  • Air Transportation industry becomes more competitive that the restriction on new access to market were eased and relaxed. Liberalization of international air transport will continue, via bilateral and multilateral process. Korea, Japan, and China have expanded enormously the economic trade and cultural exchange bilaterally in the Northeast Asia, they are acknowledging the importance and necessity of improved connection, it order to face effectively other regional blocks of US-Canada, NAFTA, ASEAN, CLMV. In particular, nobody denies that it is urgent to liberalize bilaterally the air transport in Northeast Asia for promoting reciprocal benefits and prosperity. Recently while open skies bilateral agreements was signed between Korea-China in June, 2006. The agreements processes are too heavily influenced by flag carriers; leading to capacity/market sharing between the bilateral carriers in most markets, against the interest of consumers and overall economic interest of the nation. For successful operation of Northeast Air Market, it is need to set up development strategy paradigm by creating cross-border sub-regional (Northeast Asian) open skies bloc as well as preparing and creating of LCCs operations.

  • In the modern society, social activities of married women are increasing along with the economic growth, which leads to low birth rates of the situation where most people give birth to only one or two children. Korea in particular records one of the lowest birth rates among many other nations of the world. Despite the situation where overall industrial consumer economy is not good, baby goods market is becoming more luxurious and diversified, and its scale is also growing. Desires of young parents in their 20s and 30s for their children leads to consumption desires of luxurious baby goods, and despite the fact that their taste level rises by easily gaining access to immense baby information via the Internet, our nation's baby furniture market is unreasonably lacking the ability to satisfy the needs of such consumers. Furniture culture of our nation today is based on the stand-up culture of the West. However, analyzing the life culture inside our homes, stand-up and sit-down cultures of the West and the East are coexisting complexly. Such life pattern can be more easily found in households with babies. As such, baby furniture that satisfies our unique life culture and has quality, design and price competitiveness is desperately needed. In such market state, this study is expected to make economic and cultural accomplishments by focusing on the newly embossing baby furniture market and developing products, delivering them to consumers to open new markets and developing into an industry.

선진국으로의 의약품 수출 경쟁력: 한국과 인도를 대상으로 한 정책비교분석 연구 (Competitiveness in Exports of Pharmaceuticals to Developed Countries: A Comparative Policy Analysis on South Korea and India)

  • Local pharmaceutical companies in Korea, which have grown focusing on domestic markets, have recently faced difficulties such as market saturation, price control policies and market-opening pressures by FTA. It seems to be an urgent issue for them to export pharmaceuticals to developed countries comprising the greater part of the global pharmaceutical market. Hence, this research was conducted to investigate and benchmark the strategies employed by India industry for the successful access to the global pharmaceutical markets. Drug policies as well as their influences on pharmaceutical market changes between India and Korea for the last 40 years have been searched and the differences have been comparatively analyzed. The pharmaceutical industry of India has the following strengths: low costs; experienced labor pool; excellent reverse-engineering skills; powerful IT; marketing capability; and established distribution network. After 2000, consolidations, M&A and alliances with domestic and multinational companies have been sharply increased in the industry of India. Indian companies unfolding both competition and cooperation with multinational corporations currently move up the value-added chain, and this enthusiastic strategy should be learned by local pharmaceutical companies.

A Study on Awareness and Responses of Korean Textile Firms against Korea-US FTA

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the awareness levels of Korean textile companies and develop appropriate response plans for the Korea-US Free Trade Agreement. Through such, the study aims to explore practical and realistic directions that the Korean textile industry must take in the future. As for the research method, a survey on the Korea-US Free Trade Agreement was conducted to 50 Korean textile companies which mainly deal in textile exports. Results showed that Korean textile companies possess above average awareness for the Korea-US Free Trade Agreement and carry the perception that the FTA has thus far had a positive effect of market revitalization and contributions to sales. Nonetheless, perceptions on the needs for the Korea-US Free Trade Agreement and level of awareness were below average while government assistance seen to be unsatisfactory. Such results suggest that measures for successful access to the U.S. market require developing products customized for the U.S. market and creating new market opportunities by participating in U.S. exhibits and shows. In addition, textile companies must develop their abilities for self-sustainability through continuous FTA related programs provided by government in addition to investing efforts to understand global markets within companies through response measures on the FTA as a whole.

  • 전자상거래는 고객에게 보다 시각적이고 청각적인 데이터에 쉽게 접근하게 만든다. 이러한 전자상거래의 기능은 기업들로 하여금 새로운 인터넷 기반의 판매활동을 가능하게 한다. 그러므로 전자상거래 시스템 구축은 기업들에게는 피할 수 없는 중요한 일이 되었다. 그러나 기업에 있어서 실제적인 전자상거래 시스템 구축은 초기의 엄청난 투자비용을 부담 해야하므로 매우 어려운 일이다. 위에서 언급한 것과 같이 전자상거래시스템 구축의 중요성을 고려하여 본 연구는 전자상거래 분야의 경영적 측면의 성공요인 분석을 통하여 한국 전자상거래 시장 분석을 하고자 한다. 본 연구의 결과가 미래의 한국 전자상거래 시장의 성장을 위한 확실하고, 실질적인 도움을 제공할 것이다.

