전력용 변압기 철심소음 저감기술에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Core Noise Reduction Techniques of Power Transformers)

  • According to the increase of power demand and expansion of downtown, it is necessary to install transformers additionally in operating substations and construct substations in residential area. But the public complaint is increased due to the transformer noise of the substation. KEPCO has used a vibration preventing pad, various soundproof walls and an encloser to transformers in outdoor substations, and a soundproof door, shutter and wind-path soundproof equipment in indoor substations to block the sound propagation of the transformers. But these noise reduction methods are not satisfied. It should be considered to reduce transformer noise itself. In this paper, we investigated core noise reduction techniques to develope a low noise transformer. The techniques to reduce core noise of the transformer are application of high permeability grain oriented silicon sheets, decrease of magnetic flux density of core, application of 6step-lap core stacking method, improvement of core binding method(binding addition, band fixing) and application of rubber damper in oder to reduce transmission of core vibration, etc.

  • This paper investigates the magneto-rheological(MR) mount for the marine diesel-generator(D/G) sets. Sometimes, significant vibrations over the allowable limit are observed on the D/G sets due to their huge excitation forces. Because the severe vibration can lead to structural damages to the D/G sets, it should be reduced below the limit. Although passive mounts with rubber isolators are usually used, the vibration reduction performance is not always sufficient. In addition, expecting that the vibration levels required by customers will get more severe, vibration reduction devices need to be developed. To the aim, the flow mode type of MR mount has been designed. Especially, the annular-radial configuration was adopted to enhance the damping force within the restricted space. The geometry of the mount has been optimized to obtain the required damping force and the magnetic field analysis has been carried out using ANSYS APDL. To verify the performance of the developed MR mount, an excitation test was conducted. In addition, they were applied to a medium-speed diesel generator and it was verified that about 40% of vibration reduction was yielded.

  • 형상 기억 고분자(shape memory polymers, SMPs)는 일정한 온도 또는 특정 자극이 주어졌을 때 가해진 일시적인 변형으로부터 처음 상태로 되돌아 오는 고분자를 말한다. 이러한 형상 기억 고분자는 각종 산업에서 자가 조립 또는 자가 수리가 가능한 스마트 고분자로 분류되어 고부가가치를 지니고 있다. 특히 형상 기억 고분자의 방열 성능, 전기 전도 성능, 물리적 성능, 광학 성능 등은 다양한 충전제를 도입함으로써 향상될 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 형상 기억 고분자의 기본 원리 및 최근의 형상 기억 고분자 나노 복합재료에 대해 알아본다.

자동차용 중공 구동축의 진동감쇠제어 연구 (A Study of Vibration Damping Control for Hollow Drive Shaft)

  • This paper presents a solution of the vibration reduction in the hollow shafts by using magentorehological( MR) elastomer. Proposed active damping structure is built by embedding the MR elastomers whose elastic modulus is controllable by an applied magnetic field. MR elastomers consist of synthetic rubber filled with micron-sized magnetizable particles. For reduction of vibration, dynamic damper of hollow shaft is designed by using MR elastomer and equipped in the hollow shaft for the application to drive shaft. Experiment results are shown through the experiments to confirm the effect of MR elastomer dynamic damper for vibration reduction. Thus, the designed damping structure can be applied to vibration absorber used in drive shafts as well as the propeller shafts.

Synthesis and Properties of Combined Main-Chain/Side-Chain Liquid Crystalline Polymers with Cholesteryl and Azobenzene Groups

  • Main-chain/side-chain liquid crystalline polymers (MCSCLCPs) combined with an azobenzene group and a cholesteryl group were synthesized to impart light and temperature sensitivity to the polymer. The polymers were designed with the azobenzene unit as the mesogenic group of the main-chain and various compositions of the azobenzene and cholesteryl units as the mesogenic group of the side-chain. The chemical structures and physical properties of the synthesized polymers were investigated by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, differential scanning calorimetry, thermogravimetric analysis, polarized optical microscopy, and ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis) spectroscopy. All the MCSCLCPs were amorphous and exhibited enantiotropic liquid crystal phases; these polymers achieved the nematic phase with increasing content of the azobenzene group and exhibited the cholesteric phase with weak liquid crystallinity as the content of the cholesteryl group was increased. Furthermore, the polymers containing the azobenzene group showed photoisomerization when exposed to UV-Vis light, and the CP-A3C7 and CP-A5C5 polymers exhibited thermochromism in the temperature range of the liquid crystal phase.

