사용중인 구조물의 보강효과에 대한 해석적 연구 (Numerical Analysis on External Strengthening Effects in Aged Structures)

  • In this study, a numerical analysis that can effectively predict the effect of strengthening of cracked flexural members is developed using axial deformation link elements. Concrete and interface between concrete and repair material are considered as quasi-brittle material. Reinforcing bars and reinforcing steel plates are assumed to perform as elasto-plastic materials. Unloading behavior of axial deformation link element is implemented. In the developed numerical model, a flexural member is intentionally cracked by pre-loading, then, the cracked member is repaired using extra elements, and reloaded. The results from analysis of repaired flexural members agrees well with available experiment results. Also, it was shown that the effect of strengthening and the change of failure mode with respect to the time for strengthening and thickness of repair materials. Based on the results, it was determined that the developed numerical model has a good agreement for determining failure modes and effect of strengthening in cracked flexural members. By utilizing the developed numerical analysis, the time and dimension of external strengthening in an existing cracked flexural member with predition of failure mechanism can be determined.

  • In this research, we have developed a load/unload device capable of correcting the position automatically. Characteristic technologies such as compensation, control, guidance and communication have been modified and implemented on an existing electromagnetic guided AGV, helping to realize open system and distributed cooperation. We have applied the developed AGV with remote control and heterogeneous load/unload mechanisms in a machining system composed of various equipment such as machining centers, CMN and AS/RS and found that the AGV provided position error within $\pm$2mm.

초대형 선박용 차세대 컨테이너 크레인의 설계기준 (Design Criteria of a Future Container Crane for Megaships)

  • In this paper, the design criteria of future container crane for megaships are investigated. The current loading/unloading capacity of a typical container crane, roughly 30 moves/hr, is too law to meet the requirements of future super containerships, which are expected over 15,000 TEU. After examining the transition of containerships through the years and studying the research trend in developed countries, the specifications of the container crane that can Meet a 15,000 TEU containership are proposed. The structure, trolley and hoist mechanism, outreach, backreach, capacity, speeds, durability, and stability of the future container crane are described.

  • Calcium Silicate Hydrate (C-S-H), which takes up most of the hydration products of Portland Cement (PC), has the greatest impact on the mechanical behavior and strength development of concrete. The exact mechanism of its deformation, however, has not yet been elucidated. The present study aims to demonstrate the mechanism of nano-deformation behavior of C-S-H in tricalcium silicate paste under compressive loading, unloading and reloading by interpreting atomic pair distribution function (PDF) based on synchrotron X-ray scattering. The strain of the tricalcium silicate paste for a short-range of 0 ~ 20 Å under compressive load exhibited two stages, I) nano-packing of interlayer of C-S-H and II) micro-packing of C-S-H globules, whereas the deformation for a long-range order of 20 ~ 40 Å was similar to that of a calcium hydroxide phase measured by Bragg peak shift. Moreover, the residual strains due to the plastic deformation of C-S-H was clearly observed.

압밀, 토모그래피, 액상화시험에서 벤더엘리먼트의 적용 (Application of Bender Elements in Consolidation, Tomography, and Liquefaction Tests)

  • 본 논문은 벤더 엘리먼트를 압밀, 토모그래피, 그리고 액상화에 적용하는 방법을 다루었다. 모래와 점토를 이용하여 압밀 시험을 수행하면서 전단파 속도를 측정하여 하중 재하 및 제하 시기를 평가하였다. 전단파 속도는 유효응력의 함수이므로 전단파 속도를 이용하여 하중 재하시기를 결정할 수 있으나, 침하량 기준과 전단파 속도(유효응력) 메카니즘이 다를 수 있으므로 주의해야 한다. 또한 전단파 속도는 고결화 제어 구간(cemented controlled regime)과 응력 제어 구간(stress controlled regime)으로 구별할 수 있어 응력이력현상을 확인할 수 있다. 벤더 엘리먼트가 설치된 고정된 프레임에서 전단파 토모그래피가 가능하다. 낮은 구속응력상태와 진 삼축 장비 내에서 토모그래피 실험을 수행한 결과 전단파 토모그래피는 평균유효응력과 관련된 전단파 속도 변화의 관측에 사용될 수 있음을 보여 주였다. 한편 액상화와 같은 어떤 현상을 관측하기 위하여 반복 주기가 높은 방식의 전단파 트랜스-일루미네이션(trans-illumination)이 적용되었다. 전단파 속도와 크기의 전개는 액상화 동안 과잉간극수압의 경향과 평행함을 알 수 있었다. 본 논문에서 소개한 적용들은 벤더 엘리먼트가 실내 시험에서 전단파 검측에 상당히 효과적인 방법이 될 수 있음을 보여준다.

