  • Although it is difficult to predict the future engineers, including optical engineers, must do it on a regular basis. After all, what is the generation of a new optical design, but an attempt to predict what will be needed next year\ulcorner But optical engineers do not consult oracles or look into crystal balls, instead they look at past history, new research, and the trends in technology. This talk will use this approach to look at where optics will take us in this new century. (omitted)

TRAFFIC FLOW MODELS WITH NONLOCAL LOOKING AHEAD-BEHIND DYNAMICS

  • Motivated by the traffic flow model with Arrhenius looka-head relaxation dynamics introduced in [25], this paper proposes a traffic flow model with look ahead relaxation-behind intensification by inserting look behind intensification dynamics to the flux. Finite time shock formation conditions in the proposed model with various types of interaction potentials are identified. Several numerical experiments are performed in order to demonstrate the performance of the modified model. It is observed that, comparing to other well-known macroscopic traffic flow models, the model equipped with look ahead relaxation-behind intensification has both enhanced dispersive and smoothing effects.

  • 본 논문은 3S Look-up table을 이용한 직류서보 전동기 시스템의 퍼지 PID제어의 한 기법을 제안한다. 이러한 제어기법은 재래식 조정기법인 ITAE table을 이용하여 제어기의 변수를 1차 조정한 다음 퍼지제어 행렬을 사용하여 작은 이득갑의 변화를 자동 결정함으로서 전동기 속도제어 시스템의 정상상태오차와 과도응답 특성을 향상 시킬 수 있었다. 또한 이러한 시스템은 마이크로프로세서를 이용함으로서 쉽게 실현할 수 있었다.

  • 본 논문에서는 신호 채널을 이용하여 실제적인 호 연결 처리 전에 착신 단말의 가용 전송률 및 서비스 호환성 여부를 조사하는 Look Ahead Enquiry/Response 기법에 의한 새로운 ABR 트래픽 파라메터 협상 베시지 흐름 메카니즘을 제안하였으며, 신호채널을 이용한 ABR 트래픽 전송률 제어가 가능하도록 Bandwidth Request 메시지와 Bandwidth Allocated 메시지를 고안하였다. 또한 성능 분석을 통하여 기존 방식과 비교하여 호 처리시간과 링크 이용 효율측면에서 본 논문에서 제안한 방안이 월등히 우수함을 알 수 있었다.

  • This paper analyzes the parallelism between the art trend and the fashion. As a representative case, we consider the Modernism and the Flapper look. The Modernism rejected the tradition of the past and pursued something new. This trend was in parallel with the fashion called flapper look which was against the tradition and made drastic change. The factors which represent the spirit of the age the Modernism are the simplicity, the rejection of the tradition, the individualism and the subjectivity, the functionalism, the fragmentation of the self, and the straight line. We discuss the fashion style of the flapper look in terms of these factors.

  • ONS나 E-mail 혹은 Instant Messaging등 메시지 애플리케이션에서 서버-클라이언트 모델은 scalability에 의한 한계가 있다. 이러한 문제를 해결할 수 있는 대안은 Peer-to-Peer 기반 정근방식이다. 하지만 이러한 환경에서는 기존의 P2P 시스템에 높은 데이터의 지속성과 Bounded Look-up Latency를 효과적으로 지원하는 방안이 필수적이다. 본 논문에서는 Replication을 통하여 Look-up Latency를 줄이기 위한 하나의 방법으로 Distributed k-ary Replication(DkR)을 제안한다. DkR은 source node와 root node 사이에 multi-path를 유지하고 Look-up Locality 특성을 이용하여 Replica를 배치함으로써 효율적으로 Look-up latency를 줄이게 된다. 마지막으로 DkR의 Replication 효과를 시뮬레이션을 통해서 확인을 해 보았다.

  • In this paper, we consider a multi-objective machine cell formation problem. This problem Is characterized as determining part route families and machine cells such that total sum of inter-ceil part movements and maximum machine workload imbalance are simultaneously minimized. Together with the objective function, alternative part routes and the machine sequences of part routes are considered In grouping Part route families. Due to the complexity of the problem, a two-phase heuristic algorithm is proposed. And we developed an n-stage look-ahead heuristic algorithm that generalizes the roll-out algorithm. Computational experiments were conducted to verify the performance of the algorithm.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of fashion magazine on the street fashion, focused on Japan. The data were collected from the magazines and newspapers published in Japan from 1960's to 1990's. Fashion magazine has three functions : transmit information function, education and criticism function, advertisement and entertainment function. And, it has influenced on the street fashion by grasping the fashion trend and consumer needs, and communicating the vision to reader in Japan. The results were as follows : 1. the ivy look of 'Heibon Punch' in the 1960's, 2. the coordinate look of 'Anan' and 'Nanno', 3. the outdoor look of 'Popeye' in the 1970's, 4. the new traditional style of 'JJ' in the 1970's - 1980's, 5. lyceenne look of 'Olive' in the 1980's, 6. Shibu-Kaji style of 'McSister', 7. the supermarket style of 'Cutie' in the 1990's.

A Study on the Aesthetic Characteristics of Recycle Fashion (재활용 패션의 미적 특성 연구)

  • Recycle fashion is suggested to the suitable alternative of the environmental problem and the exhaustion of natural resources. The purpose of this study is focused on trying to comprehend between design characteristics and aesthetic values of recycle fashion design and those from fashion brands, fashion designers, and the public. For such purpose, 1553 photos of recycle fashion design which appeared in web-site, newspaper, fashion magazines between 2002 and 2007 were analyzed. Method of analysis did content analysis. The results of the research can be summarized as follows. First, design characteristics of recycle fashion were expressed by Junk Recycle Look, Vintage Recycle Look, Contemporary Recycle Look, Artisanal Recycle Look. Second, the expression methods of recycle fashion were presented reuse, reform, and regeneration. Third, aesthetic values of recycle fashion can be explained by the promotion of environment, the variableness, and the deconstruction.

유니사이클 로봇의 주행경로를 변경하기 위한 퍼지룰의 구성

  • Our study of rider's postulator stability and tracking control on a unicycle began form the observation of a human riding. The system including unicycle and human operationg his unicycle is a fuzzy intelligent biomechanical model on basis of instinct and intuition search mechanisms. We proposed a robotic unicycle with one wheel and one body as a basic mode and derived equation of motion to this model. Our works is in making out fuzzy look-up table to control robotic unicycle. Fuzzy look-up table were determined for staight line and curve under reasonable inference emulating human's instinct and intuition riding a unicyale. Simulation results show that postulator stability and tracking control on both straight line and curve were successful by using proposed each fuzzy look-up table.
