디지털시대 춘천지역 지식기반산업의 발전방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Developing Strategies of Knowledge based Industry in ChunChon Area for the Digital Age.)

  • This study aims to explore the developing strategies of knowledge based industry in ChunChon Area. This study suggests several strategies for promoting local development in Chunchon Area as follows ; first, building of local innovation system in chunchon area and convergence and diffusion of knowledge based industries. second, making of industrial environment suitable to developing knowledge based industries. third, the establishment of overall industrial supporting systems. fourth, expansion of industrial infra and prevention of the brain drain. fifth, transformation of industrial complex into innovation clusters. The result of this study will be useful for the chief executives officers to make more rational decision making for industrial developing strategies is related to the Knowledge based Industries. The paper also strives to provoke debate in this area with to encouraging further research on the topic.

공무원들의 지식콘텐츠 획득 현황과 방안 (Knowledge Contents Acquisition in Public Organizations)

  • 유형 또는 무형의 지식콘텐츠는 공사부문을 막론하고 모든 조직에서 중요한 전략적 자원으로서 인식되고 있다. 따라서 지식콘텐츠의 획득활동은 조직성과제고에 기여할 수 있는 자원의 유입을 의미하며, 또한 획득 활동을 기반으로 공유나 활용 등의 기타 지식활동이 이루어진다는 점에서 매우 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 지방정부 공무원들을 대상으로 하여 정부조직의 지식콘텐츠 획득활동의 정도를 분석하였다. 설문조사를 통한 실증분석을 통해 공무원들의 개별적 특성과 지식콘텐츠 획득활동간의 관계를 분석하였다. 연구 결과 지방정부 공무원들의 지식콘텐츠 획득활동정도는 보통수준이며, 형식적이며 소극적인 지식활동을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 정부조직 지식콘텐츠 획득활동에 있어서의 정책적 시사점을 논의하였다.

한국 속리산 국립공원 지역집단에서 이용되는 약용동물의 구전 전통지식에 대한 민족동물학적 연구 (Ethnozoological Study of Medicinal Animals for Orally Transmitted Knowledge Utilized in the Local Communities of Songnisan National Park, Korea)

  • Objectives : This study aims to record and conserve oral traditional knowledge of medicinal animals from the indigenous people living in the local communities of Songnisan National Park, Korea. Methods : Data was collected by participatory observations and in-depth interviews with semi-structured questionnaires. Quantitative comparative analyses were accomplished through data received from the following three methods: informant consensus factor (ICF), fidelity level (FL), and network analysis. Results : The investigation reveals that the indigenous people have used 49 species of medicinal animals distributed within 45 genera, belonging to 39 families with 336 different usages. According to the distribution of recorded families, the most representative families were Scolpendridae and Phasianidae, which were utilized 36 times each (10.71 % each). The category with the highest degree of consensus from informants was disorders related to the nervous system (0.97). 16 species were classified with a fidelity level of 100 %. The network analysis revealed that a lack of vigor was related to 23 species, including Agkistrodon blomhoffii, Gallus domesticus, and Canis familiaris, among the total 49 species investigated. Conclusions : This documentation can help preserve the traditional knowledge and local health traditions of Korea that are disappearing due to rapid industrialization, urbanization, and death of the elderly with traditional knowledge. Additionally, the animals investigated in this study can be developed into medicinal food and drug for treating specific health conditions through further research.

  • 많은 연구자들이 리더십이 지식관리에 매우 큰 영향을 미친다고 이야기 하고 있으나, 리더십에 초점을 두어 지식관리와의 관계를 논의한 연구는 매우 드물었다. 본 연구에서는 지식관리를 성공적으로 해내고 있다고 평가받는 2개의 지방자치 직원들을 대상으로 면담을 통해, 기관장의 리더십이 지식관리에 어떻게 영향을 주었는지를 밝혀내고자 하는 목적으로 시작되었다. 특히 본 연구에서는 리더십 유형 중 지식관리와 상관관계가 높은 참여적 리더십사례를 통해 리더십이 성공적 지식관리에 어떻게 영향을 주는지를 밝히고자 하였다. 연구결과 참여적 리더십은 조직구성원들의 조직 내의 의사결정에의 참여기회를 확대하고, 자유로운 의사소통을 활성화하여 조직 내 성공적인 지식관리를 담보한다는 점을 확인하였다. 본 연구를 통해 리더십이 지식관리와 매우 높은 상관관계임을 밝혀냈으며, 향후에는 양적접근방법을 병행하여 리더십 변수와 지식관리와의 상관관계를 경험적으로 검증하는 것 역시 의미 있으리라 본다.

