DADS를 이용한 밸런스 샤프트 장착 직렬 3기통 엔진의 진동 해석 (Vibration Analysis of In-line Three Cylinder Engine with Balance Shaft Using DADS)

  • For the in-line three cylinder engine whose crankshaft has a phase of 120 degrees, the total sum of unbalanced inertia forces occurring in each cylinder will be counterbalanced among three cylinders. However, parts of inertia forces generated at the No.1 and No.3 cylinders will cause a primary moment about the No.2 cylinder. In order to eliminate this out-of-balance moment, a single balance shaft has been attached to the cylinder block so that the engine durability and riding comfort may be further improved. Accordingly, the forced vibration analysis of the in-line three cylinder engine must be implemented to meet the required targets at an early design stage. In this paper, a method to reduce noise and vibration in the 800cc, in-line three cylinder LPG engine is suggested using the multibody dynamic simulation. The static and dynamic balances of the in-line three cylinder engine are investigated analytically. The multibody dynamic model of the in-line three cylinder engine is developed where the inertia properties of connecting rod, crankshaft, and balance shaft are extracted from their FE-models. The combustion pressure within the No.1 cylinder in three significant operating conditions(1500rpm-full load, 4000rpm-full load and 7000rpm-no load)is measured from the actual tests to excite the engine. The vibration velocities at three engine mounts with and without balance shaft are evaluated through the forced vibration analysis. Obviously, it is shown that the vibration of the in-line three cylinder engine with balance shaft is reduced to the acceptable level .

보행 시 부하의 위치에 따른 발의 안정성 및 운동학적 분석에 관한 연구 (The Studies on the Foot Stability and Kinesiology by Direction of Carry a Load during Gait)

  • Purpose: This study examined how the direction of carrying a load affects the foot stability and kinesiology while walking. Methods: The heel rotation, Hallux stiffness, foot balance, metatarsal load, toe out angle, subtalar joint flexibility were measured in 40 adults (men and women) who carried a load back and forth, walking on a 2-meter-long board. The measurement was carried out three times and the mean of the measurements was used to compare the difference between the front, back and the condition without a load. Results: While walking, heel rotation and hallux stiffness occurred most when a front load was applied compared to a back load or no load condition (p<0.05). A metatarsal load also appeared to be the highest with the frond load, but there was no significant difference in the balance of the whole foot. Both the toe out angle and subtalar joint flexibility appeared to increase significantly (p<0.05). Conclusion: Applying the front load causes subtalar joint instability and increases the plantar foot pressure imbalance during walking.

  • In electric power industry. load balance has been one of the most fundamental and important management goals. Therefore. the strategy to achieve high quality load management now includes load balance besides the stabilization of electricity supply and quality management of electricity. Amongst many techniques of load management. direct load management has been actively studied and utilized to increase power facility and peak load suppression. Higher peak load situation is appeared during summer than during winter in Korea. and approximately 20% of the peak load is due to the load for air-conditioning. To cope with this peak load problem during summer KEPCO is performing a research project to develop a system to remotely control air-conditioning load using wireless communication. Currently, applicable facilities are limited to small-scale air-conditioning facility that has less than 2KW power capacity. This paper described the 1st year of efforts made in the study.

참조 정보를 이용한 RAID5 제어기의 부하 균형 반출 기법 (The Load Balancing Destage Algorithm of RAID5 Controller using Reference History)

  • Write requests which stored in disk cache of the RAID5 controller should be destaged to disk arrays according to the destage algorithm. As the response performance of the parallel IO request is being hit by the effect of the destage, several destage algorithms have been studied to enhance the performance of he RAID5 controller. Among the destage algorithms, the load balancing destage algorithm has better performance than other destage algorithms when system load is highly increased. But the load balancing destage algorithm gives priority to load balance among the disks in disk arrays, therefore, when some disks are affected by the very heavy system load caused by small data requests, the load balancing destage algorithm cannot enhance the performance of parallel IO requests effectively since it makes effort to maintain the load balance without the benefit of the locality of the write requests. This paper proposes a new RAID5 controller that applied reference-load balancing destage algorithm which decides the destage priority based on the reference history and load distribution of the disks. The simulation results show that RAID5 controller with the reference-load balancing destage algorithm has better performance than previous load balancing destage algorithm.

