AE 감시 장치를 이용한 센터리스 연삭 공적의 감시 (Process Monitoring of Centerless Grinding Using an AE Monitoring Unit)

  • Since grinding is a more complicated process than any other machining process, it is hard for operators to setup a grinding machine properly and to find out correctly abnormal grinding states resulting in damages to products. Abnormalities would be caused by improper setup, improper dressing/grinding conditions which are likely to be occurred without skilled operators' attention. In this study, an AE monitoring unit is developed to help operators conduct with ease setup, and set properly dressing/grinding conditions. AErms(root-mean-square) signal being monitored, on-going process states during grinding and dressing is visualized for machine operators to judge whether the processes are in good condition. Evaluation tests are carried out on centerless grinding machines-both cylindrical and internal. The developed AE monitoring system is verified to be useful to check grinding/dressing states in process even in the centerless grinding of which process is most unknown among various grinding methods because of the complex structure.

  • 본 연구에서는 회전기계에서 발생할 수 있는 고장에 대한 안전진단에 대한 사례연구이다. 각각의 회전기계에 대하여 진동분석을 통한 고장발생유무를 각종의 측정 데이터를 이용하여 분석하여 향후에 발생할 수 있는 고장에 대한 안전진단에 대한 방법을 연구하였다. 본 연구에서 제안한 상태 감시 및 진단 방법을 적용한 결과, 회전기계의 추후 고장을 예측할 수 있었다.

  • Recently, with the development of NC and CNC machine tools and the high labor wage, the cutting process requires the high speed and automatic system which uses industrial robots and the flexible manufacturing system(FMS) that combines several machine tools. In this system, the whole system can be influenced by just one of the machin tools. So it needs to detect a problem and to solve it immediately In in-process state. The monitoring system through measuring the motor current with current sensor has been attracting the attention of lots of researchers view of its low cost and flexibility. By using the pattern discriminant with the detected three-phase-current signal, that is, $I_{RMS}$, a system which can monitor and analyze abnormal machining process condition of the workpiece during the machining will be able to be developed in this research.h.

  • This paper introduces multichannel blind source separation (BSS) and multichannel blind deconvolution (MBD) based on higher order statistics of signals from convolutive mixtures. In particular, we are concerned with the case that the number of inputs is the same as the number of outputs. Simulations for two input two output cases are carried out and their performances are assessed. One of the major applications of those sequential algorithms (BSS and MBD) is demonstrated through the fault signal detection from only a single measurement of rotating machine, which offers a certain degree of practicability in the engineering field such as machine health monitoring or condition monitoring.

  • This study intend to make easy modification, even if there is a new job or structure change, by modularizing program and computerize and automation of production control management used in CIM. under the condition where manager control production on the job-site, for increasing connection with other operation and management on the computer by monitoring center computer, recognizing information by computer is needed, it is possible by converting transaction. So this study goal is to make delivery control and order control fast and accurate by finding dynamic history of machine and production information in enterprise without input production and quality information by themselves with quality information system. So production increase and quality improvement are possible by diminishing manager's and producer's work with the result of the study combining POP and CIM, after that, in e-business and m-business period that every enterprise must pass, customer satisfaction and sales promotion are possible with employee's computerizing minds. these study result also can knowledge process condition with theoretical class and have a power in finding a solution with foundation of theoretical knowledge.

  • A new cutting force estimating approach and machining state monitoring examples are presented which uses a cylindrical displacement sensor built into the spindle. To identify the tool-spindle system dynamics with frequency up to 2 kHz, a home-built electro-magnetic exciter is used. The result is used to build an algorithm to extract the dynamic cutting force signal from the spindle error motion; because the built-in spindle sensor signal contains both spindle-tool dynamics and tool-workpiece interactions. This sensor is very sensitive and can measure broadband signal without affecting the system dynamics. The main characteristic is that it is designed so that the measurement is irrelevant to the geometric errors by covering the entire circumferential area between the target and sensor. It is also very simple to be installed. Usually the spindle front cover part is copied and replaced with a new one with this sensor added. It gives valuable information about the operating condition of the spindle at any time. It can be used to monitor cutting force and chatter vibration, to predict roughness and to compensate the form error by overriding spindle speed or feed rate. This approach is particularly useful in monitoring a high speed machining process.

광 흐름과 학습에 의한 영상 내 사람의 검지 (Human Detection in Images Using Optical Flow and Learning)

  • Human detection is an important aspect in many video-based sensing and monitoring systems. Studies have been actively conducted for the automatic detection of humans in camera images, and various methods have been proposed. However, there are still problems in terms of performance and computational cost. In this paper, we describe a method for efficient human detection in the field of view of a camera, which may be static or moving, through multiple processing steps. A detection line is designated at the position where a human appears first in a sensing area, and only the one-dimensional gray pixel values of the line are monitored. If any noticeable change occurs in the detection line, corner detection and optical flow computation are performed in the vicinity of the detection line to confirm the change. When significant changes are observed in the corner numbers and optical flow vectors, the final determination of human presence in the monitoring area is performed using the Histograms of Oriented Gradients method and a Support Vector Machine. The proposed method requires processing only specific small areas of two consecutive gray images. Furthermore, this method enables operation not only in a static condition with a fixed camera, but also in a dynamic condition such as an operation using a camera attached to a moving vehicle.
