  • This paper presents a two Hall sensor method for rotor angle detection in permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM). To minimize the implementation complexity, the system is designed to measure the edge field of permanent magnet pieces. However, there are nonlinearities in the measured values of the edge field. In this work, an angle correction algorithm is proposed, and the improvements in accuracy are verified through experiments. Finally, a field orientation controller is constructed with the proposed angle detection algorithm.

  • This paper is related to remote meter-reading using magnetic sensor. Scan system which is developed recently has week point of temperature, humidity, dust, oscillation To solve these problems, this study used magnetic action to measure the consumption of gas. Gas consumption was detected by interaction of a permanent magnet and hall element. Permanent magnet was pasted on rolling change-gear in normal gas meter and hall sensor was pasted on the external wall of normal gas meter. This experiment proved high accuracy and wasn't influenced by temperature, humidity, oscillation and dust

  • This paper presents the sensorless position control of the Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) using stator flux estimation and Phase Lock Loop (PLL). The field current and the torque current are required in order to perform the vector control of the PMSM. At this time, it is necessary for the torque to know the exact position of the magnetic flux generated by the permanent magnet, because the torque must be applied torque current in the direction orthogonal to the permanent magnet. In general the speed of the PMSM is controlled by using a magnetic position sensor. However, this paper, we estimates the stator flux by using the PLL method without the magnetic position sensor. This method is simple and easy, in addition it has the advantage of a stabile estimation of the rotor. Finally the proposed algorithm was confirmed by experimental results and showed the good performance.

  • The disc type driver with Nd-Fe-B magnet is one of the servo drivers, which have many applications in various fields. For efficient and easy, it is desirable to be small and thin in its size. However, the driver which uses a conventional wire reel is very difficult to be reduced in its volume. one of alternatives to achieve the above goal is the thick film multilayer winding. The winding method will significantly reduce the total volume of the driver. Therefor this paper proposed the thick film multilayer winding methods and consists of parts: design manufactures, properties and applications.

  • This paper deals with charging and persistent-current mode operating characteristics of BSCCO magnet load using high-temperature superconducting (HTS) power supply. The HTS power supply consists of two heater-triggered switches, an iron-core transformer with the primary copper winding and the secondary BSCCO solenoid, and a BSCCO magnet load. The magnet load was fabricated by double pancake winding and its inductance is about 21 mH. A hall sensor was installed at the middle of the magnet load to measure the current in the load. In order to investigate the efficient pumping characteristics, operating tests of heater-triggered switch with respect to dc heater current were carried out, and the electromagnet current was determined by considering saturation characteristics of its iron core. The saturation characteristics of charged current in the magnet load were observed with respect to various pumping periods: 12 s, 14 s, 24 s and 32 s. After charging the magnet load, the persistent current was measured. The operating characteristics of the persistent current mode were mainly determined by joint resistance and magnet load.

  • In recent years, permanent magnets such as IPM (Interior Permanent Magnet) motors or SPM (Surface Permanent Magnet) motors that can obtain high efficiency and power density by inserting rare earth permanent magnets into the rotor are used. Research on the used electric motor is being actively conducted. Since it uses a permanent magnet, it has the advantage of high efficiency and high power density compared to reluctance motors and induction motors, but by inserting a permanent magnet into the rotor, it operates at high speeds and decreases reliability due to demagnetization of the permanent magnets, and increases the cost of rare earth metals. In this paper, in accordance with the development of future technology that can replace rare-earth permanent magnet motors and technological preoccupation of rare-earth reduction type motors and de-rare-earth motors, switched reluctance motors that do not require permanent magnets (Switched Reluvtance Motors) Motor, SRM) to drive driving control. Using the 3-phase SRM library provided by the PSIM simulation program, we will study the driving and control system modeling of SRM using the rotor position information sensor.

  • Recently, as various wearable devices and IoT technologies have emerged and been applied to real applications, various sensors have been developed to satisfy their purposes and applied. In even In medical applications, IoT technologies have been applied gradually, and particularly, magnets and magnetic sensors have already been playing an important role in the medical industry. In wrist rehabilitation, this kind of sensor technology has enabled us to easily and conveniently measure wrist movement and gestures because there are no tangled lines required between the magnet and sensor. However, one of the drawbacks is that nonlinear output is generated because of the characteristics of a magnetic field. Also, the movement of the wrist joint involves small bones, and so it is not easy to simply model the movement. In order to resolve these issues and accurately measure sensor data, a calibration procedure is inevitable in the measurement. Thus, this paper proposes a practical model and simple calibration methods for measuring the distance between a magnet and a magnetic sensor.

  • Lately, many approaches of speed sensorless control method for Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor(IPMSM) ha, been developed. This paper proposes a novel sensorless algorithm for speed estimation of IPMSM. First of all, proposes sensorless method estimates flux of rotor using foundational voltage equation of IPMSM and then estimates position and speed of rotor using Phase Locked Loop(PLL). Proposed sensorless algorithm demonstrated through simulation using Matlab simulink and experiment.