  • In this study, the balance beam control subsystem, new type of construction machinery using the mechanism of CMG (control moment gyro), for the attitude control of an unstructured object such as a beam carried by a tower crane, is designed and implemented. The balance beam controller consists of a wheel spinning at high speed and an outer gimbal for controlling the attitude of the wheel. Two motors, one for the wheel and the other for the gimbal, are used. Applying force to the spin axis of the wheel, as an input of the system, leads the torque about the axis because of the gyro effects. This torque is used to control the attitude of the unstructured object in this study. For the stabilizer function, in addition, holding the load at the current position, the attitude of the wheel is freed by cutting the power applied to the gimbal motor of the balance beam controller, which result in the braking force to stop the load by gyro effect. The works presented here include the mechanical system of the balance beam controller, the remote controller, the servo controller and the control software for the system. We also present experimental results to show that the system we proposed is useful as a new construction machinery which can control the attitude of the beam hanging from a tower crane.

농경지 양분관리를 위한 양분수지 지표와 양분부하 지표간의 비교 (Comparison of nutrient balance and nutrient loading index for cultivated land nutrient management)

  • 최근 농경지 투입양분으로 인한 환경영향의 우려와 함께 하천 등으로 유출되는 양분의 오염부하 관리가 요구되고 있다. 이에 정부는 국내 농지의 양분 과잉 투입 문제를 해결하기 위해 농경지의 양분관리 목표를 설정하여 관리하는 양분관리제도의 도입을 추진하고 있다. 본 연구는 국내 합리적인 양분관리제도 도입을 위한 양분관리 지표 기준을 설정하고자 도 단위의 양분부하와 양분수지 지표를 분석하고 지표별 특성을 비교 검토하였다. 도 단위 질소와 인성분의 양분부하와 양분수지 분석에서 지역별 양분부하 순위와 양분수지 순위가 다르게 나타나, 지역의 양분수준을 평가하는데 있어 양분부하와 양분수지의 두 지표는 서로 상이한 지표 값을 도출하는 것으로 나타났다. 양분부하와 양분수지 간의 상관관계 분석에서 질소성분의 경우 상관관계 계수(r)는 0.2504로서 5% 유의수준에서 통계적 유의성이 없었으며, 인성분의 경우 상관관계 계수(r)가 0.7375로서 5% 유의수준에서 통계적 유의성이 인정되었다. 따라서 양분관리 지표활용에 있어 인성분의 경우 양분부하와 양분수지 간의 상호 호환성이 나타났으나, 질소 성분의 경우 양분부하와 양분수지 간의 상호 호환성이 없는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 지역의 양분관리 지표로서 농업환경 특성을 반영하는 양분수지 지표의 활용이 합리적인 것으로 평가되었다.

eICIC 가 적용된 이종 셀룰러 망을 위한 부하 분산 기법 (Load Balancing Scheme for Heterogeneous Cellular Networks Using e-ICIC)

  • 기존의 매크로 셀룰러 망 환경은 공간 재사용의 한계로 인해 최근 급증하는 데이터 트래픽을 제대로 지원할 수 없게 되었다. 이 문제를 극복하기 위해 매크로 셀룰러 망위에 스몰 셀이 설치되어 적극적인 공간 재사용이 가능한 이종 셀룰러 망이 등장하게 되었다. 하지만, 매크로 셀과 스몰 셀 사이의 전송전력 차이로 인해 매크로 셀에 집중된 부하를 스몰 셀로 충분히 분산 시킬 수 없었다. 따라서, 프레임의 일정구간에서 매크로 셀의 전송전력을 차단하는 almost blank subframe (ABS) 와 스몰 셀 커버리지를 확장하여 사용자 부하를 스몰 셀로 강제 분산시키는 cell range expansion을 결합한 enhanced inter-cell interference coordination (eICIC) 기법이 제안되었다. 그러나, 이러한 eICIC 기법만으로는 효과적인 부하 분산을 달성하기 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 eICIC 기법이 적용된 이종 셀룰러 망 환경에서 비례공정을 향상시키는 부하 분산 기법을 제안한다. 구체적으로 제안된 기법은 탐욕 알고리즘 기반의 사용자의 소속 기지국 전환과 ABS 구간비율 갱신을 재귀적으로 결합하여 부하 분산을 실행한다.

