수평보강재가 있는 판형복부판의 극한전단거동에 관한 실험연구 (Experimental Study on Ultimate Shear Behaviour of Longitudinally Stiffened Plate Girder Web Panels)

  • 판형복부판의 좌굴강도를 높이기 위하여 수평보강재나 수직보강재를 대는 방법이 많이 적용되고 있다. 경제적인 판형의 설계를 위하여 복부판의 두께를 얇게 하는 대신, 복부판의 전단강도를 높이기 위하여 수직보강재를 사용하게된다. 수직보강재가 있는 복부판의 극한전단강도의 산정에 관한 연구는 1960년 초반부터 활발하게 진행되어 왔고, 이 결과가 미국의 AASHTO 시방서(1973)와 영국의 British Standard(1983)에 처음 반영되어 현재에 이르고 있다. 수평보강재의 주 역할은 휨응력에 의한 복부판의 좌굴강도를 높이고 횡변위를 억제하는 것이지만, 부수적으로 전단강도를 증가시키는 효과가 있는 것으로 알려지고 있다. 하지만, 이에 대한 연구의 부족으로 인하여 수평보강재가 복부판의 극한전단강도에 미치는 영향이 실제 설계시 반영되지 않고 있다. 본 연구에서는 실험을 통하여 수평보강재가 판형의 극한전단거동에 미치는 영향을 조사하고 이를 기존의 이론들과 비교 검토하였다.

장대터널의 사례에 기반한 대심도 지하도로 교통시설 및 운영 개선방안 (Study on the Ways to Improve Deep Underground Road Facilities and Operation Based on the Cases of Longitudinal Tunnel)

  • Recently, starting with the deep underground road construction plan in Seobu Expressway, Korea, there area many studies on deep underground roads to be newly built. However, there is an extreme lack of safety standards, which does not consider traffic conditions and road driving characteristics. Therefore, this study reviewed safety elements to reflect in the deep underground road planning by analyzing driving stability of longitudinal tunnels with road environments, which resemble deep underground roads. For comprehensive analysis, the characteristics and causes of the accidents that have occurred in seven longitudinal tunnels with a length of 2km or over in Gangwon area, were collected. Specifically, geometric structures and facilities of each tunnel were investigated. Also, the present state of facility installation and the changes in driving speed of vehicles passing through each tunnel were observed to analyze the causes for the traffic accidents in each tunnel and accident reduction alternatives. It was revealed that the most frequent accidents in the tunnels resulted from the changes of traffic flow due to the abrupt speed reduction of forward vehicles, or the failure in speed control of following vehicles during the traffic congestion situation. Moreover, installing facilities such as plane and longitudinal curves, median strips and marginal strips seem to induce consistent driving speed. These results mean that for accident prevention, speed management must be preceded and there is a need to develop and introduce safety facilities actively to control the driving flow of forward and following vehicles.

강바닥판 교량의 보강상세에 관한 해석적 연구 (Analytical Study on the Reinforced Details of Orthotropic Steel Deck Bridge)

  • 강바닥판 피로손상을 억제할 수 있는 유효한 방법의 하나로 데크 플레이트의 판 두께를 증가시키거나 세로리브의 보강 등에 의한 강성 증가를 고려할 수 있는데, 이 강성증가는 일반적으로 윤하중에 의한 강바닥판의 국부변형 억제 등에 효과가 있을 것으로 판단된다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 강바닥판교의 피로균열이 빈번히 발생해 가장 문제가 되는 U-rib와 가로리브 연결 상세부의 발생응력을 최소화할 수 있도록 벌크헤드플레이트나 수직리브와 같은 보강상세의 부착에 따른 변수로 정밀 구조해석을 수행하였다. 그 결과, 벌크헤드플레이트는 전체적으로 연결 상세부의 주응력을 경감시키나, 피로균열이 발생되는 용접 지단부에서는 오히려 응력집중이 커지는 경향을 나타내는 것을 알 수 있었다. 그러나 수직리브는 용접 지단부에서 응력집중을 경감시키는 효과를 나타내어 벌크헤드플레이트의 보강보다는 수직리브의 보강이 더 효율적일 것으로 판단된다.

