DPF 재생이 경유자동차 배출특성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of DPF Regeneration on Emission Characteristics in Diesel Engines)

  • In this study, characteristics of gaseous pollutants and particulate matter were investigated on the condition of DPF regeneration and normal DPF condition. THC, CO, $CO_2$, NOx, and $CH_4$ were analyzed by MEXA-7200H and CVS-7100 respectively. Particulate Matter (PM) was measured by difference in weight of Membrane filter. Particle Number (PN) was measured by CPC analyzer. And Sulfate, Nitrate, Organic were measured by Aerosol Mass Spectrometer (AMS). As a result, gaseous pollutants and particulate matter were detected in higher concentration during DPF regeneration than normal DPF condition. And the PN increased by 94%, the fuel consumption was reduced by 29% on DPF generation process. Sulfate, Nitrate and Organic were undetectable level during normal DPF condition. But the highest concentration of Sulfate, Nitrate and Organic were measured as $100{\mu}g/m^3$, $20{\mu}g/m^3$ and $15{\mu}g/m^3$ respectively on DPF regeneration condition. VOCs concentrations (Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene, Xylene) were analyzed by using PTR-MS. Benzene and Toluene emission have little or no change depending on DPF regeneration. But the Ethylbenzene and Xylene have comparatively low emissions on DPF regeneration.

합천호의 TOC 분포 특성 (Characteristics of TOC Distribution in Lake Hapcheon)

  • This study was conducted to estimate the distribution characteristics and budget of organic matter in the Lake Hapcheon. In the dry season, the concentration ranges of organic carbons were similar, but in the rainfall season, it showed about double concentrations. Changes of vertical water quality in the lake, there were no big differences with the concentration by the depth. However, it tends to be relatively high on the surface, a little low on the mid-depth and high in the lake bottom. DOC rate at TOC, it was lower than POC rate at inflow and DOC rate was higher than POC rate in the lake and discharging water. R-DOC accounted for more 80% of DOC rate in all investigated areas, therefore we judge that this R-DOC is to increase the organic carbon pollution gradually. As the result of the calculated organic carbon budget in the Lake Hapcheon, the amount of allochthonous, autochthonous and release were 3,552, 3,288, 228 tonC/year, respectively. the amount of discharge, decomposition and sedimentation were 504, 1,344, 5,520 tonC/year, respectively. According to this investigation, the changed amount of organic matter in the Lake Hapcheon recorded -300 tonC/year with the increase of 7,068 tonC/year and the decrease of 7,368 tonC/year.

철 석출장치가 결합된 무산소.호기공정에 의한 인 제거 특성 (Phosphorus Removal (Characteristics by Anoxic Oxic Process) by Anoxic and Oxic Processed Combined with Iron Electrolysis)

  • In this study, the (phosphorous removal) the characteristics of phosphorous removal due to (the iron compound precipitated) iron compound precipitation by iron electrolysis in (the anoxic. oxic process) anoxic and oxic processes (equipped with the) in an iron precipitation device were analyzed. During the device operation period, the average concentration of BOD, T-N, and T-P were 219.9 mg/l, 54.6 mg/l and 6.71 mg/l, respectively. The BOD/$COD_{Cr}$ ratio was 0.74, and the BOD/T-N and BOD/T-P ratios were 4.0 and 32.8, respectively. The removal rate of (the organic matters) organic matter (BOD and $COD_{Cr}$) was very high at 91.6% or higher, and that of nitrogen was 80.5%. The phosphorous concentration (of the final) in the treated water was 0.43 mg/l (0.05-0.74 mg/l) on average, and the removal efficiency was high at 90.8%. The soluble T-P concentrations in (an) the anoxic reactor, oxic reactor (II) and final treated water were 1.99 mg/l, 0.79 mg/l and 0.43 mg/l, respectively, which indicated that the phosphorous concentration in the treated water was very low. Regardless of the changes in the concentrations of (organic matters) organic matter, nitrogen and phosphorous in the influent, the quality of the treated water was relatively stable and high. The removal rate of T-P somewhat increased with the increase in the F/M ratio in the influent, and it also linearly increased in proportion to the T-P loading rate in the influent. In the treatment process used in this study, phosphorous was removed (using) by the precipitated iron oxide. Therefore, the consumption of organic (matters) matter for biological phosphorus removal was minimized and (most of the organic matters were) was mostly used as the organic carbon source for the denitrification in the anoxic reactor. This (can be an economic) treatment process (without the need for the supply of additional organic matters) is economic and does not require the supply of additional organic matter.

