  • It is very important that reduce the maintenance cost and extend life time of the urban transit EMU through effective maintenance method research. The maintenance cost of the urban transit EMU shares 70%$\sim$80% of it's life cycle cost. It means that the maintenance cost is bigger than the introduction cost of the urban transit EMU. In this study, we were survey and analysis for the reliability centered maintenance of internal and external many industry parts. Finally, we suggested the reliability/availability management System of the Urban Transit EMU' Maintenance.

  • Long term capacity expansion planning has to be carried out to satisfy pre-defined system reliability criterion. For purpose of assessing system reliability, probabilistic simulation technique has been widely adopted. However, the way how to approximate generator outage, especially maintenance outage, in probabilistic simulation scheme can significantly influence on reliability assessment. Therefore, in this paper, 3 different maintenance approximation methods are applied to investigate the quantitative impact of maintenance approximation method on long term capacity expansion planning.

  • This paper proposes optimal maintenance strategies for power distribution systems that involve the use of the reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) method. We developed an improved decision model based on the Markov process. This model can obtain the optimal inspection interval and maintenance method based on the total expected cost. We used ordinal optimization for solving the optimal problem. Optimal maintenance strategies were presented by applying the developed method to the RBTS model. A B/C analysis proved that these strategies offer maximum benefit-to-cost.

  • Noise barrier is used for noise reduction method of traffic noise. The length and the total cost of that are increased in this national area. But, a maintenance management of noise barrier is not systematic, and the guideline of that is not prepared for maintenance mannual. The situations of existed installation and management of noise barriers installed at 3,619 positions were investigated by questionnarie and direct field survey. And comparisons with foreign management guideline of noise barrier were carried out. The results show that the improvement methods of maintenance management system such as practical checklist and required items for management of noise barrier were suggested.

  • The maintenance management in buildings has got more important by the increasing complexity of building sizes and use. Nowadays an expectation and a possibility of BIM technology become accepted as a new construction management method, therefore many studies and legal systems of it are being suggested actively. Although orders for BIM projects are supposed to be increasing, at present the BIM information accumulated from planning and design still doesn't have its continuity at the maintenance step after completion of construction in terms of LCC. Therefore according to bim information, we set a goal of developing apartment maintenance system which is able to maintain by user and administrator viewpoint.

  • The maintenance of generating units is implicitly related with power system reliability and has a tremendous bearing on the operation of the power system. A technique using a fuzzy search method which is based on fuzzy multi-criteria function has been proposed for GMS (generator maintenance scheduling) in order to consider multi-objective function. In this study, a new technique using combined fuzzy set theory and genetic algorithm(GA) is proposed for generator maintenance scheduling. The genetic algorithm(GA) is expected to make up for that fuzzy search method might search the local solution. The effectiveness of the proposed approach is demonstrated by the simulation results on a practical size test systems.

  • The time delay in servo control on LonWorks/IP Virtual Device Network (VDN) is highly stochastic in nature. LonWorks/IP VDN induced time delay deteriorates the performance and stability of the real-time distributed control system and hinders an effective preventive and predictive maintenance. Especially in real-time distributed servo applications on the factory floor, timely response is essential for predictive and preventive maintenance. In order to guarantee the stability and performance of the system for effective preventive and predictive maintenance, LonWorks/IP VDN induced time delay needs to be predicted and compensated for. In this paper position control simulation of DC servo motor using Zero Phase Error Tracking Controller (ZPETC) as a feedforward controller, and Internal Model Controllers (IMC) based on Smith predictor with disturbance observer as a feedback controller is performed. The validity of the proposed control scheme is demonstrated by comparing the IMC based on Smith predictor with disturbance observer.

  • There are many types of BOM in the industrial world. Types of BOM include EBOM, MBOM, As-Built BOM, As-Designed BOM, Generic BOM, Customized BOM, etc. We should define an adequate BOM for a given need or application. In this paper, we proposed BOM structure for EMU Maintenance Information System. The proposed BOM structure is composed of Location BOM, Equipment BOM, and Maintenance BOM. Location BOM is functional structure for someone to achieve specific works. Equipment BOM is a bill of an independent object to be repaired, and maintained. Maintenance BOM includes all parts to compose Equipment BOM. The BOM structure will be applied to configure sales orders, explode aggregate forecasts, and calculate standard cost.
