외식프랜차이즈 가맹본부의 관리특성과 공정성이 관계결속과 성과에 미치는 영향 (Relational Commitment, Performance, and the Franchiser's Management Characteristics and Fairness in Food Service Distribution)

  • Purpose - Franchise industries are significant both socially and economically. However, with increasing interest, there are manifold problems. It is necessary to seek measures for mature operation constantly despite unprepared franchisors, negative perceptions of the media and society toward franchise, and rapid changes in business start-up trends and propensity to consume that make business start-ups difficult. The paper aims to explain the effects of relational commitment and performance on the franchisor's management characteristics and justice in the food service franchise system. Research design, data, and methodology - This is an exploratory survey examining franchising in Korea. Based on a literature synthesis, we extract five constructs: managerial characteristics, support, fairness, trust, and satisfaction. We hypothesize that these factors influence the trust, satisfaction, and performance of franchisees. To examine these hypotheses empirically, we conducted a survey on the database of the Franchising Council of Korea. The study employs data from May to September 2014. In total, 135 completed questionnaires were received, of which 128 were usable. The data was analyzed with SPSS/PC 22.0. First, to test unidimensionality and nomological validity of the measures of each construct, we employed a scale refinement procedure. The result of a reliability test with Cronbach's α and factor analysis warranted unidimensionality of the measures for each construct. In addition, nomological validity of the measures was warranted from the result of the correlation and regression analysis. By analyzing the data, we can confirm most hypotheses. Results - Frist, franchisor characteristics have a positive effect on trust and satisfaction. Second, franchisor fairness has an effect on trust and satisfaction. Third, franchisor support has an effect on satisfaction. Further, the franchisee trust has an effect on satisfaction. Fourth, the satisfaction of a franchisee with a franchisor affects the performance of a franchisee. Finally, there is a possibility that not only franchisee performance but also increasing the credibility and improving the image of the franchisor through communication between franchisor and franchisee can improve franchisees' performance and satisfaction by motivating the franchisee for sustainable growth. Franchisers should endeavor for franchisees to obtain stable revenue with continuous and practical support. They should recognize that they can expand their business by supporting their franchisees. Franchisors should not only instantly respond to franchisees' troubles with interactive communications but also raise the ability of supervisors for better support. Franchisors should share their visions and goals with their franchisees and provide systematic and continuous support based on trust and clear company management. Franchisees should understand franchisors' position as well as participate in establishing the basic franchise system. Contributions - The paper contributes to understanding franchising in Korea. It offers insights and assistance to franchisors hoping to start franchises. This paper explores measurement issues related to franchisee performance by estimating its determinant factors (managerial characteristics, support, fairness, trust, and satisfaction). This study provides franchisors and practitioners planning to extend their franchising business with some practical knowledge.

창업가 역량 특성이 창업성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구: 창업지원제도 매개효과 중심으로 (The Effects of Entrepreneur Competence Characteristics on Start-Up Performance: Focusing on the Mediating Effect of the Start-Up Support System)

  • 창업의 중요성에 대한 인식이 높아지면서 인생의 진로를 창업으로 결정하는 예비 창업가들이 점진적으로 많아지고 있다. 하지만 창업 실패율은 여전히 높고, 창업성과가 미비하여 질적인 수준은 매우 낮다. 이에 본 연구에서는 창업가 역량특성, 창업지원제도에 대한 관심을 가지고, 창업성과에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 실증 분석하였다. 이를 위해 2018년 8월 1일부터 8월30일까지 전라북도의 7년 미만 창업가를 대상으로 361개의 유효데이터를 수집하여 SPSS 21.O, AMOS 21을 통해 연구검증에 활용하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 창업가 역량특성(기업가적 역량, 관리적 역량)이 창업지원제도에 유의미한 정(+)의 영향을 미치고, 기술적 역량은 유의미한 효과가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 창업가 역량(기업가 역량, 관리적 역량, 기술적 역량)이 창업성과에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 결과가 증명되었다. 단, 기업가적 역량은 창업성과에 음(-)의 유의미한 영향을 미치는 의미 있는 결과가 나왔다. 셋째, 창업지원제도는 창업성과에 정(+)의 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 끝으로 창업지원제도는 기업가적 역량과 창업성과 사이에 매개 효과가 있음을 검증하였다. 본 연구의 시사점은 창업기업들의 창업성과를 높이기 위해서는 창업가 역량 함양이 중요한 요인이라는 것을 증명하였다. 또한 창업지원제도 활용은 직 간접적으로 창업 성과에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 중요한 요소임을 실증연구를 통해 증명하였으며, 적극적으로 창업 지원 및 활용하는 것이 창업성과를 높이기 위해서는 반드시 필요한 부분이라는 것을 증명하였다.