저밀도 실리카 중공미세구 표면에 Co 박막의 코팅에 의한 경량 전파흡수체 제조 (Fabrication of Lightweight Microwave Absorbers with Co-coated Hollow Silica Microspheres)

  • 경량 전파흡수체 구현 방안의 하나로 저밀도(약 0.2g/cc) 중공미세구 표면에 수 ${\cal}um$ 두께의 Co 피막을 무전해 도금에 의해 코팅하고, 고주파 전자기 특성 및 전파흡수특성을 조사하였다. Co 도금은 활성화 처리와 도금공정 2단계 과정을 거쳐 시행되었다. 도금공정의 반복에 의해 두께 $2{\~}3\mu$m의 균일한 Co 피막을 얻을 수 있었다. 이 분말을 실리콘 고무와 혼합하여 복합체를 제조하고, 고주파 전자기 물성 및 전파흡수특성을 회로망 분석기로 측정하였다. Co 피막의 강자성 특성 및 전도 특성에 의해 높은 자기손실 및 유전상수를 얻을 수 있었다. 이와 같은 전자기적 특성에 의해 GHz 대역에서 우수한 전파흡수특성(두께 2.0$\~$2.5mm, 전파흡수능 20dB 이상)이 확인되었다. 특히 Co 도금 중공미세구의 밀도(0.84 g/cc)는 페라이트(5.0 g/cc)에 비해 약 1/6에 불과하기 때문에 경량 전파흡수체로서 응용가치가 매우 높음을 제시할 수 있었다.

폐 카본슬러지의 재활용을 위한 不純物 분리 제거 (Removal of Impurities from Waste Carbon Sludge for the Recycling)

  • 본 연구는 폐 카본 슬러지로부터 불순물을 제거하여 고품위 수성 카본을 제조하고자 수행되었다. 수성 카본 슬러지는 NH$_3$를 제조하기 위해서 물의 불꽃 반응에 의해 수소가스를 생산하는 동안 부산물로써 다량 발생된다. 발생된 카본 슬러지는 황, 철, 애쉬 등의 다량의 불순물을 함유하고 있어 탈수 후 일부 저품위 카본 원료로 사용되고, 나머지는 소각되어지고 있다. 고품위 수성 카본은 기능성 카본 블랙으로써 제조가 어려울 뿐만 아니라 제조시 환경오염문제와도 밀접한 관련이 있기 때문에 오일블랙에 비해 3~5배의 가격이 비싸다. 고품위 수성 카본은 일반적으로 밧데리, 플라스틱 착색제, 전선피복 고무 첨가제 등에 사용되어지고 있다. 수성카본 슬러지를 전도체로써 사용하기 위해서는 99%이상의 탄소와 매우 낮은 불순물을 함유하고 있어야한다 따라서 제품에 막대한 영향을 미치게되는 불순물의 제거가 필수적으로 이루어져야 한다. 본 연구는 폐카본슬러지로부터 불순물을 제거하기 위해서 분쇄, 자력선별. 부유선별, 초음파처리 등을 포함한 불순물 정제실험을 수행하였다. 실험결과 전도체로써 사용하기 위한 조건을 만족하는 애쉬0.01%, 철 0.01%, 황 0.3%이하로 대부분의 불순물을 제거하였고, 비표면적은 930 m$^2$/g을 나타냈다.