Ethnobotany of Wild Baobab (Adansonia digitata L.): A Way Forward for Species Domestication and Conservation in Sudan

  • Selection of superior phenotypes of fruit trees and products based on established criteria by local people is a prerequisite for future species domestication and conservation. Thus the study objective was to identify the local people's perceptions and preferences on baobab trees and products. A sample of 142 respondents was randomly selected using structured interviews in Blue Nile and North Kordofan, Sudan in 2013. Descriptive analysis was employed using SPSS and Excel programs. The study results indicated that local people use the morphological characteristics of the tree (leaves, fruits, seeds, kernels and bark) to differentiate individual trees. Based on the perceptions, local people recorded trees with delicious leaves, white pulp color, big fruit size and mature capsule size, and high pulp yield as criteria for differentiating between baobab trees in the study areas. In contrast, the undesirable traits were connected to trees with acidic pulp, slimy pulp, bitter leaves, and low pulp yield. The study concluded that the ethnobotanical knowledge of the baobab tree and its products may play an important role in tree domestication and improvement in Sudan. However, further research on tree genetics is needed to complement the ethnobotanical knowledge for baobab resources domestication and conservation.

해외자회사 환경요인이 국제기술이전 및 혁신성과에 미치는 영향 : S-C-P 패러다임 관점에서 (The Influence of External Environmental Factors on Technology Transfer between Foreign MNCs and Local Subsidiaries: Based on SCP Paradigm)

  • Technology transfer from a multinational company to a local subsidiary is essential for successful local market operations. This study aims to analyze the impact of market, cultural and institutional environmental factors on international technology transfer and innovation performance based on the S-C-P paradigm. We collected data from one hundred ninety-five subsidiaries of Korean parent firms located in seventeen countries and used structural equation modeling to test hypotheses. The analysis findings are as follow; First, both market and cultural environment directly affect international technology transfer. However, institutional environment such as protection of intellectual property does not affect international technology transfer. Due to the less risk of technology disclosure involved in technology transfer within the MNE organization can be not relationship between protection of intellectual property in the host country and the foreign subsidiary's transfer of technology. The risk of infringement of intellectual property is relatively low in intra-firm transfer of technology. Second, the technology introduced from the parent company has a positive effect on the innovation performance of local subsidiaries. This implies that multinational companies that have entered unfamiliar overseas markets should be able to effectively transfer the inherent advantages of the parent company to their overseas subsidiaries, and that their ability to adapt to the local environment is important.

클러스터링 기법을 이용한 개별문서의 지식구조 자동 생성에 관한 연구 (Automatic Generation of the Local Level Knowledge Structure of a Single Document Using Clustering Methods)

  • 이 연구에서는 전통적인 인쇄매체 환경에서 지식에 대해 지역적인 접근법을 제공하는 권말색인과 목차의 기능에 착안하여 용어 클러스터링 실험과 클러스터 대표어 선정 실험을 통해 개별문서의 지식구조 자동 생성 기법을 제안하였다. 자동 생성된 지식구조가 갖는 기능성을 평가하여 정보 검색 환경에서의 적용 가능성을 확인하였다. 용어 클러스터링 실험에서는 워드 기법의 성능이 중복 분류를 허용하는 퍼지 K-means 클러스터링 기법에 비해 높았으며, 클러스터 대표어 선정 기법으로는 단락빈도를 이용한 경우가 가장 좋은 성능을 나타냈다. 또한, 이용자 태스크를 기반으로 하여 최종적으로 생성된 지식구조의 기능성을 평가한 결과, 이 연구에서 자동 생성된 지식구조가 인쇄매체 환경에서의 권말색인과 목차가 갖는 기능을 어느 정도 수행한다는 것을 입증하였다.

