.

Toward global optimization of case-based reasoning for the prediction of stock price index

  • This paper presents a simultaneous optimization approach of case-based reasoning (CBR) using a genetic algorithm(GA) for the prediction of stock price index. Prior research suggested many hybrid models of CBR and the GA for selecting a relevant feature subset or optimizing feature weights. Most studies, however, used the GA for improving only a part of architectural factors for the CBR system. However, the performance of CBR may be enhanced when these factors are simultaneously considered. In this study, the GA simultaneously optimizes multiple factors of the CBR system. Experimental results show that a GA approach to simultaneous optimization of CBR outperforms other conventional approaches for the prediction of stock price index.

Profit-based Thermal Unit Maintenance Scheduling under Price Volatility by Reactive Tabu Search

  • In this paper, an improved maintenance scheduling approach suitable for the competitive environment is proposed by taking account of profits and costs of generation companies and the formulated combinatorial optimization problem is solved by using Reactive Tabu search (RTS). In competitive power markets, electricity prices are determined by the balance between demand and supply through electric power exchanges or by bilateral contracts. Therefore, in decision makings, it is essential for system operation planners and market participants to take the volatility of electricity price into consideration. In the proposed maintenance scheduling approach, firstly, electricity prices over the targeted period are forecasted based on Artificial Neural Network (ANN) and also a newly proposed aggregated bidding curve. Secondary, the maintenance scheduling is formulated as a combinatorial optimization problem with a novel objective function by which the most profitable maintenance schedule would be attained. As an objective function, Opportunity Loss by Maintenance (OLM) is adopted to maximize the profit of generation companies (GENCOS). Thirdly, the combinatorial optimization maintenance scheduling problem is solved by using Reactive Tabu Search in the light of the objective functions and forecasted electricity prices. Finally, the proposed maintenance scheduling is applied to a practical test power system to verify the advantages and practicability of the proposed method.

  • 인터넷 이용률 증가와 스마트 기기의 대중화로 인해 소비자는 매장에서 구매하던 비용을 온라인 쇼핑 시장으로 전환하고 있다. 이로 인해 사용자의 소비패턴과 소비문화도 변화하고 있다. 오픈 마켓은 웹과 모바일을 통해 유통 채널을 확장하고 소비자의 유치를 위해 다양한 이벤트와 최저가 정책, 안전 거래 등을 제공한다. 본 논문에서는 오픈 마켓에서 판매하는 상품의 정보를 수집하고 분석하여 사용자에게 최저가 상품 정보를 제공하는 검색 시스템을 설계한다.

Modeling of an Electricity Market Including Operating Reserve and Analysis of Supplier's Bidding Strategies

  • In an electricity market with imperfect competition, participants devise bidding plans and transaction strategies to maximize their own profits. The market price and the quantity are concerned with the operation reserve as well as the bidding system and demand curves in an electricity market. This paper presents a market model combined by an energy market and an operating reserve market. The competition of the generation producers in the combined market is formulated as a gaming of selecting bid parameters such as intersections and slopes in bid functions. The Nash Equilibrium (NE) is analyzed by using bi-level optimization; maximization of Social Welfare (SW) and maximization of the producers' profits.

고등어 외해가두리양식의 경제성 분석 (An Economic Feasibility Study of Mackerel Offshore Aquaculture Production System)

  • This study aimed to analyze the economic feasibility of Mackerel offshore aquaculture production performance in Jeju region, Korea. Based on the collected biological, costs and market price data, farming revenue and expenses during the farming period were evaluated, and the net present value and the internal rate of return of a 10-year cash inflow and cash outflow were estimated to determine the economic feasibility of Mackerel offshore aquaculture production system. Model results indicated that the Mackerel offshore aquaculture production performance would have high profitability under the current production and market situation. This is because of the relatively high survival rate, relatively low feed conversion ratio and good market prices. However, sensitivity analyses of main important biological and economic variables showed that the economic viability of Mackerel offshore aquaculture production system would be highly vulnerable to production and market condition changes.

전력소비자 수요관리용 전지전력저장시스템의 적정 가격 산정 (Estimation of Reasonable Price of Battery Energy Storage System for Electricity Customers Demand Management)

  • The paper estimated the reasonable market price of lead-acid battery energy storage system (BESS) intended for demand management of electricity customers. As time-of-use (TOU) tariffs have extended to a larger number of customers and gaps in the peak and off-peak rates have gradually risen, deployment of BESS has been highly needed. However, immature engineering techniques, lack of field experiences and high initial investment cost have been barriers to opening up ESS markets. This paper assessed electricity cost that BESS operation could save for customers and, based on the possible cost savings, estimated reasonable prices at which BESSs could become a more prospective option for demand management of customers. Battery scheduling was optimized to maximize the electricity cost savings that BESS would possibly achieve under TOU tariffs conditions. Basic economic factors such as payback period and return on investment were calculated to determine reasonable market prices. Actual load data of 12 industrial customers were used for case studies.

  • Electric power market in Japan is now on the trend of deregulation and privatization just like in Europe and the United States. And various approaches for risk management have been investigated taking the electric power price fluctuation after the deregulation into account. The behavior of the investment in power generation plants has not, however, been studied in detail yet due to the complexity of the problem. The problem of the investment in the deregulated power market is that of autonomous decentralized decision-making system, which includes various kinds of decision-makers, that is, power producers called IPPS Each generator has its own criteria for plant investment. Therefore, the total behavior of the decentralized power market will be so complicated, and normative approach will not be applicable fur this analysis. We have developed a simulation-based system fur behavioral analysis and also the framework design of the decentralized power market.

중국산 도자기질 타일 반덤핑관세부과 사례에 관한 연구 (A Case Study on imposing anti-dumping duty against Chinese Ceramic Tile)

  • Trade remedy is the system that additional duty or import quantity restriction would be imposed on the import products, in case that unfair imports damage domestic industry or even proper import products damage significantly domestic industry. The system is secured by the act of unfair trade practice investigation & industrial damage remedy, tariff act, WTO agreement. Anti-dumping duty act is the system that duties are assessed with the equal or less amount of the difference between normal transaction price and dumping price, in case that the product imported under dumping price causes or may cause damages in domestic industry, or the development of domestic industry should be delayed practically. Recently, the problems related with anti-dumping duty imposed as the part of the trade remedy occur frequently. It is necessary to discuss whether the anti-dumping duty act is practically trade remedy which does comply with GATT regulations and WTO agreements as the criteria of international law and is in line with the intent of domestic act in the suffered country, or it does return to protective trade or reduce the protection of consumer. On the basis of this discussion, it would be difficult to impose the antidumping duty on industrial products in order to protect domestic industry, when considering the expected free trade agreements of Korea-US, Korea-China and Korea-Japan. In order to survive under the current severe competition of world trade market, companies should raise the competitiveness by themselves without relying on the current trade acts to provide with a certain protection. This thesis should bring those attentions.