정부의 벤처기업 R&D 지원에서의 역선택 가능성에 관한 연구 : 정부 R&D 수혜기업과 비수혜기업 간 경영효율성 비교를 중심으로 (Adverse Selection in the Government R&D Support for Venture Business : Evidence from the Managerial Efficiency Comparison of the Recipient and Non-recipient of R&D Grants)

  • 최근 정부의 벤처기업 정책 지원은 창업 초기 중기의 벤처기업에 대한 R&D 지원에 초점을 두고 있다. 그러나 정보의 비대칭성 문제로 인한 역선택 가능성, 즉, 정부 R&D가 과연 성장 잠재력이 높은 창업 초기 중기 기업에게 지원되고 있는가에 대한 우려도 제기되고 있다. 특히 창업 중기는 죽음의 계곡으로 인해 벤처기업의 생존율이 크게 낮아지는 구간이기 때문에, 정책효과가 클 것으로 예상되는 우수 벤처기업을 선정하여 지원하는 것이 매우 중요하다. 이에 따라 본 연구는 2015년 벤처기업정밀실태조사 결과를 활용, 기술집약적 제조업 내 중기 벤처기업을 정부 R&D 지원 수혜기업(이하 수혜기업)과 비수혜 기업으로 나누고, 이들의 경영효율성 및 기술 재무성과를 비교하였다. 분석결과, 기술집약적 제조업 내 수혜기업은 비수혜 기업에 비해 경영효율성이 낮았으며, 이러한 경향은 중고위기술 제조업에서 더욱 크게 나타났다. 한편, 기술 및 재무성과 분석 결과, 수혜기업은 기술성은 우수하였으나, 성장성, 수익성, 안정성은 열위에 있음을 확인하였다. 특히 이러한 경향은 중고위기술 제조업 내 세부산업 전반에서 발견되었다. 이는 벤처기업에 대한 정부 R&D 지원 시, 역선택 문제가 우려됨을 시사한다. 따라서 향후 정부는 수혜기업 선정 시 경영효율성 및 재무성과를 중요 평가 기준으로 고려해야할 것이다. 또한 기술성이 뛰어난 기업의 경영효율성 및 재무성과를 제고하기 위한 정책과 함께, 경영효율성이 뛰어난 벤처기업을 정부 R&D 지원에 유인하기 위한 방법도 마련해야할 것이다.

시니어 창업의사결정유형과 창업지원사업이 창업성과에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Senior Entrepreneurial Decision Making Types and Entrepreneurial Supporting Policy on Start-up Performance)

  • 대외적으로는 글로벌 금융위기와 국내에서는 장기적인 내수경기 침체로 인하여 경제의 어려움이 가속되고 있는 가운데 우리나라는 급격한 출산율 저하와 고령사회에 진입함과 동시에 베이비부머의 정년퇴직도 본격화되고 있는 실정이다. 현재 우리 경제의 주된 중심체인 베이비붐 세대(1955-1963년 출생)가 조기 퇴직 대상이 되면서 썰물은퇴가 시작되고 있다. 이상과 같이 빠른 고령화와 조기 퇴직으로 청년실업과 함께 사회경제적으로 커다란 영향을 미치고 있는 시니어세대가 경제적인 위협에서 탈피하기 위하여 창업에 대한 관심이 날로 높아지고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 시니어들의 창업의사결정이 창업성공에 미치는 영향과 창업지원사업이 창업성공에 미치는 영향에 대한 상관관계 분석을 통해 두 요인 간에 어떠한 상관관계가 있는지를 살펴보았다. 설문은 소상공인지원센터의 시니어 창업지원센터와 서울산업진흥원의 장년창업센터의 지원을 받아 그 곳에서의 교육을 이수하고 경영지원을 받은 창업가 393명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 그 검증결과 시니어들의 창업의사결정유형에서는 합리적유형만이 창업성공의 재무적성과와 비재무적성과 모두에 정의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고, 직관적유형은 비재무적성과만이 정의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또 정부의 창업지원사업에 있어서는 자금지원, 경영지원, 교육지원 중 경영지원만이 정의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

