  • There are several methods capable of determining he magnitude of optical anisotropy, such as spectrometric ellipsometry and polarized light reflectometry. The interference method is estimated to be no influence of surface scattering. The magnitude of anisotropy is a-As/sub 40/Ge/sub 10/S/sub 35/Se/sub 15/ thin film is analyzed by the reflection interference analysis method based on the difference depending on a phase of s- and p-polarized light. The theoretically analyzed value is compared with the result obtained by the measured technique.

한반도에서 발생 가능한 최대지진에 대하여 (On the Maximum Probable Earthquakes in the Korean Peninsula)

  • For earthquake hazard estimation the data containing large historical events and recent complete observations with various uncertainty should be used together. The traditional maximum likelihood method is not adequate for this kind work. The maximum probable earthquakes in the Korean Peninsula are estimated by the method of an extended maximum likelihood estimation. The method can handle data with various uncertainty. The maximum probable earthquake in the Korean Peninsula is appeared to be 7.14$\pm$0.34 in magnitude.

  • In this paper, a new detection scheme, the detectable maneuver set (DMS) scheme, is proposed by incorporating the trade-off property between target maneuver magnitude and detection time delay. With this new detection scheme, small maneuvers can be effectively detected without enlarging window size. Simulation results show that the proposed DMS scheme gives better tracking performance.

  • This paper considers the cointegrating vector estimator in the error correction model with stationary covariates, which combines the stationary vector autoregressive model and the nonstationary error correction model. The cointegrating vector estimator is shown to follow the locally asymptotically mixed normal distribution. The variance of the estimator depends on the co­variate effect of stationary regressors, and the asymptotic efficiency improves as the magnitude of the covariate effect increases. An economic application of the money demand equation is provided.

  • 일본 주변에서 발생하는 대규모 지진의 규모를 신속하게 결정하기 위해 고주파에너지 방사지속시간을 이용한 규모산정법에 대하여 연구하였다. 이 방법을 지역지진 자료인 기상청 지진관측 자료에 적용하여 일본 주변에서 발생한 규모 6.0이상 14개 지진의 규모를 산정하였다. 관측된 속도 지진파형 자료에 2~4 Hz의 대역필터를 적용하여 고주파 에너지 지속시간을 계산한 다음 이를 이용하여 규모를 결정하였다. 그 결과, 규모가 커질수록 지진의 지속시간도 길어지는 경향을 보였으며, 지역지진자료를 사용하여 분석한 규모 값이 원거리지진자료로 얻은 규모와 적은 오차를 나타내었다. 이번 연구결과 일본 근해에서 발생한 대규모 지진에 대해서 기상청 지진자료를 이용하여 신속하게 규모를 산정하고 지진해일 유발가능성을 판단하는 것이 가능함을 알 수 있었다.

M-FSK 변조 신호 분류를 위한 효율적인 진폭 스펙트럼의 첨두 검출 방법 (An Efficient Peak Detection Algorithm in Magnitude Spectrum for M-FSK Signal Classification)

  • 이 논문에서는 M-FSK(frequency shift keying) 변조신호를 자동으로 분류하는데 필요한 효율적인 첨두 검출 방법을 제안하였다. 다른 디지털 변조신호와 FSK 신호는 진폭 스펙트럼의 특성을 이용하여 분류할 수 있다. FSK 신호의 진폭 스펙트럼은 다른 디지털 변조신호와 다르게 변조차수와 동일한 수의 첨두를 나타낸다. 일반적으로 신호의 첨두를 검출하기 위해서는 임계치가 필요한데, 변조인식과 같이 사전에 신호에 대한 정보가 없는 경우 임계치를 정하기 어려운 점이 있다. 이 논문에서는 진폭 스펙트럼의 히스토그램을 이용하여 자동으로 간단하게 임계치를 결정하는 방법을 제시하였다. 모의실험 결과 적은 수의 표본과 잡음이 많은 환경에서도 매우 우수한 분류확률을 나타내었다.

Estimation of Small Area Proportions Based on Logistic Mixed Model

  • We consider a logistic model with random effects as the superpopulation for estimating the small area pro-portions. The best linear unbiased predictor under linear mired model is popular in small area estimation. We use this type of estimator under logistic mixed motel for the small area proportions, on which the estimation of mean squared error is also discussed. Two kinds of estimation methods, the parametric bootstrap and the linear approximation will be compared through a Monte Carlo study in the respects of the normality assumption on the random effects distribution and also the magnitude of sample sizes on the approximation.

  • The SOC estimation method based on Kalman Filter(KF) requires the accurate battery model to express the electrical characteristics of the battery. However, the performance of KF SOC estimator can hardly be improved because of the nonlinear characteristic of the battery. This paper proposes the new KF SOC estimator of Lithium-Polymer Battery(LiPB), which considers the variation of parameters based on the hysteresis effect, the magnitude of SOC, the charging/discharging mode and the on/off load conditions. The proposed SOC estimation method is verified with the PSIM simulation combined the experimental data of the LiPB.

김해시 대기오염물질 배출량 산정 (Emission Estimation of Air Pollutants in Kimhae Area)

  • This study is to find out the emission estimation in Kimhae area. For this purpose, the Kimhae statistical yearbook and data of waste facilities issued by Kimhae city and the report on energy census issued by the ministry of trade, industry and energy are used. Each item for the emission estimation is $SO_2$, CO, HC, Nox, TSP from point, line, area sources. The results were as follows; The air pollutants with the highest mont of emission from the emission sources is CO followed by Nox, $SO_2$, TSP, HC in descending order of magnitude. The emission consists of 66.15% of line, 24.65% of area and 9.20% of point sources at Kimhae.

  • In this study, we proposed a specification which is able to estimate tile uncertainty more easily and quickly and also able to maintain a confidence level when measuring tile magnitude and phase of 1-port and 2-port transmission.reflection coefficient using a VNA and attached coaxial cable probes. This proposed specification is available when it needs extra special condition of uncertainty estimation and when there is no additional standard equipment like as beadless airline or mismatch standard at the measurement institute. We compared and examined this proposed uncertainty estimation method with recommended EA specification and Agilent specification. As a result, we think that this proposed specification can be used as a reference for uncertainty estimation and calculation of VNA system, that is, a reference based on the IS0/1EC 17025 requirements.