The Effects of Headquarters' Levels of Control and Subsidiaries' Local Experiences on Competency in Foreign Subsidiaries: A Quadratic Model Investigation of Korean Multinational Corporations

  • Purpose - This study aims to overcome the limitations of existing studies, which linearly determine the precedence factors of competency in overseas subsidiaries. The research objectives are as follows. First, what kind of nonlinear effects does the level of control held by Korean headquarters over foreign subsidiaries have in terms of competency in the subsidiaries? Second, what kind of nonlinear effects do the local experiences of overseas subsidiaries have on their competency? Design/methodology - With data on Korean multinational corporations (MNCs), this paper analyzes the effects of control levels of headquarters (HQs) and host-country experiences of foreign subsidiaries regarding competency in overseas subsidiaries. In particular, this study focuses on nonlinear models, differentiating it from previous studies. In order to examine research hypotheses, this study conducted a survey of overseas subsidiaries of Korean corporations. Surveys were conducted through various methods including e-mail, online questionnaires, fax, and telephone calls. Copies of the questionnaire were distributed to a total of 2,246 overseas subsidiaries, and 409 completed responses were collected. Excluding 15 copies that were insufficiently answered, responses from a total of 394 copies were used for analysis. Findings - This study presents the following results. First, there is a U-shaped relationship between levels of HQ control and competency in foreign subsidiaries. This means that higher levels of HQ control negatively impact the competency levels of subsidiaries because strict control undermines autonomy in subsidiaries. However, if the level of HQ control exceeds a certain point, then the transfer of knowledge between HQs and subsidiaries is facilitated. Knowledge transferred from HQs can be used as prior knowledge by foreign subsidiaries to the benefit of all parties. Accordingly, knowledge transfer negates the negative effects of excessive HQ control and positively affects competency in subsidiaries. Second, there is an inverted U-shaped relationship between the local (host-country) experiences of subsidiaries and competency in foreign subsidiaries. This means that foreign subsidiaries can overcome the liabilities of foreignness and contribute to capability building by accumulating unique knowledge about their host countries. However, if local experiences accumulate excessively beyond a certain point, then the host country-specific experiences of foreign subsidiaries will offset the benefits discussed above. Excessive local experiences not only increase organizational inertia, but also create a problem of goal incongruence due to information asymmetry between HQs and subsidiaries. Therefore, excessive local experiences have negative effects on competency in foreign subsidiaries. Originality/value - This study suggests the following implications. First, unlike existing studies based mainly on linear models, this study presents important theoretical implications in its focus on nonlinear models and its analysis of the effects of HQ control and local experiences on competency in foreign subsidiaries from perspectives of organizational learning theory and agency theory. Second, in terms of practical implications, the results of this study suggest that optimally raising levels of HQ control and managing the local experiences of subsidiaries without increasing organizational inertia is important for enhancing competency in foreign subsidiaries.

지식공유를 매개로 인적자원관리가 조직내부성과에 미치는 영향: C시를 중심으로 (Human Resource Management, Knowledge Sharing, and Organizational Performance in a Local Government)

  • 인적자원관리와 지식공유는 조직의 성과향상을 위해 필수적인 전략으로서 매우 중요한 연구주제임에도 불구하고 이들 개념간의 연계고리를 밝히고자 하는 연구는 매우 적었다. 본 연구에서는 지방정부를 대상으로, 인적자원관리와 지식공유 그리고 조직내부성과간의 관계를 분석하였다. 분석결과 인적자원관리는 지식공유에 긍정적인 영향을 미치며, 지식공유는 인적자원관리를 부분적으로 매개하여 조직의 내부성과에 영향을 미치는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 정책적 시사점을 제시하였다.

지식센터로서의 공공도서관 분석 프레임워크 (Analysis Framework of Public Library as Knowledge Center)

  • 최근 정보통신기술의 발전은 공공도서관의 정체성을 모호하게 만들고 있다. 또한 지역사회의 공공도서관을 지식생성관점에서 연구한 문헌은 거의 존재하지 않는 상황이다. 본 연구에서는 지역공공도서관을 전통적인 도서대출기능을 수행하는 주체로부터, 지식과 사회자본을 생성하는 주체라는 새로운 관점에서 바라볼 수 있음을 보이고자 한다. 이를 위해서 이 논문은 지식관리와 지식도시 개념을 바탕으로 공공도서관을 분석하는 분석틀을 제시한다. 이 분석틀의 타당성을 검토하기 위하여 뉴저지 주 리지우드 도서관을 하나의 사례로 분석한다.