The Impacts of Relational Support, Educational Support, Attitude towards Entrepreneurship on Entrepreneurial Intentions of Fresh graduates

  • Purpose: The study aims to identify the factors contributing to the formation of entrepreneurial intentions among recent university graduates. The original value of this study lies in providing support and a better understanding of the entrepreneurial decision-making process of Vietnamese fresh graduates. Research design, data and methodology: The research methodology employs Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) with a sample size of 385 university graduates in Vietnam. Results: The results indicate that three key factors, including relational support, educational support, and attitude towards business, positively impact entrepreneurial intentions. Conclusions: The managerial implications are provided to promote entrepreneurial intention among recent university graduates.

낚시면허제 지지 영향 요인 분석 -확장된 계획 행동이론을 중심으로- (Analyzing Important Factors that Influence Anglers Support for Fishing License -Focused on the Extend Theory of Planned Behavior-)

  • The study intends to examine the effects of the fishing license system on fisheries resources in order to reduce the adverse effects of recreational fishing, such as fishery resource reduction and environmental pollution. In doing so, the research question of the study is to determine what factors influence anglers' willingness to support fishing licenses. Based on the extended theory of planned behavior, we further included explanatory variables such as recreation specialization and motivations besides anglers' attitudes, norms and self-efficacy towards the environment and proposed six research hypotheses. The data were collected through on-site and online surveys in Gwangju and Cheonnam province and a total of 337 effective questionnaires were collected for data analysis. Three different binary logit models were employed with the dependent variable of anglers'willingness to support fishing licenses to assess the effects of explanatory variables. Study results show that social norms, the level of recreation specialization, motivation factors related to environmental experiences positively affected anglers'willingness to support fishing licenses. However, anglers'consumptive orientation attitudes such as catching big fish, motivation factors related to activity general experience preferences and previous fishing experience had negative effects on the dependent variables. Study results indicate that public outreach and education programs are essential to successfully introduce the fishing license system. Managerial and policy-related implications are further discussed to make recreational fishing a more environment-friendly recreational activity. This study investigated the effects of diverse variables derived from anglers' social-psychological characteristics on their support for fishing licenses and suggest diverse policy-related and managerial implications.

공동주택 생활관리인지 척도 개발을 위한 기초 연구 (A Basic Study for the Cognitive Measurement Scale of Residential Life Management among the Apartment Residents)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the cognitive measurement scale of residential life management of apartment residents. The questionaires were distributed to 550 housewives and 392 questionaires were analyzed in this study. For the construct validity of this residential life management, the methods of factor analysis was used. As the results, 5 factors of residential life management of apartment residents were extracted. They are 1) Residential life covenience service, 2) Residential life support service, 3) Resident's activity support and announcement of managerial works. 4) Safety and order sustaining, 5) Precaution to accident.

