Recently, along with the innovative development of wireless communication techniques and mobile devices, mobile P2P services in mobile wireless networks have gained a lot of attention. In this paper, we propose a resource discovery scheme with data dissemination over mobile P2P networks. In the proposed scheme, each peer manages a local information table, a resource index table, and a routing table in a local database to enhance the accuracy and cost of resource discovery. The local information table stores the status of a mobile peer, and the resource index table stores the resource information of the neighbor peers via the ranking function. The routing table is used to communicate with the neighbor peers. We use a timestamp message to determine whether or not the resource index table will be changed before the resource information is exchanged. Our ranking function considers the interest and mobility of the mobile peer and prioritizes the resource information transmitted from the neighbor peers. It is shown via various experiments that the proposed scheme outperforms the existing scheme.

This paper deals with the WASPIFA (Web-based Assistant System for Protein-protein Interaction and Function Analysis) system that can provide the comprehensive information on Protein-protein interaction and function concerned with function analysis. Different from existing systems for protein function and protein-protein interaction analysis, which provide fragmentary information restricted to specific field, our system furnishes end-user with comprehensive and synthetic information on the input sequence to be analyzed, including function and annotation information, domain information, and interaction relationship information. The synthetic information that our system contains as local databases has been extracted from many resources related to function, annotation, motif and domain by various pre-processing. Employing our system, end-users can evaluate and judge the synthetic results to do protein interaction and function analysis effectively. In addition, the WASPIFA system is equipped with automatic system management and data update function that facilitates system manager to maintain and manage it efficiently.

The space for production, such as studios and control rooms, is a space for TV program production, which is the main function of broadcast. A block planning for such space should be carefully designed, because it can significantly affect the efficiency of production, as well as future productivity and the development and expandability of production. From the results of comparative analysis of 7 local terrestrial broadcasters built since the late 1990s, this study will. propose an ideal block planning for the future construction of local terrestrial broadcasters. Also, the results can be used a basic data when constructing new buildings for local broadcasters.

There is a wide range of agreement for reorganization of administrative units. It is expected that regionalization of city governments and city-county consolidation would contribute to enhance efficiency of extension services and weaken citizen accessibility, responsiveness, and participation. Therefore, it is suggested that branch office of extension center should be provided to the isolated rural areas in order to maintain the appropriate level of services. Also, the relationship and linkage between the national/regional government and local extension centers should be reshaped by making current linkage system such as monthly Provincial Meeting and central-local association more effective. Establishment of agricultural database of each local region is needed to strengthen local extension center's role. Finally, extension service agency needs to consider to expand its function from the traditional extension services to a variety of 'rural issues.'

Artificial potential field (APF) is a widely used method for local path planning of autonomous mobile robot. So far, many different types of APF have been implemented. Once the artificial potential functions are selected, how to choose appropriate parameters of the functions is also an important work. In this paper, a detailed analysis is given on how to choose proper parameters of artificial functions to eliminate free path local minima and avoid collision between robots and obstacles. Two kinds of potential functions: Gaussian type and Quadratic type of potential functions are used to solve the above local minima problem respectively. To avoid local minima occurred in realistic situations such as 1) a case that the potential of the goal is affected excessively by potential of the obstacle, 2) a case that the potential of the obstacle is affected excessively by potential of the goal, the design guidelines for selecting appropriate parameters of potential functions are proposed.

As school violence gets serious, the school system created the local board against school violence in order to respond to school violence effectively. Yet, there are not many studies about the effectiveness of the local board against school violence. A few studies investigated teachers' perception about the local board while the information about the school resource officers' perception is not known much. The current study surveyed school resource officers about their perception towards the function of the local board, its member, and the response of the principal to school violence. Participants are the school resource officers working for the four metropolitan police agencies(Seoul, Kyunggi, Busan, and Ulsan) in Korea, and were asked to answer to structured and open-ended questions. The results indicated that the officers thought the local board did not very well for the function of protecting the victim's rights. In addition, they believed that the participation of parents needs to be limited in the membership, and more experts should be included in the membership of the local board. They also thought the principals should be tough in dealing with school violence. The discussion includes ideas about improving professionalism of the membership and making changes on the related regulations.

This study, based on an ethnographic field-research in Hwangryong marketplace at Jangsung, explores the transformational process of local community and local marketplace from the end of the 19th century. I attempt to use methodology of oral statement and memory. In socio-economic, political and cultural sence, Hwangryong market which made the 18th century was central place of Jangsung. It was famous of cattle marketplace from the end of Lee Dynasty. The heyday of Hwangryong market is vitalized in the ruling of Japan. Japanese government collect tax and agricultural products through this marketplace. After independence of 1945, the economic function of it was weakened, but the other side political function was strengthened. The socio-economic and cultural status of this market was revitalized after the end of Korean war notwithstanding trial of moving of marketplace. But peasant migration and mechanization of agriculture from the end of 1950' had been brought about a critical moment to Hwangryong marketplace as cattle market. The opening of Honam express road at 1973 was decisively weakened socio-economic, cultural function and role of this marketplace. Consequently, Hwangryong marketplace was transformed small local market. The identity of cattle marketplace was rarely remained in recent. This inclination will not be stopped if not linking to local festival or invention of local specialities.

This work concerns estimating a regression function, which is not linear, using aggregate data. In much of the empirical research, data are aggregated for various reasons before statistical analysis. In a traditional parametric approach, a linear estimation of the non-linear function with aggregate data can result in unstable estimators of the parameters. More serious consequence is the bias in the estimation of the non-linear function. The approach we employ is the kernel regression smoothing. We describe the conditions when the aggregate data can be used to estimate the regression function efficiently. Numerical examples will illustrate our findings.

This study identifies the present status of multicultural broadcasting programs as multicultural phenomenon is spreading throughout Korean society and it discusses how a local broadcasting has to reflect locality and multicultural characteristic. A notion on the local of multimedia and multichannel time is expanding as a concept of emotional and psychological territory over geographical space. Therefore the locality should reflect attachment and interests of its members as well as disseminating multicultural reality. A locality for broadcasting should accept differences, reflect a cultural diversity, and satisfy its dynamics. The purpose of this study is to inquire whether a local broadcasting is performing its function as a local press and a place forpublic opinions by examining how they reflect reality of local, where an inflow of Immigrants and their cultures are altering the place as a multicultural society, and what Programs they propose. This study also presents media education for immigrants, revitalization of community, multicultural education about local citizens, and practical use of multicultural contents and small output radio as a source of supply for local broadcasting program in order to harmonize production of multlcultural media contents In local society.

HTML5 has developed not to have browser dependancy considering interoperability as same as maintaining compatability with lower versions of HTML. HTML5, the newest web standardization is on going of being structured. Along with the smart phone boom, HTML5 is spotlighted because it can be applied to cross platforms in mobile web environments. Specially the local Storage that has been listed in new features in HTML5 supports offline function for web application that enables web application to be run even when the mobile is not connected to 3G or wifi. With Local storage, development of server-independent web application can be possible. However Local storage stores plaintext data in it without applying any security measure and this makes the plaintext data dangerous to security threats that are already exist in other client side storages like Cookie. In the paper we propose secure Local storage methods to offer a safe way to store and retrieve data in Local storage guaranteeing its performance. Suggested functions in this paper follow localStorage standard API and use a module that provide cryptographic function. We also prove the efficiency of suggested secure Local storage based on its performance evaluation with implementation.
