Configuration management is a process that establishes and maintains consistency of a product with its requirements and configuration information throughout its life cycle. This paper deals with the improvement of configuration management for weapon system. We analyze configuration management system, organization, human resource, regulations, and automated system of USA. Then we apply the ideas to our proposal for the improvement of configuration management. The proposal for the improvement of configuration management consists of three parts. The first one is the improvement of configuration management for weapon system by R&D, the second one is the improvement of configuration management for weapon system by foreign acquisition, and the last one is the improvement of configuration management in the aspects of organization, human resource, regulations, and automated system. This paper will be contributed to the activation of configuration management system and the efficiency of acquisition project management.

This parer proposes application of quality costing system in quality improvement area. Cost of quality in quality improvement area provides a valuable of both providing the need for improvement and giving a starting point for project. WQCMS(Web-based Q-Cost Management System) have ability to collect and analyze quality data generated from various different departments in the inside or outside of the enterprise without any limitations, if end-users are able to access wide area network. It provides the capability to integrate quality information from database and to generate various easy analysis reports to management's needs using built-in analysis tool modules with real-time. Web-based quality cost management system to measure the performance of quality improvement activities in the business firms. This paper proposes standard model for quality cost process in quality improvement area.

최근 주택보급률의 상승과 공동주택 물량의 증가로 인하여 공동주택에 대한 건설기업의 공사 비중이 높아지고 있으며, 공급자 위주에서 수요자 중심으로 분양시장이 변화함에 따라 고객 가치 향상을 위한 고객접점의 하자관리의 중요성이 부각되고 있다. 그러나 국내 공동주택태 하자관리는 하자관리 업무 프로세스 관리 미흡,하자관리 조직의 관리 부족, 하자 정보 피드백 부족, 시공단계의 하자관리를 위한 대비부족으보 동일 하자 요인이 반복적으로 발생하며 고객이 요구하는 품질 및 만족도에 부합하지 못하는 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구의 목적은 이러한 하자관리의 문제점을 해결하고자 하자관리 업무 프로세스 개선 모델을 제시한다. 본 연구에서 제시된 하자관리 업무 프로세스 개선 모델은 하자관리와 품질관리의 통합적 관리를 통하여 정보의 피드백을 실현시키며 하자관리와 품질관리의 업무프로세스를 정렬한다. 또한 부적합 처리 업무를 개선함으로써 하자 관리 관련 업무의 질적 향상을 도모하고 궁극적으로 품질 향상을 통한 건설업체의 고객 만족도 및 이미지 제고에도 크게 기여할수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

The air quality management in regional viewpoint was investigated for the improvement of national air pollution with various standard air pollutants. The focal region in this research is north-eastern region in asia where the many developing industries are located in neighboring countries. The major concerns were the trends of air quality in recent years and the state of environmental technologies and policies of air quality in each countries. The regional air quality management for the improvement of air pollution and the effective programs were suggested for the effective air quality management.

This study analyzed effective capacity building education plans for public institution management supervisors. A survey was conducted on 635 management supervisors of public institutions (99 institutions) subject to the safety management rating system to understand the characteristics of educational participants and the impact of educational satisfaction on professionalism improvement after capacity building education. As a result of statistical analysis, the professional improvement according to the affiliation of educational participants was higher in the workplace and construction site divisions than in the research facility division, and the professional improvement according to the working period was higher for more than 15 years than for less than 5 years and less than 15 years. In addition, the quality of education had a significant positive (+) effect on the degree of professional improvement. This study can be used as basic data for further research related to capacity building education for public institution management supervisors

Continuous Improvement is a central concept in the quality movement. In almost all descriptions of quality initiatives Continuous Improvement is central. Even in ISO 9000:2000 that has been recognised. In this paper we will discuss the role of continuous Improvement within the quality movement, its relation to knowledge management and, especially, its origin in pragmatic philosophy.

Continuous quality improvement is now the focus of research and application in quality engineering. To achieve continuous improvement, it's necessary to integrate quality tools and to plan, design and control the whole process of creating quality. Based on the extensive literature review and the philosophy of concurrent quality engineering, the paper analyzes the relationships among major quality tools such as QFD, FMEA, DOE and SPC and presents a basic model and structure for the integration of quality tools.

In order to present basic data for the balancing improvement of safety management level in domestic construction companies the improvement index and characteristic of safety management level are offered by comparing the year 2006's safety level with the year 2001's one. The companies under concern are classified into 51 large scale companies and 61 middle and small scale ones. The safety management level of both head office and construction sites is improved for all companies without regard to the scale. Specially, the improvement index of middle and small scale companies shows the higher rate than large ones and head office higher than construction sites.

Continuous quality improvement (CQI) has been promoting progresses of the social, and which is being studied and applied in much more widespread area at present. This paper systematically studies and reports research results of continuous quality improvement, involved in several key viewpoints of CQI such as the background of management and engineering philosophy on CQI, the objectives of CQI, the ways to implement CQI, the objects of CQI based on process. In terms of management methodology, the results of discussion on Benchmarking & CQI, standardization management and its certification & CQI, TQM pyramid & CQI and self-assessment & CQI etc. are reported. In quality engineering field, CQI culture of variation reduction is presented. Actually this paper is a comprehensive research project report of 'Continuous Quality Improvement System', supported jointly by NSFC and KOSEF.

The CEO leadership and employee's concerning and participation to quality management innovation activity is critical factor for improving the business performance. This empirical study is aims to find that whether the quality management activity is significant or not in the automotive parts suppliers. To perform this research, we distributed 250 sheets totally, and withdraw 194 sheets. We analysed 169 sheets that we could use for this research using SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 18.0. We had the results that CEO leadership is significantly positive effects on the employees's participation to quality management. And the result of process improvement have positively effective and significant effects on the product improvement result and business performance of firms.