  • 본 연구는 창업가 개인적 특성 요인, 경영 관리적 요인, 자본적 요인, 점포요인이 창업성과에 미치는 영향을 통하여 미용서비스업 분야의 소상공인지원정책이 창업성과에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 미용서비스업체의 창업성과에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 경영 관리적 요인의 하위변수인 인적자원관리와 창업초기 자본적 요인 그리고 점포요인이 창업성과에 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 미용서비스업체의 창업성과에 정부지원정책인 자금지원정책, 교육지원정책, 컨설팅지원정책이 조절효과가 있는가에 관한 연구내용은 다음과 같다. 정부자금지원정책, 교육지원정책, 컨설팅지원정책은 창업성과에 유의한 영향을 미치는 인적자원관리, 창업초기 자본금, 점포요인에 조절효과는 없는 것으로 분석되었다. 이는 자금지원이 정책적 효과를 입증하기 위한 제도적 지원이 아니라 창업자의 창업성과를 만들어가는 실효성 있는 지원방안이 필요로 하며, 교육지원정책과 컨설팅지원정책은 미용서비스업체의 특성을 고려한 정책적인 반영과 현실적인 교육지원과 컨설팅지원이 필요로 하다고 본다. 특히, 기존의 소상공인의 정책적 지원과는 다른 미용서비스업체의 실질적인 경영활동과 성과창출 과정을 반영하는 방향으로 확대될 필요가 있다고 하겠다.

한국 중소기업을 위한 경영.기술 지도사업의 효율화 방안 (A Study for Improving the Managerial and Technological Consultancy for Korean Medium Industries.)

  • Since medium and small manufacturing enterprises have , played a very important role not only in national economy but also in political and social relationships all of the countries in the world have paid favorable policies and programmes for protecting and promoting this sector. In Korea main ingredients of promoting policy for this sector consist of (1) encouragement to modernize facilities and rationalize operation (2) special priority in bank loan (3) promotion of industrial cooperatives (4) prevention of infringement by large industries. However, substantial investigation for problems incurred in medium industries has revealed that unless medium industries improve and raise their technological and managerial skillfulness for themselves all other measures are useless to solve the problems. This realization has induced all of the countries to render extension services on both of technology and management to assist and support their own effort for rationalization. Also in Korea during past 20 years many technical and managerial research institutes have rendered free consultancy services to medium industries by the support of government subsidy. Among them the joint extension services project performed by the Medium Industry Bank and UNDP during 1967 and 1975 might he listed as model case because of its broad and integrated activities and participation of foreign experts. We think many precepts should be :learned from the study of this project. Korean economy is expected to develop rapidly throughout coming'80 in spite of many obstacles, tut there is an apprehension that gap in of every facet between medium and large enterprises might he deepened and enlarged. To prevent the actualization of so-called dual structure of national economy and to promote stabilized medium industries with high added value productivity which are shown in well developed countries, consultancy assistance ana extension services should be strengthened much more than ever. Fortunately in 1978 legislation of "Medium and small industry promotion act" has paved the way for the systematic achivement of consultancy and extension services which shall be integrated by the government overall program. Under new framework thoughtfull accomplishment should be undertaken considering precious precepts obtained from past experience and failure. Special attention should be given to the technical liaison officer scheme, exclusive participation of only professional institutes, strict qualification and training for consultants for the future succsseful implementation.

How to Chase Changing Middle Managers′ Roles in the Informediary Era: Spiral Gap Analysis Model and Star Process

  • Rapid advances in information technology(IT) and telecommunication systems impact the number and quality of decision-making in organizations. Specifically, middle mangers must posses or develop the creativity necessary for survival in a constantly changing and volatile business environment. While tradition and conventional wisdom tell us that a middle managers role centers on control and monitoring, todays competitive arena has spun out a new managerial requirement developing and maintaining an innovative attitude. Problematically, most previous research has focused on the issue of changing decision authority (i. e. centralization/decentralization). Moreover, much previous research has also largely ignored environmental changes exposing new roles that middle managers have assumed. This study explores the means of identifying middle managerial roles, managerial possibilities involving the growing popularity of open systems through electronic brainstorming, and an adaptation and development of Diffusion Theory and attempt to counter criticism leveled at the theory's inability to provide an adequate explanation for diffusion of complex organizational technology. This paper develops three ideas: 1) Introducing the 'Chasing Curve' as a theoretical background. 2) Suggesting a new methodology using electronic brainstorming for analyzing the gap between Knowing (the perceived importance of middle managers' roles) and Doing (the degree of current status of middle managers' roles), which we term the 'Spiral Gap Analysis Model'. 3) Identifying a feedback system for minimizing the Knowing - Doing gap, aimed at development of IT strategic priority decision support, which we call this the 'Star Process'.