추계 광양만의 유기물 기원과 분포 특성 (Origin and Spatial Distribution of Organic Matter at Gwangyang Bay in the Fall)

  • 유기물 증가에 미치는 환경인자를 중심으로 그 수평분포 특성, 원인, 주요오염원의 영향권에 대하여 검토하기 위해 표층 해수와 표층 퇴적물을 조사하였으며, 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 유기물변동에 영향을 미치는 환경인자에 대한 주요 오염원은 크게 섬진강과 동천 등의 담수, 광양시 생활하수, 여수산업단지로 크게 나누어볼 수 있었다. 해수와 퇴적물의 환경인자에 대한 수평분포 특성과 해수의 흐름 등을 고려하여 이들 주요 오염원의 영향권을 구분한 결과, (I) 섬진강 담수의 영향을 많이 받는 해역, (II) 광양시와 동천의 영향이 큰 해역, (III) 여수 산업단지의 영향을 많이 받는 해역으로 나누어졌다. 그리고, 오염원의 영향권 별 수질환경인자의 특성으로는 섬진강 담수의 영향을 많이 받는 해역은 낮은 염분, 높은 농도의 $NO_3-N$$SiO_2-Si$, 담수와 생환하수의 영향이 큰 해역은 낮은 염분, 높은 농도의 $NO_3-N,\;NH_4-N,\;SiO_2-Si$, 여수 산업단지의 영향을 많이 받는 해역은 표층해수의 경우 높은 수온, 높은 농도의 $NH_4-N$$PO_4-P$, 퇴적물의 경우 높은 농도의 $NH_4-N,\;PO_4-P,\;SiO_2-Si$로 특징 지울 수 있을 것으로 보인다.

EFFECT OF SUPPLEMENTARY UREA, GLUCOSE AND MINERALS ON THE IN VITRO DEGRADATION OF LOW QUALITY FEEDS

  • Increasing levels of ammonia-N in the rumen fluid used for in vitro incubation were achieved by supplementation of the ration of the donor cows with urea and by addition of urea either with or without glucose to the rumen fluid after collection. The ration of the donor animals consisted of wheat straw (80%) and maize silage (20%). During the second half of the experiment the basal ration was supplemented with a mineral mixture. Wheat straw, Guinea grass and two rice straw varieties were incubated with the various kinds of rumen fluid. Parameters studied were: solubility, apparent organic matter disappearance after 48 hours of incubation ($OMD_{48}$), rate of organic matter degradation from 0 to 24 hours of incubation ($k_1$) and from 24 to 95 hours ($k_2$). The concentration of ammonia-N in the rumen fluid at which 95% of the maximal $OMD_{48}$ and k1 were reached (88.2 and 100.0 mg/l) were independent of the feed. With regard to the $k_2$ the required ammonia-N concentration to reach 95% of the maximal $k_2$ differed per feed. Mineral supplementation increased the OMD48 and $k_1$, but not the solubility and $k_2$. Glucose addition in combination with urea had no beneficial effect compared to urea supplementation alone.

울릉도 성인봉 주변 너도밤나무 하위군락별 토양 특성 (Soil Characteristics in Fagus multinervis Subcommunities at Songinbong Area of Ullungdo)

  • 본 연구는 울릉도 성인봉 주변에 생육하고 있는 너도밤나무군락의 섬조릿대하위군락, 전형하위군락, 일색고사리하위군락에 대한 토양단면 및 토양의 이화학적 특성을 조사하여 울릉도 산림토양의 기초자료를 제공하고, 하위군락별 토양특성의 차이를 조사하기 위해 실시되었다. 하위군락별 토양단면의 형태는 하위군락간에 큰 차이를 보이지 않았다. 하위군락간 토양의 이화학적 요인분석에 있어서 0-10cm 토양 깊이에서 Ca함량에서만 유의적인 차이가 나타났을 뿐, 다른 요인들은 하위군락 간에 큰 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 울릉도 성인봉 주변의 토양특성 중 유기물함량은 0-10cm 토양 깊이에서 평균 21.6%로 매우 높게 나타났으며, 전질소함량도 0-10cm 토양 깊이에서 평균 0.74%로 높게 나타났다. 가비중은 0.43g/cm로 매우 낮게 나타났으며, pH는 평균 4.4로 강한 산성토양의 특성을 나타내어 우리나라의 일반 산림 토양과는 매우 다른 특성을 가지고 있는 것으로 나타났다.

