볼링 선수 상해 경험과 유형에 따른 근력과 비대칭 비교 분석 (Comparison Analysis of Muscle Strength and Asymmetry according to Bowler Injury Experience and Type)

  • 본 연구는 볼링 선수의 상해 경험과 유형에 따라 상 하지 근력과 좌우 비대칭 차이를 살펴보고자 하였다. 본 연구 대상자는 상지 상해 경험 집단(upper body injury group, [UG], n=16)과 하지 상해 경험 집단(low body injury group, [LG], n=8), 상해 미경험 집단(non injury group, [NG], n=15)으로 선정하였다. 볼링 선수의 상 하지 근력은 Manual Muscle Tester 01165 (Lafayette Instrument Company, USA)로 등척성 최대 근력(Isometric strength)을 측정하였으며, 비대칭 지수(symmetry index, [SI])를 산출하였다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 하지 근력의 좌우 비대칭 지수는 엉덩관절의 신전과 외측회전 최대근력에서 상해 무경험 집단이 하지 상해 경험 집단에 비하여 통계적으로 크게 나타났다(p<.05). 위 결과를 통하여 하지 근력의 좌우 대칭이 하지 상해와 밀접한 관련이 있다고 판단되며, 상해 예방을 위해 하지 근력의 좌우 대칭 훈련이 필요할 것으로 판단된다.

큐멘(Cumene)의 연소특성치의 측정 및 예측 (Measurement and Prediction of the Combustible Properties of Cumene)

  • 공정의 안전을 위해서 취급물질의 정확한 연소특성치의 사용은 매우 중요하다. 화학산업에서 다양하게 사용되고 있는 큐멘의 안전한 취급을 위해서 인화점과 최소자연발화온도를 측정하였다. 폭발하한계는 실험에서 얻어진 하부인화점을 이용하여 계산하였다. 큐멘의 Setaflash 밀폐식은 $31^{\circ}C$, Pensky-Martens 밀폐식에서는 $33^{\circ}C$ 그리고 Tag 개방식에서는 $43^{\circ}C$, Cleveland 개방식에서는 $45^{\circ}C$로 측정되었다. ASTM E659 장치에 의한 큐멘의 최소자연발화온도는 $419^{\circ}C$로 측정되었다. 측정된 하부인화점 $31^{\circ}C$에 의한 폭발하한계는 0.87 vol%로 계산되었다. 폭발한계는 측정된 인화점이나 문헌에 제시된 인화점을 이용하여 예측가능함을 알 수 있었다.

테트랄린의 연소특성치 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study of the Evaluation of Combustion Properties of Tetralin)

  • In the industrial chemical process involving combustible materials, reliable safety data are required for design prevention, protection and mitigation measures. The accurate combustion properties are necessary to safely treatment, transportation and handling of flammable substances. The combustion parameters necessary for process safety are lower flash point, upper flash point, fire point, lower explosion limit(LEL), upper explosion limit(UEL)and autoignition temperature(AIT) etc.. However, the combustion properties suggested in the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) are presented differently according to the literatures. In the chemical industries, tetralin which is widely used as a raw material of intermediate products, coating substances and rubber chemicals was selected. For safe handling of tetralin, the lower and flash point, the fire point, and the AIT were measured. The LEL and UEL of tetralin were calculated using the lower and upper flash point obtained in the experiment. The flash points of tetralin by using the Setaflash and Pensky-Martens closed-cup testers measured $70^{\circ}C$ and $76^{\circ}C$, respectively. The flash points of tetralin using the Tag and Cleveland open cup testers are measured $78^{\circ}C$ and $81^{\circ}C$, respectively. The AIT of the measured tetralin by the ASTM E659 apparatus was measured at $380^{\circ}C$. The LEL and UEL of tetralin measured by Setaflash closed-cup tester at $70^{\circ}C$ and $109^{\circ}C$ were calculated to be 1.02 vol% and 5.03 vol%, respectively. In this study, it was possible to predict the LEL and the UEL by using the lower and upper flash point of tetralin measured by Setasflash closed-cup tester. A new prediction method for the ignition delay time by the ignition temperature has been developed. It is possible to predict the ignition delay time at different ignition temperatures by the proposed model.

