Carbon coils could be synthesized on nickel catalyst layer-deposited silicon oxide substrate using $C_2H_2$ and $H_2$ as source gases under thermal chemical vapor deposition system. By the incorporation of $SF_6$ additive in cyclic modulation manner, the dominant formation of the nanosized carbon coils could be achieved with maintaining the minimized sulfur additive amount. The geometry variation of the as-grown carbon coils, such as linear type, microsized coil type, wavelike nanosized coil type, and nanosized coil type, were investigated according to the different cyclic modulation manner of $SF_6$ flow. $SF_6$ gas incorporation develops the coil-type geometry. Furthermore, the higher flow rate of $SF_6$ gas increased the amount of the nanosized carbon coils. The slightly increased etching ability by $SF_6$ addition seems to be the cause for these results.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the quantity, residents` storing manner, and frequency in use of the stored items in bedrooms. and to comprehend the relevant desires of the residents in apartments. The results of the study are summarized as follows; 1. The quantity of the stored Items in bedrooms of apartments were measured after classified into 4 categories; Western style clothes, Korean costumes, underwears, and miscellaneous items. The quantity of the stored items In Rl(the largest bedrooms) was more than twice as many as in R2(the second largest bedrooms)2. The stored items were divided inte 3 categories according to the manner in which they were stored; those generally hung, those generally folded, and those hung or folded half-and-half.3. The frequency in use of the stored items was classified into 2 categories-those used "always" or "often" and those used "seasonal" or "seldom"·and shown diversely according to the kind of items4. It was shown that most residents in apartments were not much satisfied with storage space, i.e.. they generally fell the storage space insufficient. And they tended to want more wardrobes in Rl, and more shelves in R2.

Objective: In this study, we investigated the effects of Rhizoma Cimicifugae (RC) on the induction of nitric oxide (NO) in RAW 264.7 murine macrophages treated with lipopolysaccharide (LPS). Methods: We examined whether RC have an antipyretic effect by inhibition of COX and/or NOS in fever that is evoked by an intraperitoneal injection of LPS in rats. Results: 1. RC inhibited NO metabolites produced by activated murine macrophage in a dose-dependent manner. 2. RC had an antipyretic effect in a dose-dependent manner in LPS-induced fever. 3. RC inhibited levels of both COX-2 protein and iNOS protein increased by the treatment of LPS in brain tissues as well as brain blood vessels. 4. There were no changes in proteins of nNOS/COX-1. Conclusions: RC has an antipyretic effect by attenuating the level of iNOS and COX-2 protein.

Furthermore, it makes Public open data for workplace etiquette through gathering 'metadata', which is a comprehensive source of workplace etiquette. Accordingly, framework changes recognition about necessity of workplace etiquette education positively and suggests method that can promote effective workplace etiquette education. If the system in the study can provide public open data of workplace etiquette education, many young job applicants and workers will have a proper perception on it and sound workplace etiquette culture will be settled in the companies. Public data has been rising as a vital national strategic asset these days. Hopefully the public data will pave a way to discover the blue ocean in the market and open up a new type of businesses.

This paper introduces a representation style of variable binding using dependent types when formalizing meta-theoretic properties. The style we present is a variation of the Coquand-McKinna-Pollack's locally-named representation. The main characteristic is the use of dependent families in defining expressions such as terms and formulas. In this manner, we can handle many syntactic elements, among which wellformedness, provability, soundness, and completeness are critical, in a compact manner. Another point of our paper is to investigate the roles of free variables and constants. Our idea is that fresh constants can entirely play the role of free variables in formalizing meta-theories of first-order predicate logic. In order to show the feasibility of our idea, we formalized the soundness and completeness of LJT with respect to Kripke semantics using the proof assistant Coq, where LJT is the intuitionistic first-order predicate calculus. The proof assistant Coq supports all the functionalities we need: intentional type theory, dependent types, inductive families, and simultaneous substitution.

We have isolated a sesquiterpene lactone, cumambrin A from the dried flowers of Chrysanthemum boreale Makino and reported its chemical structure. The aim of the present study was to investigate whether the exogenous administration of cumambrin A has a pharmacological effect on normalization of blood pressure in the spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR). In vitro studies: Relaxative response induced by cumambrin A was increased with dose-dependent manner and showed maximizing response at a concentration of 5?0-4 M. Further, this relaxative response was significantly increased at a condition of endothelium present than that of endothelium denuded. in vivo studies: The normalizing effect of cumambrin A on blood pressure was also increased with time-dependent manner and then gradually recovered to normal condition at approximately 4 hrs after cumambrin A treatment.

We investigated the effects of plant vinegar on platelets and blood coagulation system. Plant vinegar inhibited in vitro platelet aggregation in a concentration dependent manner, when platelets were activated by thrombin and collagen. In addition, plant vinegar showed inhibitory effects on the serotonin secretion induced by thrombin in a concentration dependent manner. However, treatment with plant vinegar to platelets did not induce any cytotoxicity, as determined by the release of lactate dehydrogenase. Plant vinegar did not change the coagulation parameters such as activated partial thromboplastin time (aPTT) and prothrombin time (PT) using rat citrated plasma. In vivo study revealed that, treatment with plant vinegar prolonged the bleeding time from mouse tail. All these results suggest that plant vinegar might improve blood hemostasis mediated via anti platelet activities.

Decursin was purified from Angelica gigas Nakai, and its effects on the human Kv1.5 (hKv1.5) currents were recorded in mouse fibroblasts ($Ltk^-$ cells) by whole-cell patch-clamp technique. Decursin inhibited hKv1.5 current in a concentration-dependent manner, with an $IC_{50}$ value of $2.7\;{\mu}M$ at +60 mV. Decursin accelerated the inactivation kinetics of the hKv1.5 channel, and slowed the deactivation kinetics of the hKv1.5 current, resulting in a tail crossover phenomenon. Also, decursin inhibited the hKv1.5 current in a use-dependent manner. These results strongly suggest that decursin is a kind of open-channel blocker of the hKv1.5 channel.

The present study was designed for the improvement of routine measurement of superoxide and hydroxyl radical scavenging activities utilized by a microplate reader. Superoxide radical scavenging activity by the ascorbic acid, which is a well-known superoxide scavenger, was determined in a dose-dependent manner. Hydroxyl radical scavenging activity by the thiourea, which is a well-known hydroxyl radical scavenger, was also well detected in a dose-dependent manner. Our results suggest that the use of microplate reader to assay the superoxide and hydroxyl radical scavenging activities improves the accuracy of data and enables the use of much smaller amounts of samples and/or reagents, with much simpler experimental procedure. Therefore, These methods appear to be suitable for screening of superoxide and hydroxyl radical scavenging activities in both the plant medicinal extracts and the isolated compounds.

The drinking manners of the modern generaton were reviewed based on historical records. First, for reasons of health, we should reject the drinking from the same cup as others in reciprocation. Second, if the other people are older or younger brothers above the same level, pouring with one hand is all right, but if 5 years older or more, or stranger, grasp the bottle in two hands in the following manner. With the right hand under the bottle, and the left hand supporting its side, carefully pour wine not to show the palm of the hand. Third, ladies, also, can drink freely at the same table, but if people of the opposite sex are sitting together, they should pour with two hands to convey the meaning of courteous treatment. Fourth, because the level of our living is not two high, we must not order more them we can use, so that when we are finished, there will be no remainder.
