  • This paper deals with the design and fabrication of a novel superconducting power supply system, and characteristics have been analyzed through experiments. Superconducting power supply consists of rotating and static parts, and superconducting magnet. In this experiment, the current-pumping characteristics have been analyzed with superconducting sheets placed in parallel within the static part of the machine. In addition, in order to observe the 3-dimensional flux distribution in the superconducting sheet, several hall-sensors were placed in it. With the flux distribution acquired, the effect of the flux on the superconducting sheet during the process of current pumping have been analyzed. Also, general operational characteristics of the superconducting power supply system have been investigated on the basis of the current and voltage data and magnetic field values acquired through the experiments. In this experiment, maximum pumping current has been achieved to about 1280 amps.

  • 13Cr-1.5Nb-Fe합금분말이 수분사법으로 제조되엇다. 제조된 합금뷴말을 압축기를 이용하여 ring현상으로 성형한후, 진공중에서 소결하였다. as-prepared 분말의 현상, 입도분포, 성분분석 및 포화자화물 조사하였으며, 소결된 시편의 투자율, 교류자기이력손실이 조사되었다. as-prepared 13Cr-1.5Nb-Fe합금분말의 포화자화는 160emu/g이었으며, 산소함유량은 약 600ppm이었다. 입도분포는 약 70$\mu$m에서 50%vol.을 나타낸다. 교류투자율은 소결온도 및 성형온도가 증가할수록 증가한다. 주파수 20KHz에서 교류자기이력손실은 12ton/cm2성령압력 및 120$0^{\circ}C$ 소결온도 조건에서 107W/cc로 가장우수하다.

기어 축의 기어 및 이 끝 위치 판별을 위한 유도형 센서시스템의 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on Development of Inductive Sensor System for Locating Geared Part and Gear Position in Geared Shaft)

  • An inductive sensor system is proposed to detect the gear location and angular position of a geared shaft for automatic feeding of the shaft into the proper cutting position of the other end. The system consists of two set of coils, bridge circuit, signal condition circuit, and microprocessor. The coil sensors of the system measure changes of inductance along with the surface position of a geared shaft. The inductance changes are transformed to voltages by the bridge circuit, which are then conditioned and processed for the recognition of the gear. In order to incorporate with the experimental results with the sensor system, a finite element method (FEM) simulation for the magnetic field between the sensor and the shaft was carried out. The predicted results and the experiments revealed that the sensor system was appropriate for sensing the position of gear and the angular position of gear tooth of a geared shaft.

  • This paper describes on the temperature characteristics of a SDB(silicon-wafer direct bonding) SOI(silicon-on-insulator) Hall sensor. Using the buried oxide $SiO_2$ as a dielectrical isolation layer, a SDB SOI Hall sensor without pn junction isolation has been fabricated on the Si/$SiO_2$/Si structure. The Hall voltage and the sensitivity of the implemented SOI Hall sensor show good linearity with respect to the applied magnetic flux density and supplied current. In the temperature range of 25 to $300^{\circ}C$, the shifts of TCO(temperature coefficient of the offset voltage) and TCS(temperature coefficient of the product sensitivity) are less than $\pm 6.7$$\times$$10^{-3}$/$^{\circ}C$ and $\pm 8.2$$\times$$10^{-4}$/$^{\circ}C$respectively. These results indicate that the SDB SOI structure has potential for the development of a silicon Hall sensor with a high-sensitivity and hip high-temperature operation.

