"United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Carriage of Goods Wholly or Partly by Sea" was passed in July 3, 2008. on September 23, 2009 signing ceremony was held in Rotterdam. The system of maritime performing party is a special system in the transport convention, and constitutes an integral part of the Convention. Maritime performing party system is not the first system which brings in the carrier's independent contractor, but it is the most comprehensive and thorough one. It unified the duty of carrier's independent contractor in the maritime segment, and it is also an important progress in the developing process of international maritime legal system. There are some differences between the maritime performing party and China's current related system, i.e, the port maritime performing party and the intermediate performing party are included in the maritime performing party, and they can enjoy the carrier's exception clause and limitation of liability.

The maritime industry has emerged as a new growth engine. The municipalities that own the port are trying to add value through the maritime industry. Overseas port cities are also creating maritime industrial clusters to generate profits and strengthen competitiveness. Therefore, it is very important to understand the comparative status of the domestic maritime industry by region. Based on this analysis, it is possible to establish maritime industrial clusters and strategies for integration. This study analyzed the structure of the maritime industry located in Jeollanamdo province, the southwestern part of Korea. Through the analysis of existing literature, the maritime industry was reclassified into 5 major categories, 21 subcategories, and 84 subcategories. Based on the reclassified maritime industry, the analysis of the Jeollanamdo province maritime industry was based on applying the location quotient and the shift-share analysis. As a result of analyzing the geographical location of Jeollanamdo province, other industries showed the highest value of 2.790, followed by fisheries (2.227), shipbuilding industry (1.164) and marine tourism industry (0.554). The growth effect of the maritime industry in Jeollanamdo province was 35,323 people, and net growth effect excluding national growth effect was 11,945 people. In particular, the net growth effect of the shipbuilding industry was the highest at 11,320, followed by shipping logistics (6,371) and marine tourism (1,529). On the other hand, there was no net growth effect in fisheries. The results of this study can be used as basic data for the construction of the maritime industrial cluster for Jellanamdo province in the future.

Nowadays, the issue of maritime safety is an extremely important issue in the maritime industry and Human' Stress is one of the biggest causes of maritime accidents. The purpose of this study was to research and compare the risk marine accidents analysis methods and find the methods which used to analysis data of the human' stress and obtained the relationship between it and the risk of maritime accidents.

Nowadays, the issue of maritime safety is an extremely important issue in the maritime industry and human' stress is one of the biggest causes of maritime accidents. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of the human' stress and find out the relationship between it and the risk of maritime accidents occur through the assistance of BIOPAC MP-150 and BIONOMADIX system.

본 연구에는 국제무역이론에서 자주 이용되고 있는 중력모형을 이용하여 시계열 분석에서 고려되지 못한 항만입지(주간선항로상의 위치여부), 항만비용(해상운송비용), 지역경제협력(ASEAN, EU, NAFTA) 등을 시계열 자료와 결합하여 부산항의 해상물동량을 추정하였다. 부산항의 수출입물동량에 대한 분석 결과를 살펴보면, 두 나라간의 거리에 (-) 영향을 받고, 우리나라와 교역상대국 GDP의 합에 대해서는 (+) 효과를 나타내는 것으로 분석되었다. 교역상대국이 주 간선항로 위치 여부(LINE)와 해운협정 체결(ARG) 여부는 (+) 부호를 나타내며 통계적으로 유의한 결과를 얻었다. 해상운송비용의 경우는 해상운임이 1% 포인트 상승하면 부산항의 수출입물동량은 0.323에서 0.490% 정도 감소하는 것으로 분석되었다. 부산항의 입출항 환적물동량에 대한 분석 결과, 우리나라와 교역상대국 GDP의 합은 (+)의 호과를 나타내는 것으로 분석되었으며 주간선항로의 위치변수(LINE)는 (+)의 부호를 나타내고 통계적으로도 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 해상운송비용은 1% 포인트 상승하면 부산항의 환적 물동량이 약 0.586에서 0.895 가량 감소하는 것으로 분석되었다. 지역경제협력체인 EU에 대해서는 수출입과 환적물동량 모두에서 (-)의 부호를 나타내었고 ASEAN은 환적물동량에서 (+)의 부호를 나타내며 통계적으로 유의한 결과를 얻었다.

Colombo noticeably became the most economical gateway to the Indian subcontinent, in terms of cost as well as time. The Colombo Port Expansion Project (CPEP) started commencement with the purpose of accommodating mega ships, under the long-term strategies of making Colombo the hub of South Asia. In this context, the purpose of this study is to investigate the causal relationship between Indian ports' originated container traffic, and total transshipments of the port of Colombo, and also to identify the nature of the causality between the two variables, evaluating Granger causality test results. It finds unidirectional causality from total transshipments of Colombo to Indian ports' originated transshipments in the port of Colombo. It suggested that ongoing port expansion projects, opening up for new markets and attracting new shipping lines in the port of Colombo, have generated significant impact on Indian ports' container traffic, via the port of Colombo. Findings would be valuable for future forecasting of container traffic in Colombo port and the policy-making process in the port as well.

2006년 1월 부산신항 3선석을 시작으로 부산신항의 운영이 시작되고, 해외경쟁항만의 지속적인 시설확충은 기존 우리나라의 대표항만으로 자리매김해온 부산북항이 직면한 도전이다. 이러한 도전을 슬기롭게 극복하기 위해서는 가장 먼저. 지금의 상황을 냉정하게 파악할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 부산북항의 현 상황을 파악하기 위해서 해외경쟁항만과 부산북항의 운영시설 및 운영현황을 비교분석하고, 신규개장하는 부산신항과 부산북항의 시설현황을 비교하며. 마지막으로 부산북항 개별터미널의 시설 및 장비, 운영현황을 상대비교한다.

Globalization of production, changing technology in ocean shipping sector, shifting bargaining power from port service provider to port users, changing distribution patterns of the containerization and new implementation for the environment and safety concerns introduced new ways of administration in port sector. In these days, port industries cannot survive alone. Port operation and management has to be proactive to cooperate and integrate with other port operators or other industries. In the 21st century, cooperation in maritime sector is more common than that in the past with several different reasons in a mixture of forms of cooperation. Cooperation among port authorities, port operators, shipping line, inland transport service providers and/or related organizations themselves becomes to exist to overcome the challenges and development of the global transport chain. This paper investigates the concept of port cooperation and the case analysis of the cooperation in the port industry.