철도 차축재료의 프레팅 피로거동 평가 (Evaluation of Fretting Fatigue Behavior for Railway Axle Material)

  • Fretting is a kind of surface damage mechanism observed in mechanically jointed components and structures. The initial crack under fretting damage occurs at lower stress amplitude and lower cycles of cyclic loading than that under plain fatigue condition. This can be observed in automobile and railway vehicle, fossil and nuclear power plant, aircraft etc. In the present study, railway axle material RSA1 used for evaluation of fretting fatigue life. Plain and fretting fatigue tests were carried out using rotary bending fatigue tester with proving ring and bridge type contact pad. Through these experiments, it is found that the fretting fatigue limit decreased about 37% compared to the plain fatigue limit. In fretting fatigue, the wear debris is observed on the contact surface, and oblique cracks at an earlier stage are initiated in contact area. These results can be used as useful data in a structural integrity evaluation of railway axle.

사이클로펜탄올의 연소특성치의 측정 (The Measurement of Combustible Properties of Cyclopentanol)

  • 사이클로펜탄올의 안전한 취급을 위해, 폭발한계는 문헌을 통해 고찰하였으며, 인화점과 발화지연시간에 의한 자연발화온도는 장치를 이용하여 측정하였다. 그 결과, 사이클로펜탄올의 밀페식 장치에 의한 하부인화점은 $49^{\circ}C$로 측정되었으며, 개방식에서는 $59^{\circ}C$로 측정되었다. ASTM E659 장치를 사용하여 자연발화온도와 발화지연시간을 측정하였고, 사이클펜탄올의 최소자연발화온도는 $363^{\circ}C$로 측정되었다.

  • Aminated oilve oil derivative as the new organic disperse phases of the water soluble metal working fluid has been synthesized and tribological properties of the aqueous solutions composed of aminated olive oil derivative investigated using Four Ball Wear Tester and Falex EP Tester. The formulated aqueous solutions showed higher antiwear and extreme pressure properties and also lower friction coefficient. On the basis of the the results, water soluble aminated oilve oil derivative showed excellent tribological properties due to the polarizability of oleic acid derivative composed of majority part in oilve oil.

  • A simple method of on-line stiffness measurement using the wrinkling behavior of paper web between two rollers was presented. The theory and the equation were presented, and lab and mill tests were executed. We called the stiffness measured by Taber tester as 'Taber stiffness', and by tension wrinkling measurement as 'wrinkle stiffness', respectively. Lab experimental results showed Taber and wrinkle stiffness are almost equivalent. In the mill experiment, we could measure the stiffness in the wet state and in the dry state. The dry wrinkle stiffness was close to the taber stiffness, but the wet wrinkle stiffness was much lower than the corresponding taber stiffness.

밀폐계 측정장치를 이용한 물-노말프로판올 계의 인화점 (Flash Points of Water+n-Propanol System Using Closed-Cup Measurement Apparatus)

  • The Flash Point is one of the most important combustible properties used to determine the potential for fire and explosion hazards of chemical materials. An accurate knowledge of the flash point is important in developing appropriate preventive and control measures in industrial fire protection. The lower flash points for the Water + n-Propanol systems were measured by using Pensky-Martens closed cup tester. The experimental data were compared with the values calculated by the laws of Raoult and van laar equation. The calculated values based on the van Laar equation were found to be better than those based on the Raoult's law.

The Measurement and Prediction of Minimum Flash Point Behaviour for Flammable Binarry Solution Using Pensky-Martens Closed Cup Tester

  • The flash point of liquid solution is one of the most important flammability properties that used in hazard and risk assessments. Minimum flash point behaviour (MFPB) is showed when the flash point of a liquid mixture is below the flash points of the individual components. In this paper, the lower flash points for the flammable binary system, n-decane+n-octanol, were measured by Pensky-Martens closed cup tester. This binary mixture exhibited MFPB. The measured flash points were compared with the values calculated by the Raoult's law and the optimization method using van Laar and UNIQUAC equations. The optimization method were found to be better than those based on the Raoult's law, and successfully estimated MFPB. The opimization method based on the van Laar equation described the experimentally-derived data more effectively than was the case when the prediction model was based upon the UNIQUAC.

Setaflash 장치를 이용한 노말 알코올류의 상부인화점 측정에 의한 폭발상한계의 예측 (Prediction of Upper Explosion Limits(UEL) by Measurement of Upper Flash Point Using Setaflash Apparatus for n-Alcohols)

  • Explosion limit and flash point are the major combustion properties used to determine the fire and explosion hazards of the flammable substances. In this study, in order to predict upper explosion limits(UEL), the upper flash point of n-alcohols were measured under the VLE(vapor-liquid equilibrium) state by using Setaflash closed cup tester(ASTM D3278). The UELs calculated by Antoine equation using the experimental upper flash point are usually lower than the several reported UELs. From the given results, using the proposed experimental and predicted method, it is possible to research the upper explosion limits of the other flammable substances.
