서울시는 지하수법의 시행기관으로서 관할구역의 지하수에 대한 체계적개발·이용 및 보존관리를 수행하여야한다. 본 연구는 서울시 지하수의 체계적관리를 위한 기본연구로서 GIS 데이터베이스를 이용한 1/5,000 수문지질도를 시범작성하였으며, 이의 활용방안을 제시하였다. 서울시청 및 각 자치구청에서는 이러한 대축척의 수문지질도를 이용하여 지하수의 체계적 관리 및 개발이용에 관련된 신고, 허가 업무를 처리할 수 있을 것이다. 수문지질도의 정보들은 서울시에서 구상하고 있는 지하수관리, 통합정보시스템 내에 대단위의 GIS 데이터베이스로 구축될 예정이며, 본 연구를 통하여 1/5,000 수문지질도 데이터베이스 구축을 위한 지형지물 및 속성정보에 대한 분류체계가 정립되었다.

The National BioResource Project of Japan is a governmental project to promote domestic/international research activities using biological resources. The project has 27 biological resources including three cereal resources. The core center and sub-center which historically collected the cereal resources were selected for each cereal program. These resources are categorized into several different types in the project; germplasm, genetic stocks, genome resources and database information. Contents of rice resources are wild species, local varieties in East and Southwest Asia & wild relatives, MNU-induced chemical mutant lines, marker tester lines, chromosome substitution lines and other experimental lines. Contents of wheat resources are wild strains, cultivated strains, experimental lines, rye wild and cultivated strains; EST clones and full-length cDNA clones. Contents of barley resources are cultivar and experimental lines, core collection, EST/cDNA clones, BAC clones, their filters and superpool DNA. Each resource is accessible from the online database to see the contents and information about the resources. Links to the genome information and genomic tools are also important function of each database. The major contents and some examples are presented here.

데이터베이스를 사용하여 분산된 환경에서 많은 응용이 구축되어감에 따라 지역 데이터베이스의 자치성은 유지하면서 데이터베이스들을 상호 공유하는 데이터웨어하우징, 데이터마이닝 등의 응용이 많이 늘고 있다. 이러한 응용의 첫 번째 요구사항은 이질의 데이터베이스 스키마 통합이다. 기존의 데이터베이스 스키마 통합은 통합을 위한 스키마 공통 모델의 부재, 스키마 통합 프로그램의 복잡성으로 어려움을 겪어 왔다. 본 연구는 XML Schema를 데이터베이스 스키마 통합을 위한 공통된 데이터모델로 사용하여 데이터 모델을 표준화하고, 스키마 통합을 위한 연산들을 정의하여 이를 XSLT로 대응시킴으로써 스키마 통합 자동화 프로그래밍의 복잡성을 해결하며, 스키마 충돌 유형에 따라 통합하는 방법을 제시하였다. 제시된 방법은 기존의 통합 모델에 비하여 표준화, 확장성 등의 장점을 갖는다.

Citing literature is a very important activity for scholars in writing articles. Many publishers and libraries build citation databases and provide citation reports on scholarly journals. Cited-by linking is a service representing what an article cites and how many times it cites a specific article within a journal database. Recently, information services based on DOIs (Digital Object Identifiers) have been increasing in number. CrossRef, a non-profit organization for the DOI registration agency, maintains the DOI system and provides the cited-by linking service. Recently, the number of Korean journals adopting DOI is also rapidly increasing. The Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information (KISTI) supports Korean learned societies in DOI related activities in collaboration with CrossRef. This study analyzes cited patterns of Korean DOI journal articles using CrossRef's cited-by linking data and a Korean journal citation database. This analysis has been performed in terms of publication country and the language of journals citing Korean journal articles. The results show that DOI, SCI(E) (Science Citation Index (Expanded)), and English journals are more likely to be cited internationally.