후종인대 골화증으로 유발된 경추 척수병증 1례에 대한 증례보고: 온침요법을 중심으로 (A Case Report of Cervical Myelopathy Caused by Ossification of Posterior Longitudinal Ligament: Focusing on Warm Needling Therapy)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of warm needling therapy in a patient with cervical myelopathy caused by ossification of posterior longitudinal ligament. Methods : A 53-year-old Korean male patient diagnosed with cervical myelopathy due to ossification of posterior longitudinal ligament was treated with warm needling therapy on posterior neck aside from the routine inpatient treatment from June 26th to July 16th. Clinical improvement was evaluated with visual analogue scale(VAS), Japanese orthopedic score(JOA), grip and release test, finger escape sign and patient satisfaction was measured using a five-point Likert scale. Results : After 21 days of treatment, the patient showed improvement in VAS, JOA, grip and release test and finger escape sign. The patient also expressed satisfaction with the treatment. Conclusions : The results suggest that warm needling therapy may be an effective additional treatment for cervical myelopathy and other symptoms related to ossification of posterior longitudinal ligament(OPLL). Further studies should be carried out regarding possible long-lasting effects.

유아-교사 관계의 잠재프로파일 집단이 유아의 또래 상호작용에 미치는 영향에 관한 종단 연구 (Longitudinal Study of Child-Teacher Relationship and Peer Interactions Based on Latent Profile Analysis)

  • This study clarified the maintenance of relationship between children and teachers based on longitudinal data and explored the latent classes. It clarified the latent classes connection with the children's peer play interaction. The subjects of this study were 194 children (aged 3) who attended 11 different kindergartens and daycare centers. We collected data three times (once every 6 months) until they reached age 4. The results of this study were: first, closeness, conflict, and dependence of child-teacher relationship that showed a continuous short-term connection. Second, we classified the child-teacher relationship into three groups according to longitudinal data. Those groups were, 'low level maintenance group' which had the lowest conflict and dependence compared to the highest closeness with teacher, 'middle level maintenance group' which had the teacher relationship in the middle level of the sub element area, and 'high level maintenance group' which showed high conflict and dependence compared to low closeness with the teacher. Third, the group which maintains a longitudinal high conflict.dependence showed more interruption and disruption behavior than the group which maintained a low conflict and dependence. In conclusion, the child-teacher relationship seemed to be the steady characteristic because it showed the early formation of a stable relationship. It was possible to predict the child's peer interaction through an early child-teacher relationship. Teachers need to be educated by the kindergarten and daily care center because the early formation of a child-teacher relationship can be the foundation of child's later peer and teacher relationships.

Strengthening of steel-concrete composite beams with composite slab

  • Steel-concrete composite beam with profiled steel sheet has gained its popularity in the last two decades. Due to the ageing of these structures, retrofitting in terms of flexural strength is necessary to ensure that the aged structures can carry the increased traffic load throughout their design life. The steel ribs, which presented in the profiled steel deck, limit the use of shear connectors. This leads to a poor degree of composite action between the concrete slab and steel beam compared to the solid slab situation. As a result, the shear connectors that connects the slab and beam will be subjected to higher shear stress which may also require strengthening to increase the load carrying capacity of an existing composite structure. While most of the available studies focus on the strengthening of longitudinal shear and flexural strength separately, the present work investigates the effect of both flexural and longitudinal shear strengthening of steel-concrete composite beam with composite slab in terms of failure modes, ultimate load carrying capacity, ductility, end-slip, strain profile and interface differential strain. The flexural strengthening was conducted using carbon fibre reinforced polymer (CFRP) or steel plate on the soffit of the steel I-beam, while longitudinal shear capacity was enhanced using post-installed high strength bolts. Moreover, a combination of both the longitudinal shear and flexural strengthening techniques was also implemented (hybrid strengthening). It is concluded that hybrid strengthening improved the ultimate load carrying capacity and reduce slip and interface differential strain that lead to improved composite action. However, hybrid strengthening resulted in brittle failure mode that decreased ductility of the beam.

횡단조사자료 종단화의 가치와 한계: 경제활동인구조사와 도시가계조사 (A Longitudinal Look at Economically Active Population Survey and Household Income and Expenditure Survey: Potential and Limitation)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 통계청에서 생산하고 있는 가구단위 조사 중 반복횡단조사로 설계된 경제 활동인구조사와 도시가계조사의 표본가구관리명부 자료를 이용하여 1998년에서 2002년까지 패널자료를 구축하고, 패널의 생존기간과 패널무응답 집단의 사회인구학적인 특성을 분석하는 것이다. 경활의 표본가구관리명부 자료를 월별 패널로 구축한 결과, 모두 응답한 가구는 46%였다. 반면에 분기별 패널로 구축된 도시가계에서 모두 응답한 가구는 34.%로 경활보다는 낮았다. 콕스비례위험모형을 통해 가구와 가구원의 사회경제적 특성이 패널의 생존기간에 미친 영향을 분석한 결과 개인차원에서는 연령, 가구차원에서는 주택소유형태에 따라 체계적인 표본소실이 발생하고 있었다. 개인의 특성별로는 여자보다는 남자가, 장년층보다는 젊은층의 패널소실 위험율이 높았다. 학력이 높을수록 패널소실확률도 함께 증가했으며, 취업자보다는 실업자의 패널소실 확률이 높았다.