BaTi0.5Co0.5Fe11O19 조성을 갖는 M형 바륨 페라이트의 Ka-밴드 전파흡수특성 (Microwave Absorbing Properties of M-type Barium Ferrites with BaTi0.5Co0.5Fe11O19 Composition in Ka-band Frequencies)

  • Ka 대역 (26.5~40 GHz)용 전파흡수체의 자성손실재로 Ti-Co가 치환된 M형 바륨 페라이트($BaTi_{0.5}Co_{0.5}Fe_{11}O_{19}$)를 제조하고, 페라이트-고무 복합체에서 자기적 성질 및 전파흡수특성에 관해 조사하였다. M형 바륨 페라이트에서 Ti-Co가 치환됨에 따라 보자력의 감소가 급격히 일어났다. 이는 c 축으로 강한 자기이방성을 갖던 M형 바륨 페라이트의 자기이방성이 a-b 면내 자기이방성으로 변화함에 기인한다. 이에 따라 자연공명주파수를 Ka 주파수 대역으로 이동시킬 수 있었고, 복소투자율의 주파수 분산특성의 제어가 가능하였다. Ti-Co가 치환된 M형 바륨 페라이트 복합체의 경우 Ka 대역에서 임피던스 정합조건을 만족시킬 수 있었다. 흡수대역폭 증가에 페라이트/고무 함량비(F/R)의 조절이 매우 중요함을 제시하였다. F/R = 4의 함량비에서 ?20㏈ 이하의 반사손실을 갖는 흡수대역폭이 7 GHz 정도로 매우 우수한 광대역 전파흡수특성을 보였다. F/R 비가 증가할수록 정합주파수 및 정합두께는 감소하였으나, 흡수대역폭은 줄어들었다.

식물유 기반 에스토라이드 합성 및 윤활 특성 (Synthesis and Lubricant Properties of Vegetable Oil based on Estolides)

  • Several researches are focused on improving the value of fine chemicals based on biomass resources due to environmental and other concerns associated with the use of petroleum-based products. Therefore, the synthesis and application of estolides derived from plant-based waste oil materials and their application as lubricants and as processing oil for butyl rubber products have been studied. Four kinds of estolide were prepared with conversions of 71~92% over 24h using various vegetable oils, as determined by size exclusion chromatography (SEC) and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy. FT-IR spectroscopy determines the esterification of estolides using 2-ethylhexyl alcohol. The estolides have iodine values of 35~90, α-ester/α-acid ratios of 0.45~0.55, and total acid number of 114~134 mg KOH g–1. Four ball wear tests show that the wear scar diameters (WSDs) of estolides as base oil significantly decreased to 0.328~0.494 mm, compared to WSDs of 0.735 and 0.810 mm of WSD for 150N and Yubase 6, respectively, as general base oil. Thus, the estolides have better wear resistance and satisfying design objectives for the engineering of a variety of lubricant base oils.

Current Status of Tire Recycling in Taiwan

  • There are more than 15 millions cars or motors in Taiwan. According to the statistics from Environmental Protection Administration, the number of resulting scrap tires are near 110 thousand tons each year. The tire recycle programs in Taiwan were first conducted in 1989 and executed by ROC Scrap Tire Foundation. However, the current efficiency of the tire recycling industry still needs to be improved to minimize the environmental problem or fire hazards caused by scrap tires storage. Ten major tire-recycling factories are surveyed in this study. The investigations include the source of scrap tire, the shredding process, the market of products, the management of wastes disposal, and the difficulties of these sectors. As the varieties of the shredding machines of the recycle factories, there are three kinds of final products which include powder, granular, and chips. The wastes, wires and fibers, produced by the shredding process are the major problems fur all the factories. The percentage of the wire and fiber removal from rubbers still needs to be increased. The best approaches found in this study to increase the efficiency of scrap tire recycling processes are proposed which include the improvement of magnetic separation system fiber/rubber separation system and the minimization of waste disposal. A categorized standard of the processing outputs is suggested as a reference for the decision-making of the tire-recycling factories.