마이크로 드릴비트의 워터젯 세척 로봇시스템의 공정 시뮬레이션 분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on Process Simulation Analysis of the Water Jet Cleaning Robot System for Micro Drill-bits)

  • A water jet cleaning robot system for micro drill bits is to refurbish micro drill bits used for the PCB manufacturing process. It can refurbish drill bits with the minimum diameter of ${\phi}0.15{\sim}0.075mm$ of which the total quantity have been discarded before. Micro drill bits with the minimum diameter of ${\phi}0.075mm$ can be cleaned by applying the water jet cleaning robot system out of the manual ultrasonic cleaning in the past for the cleaning equipment as the initial process in refurbishing. This study analyzed problems, while applying the apparatus mechanism for the workability such as the robot traces of Transfer Robot I and II, drill bit loading and unloading, and cleaning tasks in the water jet cleaning robot system in an effort to carry out simulations. In addition, the cleaning work process was optimized as the work process was verified in advance and the production quantity was analyzed through simulations.

  • 응력하에서 암석 및 암반의 변형특성의 원인이되는 손상발달에 대한 이해는 지질공학 및 토목공학에 있어서 매우 중요하다. 지금까지의 연구에서 본면 실험전과 후의 관찰로서 응력하의 미소손상발달에 대한 연구는 아직 미미한 실절이다. 그러므로 응력하에서 손상과 정을 직접 관찰하는 것은 매우 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 응력하 중립질 화강암의 미소손상에 대한 보다 정확한 이해를 위해 미소손상집중, 발생 및 진전등에 석영과 장석의 접촉면에서 새로이 개발한 실험장치에의해 상세히 관찰되었다. 그 결과 두입자의 elastic mismatch 와 Hertzian fracture mechanice에 의해 잘 설명된다.

기계류부품의 고온상승, 고 토크와 미소토크의 시험장치 개발 (Development of machinery parts test device for the rising high temperature and measuring large and tiny scale torque)

  • For a reliability assessment of machinery parts, accurate performance test, environmental test, life test, etc. are required on the sample. In the performance test conditions of various machinery parts, some problems happen such as needs to rise temperature rapidly with large flow of oil having very low thermal conductivity and to measure very high torque or tiny torque, etc. This study brings out the method to apply heat to rise temperature for large flow of oil without chemical change in a performance test of oil cooler. To measure large scale of torque in a performance test of planetary gearbox of excavator, the method of torque measurement is proposed by replacing the large torque meter priced very expensive. To measure very small torque on lubricated friction, a methode of force balance type test mechanism is introduced for tests of piston assembly.

Ductility and ductility reduction factor for MDOF systems

  • Ductility capacity is comprehensively studied for steel moment-resisting frames. Local, story and global ductility are being considered. An appropriate measure of global ductility is suggested. A time domain nonlinear seismic response algorithm is used to evaluate several definitions of ductility. It is observed that for one-story structures, resembling a single degree of freedom (SDOF) system, all definitions of global ductility seem to give reasonable values. However, for complex structures it may give unreasonable values. It indicates that using SDOF systems to estimate the ductility capacity may be a very crude approximation. For multi degree of freedom (MDOF) systems some definitions may not be appropriate, even though they are used in the profession. Results also indicate that the structural global ductility of 4, commonly used for moment-resisting steel frames, cannot be justified based on this study. The ductility of MDOF structural systems and the corresponding equivalent SDOF systems is studied. The global ductility values are very different for the two representations. The ductility reduction factor $F_{\mu}$ is also estimated. For a given frame, the values of the $F_{\mu}$ parameter significantly vary from one earthquake to another, even though the maximum deformation in terms of the interstory displacement is roughly the same for all earthquakes. This is because the $F_{\mu}$ values depend on the amount of dissipated energy, which in turn depends on the plastic mechanism, formed in the frames as well as on the loading, unloading and reloading process at plastic hinges. Based on the results of this study, the Newmark and Hall procedure to relate the ductility reduction factor and the ductility parameter cannot be justified. The reason for this is that SDOF systems were used to model real frames in these studies. Higher mode effects were neglected and energy dissipation was not explicitly considered. In addition, it is not possible to observe the formation of a collapse mechanism in the equivalent SDOF systems. Therefore, the ductility parameter and the force reduction factor should be estimated by using the MDOF representation.

전자파 차단을 위한 �Q드캔용 고정 클립 개발에 관한 연구 (The Study on a Fixing-clip of a Shield Can Shielding Electromagnetic wave)

  • 본 연구에서는 양쪽 대칭으로 지지할 수 있는 쉴드캔 클립을 제안하며, 그 특징은 장착과 탈착의 하중을 일정하게 하고 납땜 부위의 평판도를 유지 할 수 있도록 개발하였다. 또한 인쇄회로기판에 부착 고정되는 베이스부 및 쉴드캔의 측벽을 집게 형태로 집을 수 있도록 하는 클립부로 구성되며, 클립부 중앙을 절단하여 2군데를 지지 할 수 있게 이루어진다. 또한 넓어진 베이스부와 인쇄회로기판 사이에 납땜이 잘될 수 있도록 오목한 홈을 만들었다. 연구절차는 우선 메커니즘을 설정하고 구조해석 및 진동모드 해석을 수행하여 설계변수를 확정한 후, 제품을 설계하였다. 제조를 위한 전용기를 개발한 후 시제품을 제작하여 성능 평가 후 해석값과 비교 분석하였다.