국제협정과 협상을 통한 중국 건설서비스 시장개방과 기업의 활용방안 (Opening China's Construction Markets through International Agreements and Negotiations and Applications for Firms)

  • 이 글은 국제협정을 통한 중국 건설서비스 시장의 시장개방도를 검토하고, 한국정부가 국제협상에서 중국 건설서비스 시장을 추가적으로 개방시킬 수 있는 전략을 살펴본다. 여기서는 세 가지 전략을 추진하기를 제안하였는데, 첫째는 WTO GPA와 FTA를 통하여 시장개방 범위를 넓히도록 한다. 특히 지방정부와 공기업 및 PPP의 정부조달시장 개방을 추진하도록 한다. 둘째, GPA 협상을 통하여 정부조달과 관련된 법과 규제의 투명성 제고와 입찰절차의 투명성 제고를 추진해야 한다. 특히, 지방정부의 입찰절차를 투명화시켜야 한다. 셋째, 한국과 중국이 참여할 향후 FTA에 규제수렴에 관련된 협상을 포함하여 외국업체들에게 불리하게 적용되는 규제를 제거시키거나 완화시키도록 한다.

LM시장 경쟁 확대의 경제적효과 분석 (Economic Effect Analysis on the Intensification of Competition in LM Market)

  • 본 연구는 사업자 사전 선택제 도입으로 인해 LM 시장에 경쟁이 확대될 경우의 경제적 효과를 분석하였다. 이 논문의 분석견과에 따르면, LM 시장 경쟁확대로 인해 소비자편익 변화는 최대 276억원 감소에서부터 최대 1,448억원 증대되는 것으로 추정되었고, 사업자 수익은 최소 2,079억원 최대 4,387억원 감소되는 것으로 추정되었다. 그리고 소비자편익과 사업자 수익을 반영한 사회적후생은 최소 1,739억원에서 최대 4,071억원 감소되는 것으로 추정되었다.

  • This paper discusses the development of the educational simulator for the electricity spot market in korea. The interaction between lectures and users can be much enhanced via the web-based programs which result in the student's teaming effectiveness on an electricity spot market. However the difficulties for developing web-based application programs are that there can be the numerous unspecified users to access the application programs. To overcome the aforementioned multi-users problem and to develope the educational simulator, we have revised the system architecture, the modeling of application programs, and database which efficiently and effectively manages the complex data sets related to an electricity spot market. The developed application program is composed of the physical three tiers where the middle tier is logically divided into two kinds of application programs. The divided application programs are interconnected by using the Web-service based on XML (Extended Markup Technology) and HTTP (Hyper Text Transfer Protocol) which make it possible the distributed computing technology.

Creating Innovative Packaging and Logo Design for the Golden Banana Product to Modernize and Enhance Distribution

  • Purpose: This study focuses on the golden banana (Kluai Hom Thong) from the Ban Khok Banana Community Enterprise Group in Sang Khom District, Udon Thani Province, Thailand. Despite its potential as an export crop and minimal disease or insect management issues, the group's products struggled to reach international markets due to lack of marketing opportunities, distribution channels, and proper packaging. The research aims to analyze and develop packaging and logos to test market potential for the group's products. Research design, data and methodology: Data was collected through questionnaires developed in conjunction with three printing and packaging design experts. Market testing involved 100 randomly sampled consumers of the group's products. Results: The new packaging design was perceived as more international, modern, and suitable as a souvenir for adults. Conclusions: Integrating ethnic elements and local materials into packaging design can enhance product appeal. For example, creating cloth bags from fabric scraps for carrying local woven products can impress consumers. This approach could help overcome market barriers and improve prospects for golden banana products in international markets while maintaining the intact ecosystem and environment of the production area. The study highlights the importance of effective packaging and branding in addressing market access challenges for local agricultural enterprises, potentially opening new opportunities for community-based businesses.

OFDMA/TDD 시스템의 초기 동기 성능 분석 (Analysis of Initial Synchronization Performance in OFDMA/TDD Systems)

  • 현재 이동 통신 시장에서는 고속의 데이터 전송에 적합한 무선 접속 기술로 Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA)가 많은 주목을 받고 있고, 이를 기반으로 하여 Time Division Duplex (TDD) 기술이 결합된 OFDMA/TDD 방식이 앞으로 많이 사용될 전망이다. OFMA/TDD 방식은 다중 사용자의 레인징 심볼들이 기지국에 수신될 때 기지국은 특정 사용자의 심볼에 시간 동기를 맞추기 때문에 나머지 사용자의 심볼은 각각의 Symbol Timing Offset (STO)을 갖게 된다. 각 사용자의 STO는 선형적인 위상 성분을 야기하고 이러한 위상 성분이 합성되어 Multiple Access Interference (MAI)로 작용하는데 이는 레인징 부호 검출 확률을 저하시킨다. 따라서 STO에 따른 레인징 부호 검출 확률의 열화 정도를 정확히 파악하여 적절한 보정을 해주는 것이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 OFDMA/TDD 방식을 사용하는 시스템에서 각 사용자의 STO에 따른 레인징 부호 검출 성능을 분석한다. 시뮬레이션결과 접속자의 수가 많을수록, 단말의 이동속도가 빠를수록 레인징 부호 검출 성능이 저하됨을 알 수 있다.