응집-UF 전처리 공정이 압력지연삼투 공정에 미치는 영향 (Effects of coagulation-UF pretreatment on pressure retarded osmosis membrane process)

  • Osmotic power is to produce electric power by using the chemical potential of two flows with the difference of salinity. Water permeates through a semipermeable membrane from a low concentration feed solution to a high concentration draw solution due to osmotic pressure. In a pressure retarded osmosis (PRO) process, river water and wastewater are commonly used as low salinity feed solution, whereas seawater and brine from the SWRO plant are employed as draw solution. During the PRO process using wastewater effluent as feed solution, PRO membrane fouling is usually caused by the convective or diffusive transport of PRO which is the most critical step of PRO membrane in order to prevent membrane fouling. The main objective of this study is to assess the PRO membrane fouling reduction by pretreatment to remove organic matter using coagulation-UF membrane process. The experimental results obtained from the pretreatment test showed that the optimum ferric chloride and PAC dosage for removal of organic matter applied for the coagulation and adsorption process was 50 mg/L as FeCl3 (optimum pH 5.5). Coagulation-UF pretreatment process was higher removal efficiency of organic matter, as also resulting in the substantial improvement of water flux of PRO membrane.

UF를 이용한 용존성 유기물질 제거시 운전조건이 파울링에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Operating Conditions on the Fouling of UF Membrane in Treatment of Dissolved Organic Matter)

  • UF를 이용한 용존성 유기물질 제거시 파울링을 저감할 수 있는 운전인자를 알아보기 위하여 pilot plant 규모의 중공사형 UF막을 다양한 실험조건에서 운전하였다. 연구결과 유입압력이 높으면 막표면에 생성된 케익의 압밀화화 흡착이 증대되어 막간차압의 증가폭과 투과플럭스 감소폭이 커졌다. 역세효과는 역세압을 높여서 유효압을 증가시키거나 역세빈도를 짧게 할수록 좋았다. 유효압이 증가할수록 역세후 막표면의 오염물질이 감소하고 역세빈도가 짧을수록 재순환수의 오염물질농도가 감소하기 때문이다. 파울링과 상관성이 높은 운전인자는 역세압, 유입압력, 회수율, 누적투과플럭스, 투과플럭스였다. 이 중 역세압력이 파울링과 가장 밀접한 관계가 있었고 유입압력이 두 번째로 상관성이 높았다. 이것으로 보아 막표면의 케익층 압밀화와 흡착의 원인이 되는 압력이 파울링과 밀접한 관계가 있는 것으로 생각된다.

부영양화해역의 내부생산효율에 대한 계절변동예측 (Prediction of Seasonal Variations on Primary Production Efficiency in a Eutrophicated Bay)

  • The Primary Production of phytoplanktons produces organic matter in high concentration in eutrophicated Hakata Bay, Japan, even during the winter season in spite of low water temperature. Phytoplanktons are considered to have any biological capabilities to keep activities of photosynthesis under the unfavorable conditions, and this affects water quality of the bay. In this study, seasonal variations in primary production efficiency were predicted by using a simple box-type ecosystem model, which introduced the concept of efficiency for absorption of solar radiation energy in relation to growth of phytoplanktons under the low solar radiation intensity. According to the simulation result of primary production, it was organic pollution comes from dissolved organic carbon (DOC) throughout the year, DOC of which is originated from the primary production of phytoplanktons on biological response of the seasonal variation of ambient conditions.

저온 유전체장벽 플라즈마로 생성된 해수중의 오존농도 변동과 살균 특성 (Disinfection Properties and Variation in the Ozone Concentration in Seawater Generated Using a Low-Temperature Dielectric Barrier Discharge Plasma Reactor)

  • We studied the ozone concentrations generated by low-temperature dielectric barrier discharge plasma reactor after adding air and phytoplankton to control the ozone concentrations in seawater. We also examined the numbers of bacteria and Vibrio spp. after treatment using the plasma reactor. As the airflow rate was increased, more ozone was removed. Although marked variation in the ozone decrease was observed with and without airflow, the rate of ozone removal did not increase proportionately with the airflow rates. The ozone concentration decreased with increasing organic matter and time. The amount of organic matter seems to be an important factor decreasing the dissolved ozone concentration in liquid. The ozone concentration was 0.07, 0.32, 1.28, and 2.3 mg/L when operating the plasma reactor for 30, 60, 180, and 300 s, respectively; i.e., the ozone concentration increased with the reactor operating time. The initial numbers of bacteria and Vibrio spp. were 800 and 480 CFU/mL, respectively. After operating the plasma reactor at a flow rate of 6 L/min for 30 s, no bacteria or Vibrio spp. were detected. The disinfection effect of this plasma reactor seems to be superior to that of a conventional ozone generator.
