This paper describes a method of road tracking by using a vision and laser with extracting road boundary (road lane and curb) for navigation of intelligent transport robot in structured road environments. Road boundary information plays a major role in developing such intelligent robot. For global navigation, we use a global positioning system achieved by means of a global planner and local navigation accomplished with recognizing road lane and curb which is road boundary on the road and estimating the location of lane and curb from the current robot with EKF(Extended Kalman Filter) algorithm in the road assumed that it has prior information. The complete system has been tested on the electronic vehicles which is equipped with cameras, lasers, GPS. Experimental results are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the combined laser and vision system by our approach for detecting the curb of road and lane boundary detection.

Nowdays ITS is being installed in each local autonomous entity, and BIS installation and operation is prior to other ITS sub systems for the public service. The methods of positioning md wireless communication in BIS are DSRC+DSRC, GPS+wireless communication, Beacon+Beacon, which are chosen and operated as the local features. Before this study, the before and after survey of BIS' quality have only been done without performance evaluation of BIS. So the method of BIS' evaluation have been established including performance test in this paper. And the evaluation of some BIS' reliability and efficiency have been done using the reliability of arriving data and the wireless communication response rates after choosing typical BIS' sub system.
The paper proposes the improved error diffusion halftoning system to enhance the edges using the spatial perceptual characteristics of the human visual system. The proposed method computes a spatial variation(SV), which is the difference between a pixel luminance and the average of its $3{\times}3$ neighborhood pixels' luminances weighted according to the spatial positioning. Information of edge enhancement(IEE) Is computed using the SV and the local average luminance. The IEE is added to the quantizer's input pixel and feeds into the halftoning quantizer. The quantizer produces the halftone image having the enhanced edge. The performance of the proposed method is compared with conventional methods by measuring the edge correlation. The halftone images by using the proposed method show better quality due to the enhanced edge. And the detailed edge is preserved in the halftone images by using the proposed method.

In this paper, as a positioning technology for predicting the movement path of a moving object using a recurrent neural network (RNN) model, which is a deep learning network, in an indoor environment, continuous location information is used to predict the path of a moving vehicle within a local path. We propose a movement path generation technique that can reduce decision errors. In the case of an indoor environment where GPS information is not available, the data set must be continuous and sequential in order to apply the RNN model. However, Wi-Fi radio fingerprint data cannot be used as RNN data because continuity is not guaranteed as characteristic information about a specific location at the time of collection. Therefore, we propose a movement path generation technique for a vehicle moving a local path in an indoor environment by giving the necessary sequential location continuity to the RNN model.

Precise time synchronization is a main technology in high-speed communications, parallel and distributed processing systems, Internet information industry and electronic commerce. Synchronized clocks are useful for many leasers. Often a distributed system is designed to realize some synchronized behavior, especially in real-time processing in factories, aircraft, space vehicles, and military applications. Nowadays, time synchronization has been compulsory thing as distributed processing and network operations are generalized. A network time server obtains, keeps accurate and precise time by synchronizing its local clock to standard reference time source and distributes time information through standard time synchronization protocol. This paper describes design issues and implementation of a network time server for time synchronization especially based on a clock model. The system uses GPS (Global Positioning System) as a standard reference time source and offers UTC (universal Time coordinated) through NTP (Network Time protocol). Implementation result and performance analysis are also presented.

As Global Positioning System is able to provide 24-hour all weather surveying capability and high precision survey in three dimension, expected that the extensive use of GPS to support geophysics, geophysics, millitary and time correction etc. But in order to use the GPS results effectively, we have to solve problems about coordinates transformation relating the WGS84 to Bessel Datums and development of the accurate geoid undulation model. In this paper, we derive polynomial model equations about geoid undulation around local area(longitude $126^{\circ}{\sim}129^{\circ}$, latitude $36^{\circ}{\sim}37^{\circ}$) in Korea by GPS/Leveling method, also study the geoidal height calcaulation methods supplemented by Earth Gravitational Models (OSU981A, OSU86F).

A solar flares have the 11-year cycle and release a large energy which may produce coronal mass ejections (CME). The NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) predicted that the sun spot activity will be maximized in 2013-2014. A strong solar flare can cause the disturbance of global positioning system including various communication of TV, radio broadcasting. The actual solar storm in 1989 caused power outages in Canada during 9 hours and about 600 million people had experienced a blackout. Such a solar storm can shorten the GPS satellite's life span about 5 to 10 years which can be resulted in economic loss considering the amount of multi-billion won. This paper analyzed the recent solar storm of X-class occurred on 15th of February about 10:45 this year that was reached Korea (Bohyun observatory) on 18th of February about 10:30 (local time), and compared with the data of before and after a week. The proton data of 18th of February considered that the solar strom reached on earth showed a fluctuation compared to the data of before and after a week. The positioning results at Daejeon also showed higher positioning error compared to the data of before and after a week results.

Recently, various industries have appeared which are applied ubiquitous technology. Particularly, health and medical fields, have been focused as future's industry, have been combined with ubiquitous system. This is what we called' u-Health industry. Korean government has encouraged local governments to develop specialized high value-added industries along each local's circumstance. According to the policy, I had an assumption that u-Health industry is Chungbuk province's specialized high value-added industry and studied marketing strategy for the point of penetration into markets. I presented STP strategy for international markets. This strategy referred to developed countries' aging index and based on Modigliani's life cycle hypothesis. Finally, considering none of u-Health has been released, I presented strategies of marketing mix to be utilized when u-Health items march into the markets.
Voices demanding a revision of the aviation law on the operating drones are continuously rising high with the increase of their applicability in various industry fields. According to the current regulations, drones are permitted to fly under very strict conditions, which include limited places and the line-of-sight visibility from pilots. Because of the strict regulations, it is almost impossible for drones to be used in many industries such as parcel delivery services. To improve the business value of drones, we have to improve the accuracy of drones' positions and provide the proper protection levels in order to detect and avoid any risks including the collisions with the other drones. SBAS(Satellite Based Augmentation System) can support the aviation requirements with the accuracy and integrity so as to reduce the position errors and to calculate the protection levels of drones. In this paper, we assign the flight heights of drones according to the decision heights as per LAAS(Local Area Augmentation System) landing categories and conduct a simulation to predict the SBAS available time of the day.

This paper analyzes the accuracy on the approach and landing of aircraft to an airport through comparison with airbase Precision Approach Radar and aircraft track data of DGPS equipped in aircraft. The proposed analysis result could be a basis for verifying the possibility that DGPS can be utilized in Airbase precision approach and landing. Position identification capability of widely used commercial DGPS is fairly accurate on latitude and longitude, while there is a slight error for being used in an airbase accurate approach and landing of Category I precision when it comes to altitude. Thus, we tested accuracy by analyzing actual flight track data of high performance aircraft to verify the accuracy of the airbase approach and landing using DGPS. Through the research, we developed instrumentation to compare PAR track data with DGPS track data, which can be used in reducing the number of PAR verification Flight utilizing it as a system measuring PAR accuracy at PAR installation phase.