효율적인 데이터베이스 마케팅을 위하여 고객들을 세분화하고, 새로운 지식을 탐색할 수 있는 데이터마이닝의 필요성이 증대되고 있다. 데이터마이닝 도구를 구축하기 위해서는 단계별 구현이 요구되어 지는데, 본 연구에서는 데이터마이닝을 위한 분산 환경에 적응 가능한 데이터 전처리 도구를 구성하였다. 기존의 데이터마이닝 도구인 앤서 트리, 클레멘타인, 엔터프라이즈 마이너, 캔싱턴, 웨카의 전처리 부분을 고찰하고, 분산 환경에서 효율적으로 사용할 수 있는 데이터 마이닝 전처리 도구를 구성하였다. 새로이 제안된 시스템은 엔터프라이즈 자바 빈즈와 XML을 기반으로 하였다.

본고에서는 GIS를 이용한 용도지역의 개선방안이 제시되었다. 대상지역으로는 경기도의 용인시를 대상으로 용도지역 중에서 준농림지를 대상으로 하였다. 관리자중심의 사용자의 요구분석사항을 거쳐서, 데이터베이스의 설계방안과 사용자 인터페이스를 구축하는 과정을 소개하였고, 다소 시범적이어서 기능상의 한계 및 완벽한 사용자 인터페이스의 미비 등에도 불구하고 일선의 지방정부 수준의 업무에서 사용되어질 수 있는 가능성을 제시하였다. 범용GIS인 ARC/INFO와 ArcView를 중심으로 구축되어졌고 퍼스널 컴퓨터에서 의사결정 보조시스템의 형식을 띠고 있는 본 시스템은 시간요소의 결합 등이 가미되면서 전반적 계획의 작성에 있어서 효율성과 효과성을 함께 제고할 수 있는 의사결정보조도구가 될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

In recent, interests regarding open source software for geo-spatial processing are increasing. Open source remote sensing (OSRS) is regarded as one of the progressing and advanced fields in remote sensing. Nevertheless, analyses or application cases regarding OSRS are not enough for general uses or references. In this study, three kinds of OSRS software in consideration of international popularity, types of functionalities, and development environments are taken into account: OSSIM, Opticks, and ORFEO Toolbox (OTB). First, functional comparison with respect to these is carried out on the level of the preliminary survey. According to this investigation, OTB is chosen as the most applicable OSRS software in this study. Running on OTB, NIX format importing module and database connecting module are implemented for widely general uses and further application. As for an example case, airborne image of NIX format is used to region growing segmentation algorithm in OTB, and then the results are stored and retrieved in PostGIS database to test implemented modules. Conclusively, local customization and algorithm development using OSRS software are necessary to build on-demand applications from the developers' viewpoint.

To maintain the traditional notion of global serializability in multidatabase systems has been recognized as one of difficult problems due to the autonomy of participating local database systems. In this paper, we propose a global concurrency control algorithm based on the relaxed concurrency control criterion in distributed MDBs, which can be applied to applications in which the database integration has no effect on the integrity constraints. In the proposed algorithm, the process to determine whether a global transaction can be executed or not consists of intra-validation phase and inter-validation phase.

본 논문에서는 다양하게 변화되는 캐릭터 영상을 색상과 형태의 정보를 포함한 국부 색상 분포(local color histogram)를 이용하여 유사도 검색을 하는 강인한 방법을 제안한다. 국부 색상 분포의 값을 양자화 하여 특징 값을 최적화하고, 대규모 데이터베이스에 저장되어 있는 영상정보와 Bipartite matching을 이용하여 검색한다. 제안되는 방법은 다양하게 변화되는 영상의 유사도 검색, 동영상 및 정지 영상에서 유사 영상 검색에 매우 효과적인 방법이다.

기획단계에서의 예상 공사비 추정은 사업성 자체를 판단하는 중요한 자료로써 활용된다. 그러므로 사업주는 보다 정확한 금액자료의 산출을 기대하는데 이를 위해서 세계적으로 Cost 전문가들의 많은 연구검토가 있어 왔으나 아직 국내의 적산사는 주로 물량산출 및 상세 견적업무에만 매달려 있는 실정이다. 본 논문은 요소별/기능 부위별 비용의 분석을 통한 Database를 활용하여 개산견적의 결과물을 보다 정확하게 만든 사례의 소개를 통해 국내 개산견적 실무에 일조하고자 한다.
