A Study on the Inverter performance by Simulated Converter (시뮬레이터 컨버터에 의한 인버터 성능시험에 관한 연구)

  • This paper is the machine that is able to estimate a new built power convertor in a production line. Generally, this machine test can be achieved by connecting it to a dynamometer consisting of a three-phase machine joined by a rigid shaft to a DC load machine. But the proposal system is controlled to create some specific load characteristic needed for the test without any mechanical equipment. The suggested test stand consists only of a converter to be test and a simulator converter. Both devices are connected back-to-back on the AC-side via smoothing reactors. The simulator operates in real-time as an equivalent load circuit, so that the device under test will only notice the behaviour of a three-phase machine under consideration of the load. And then, to obtain a superior characteristic for dynamic reference used the feedforward control.

  • In the end of a production line a new built power converter has to undergo a series of stress tests. This can be achieved by connecting it to a dynamometer consisting of a three-phase machine joined by a rigid shaft to a DC load machine. The latter is controlled to create some specific load characteristic needed for the test. In this paper a test method is proposed, in which no mechanical equipment is needed. The suggested test stand consists only of a converter to be tested and a simulator converter. Both devices are connected back-to-back on the AC-side via smoothing reactors. The simulator operates in real-time as an equivalent load circuit, so that the device under test will only notice the behaviour of a three-phase machine under consideration of the load.

  • A dynamo set for a high-power induction motor drive is expensive and needs a long time to manufacture. Therefore, the development of a simulator that functions as the induction motor and load equipment is required. A load simulator of an inverter for a high-power three-phase induction motor consists of a reactor and three-phase PWM inverter. Therefore, it cannot simulate the dynamic characteristics of an induction motor and functions only as a load. In this paper, a real-time simulator is proposed to simulate a model of an induction motor and the load characteristics based on an LCL filter and three-phase PWM rectifier for a three-phase induction motor. The currents of a PWM inverter that simulate the stator currents of the motor are controlled by the inductor currents and capacitor voltages of the LCL filter. The capacitor voltages of the LCL filter simulate the induced voltages in the stator windings by the rotating rotor fluxes of the motor, and the capacitor voltages are controlled by the inductor currents and a PWM rectifier. The rotor currents, the stator and rotor flux linkages, the electromagnetic torque, the slip frequency, and the rotor speed are derived from the inverter currents and the motor parameters. The electrical and mechanical model characteristics and the operation of vector control were verified by MATLAB/Simulink simulation.

  • As the life cycle of the vehicle become shorter, the method that reduce the development time of new model become more important. In this reason, the development of the simulator that provides similar environment with the actual vehicle load characteristics is increasing. In this paper, the link unit of the 3-axis road simulator is designed and simulated with dynamic analysis software ADMS. and the maximum stress and strain are analyzed for the safety of link and specifications of optimal design using finite element method.

  • The Stewart platform is one example of a motion simulator which generates 6 DOF motion in space by 6 actuators connected in parallel. The present SISO controllers are designed to track displacement command of each actuator computed from reference 6 DOF motion of platform by Stewart platform inverse kinematics. But this type of control can't cope with external load variation, geometric configuration of motion simulator, and different dynamic behavior of 6 DOF motion. In this paper, a multivariable controller using H- optimal control theory is designed for linerized simulator model with each actuator driving force as control input and platform 6 DOF motion as measured output. Nonlinear simulation result of the H$_{\infty}$ MIMO controller is not satisfied in steady-state characteristics. But the proposed H$_{\infty}$ + PI control scheme shows acceptable performance.e.e.

  • In this paper the Graphic-based Power System Simulator(GPSS) program is introduced. GPSS is a Power System Simulator that is designed to provide friendly and highly interactive Graphic User Interface(GUI). The main features of GPSS are graphical free editing, quick and fine System-Drawing and Load-Flow analysis. Most of all, mapping power system data(only pure text information) into Graphic Data is of very practical use to power system designer and analyst.

  • An ACC driving simulator is a virtual reality device which designed to test or evaluate vehicle control algorithm. It is designed and built based on the rapid control prototyping(RCP) concept. Therefore this simulator adopt RCP tools to solve the equation of a vehicle dynamics model and control algorithm in real time, rendering engine to provide real-time visual representation of vehicle behavior and CAN communication to reduce networking load. It can provide also many different driving test environment and driving scenarios.

  • The real time simulator for testing the high power inverter unit of a PM synchronous motor is proposed. The power converter of the real time simulator can replaces the dynamo test equipment that consists of a PMSM(PM synchronous motor) and load unit. It is verified by the simulation that the real time simulator has a similar electrical and mechanical characteristics of the PM synchronous motor.

  • As make a simulator including user interface functions like start & stop, load parameters, record and save, view 3D display has a real-like length and numerical value of sizes, represent real-shape of inner and outer part of robot, make the possible fast and slow selective observation as a adjust a step, receiving the images through the image device which attached in robot, so make a motion tester simulator of humanoid robot which coded by windows based GUI(Graphic User Interface) program with a MMI(Man Machine Interface) function that user can watch the environment which included robot and use a images. For implement this, we use a design data that converted data which made by use a CAD for Laser RP(Rapid Prototyping) progress into C coding for simulator programming. Using OpenGL, an API of graphic, it has a efficiency and detail of graphic operation. To make and test animation data, it has the option of save and resume in animation.

  • The maximum power analysis simulator took advantage of the facilities and power consumption reduction simulator test scenario development and testing of improvement in the scenario. As a maximum demand power controller, Maximum power analysis simulator performs control and disperasion of maximum demand power by calculating base power, load forecast, and present power which are based on signal of watt-hour meter to keep the electricity under the target. In addition, various algorithms to select appropriate control methode on each of the light installations through the peak demand power is configured to management. The simulation shows the success of control power for the specified target controlled by five sequential lighting installations.