열간압연 권취공정의 장력제어를 위한 LTBC 제어기 설계 (Design of LTBC Controller for Tension Control in Down Coiler Process of Hot Strip Mills)

  • In this paper, we propose an LTBC (Low Tension and Load Balance Control) scheme to improve a coiling shape control by reduction the tension fluctuation by the torque disturbance in the down coiler process of hot strip mills. The proposed controller is a combination of an LTC to control the overload at load-on in the mandrel and an LBC to regulate the load balance of the upper and bottom pinch roll. A tension calculation model is suggested with the concept of the tension deviation. The effectiveness of the proposed control scheme is verified from simulation under a disturbance of the pinch roll torque. Using a field test, we show that the performance of the shape and tension control is improved by the LTBC control.

다중프로세서 시스템 환경에서 병렬 루프 스케쥴링 알고리즘 (A Parallel Loop Scheduling Algorithm on Multiprocessor System Environments)

  • 병렬 스케줄링의 목적은 다중프로세서 시스템 환경에서 병렬성을 가진 응용프로그램에 대해 최소의 동기화 오버헤드와 부하균등(load balance)을 달성하도록 스케줄링을 수행하는데 있다. 프로세서들이 병렬 반복(iteration)을 실행하기 위해서는 메모리로부터 반복들에 대한 chunk를 계산하고 할당받게 된다. 이때, 전역 메모리의 상호 배타적인 빈번한 접근으로 많은 스케쥴링 오버헤드 및 병목현상이 발생된다. 또한, 프로세서에게 할당된 chunk내 병렬 반복들의 분포가 서로 상이한 경우,각 chunk의 실행시간이 서로 달라 부하불균등의 원인이 되어 결과적으로 전체 스케쥴링 성능에 나쁜 영향을 준다. 따라서, 최소의 스케줄링 오버 헤드와 부하균등을 달성하기 위해 본 논문에 서는 기존의 방법들에서 문제점들을 도출하고, 자료의 국부성과 프로세서 동족성(affinity)을 고려한 병렬 루프 스케줄링 알고리즘을 제안한다.

Experimental and finite element studies of special-shape arch bridge for self-balance

  • Special-shape arch bridge for self-balance (SBSSAB) in Zhongshan City is a kind of new fashioned spatial combined arch bridge composed of inclined steel arch ribs, curved steel box girder and inclined suspenders, and the mechanical behavior of the SBSSAB is particularly complicated. The SBSSAB is aesthetic in appearance, and design of the SBSSAB is artful and particular. In order to roundly investigate the mechanical behavior of the SBSSAB, 3-D finite element models for spatial member and shell were established to analyze the mechanical properties of the SBSSAB using ANSYS. Finite element analyses were conducted under several main loading cases, moreover deformation and strain values for control section of the SBSSAB under several main loading cases were proposed. To ensure the safety and rationality for optimal design of the SBSSAB and also to verify the reliability of its design and calculation theories, the 1/10 scale model tests were carried out. The measured results include the load checking calculation, lane loading and crowd load, and dead load. A good agreement is achieved between the experimental and analytical results. Both experimental and analytical results have shown that the SBSSAB is in the elastic state under the planned test loads, which indicates that the SBSSAB has an adequate load-capacity. The calibrated finite-element model that reflects the as-built conditions can be used as a baseline for health monitoring and future maintenance of the SBSSAB.