DIFAR 빔형성 알고리듬을 이용한 협대역 음향신호의 방향성 추정 (The Bearing Estimation of Narrowband Acoustic Signals Using DIFAR Beamforming Algorithm)

  • In order to extract bearing information from the directional sensors of DIFAR(directional frequency analysis and recording) that is a kind of passive sonobuoy, the cardioid beamforming algorithm applicable to DIFAR system was studied in the frequency domain. the algorithm uses narrow-band signals propagated though the media from the acoustic sources such as ship machineries. The proposed algorithm is expected to give signal to noise ratio of 6dB when it uses the maximum response axis(MRA) among the Cardioid beams. The estimated bearings agree very well with those from GPS data. Assuming the bearings from GPS data to be real values, the estimation errors are analyzed statistically. The histogram of estimation errors in each frequency have Gaussian shape, the mean and standard deviation dropping in the ranges -1.1~$6.7^{\circ}$ and 13.3~$43.6^{\circ}$, respectively. Estimation errors are caused by SMR degradation due to propagation loss between the source and receiver, daily fluctuating geo-magnetic fields, and non-stationary background noises. If multiple DIFAR systems are employed, in addition to bearing, range information could be estimated and finally localization or tracking of a target is possible.

  • In this paper, a low cost bridgeless interleaved power factor correction topology for electric vehicle charger application is proposed. With the proposed topology the number of switches, inductors, current sensors and associated circuits can be reduced, thereby reducing the cost of the system as compared to the conventional bridgeless PFC circuit. The reduced input current ripple by the proposed interleaved topology makes it suitable for high power applications such as electric vehicle chargers since it can reduce the size of the inductor core and the Electro Magnetic Interference (EMI) problem. In the proposed topology only one current sensor is required. All the boost inductor currents can be reconstructed by sampling the output current and used to control the input current. Therefore the typical problem caused by the unequal current gain of each current sensor inherently does not exist in the proposed topology. In addition the current sharing between converters can be achieved more accurately and the high frequency distortion is decreased. The performance of the proposed converter is verified by the experimental results with a prototype of 6.6kW bridgeless interleaved PFC circuit.

  • 비정질 세선의 인장응력에 따른 교류자화과정에서의 최대자기유도 변화를 피측정 물리량으로 하는 가속도 센서에 관하여 연구를 하였다. 진동측정 주파수 범위는 진동감지소자의 질량에 의하여 결정되었으며, 질량이 $1{\times}10^{-3}kg$일 경우 DC에서 700 Hz, $5{\times}10^{-3}kg$일 경우 DC에서 200 Hz로 측정되었다. 가속도 센서의 선형도는 가속도의 범위가 5 g이내일 때 1% 이하였다.

  • The availability of the GPS signal has been expanded greatly in the field of society overall through the development and construction of the GNSS(Global Navigation Satellite System). Furthermore, in the military, aviation and field of space, the GPS signal is applied widely through the combination of INS consisting of gyroscope and accelerometer, IMU, AHRS with the addition of magnetic sensor. Particularly, the performance of these equipments or sensors is very important with GPS and PAR(Precision Approach Radar) in the flight control of the aircraft. This paper deals with MATLAB simulation and ROLSO(Reduced Order Luenberger State Observer) design to reduce the load of system and realize the stable lateral direction approach control in an appropriate time for reduction of the horizontal error which is importantly considered while an aircraft lands instead of the FOLSO(Full Order Luenberger State Observer) using all measurement values. Consequently, ROLSO is expected to be used for the aircraft's attitude control in the aircraft landing causing the burden to the pilots.

스트레스 모델을 이용한 터빈 축계의 비틀림 응력 예측 (Torsional stress prediction of turbine rotor train using stress model)

  • Torsional interaction between electrical network phenomena and turbine-generator shaft cause torsional stress on turbine-generator shaft and torsional fatigue fracture on vulnerable component, but the prediction of the torsional stress is difficult because the torsional stress is occurred instantly and randomly. Therefore continuous monitoring of the torsional stress on turbine-generator shaft is necessary to predict the torsional fatigue, but installing the sensors on the surface of the shaft directly to monitor the stress is impossible practically. In this study torsional vibration was measured using magnetic sensor at a point of turbine-generator rotor kit, the torsional stress of whole train of rotor kit was calculated using rotor kit's stress model and the calculated results were verified in comparison with the measured results using strain gauge at several point of turbine-generator rotor kit. It is expected that these experiment results will be used effectively to calculate the torsional stress of whole train of turbine-generator rotor in power plants.
