  • Many tools in classical type for the production management have been used in industrial cells. In spite of their powerful logic and historical success, many appliers could not take but a little effectiveness in current economic conditions. The major reason is that the chronical production control methods are too narrow in its applicability to cover the problems occurred under such a high-speed changes. Therefore we need to develop the new concept of production management for the higher adaptability and outcome which can support vitablities to enterprises in severe condition. The essential points in changing the viewpoint of new production management concepts are valuable to the group of new management.

  • Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) reduces airline passengers, which leads to a sharp decline in airline sales. They are concerned about the dismissal or unpaid leave of the flight pilot and crew, and the management of the passengers is also under great stress. Stress management methods for COVID-19 can be divided into general stress management such as 'Let's change me', 'Let's find the source of life', and 'Let's ask for help', and mental health management in a disaster situation.

  • The spotlight is thrown on the ubiquitous technology these days, and diverse management technologies are proposed to efficiently manage the networks in the ubiquitous environment. Because each network has its unique management technology, the integrated management of complex networks is a very difficult challenge. In this paper, an integrated network management methodology is proposed to ensure the efficient management of different networks using ontology. Although the proposed integrated network management methodology is quite simple, the definition of this methodology is essential for the integrated network management. Using the $Prot\acute{e}g\acute{e}$ to Ontology development, the terms for the integrated network management were defined, along with the OWL and relevant rules, and several methods were implemented according to the proposed methodology. The process in this paper is considered essential for the network expansion and multiple network management.

  • Purpose: As the number of people directly employed in making things declines, the cost of labour as a proportion of the cost of production and delivery will diminish too. This will make to move the focus of quality management because new manufacturing techniques make it cheaper and faster to respond to changing local tastes Methods: This discussion is induced by understanding that change the point of view of quality. Results: Mark-processing method using a mold of 3D-printer is different from traditional manufacturing methods. Design, rapid prototyping of products produced by the right way, many changes in many industries will be created. Therefore, the design will be more emphasis on the importance of quality. Conclusion: As manufacturing goes digital, a Quality great change is now gathering pace. It will allow things to be made economically in much smaller numbers, more flexibly and with a much lower input of labour, thanks to new materials, completely new processes such as 3D printing. So we must change the vantage point of quality, from process to Design, R&D, and Delivery.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze CM effects between traditional and owner CM types according to project delivery methods in private projects. The research method of this study includes case studies and survey from construction management experts. The results of this study are as follows: 1)The owner CM type is proved to be much more effective than traditional method in various management function areas. 2)Planning, design, and quality management areas are proved to be very strong in the case of owner CM type.

  • We propose the improved channel assignment and management methods for an efficient use of traffic channel resource for supporting 12.2 Kbps, 64 Kbps, and 384 Kbps traffic with the different quality of service(QoS) in the radio network controller(RNC) in asynchronous IMT-2000 system. We consider two types of traffic channel block assignments for utilizing the traffic channel efficiently; the Completely Shared(CS) channel assignment and the Partially Dedicated and Partially Shared(PDPS) channel assignment. The former is that all traffic channel blocks are completely shared with all traffic types. The latter is that some traffic channel block is independently assigned to each traffic type and the other blocks are completely shared with some traffic type. We also propose the traffic channel management method which consists of the block and task management step, for efficiently assigning, releasing, and managing the channel resource. Finally, we evaluate the performance through various numerical examples when applying our proposed channel block assignment and resource management methods.

  • This is to review all empirical research articles on knowledge management activities in Korean government agencies. Analyzed were forty six articles published in some major journals for the last decade. The results of analysis show that they mainly focused on such topics as what factors have statistically significant influences upon the knowledge-based activities and whether knowledge activities have achieved the intended performance. More research attentions have been paid upon both knowledge sharing and knowledge creation activities. Most of the empirical studies are dependent upon hypotheses testing, data collection in questionnaire, and the use of multivariate statistical methods. Some suggestions for future research are to do research on more diverse topics, to utilize various research methods, and to make an integrated approach to the knowledge management.

  • Arid areas have a significant problem with water supply due to climate change and high water demand. More than 3,000 years ago, Persians started constructing elaborate tunnel systems called Qanat for extracting groundwater for agriculture and domestic usages in arid and semi-arid areas and dry deserts. In this paper, it has been demonstrated that ancient methods of water management, such as the Qanat system, could provide a good example of human wisdom to battle with water scarcity in a sustainable manner. The purpose of this paper is twofold: Review of old wisdom of Qanat-to review the history of this ancient wisdom from the beginning until now and study the Qanat condition at the present time and to explore why (notwithstanding that there are significant advantages to the Qanat system), it will no longer be used; and suggestions for future water management-to suggest a number of new methods based on new materials and technology to refine and protect Qanats. With these new suggestions it could be possible to refine and reclaim this method of extracting water in arid areas. Also, a new multi-purpose water management model has been introduced based on rainwater infiltration management over the Qanat system as the model can be applied either in dry or wet cities to solve current urban water problems.

  • The main purposes of this study were to survey and assess the current situation surrounding solid waste generation in school foodservices, to identify and evaluate the measures(reduction and recycling programs) taken by the foodservices for waste disposal, and to suggest appropriate reform measures to improve the current status, especially in terms of environmental preservation. Questionnaires on solid waste management practices were mailed to 206 school foodservice dietitians in the Kyungbuk region : a 64.0%(N = 130) response rate was obtained. While there are food waste and packaging waste generated from the foodservice operations, about a third(34.1%) of the foodservice operations were responsible for the disposal of both the food wastes and packaging wastes. About 90% of school foodservice managers were responsible for managing solid wastes. The primary recycling methods of leftovers generated from the school food service operations were livestock feed(76.0%). About 60.0% of school foodservice managers conducted the food waste reduction program. The performance by the foodservice managers in reducing the food waste was not satisfactory in several fields, such as developing environmentally friendly menus or abiding by the standard recipe, etc. In addition, the government assistance system was not properly working in the food service management. In conclusion, we should focus on increasing the performance in reducing the food waste by the foodservice managers, strengthening and facilitating the government assistance system for the food waste management and to develop education methods and education materials for food waste management.

  • This study aims to analyze chemotherapy medication safety management system and formulate efficient methods to solve problems in the medication safety practices through application of 6 sigma techniques. From the results of analysis conducted, targeting nurses, such 3 factors as process-related factor, nurse-related factor and environment-related factor were identified as problems of the chemotherapy medication safety management. Through analyzing the prior knowledge about chemotherapy mediation safety and level of performance of nurses, the educational performance to complement deficiencies were selected as the final improvement plan, and the improvement activities were completed through drawing out management plans that specify management methods and countermeasures in the event of problems.
