The extraction of 3D road network from high-resolution aerial images is still one of the current challenges in digital photogrammetry and computer vision. For many years, there are many researcher groups working for this task, but unt il now, there are no papers for doing this with TLS (Three linear scanner), which has been developed for the past several years, and has very high-resolution (about 3 cm in ground resolution). In this paper, we present a methodology of road extraction from high-resolution digital imagery taken over urban areas using this modern photogrammetry’s scanner (TLS). The key features of the approach are: (1) Because of high resolution of TLS image, our extraction method is especially designed for constructing 3D road map for next -generation digital navigation map; (2) for extracting road, we use the global context of the intensity variations associated with different features of road (i.e. zebra line and center line), prior to any local edge. So extraction can become comparatively easy, because we can use different special edge detector according different features. The results achieved with our approach show that it is possible and economic to extract 3D road data from Three Linear Scanner to construct next -generation digital navigation road map.

In this paper, a computational algorithm of an improved and versatile structural analysis applicable for large-size flexible nonlinear structures is developed. In more detail, nonlinear finite element based on the co-rotational (CR) framework is developed. Then, a finite element tearing and interconnecting method using local Lagrange multipliers (FETI-local) is combined with the nonlinear CR finite element. The resulting computational algorithm is presented and applied for nonlinear static analyses, i.e., cantilevered beam and multibody structure. Finally, the proposed analysis is evaluated with regard to its parallel computation performance, and it is compared with those obtained by serial computation using the sparse matrix linear solver, PARDISO.
This paper presents a novel camera tracking method based on model with multiple planes. The proposed algorithm detects QR code that is one of the most popular types of two-dimensional barcodes. A 3D model is imported from the detected QR code for augmented reality application. Based on the geometric property of the model, the vertices are detected and tracked using optical flow. A clipping algorithm is applied to identify each plane from model surfaces. The proposed method estimates the homography from coplanar feature correspondences, which is used to obtain the initial camera motion parameters. After deriving a linear equation from many feature points on the model and their 3D information, we employ DLT(Direct Linear Transform) to compute camera information. In the final step, the error of camera poses in every frame are minimized with local Bundle Adjustment algorithm in real-time.
This paper is concerned with the development of a nonparametric procedure for the statistical inference about the nonlinear regression parameters. A confidence region and a hypothesis testing procedure based on a class of signed linear rank statistics are proposed and the asymptotic distributions of the test statistic both under the null hypothesis and under a sequence of local alternatives are investigated. Some desirable asymptotic properties including the asymptotic relative efficiency are discussed for various score functions.

We propose nonlinear GMM-based transformation functions in an attempt to deal with the over-smoothing effects of linear transformation for voice processing. The proposed methods adopt RBF networks as a local transformation function to overcome the drawbacks of global nonlinear transformation functions. In order to obtain high-quality modifications of speech signals, our voice conversion is implemented using the Harmonic plus Noise Model analysis/synthesis framework. Experimental results are reported on the English corpus, MOCHA-TIMIT.
A new algorithm, CBIR (Correlation Based Image Registration) was proposed to improve the resolution of image registration for PSP (Pressure Sensitive Paint). The local displacement vectors were obtained by finding the displacement which maximizes the cross-correlation between two interrogation windows of 'wind-off' and 'wind-on' images. A recursive multigrid processing was employed to increase the non-linear spatial resolutions. The variations of image were precisely measured without identifying the control points.
This paper considers the problem of stabilizing a composite system formed by interconnecting a number of single-input single-output linear continuous systems. The problem is general in the sense that in addition to the standard assumption about the uncertainty of the subsystems, the strength of interconnections is assumed unknown. A method to design a local adaptive feedback control is first presented, and then the resultant closed-loop system is assured to be globally stable. Also, a numerical example is illustrated via computer simulation.

As a method of separating the signal arriving from a desired direction in the presence of noise and interfering signals, a linearly constrained adaptive beamformer based on the escalator (Gram-Schmidt) structure is presented. The weights are chosen to minimize local output power subject to the response constraint. The performances of the proposed escalator adaptive beamformer are compared with those of cascade adaptive beamformer via computer simulations.

A convolution alogorithm combined with Fourier transformation is applied to the tomographic reconstruction of the asymmetric spray structure to identify the local drop size and volume concentration. The line of sight intergrated data from Malvern particle analyzer with multiangular scanning form a basic information for the deconvolution. Linear interpolation is tested to obtain the effect of increasing number of scanning angles. This transformation method predicts well the structure of asymmetric spray. The tehnique can be extended to other line of sight combustion diagnostics.