Nonlocal elasticity approach for free longitudinal vibration of circular truncated nanocones and method of determining the range of nonlocal small scale

  • The free longitudinal vibration of a circular truncated nanocone is investigated based on the nonlocal elasticity theory. Exact analytical formulations for tapered nanostructures are derived and the nonlinear differential governing equation of motion is developed. The nonlocal small scale effect unavailable in classical continuum theory is addressed to reveal the long-range interaction of atoms implicated in nonlocal constitutive relation. Unlike most previous studies applying the truncation method to the infinite higher-order differential equation, this paper aims to consider all higher-order terms to show the overall nonlocality. The explicit solution of nonlocal stress for longitudinal deformation is determined and it is an infinite series incorporating the classical stress derived in classical mechanics of materials and the infinite higher-order derivative of longitudinal displacement. Subsequently, the first three modes natural frequencies are calculated numerically and the significant effects of nonlocal small scale and vertex angle on natural frequencies are examined. The coupling phenomenon of natural frequency is observed and it is induced by the combined effects of nonlocal small scale and vertex angle. The critical value of nonlocal small scale is defined, and after that a new proposal for determining the range of nonlocal small scale is put forward since the principle of choosing the nonlocal small scale is still unclear at present. Additionally, two different types of nonlocal effects, namely the nonlocal stiffness weakening and strengthening, reversed phenomena existing in nanostructures are observed and verified. Hence the opposite nonlocal effects are resolved again clearly. The nano-engineers dealing with a circular truncated nanocone-based sensors and oscillators may benefit from the present work.

Characteristics of 5-Hydroxytryptamine Receptors Involved in Contraction of Feline Ileal Longitudinal Smooth Muscle

  • A number of studies have demonstrated that 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT) can induce muscle contraction or relaxation response and enhance secretion in the gastrointestinal tract via a multiplicity of 5-HT receptor subtypes. In the present study, we investigated the pharmacological characterization of the 5-HT-induced contractile response in longitudinal smooth muscle isolated from the feline ileum. Addition of 5-HT into muscle chambers enhanced the basal tone and spontaneous activity in a concentration-dependent manner. The neurotoxin tetrodotoxin did not alter the 5-HT-induced contraction of the longitudinal muscles. Neither atropine nor guanethidine affected the contraction. The 5-HT agonists, 5-methylserotonin hydrochloride and mosapride, also evoked concentration-dependent contractions. The 5-HT-induced contraction was enhanced by the $5HT_2$ receptor antagonist ketanserin and the $5-HT_3$ receptor antagonist ondansetron but was inhibited by the 5-$HT_1$ receptor antagonist methysergide and 5-$HT_4$ receptor antagonist GR113808. These results indicate that 5-$HT_1$ and 5-$HT_4$ receptors may mediate the contraction of the 5-HT-induced response and 5-$HT_2$ and 5-$HT_3$ receptors may mediate 5-HT-induced relaxation in feline ileal longitudinal smooth muscles.

베이지안 다변량 선형 모형을 이용한 청소년 패널 데이터 분석 (KCYP data analysis using Bayesian multivariate linear model)

  • 다변량 경시적 자료 분석은 반복 측정된 자료에 존재하는 상관관계를 올바르게 추정하면서 자료를 분석해야 한다. 경시적 연구에서는 다변량 경시적 자료가 주로 생성되지만, 기존 통계적 모형은 대부분 단변량으로 분석되어 다변량 경시적 자료에 존재하는 복잡한 상관관계를 제대로 설명하지 못하게 된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 복잡한 상관관계를 설명하기 위해 공분산 행렬을 모형화하는 다양한 방법에 대해 고찰한다. 그 중 수정된 콜레스키 분해, 수정된 콜레스키 블록분해와 초구분해를 살펴본다. 그리고 일반화 자기회귀모수 행렬이 가지는 희박성 문제를 해결하기 위해 베이지안 방법을 이용하여 청소년 패널 데이터를 분석한다. 청소년 패널 데이터는 다변량 경시적 자료이며, 반응 변수로는 학교 적응도, 학업 성취도, 휴대전화 의존도를 고려한다. 자기 상관 구조와 혁신 표준 편차 구조를 달리 가정하여 여러 모형을 비교한다. 가장 적합한 모형에 대해 학교 적응도와 학업 성취도에 대해 모든 설명 변수가 유의미하며, 휴대전화 의존도가 반응 변수일 때 사교육 시간을 제외한 모든 설명 변수가 유의미한 것으로 나타난다.
